While I like the idea of programming I suspect I'll probably be messing around more than anything when I feel like it, I prefer artwork and metal refining/jewellery Tongue

The problem is these morons actually seem to think inflation IS growth >_< I'm not sure they know the difference.

Part of that problem Nolo is that western propaganda in particular has successfully hardwired a lot of people from birth to care more about some human beings than others, the woman was a bitch, but there are millions of people who die around us on this planet every day and there's nothing we can do about it, it's just something that has to be accepted, it should be fought at every opportunity of course, but accepted.

What I'm saying BR0KK is that the people who are against abortion are often both deeply religious and catholic and the fact is for the catholic church at least it does seem to be comprised of an alarming number of child molesters/rapists so I honestly don't really care if I offend people by saying I think they should stay the fuck away from thinking they can tell people what is the morally 'correct' thing to do with children. It's a deeply personal thing and no state, ideology or bullshit sense of righteousness is going to be the answer for every human being out there and people should respect that.

Believe it or not I'm actually being fairly diplomatic here, but if we spin the situation around and put it on a situation where we're on the receiving end, if there was a small mob of women going around tell you you have to go and get a vasectomy and they were lobbying the government to introduce it into law you'd be pretty pissed everyone was telling you what to do with your body wouldn't you? Granted, me personally? If I could get a completely reversible chemical based option I'd probably have it done until I was 40 just so I could have sex with a woman without any consequences lol but that's just me.

I just think it's bullshit to have the discussion at all really on a political level, it's the typical warning from past people beyond the grave where if you get religion involved too much with the state everything goes mental.

lol I dunno, I guess I'm just messing around at the moment now, I'm certainly more art oriented in the thought process and prefer doing stuff with my hands.
8373  Other / Off-topic / Re: God I hate the British on: January 27, 2013, 11:54:26 AM
I've lived in Britain for 22 years since I was a child and the only thing I like about it is the rain, I can think of much worse things than that list about it, actually I think I will write that list.

. Chavs ( Think rednecks but with knives instead of guns and British accents, they tend to wear sports clothing )

. Any girls where I live who you'd want to go date usually have about two guys following them already ( honestly, I'm not exaggerating, they hover around them ) or almost certainly have a boyfriend because of how small the damn island is

. London, perhaps in my view one of the most overrated cities in the world, maybe it was my visit, but I found very little to like about it there just didn't seem to be as much there as people said, I guess it may depend on what you want to do there but for me it was really dull

. The economy is really dead here, particularly in my town, thousands and I mean thousands of homes are up for sale or rent because of the hyper-inflated housing prices

. Schools seem to be nothing more than gang warfare zones, it's as bad if not worse than the U.S, the only thing schools care about are their statistics so that means everything else goes to shit

. Two party system of the Conservative and Labour party, yep, we have a seriously undemocratic democracy, these guys do everything to prevent anyone on the outside getting in, both parties want to build an empire through overspending and inflation, I also find both the leaders incredibly irritating and patronising

. State funded BBC ( British Broadcasting Corporation ) the news from this place is particularly stupid and patronising because they seem to have this obsession with political correctness and it just makes them look like jackasses who don't know the real world, they're often on the giving end of one parties propaganda, usually the side that's going to win, if you actually look at what they say and write properly you'll find they're like a more devious and better spoken version of Fox

. Charity muggers, don't know if you guys get them over where you live but these are people who have been nicknamed so because they basically infest town centres and sometimes supermarkets they often harass people for money constantly and they've become such an issue that the local councils have had to ban them if they get too aggressive etc. they claim to collect for charity but it's actually been pretty well documented they and their bosses get a pretty big percentage of what you give them

. I almost forgot about speed cameras! Yes, speed camera's everywhere, they have this absolute paranoia that speed kills and it's pretty funny that they rant on about it when they deliberately place the camera's at the bottom of a very steep hill ( just as you're about to slow down from a fast speed because of gravity ) and on top of a very steep hill ( the opposite of before ) so yeah I'm sure they care about us and pedestrians deeply.

8375  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Was the Great Pyramid a Giant Lightening Rod? on: January 27, 2013, 11:00:06 AM
I dunno about the lightning rod idea being impossible because lets face it, lightning is electricity.

I guess the trick would be finding metal that's good enough to absorb it without immediately disintegrating from a direct hit and electronics etc. being able to withstand such a massive jolt, wish I knew the figures behind it, in order for it to work though we'd probably have to discover a new metal or element of some sort Tongue
8376  Other / Off-topic / Re: Abortion on: January 27, 2013, 10:53:11 AM
I believe forcing your own morals on someone when it is their choice what to do with their body is immoral if we can even decently define 'morality' which I believe we can't, I'll give my opinion, but in the end as with anything it's up to the people involved to decide for themselves and they can't be forced, I do think abortion on an early basis at least is okay but again, it's up to the mother and this is all extremely personal. Not only that, it's women who are having the baby, so they're the ones who are going to have to go through the trauma of the birth why the hell should a board room of men ( *cough* American catholics *cough ) have any right to decide for women without even properly knowing the situation or even acknowledging the amount of emotional stress they be under? It's reminds me a bit of seeing silly comments by women as well thinking that men can't be raped by a woman while having absolutely no idea what having a penis is like.

I'm sure there will be people who will argue with me about this and I know not all religious people will be like what I describe but honestly, these people who tell us that abortion is 'immoral' are the same people who molest/rape children ( or cover it up ) and think beating them to 'discipline' them is okay so they can go fuck themselves, that goes for all conspiracies that seek to enforce their vision of morality on anyone.

Even if you know how to program, you might not find it as enjoyable as learning it Tongue

Line 1: ERROR statement doesn't make sense fool!
8378  Other / Off-topic / I really don't know what to make of programming anymore on: January 27, 2013, 07:44:02 AM
So awhile ago I posted about learning C++ as you guys know, very basic right now and I'm just fiddling around with tutorial code to see what it all does, I don't know how you all work but for some reason when I actually try to 'learn' the code and what the functions mean my brain falls apart and screams at me, but if I just mess around and tinker with it I almost find it fun and I'll be honest I think I'm learning better that way and I just use code for reference, kind of like how you use photo's in art for reference because you know the poses and lighting etc. will be correct.

Quote
#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main ()

{
int level;

cout<<"Please type what level you want to be: ",
cin>>level;
cin.ignore();
if (level < 25) {
        cout<<"You aren't that powerful Sad\n";
}
else{
    cout<<"You're going to be able to slay a dragon!\n";
}
cin.get();
}

I keep getting in this love/hate thing with programming, I love how logical it is but equally I find myself swearing at it because of that since I'm having to find the correct order everything goes and the commands. Do you guys get this way with it or am I perhaps going about learning the code in a wrong way? Tongue I keep finding myself going back to programming because I have nothing better to do while I sort out my artwork and I don't think I can be bothered waiting for the Games Industry to churn out something awesome for me to play any time soon.

Edit: And oh shit! That's exactly what I'm talking about, I'm even seeing typos in my written stuff now on the code LOL Tongue

Mandatory education has to be the biggest joke in human history I have ever seen, it is impossible to teach people who do not want to learn, the only thing they do learn is a quite healthy hatred for the system they were placed in against their will.
