Dev team has got huge plans for this project. BAS will be used amongst other things as a currency to pay locals in ASEAN region, inflation from fiat currency will be a thing of the past, as there will ever only be a finite number of BAS in existence. What does this mean for YOU, say you would want to go on holiday in PHI PHI Thailand, lay yourself down on one of those pristine awesome beaches and pay for it all with BAS. Where would you prefer to go on holiday - Thailand or Malaysia, maybe take a short trip by Singapore as well ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I believe this project is going to be huge, get in now while its still VERY CHEAP!! Sounds good but i steel do not understand one thing - what different between other currency and ASEAN currenсy ? Why we will use BAS but not BTC/LTC for example ? I think I can answer this. I'm not from the ASEAN region but I have visited there frequently. Mostly Thaland and Myanmar. 1. Privacy and fungibility. Some governments in the ASEAN region are not friendly to cryptocurrency and also in some parts of countries it is common for people to be shaken down. With BTC or LTC everyone can see how much money you have in your wallet and there are sophisticated software which can associate a BTC (or LTC) address with an individual. Having something with a privacy focus will appeal to people in the ASEAN region more than something more open like Bitcoin. 2. Marketing. There are no issues with poor translations etc since BitASEAN is created by developers from the ASEAN region. Here is an example from the BitASEAN twitter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKr0hKvV1Qw3. BitASEAN was created in the ASEAN region (in Thailand). Just as China loves Litecoin in part because its creator Charlie Lee is Chinese-American and Russia likes Ethereum because Vitalik Buterin is Russian-Canadian, and Japan loves Monacoin because it was created by someone Japanese it could be that BitASEAN is seen in a similar light since it was created in ASEAN, by people from ASEAN for use by other people from ASEAN and the world in general which feeds back into #2 again. I have a similar view of the matter. I have also been on holiday in the region and would love to use BAS in Thailand. Malaysia, Vietnam and others, would be so much easier to use cryptocurrency in all of Asean region. My view is that they (countries) would rally around a cryptocurrency they can regard as homegrown/their own. Just imagine the demand for BAS locally if it would take over for Bath, Ringit and other regional fiat currencies, would also be huge demand from both the US, Europe and China from holiday travellers if widely used and accepted.

BTC has got problems with congestion and stuck traffic - guess it's frankly getting old tech. CryptoNight - for maximum scalability, achieved by addressing the problem of blockchain bloat. BTC is simply too expensive (per unit). BAS is much more usable for the target region as it has a max cap of 100m coins vs BTC 21m. Say you want to pay for a drink at a bar. Much simpler to pay 1 BAS than a fraction of a bitcoin, also much simpler for locals to understand and use in their daily lives.

Yes, better exchange is what we need right now, think that Cryptopia must be our goal, the paradise of cryptonight coins ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Cryptopia is awsome, that would be great.

I agree with you. And here's what I propose: let dev or someone who can do create forum signature. I think a lot of users would add it for free (me exactly ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) You are right, there must be more wide promotion steps from BAS team like a signature and avatar campaign and other usual steps, only words it's not enough ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Sure. I agree. A signature and avatar campaign would do nicely. Somebody send a pm to the Devteam and suggest they set one up.

Don't post addresses in this thread, send a pm to the dev in stead.

This has to do with your wallet receiving a lot of smaller transactions, typically when a pool pays out a ton of times to Ur wallet. Just send several times if you need to. If you send say 3000 BAS. Send a 1000 BAS 3 times ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) And if you need to send, for example, 200k you need to make 200 TXs by 1000 coins? Are you kidding me? It's not a solution, it's needed to fix this bug. It's hardly a huge problem, most people don't hold that much BAS. The majority probably holds way below 10k. I mean who for instance sends 200k BTC or ETH at one go. It will be fixed soon enough.

Good news everyone!!
More and more people are mining in the main pool. Hashrate is at an all time high. Interest in BAS is on the rise.
