Man this is harder than i thought lol.

root@Server:~/bitcoindark# ./BitcoinDark-qt &
[1] 13045
root@Server:~/bitcoindark# QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display

I will take you up on your offer in irc Paul Tongue

#dumbass123

Are you on a server with gui support?

If you are on a command line only, use BitcoinDarkd

Only on command line but i cannot see that file, I think i may just install a GUI on this server but security wise not very good

For those wanting to build the QT wallet on linux, please make sure to read down to the part about build configuration options....
https://github.com/laowais/bitcoindark/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst

If you don't have miniupnp installed then you will have to build without UPNP support or it wont compile..
qmake USE_UPNP=-

Alternatively you can install miniupnp before building.  On Ubuntu this can be done by installing the libminiupnpc-dev package...
sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev

Thank you Paul.

I have BitcoinDark-qt now but how do i run it?  Grin

Once AE is there, more marketing and more features we will defitnely see this coin go to the 200/300 Satoshi Smiley And when it gains more popularity and is also on other exchanges like Bitrex and Mintpal, then it could even go to 1000 Satoshi. Qora is just not like all those other coins, but a sustainable, long term coin, you keep your bag holding, you win Smiley

Couldn't agree more

Just to add that if you kept buying at low prices and you will win alot  Smiley

I hope all the supporters have been doing that as i can see 25-30sats as the min floor after AE release.

Apologies if this has been answered already, but I haven't really parsed the entire thread yet:
How exactly will dividends/revenues be paid to UNITY holders?

Cheers,
~ Myagui
Good question ... I would like to know as well since I have several hundred tokens and plan to hold UNITY long term. How will dividends/revenues be paid to UNITY holders?

If you have SuperNET asset in your NXT account, it will automatically arrive. If you have it on deposit at an exchange, then the exchange will receive the automatic dividend and they will need to support allocating it among the depositors. bter will be implementing this dividend redistribution. If you have SuperNET deposited to another exchange make sure they are supporting this redistribution

James

Would we be made aware of when a dividend would be calculated? Would suck to move all my unity from bter to nxt and find out i just missed out on the dividend  Grin

I will respond later to the posts above but I hope James rejects that offer. I will elaborate as soon as I get the kids off to bed.

You have hopes which are against investors interest.
Why are acting like this? I don't get this at all.

You elaborate? Like this? "Right now, Chris has leveraged off the supernet brand to promote his websites. Now I cannot see anything substantial apart from sites anyone could make given enough talent and a few hundred dollars."

Please, at least raise conclusive concerns, based on facts and written clearly for everybody to understand.

Thank you,
Chris

Hello Chris,

Sorry i do apologise for not elaborating earlier.

My understanding of the agreement between supernet and evolve was purely for profit sharing. Since this agreement was done you have been able to sell 1.4million assets at 0.6 NXT each meaning you received about 60BTC. This is a huge figure since your sites were not able to pull in even 10 BTC in a failed IPO previously.

The only reason why it brought such a big figure was due to people inferring incorrectly that the asset sale was endorsed by James.

Here is the current status of your sites.

http://cryptohire.com/ (You have 1 ad from 3 days ago)

http://coingigs.com/ (You have 2 ads)

http://http://coinexplorer.net/ (You have test items)

http://http://coinevolve.com/ (Under construction)

I dont think any of them are generating any revenue let alone any profits to be shared. Now i know that it will take time and that is fine but today you turn around and present a new project outside of this profit sharing agreement. This was done so you can raise more money as confirmed by yourself.

Now since James has not endorsed the new site, you are probably unable to sell the asset and you are going back to the revenue share to try to get him to agree. 100% revenue of a site generating 0 BTC is still 100% right? But then again you would have the NXT from the asset sale so it would be ok. This is why i think James should not accept the new partnership regardless of the percentage.

My questions to you would be the following:

How do you plan to generate a revenue stream? We are past the age of build a nice looking website and they will come.
How do you plan to use the 60BTC you have made by selling 35% of your revenue to actually generate revenue?
How can you use your time to produce 2 different assets when not even the first one that has been sold out is actually generating any revenue?

Does anyone know how to install the wallet on ubuntu via command line?

Anyone got any ideas?

Right now, Chris has leveraged off the supernet brand to promote his websites. Now I cannot see anything substantial apart from sites anyone could make given enough talent and a few hundred dollars.

Instead of building the user base for the current asset, he creates a new one to get more money.

How would supernet get a return for the money it has helped generate for Chris (which he could not raise in a failed ipo before) and how would the people that purchased assets at inflated prices make their money back.

I'm saying this not out of hate or anything like that, but if this venture by Chris turns sour it would help to tarnish the supernet brand which is what I care about.

renat0 I don't understand what you are referring to there about the 10 billion limit...

This is an asset exchange, where you exchange assets. How does doge having 60 billion have anything to do with it and why should Qora "fix" the AE to accommodate such a big number?

I know one of the other guys was having issues with Java 8 maybe got to do something with that?

Hm, I thought Qora had a requirement of Java 8 to run? Hold on, I'll try Java 7 then.

I think that was another coins requirement. I have been running on Java 7 for a while now. Havent been game enough to upgrade.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 15, 2014, 11:03:57 AM
Maybe get the seed and start from scratch?

Yeah, I tried that too, see my post Smiley It's alright, must be something specific to my environment.

I know one of the other guys was having issues with Java 8 maybe got to do something with that?

v15 doesn't work, getting this error message:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: f.e

I tried both deleting only 'data' directory and starting from scratch with no wallet. It prints that error and quits. Java 8 on Ubuntu 14.04 x64. Anyone else has the same issue? v14 worked alright, except sometimes not being able to connect to peers.

Maybe get the seed and start from scratch?

The people that are shouting about going open source the loudest are probably the lowest holders of Qora.

A vote using your balance is the fairest way to decide.

After numerous votes it has been decided not to do it.

For now just wait till Qora gets back to us about what he means.
yeah,we need another vote

if you can help us creat a close source vote again..

I hope qora can OS when the time is 2100 year..

So no one can expose this perfect scam。。what do you think?

thx.

You will be on my ignore list after this post.

State facts not useless garbage. Voting by the number of Qora you hold is the most sensible and most politically correct way of deciding the direction of the coin.

Though Qora has a big say on how i would vote and im sure others too.

You should know Pondsea as a large holder of Qora and due to the small numbers of voters and someone who refrained from voting last time I can almost guarantee a yes vote will come from a new vote. I've changed my mind and believe we were too over protective early on.

Like Qora has said we need to go in a new direction and I expect that will include open source relatively soon.

Well that is the thing, we need a firm date and alot of notice to get the best results.

Right now we should wait for Qora then see where to go from there.
