841  Economy / Auctions / Re: RAFFLE for 1 troy oz .999 pure silver round [.2btc/entry] on: April 28, 2012, 11:42:55 PM
The reason why I'm selling entries 100 entries at .2 btc/entry is 1.) to recoup the out of pocket expense for the silver round that is being raffled (this coin is from my personal collection)  2.) to secure funding for another ounce of silver for a second raffle 3.) the remaining money will cover gas expenses for me getting the coin (70+/- mile round trip) and to cover shipping expenses with insurance

Why are you driving 70 miles to get a coin? O.o
Drive to the middle of nowhere, make a left, and drive 10 miles farther. That's where i live lol. The nearest coin shop is 35 miles away unfortunately plus the owner's son is a giant douche.
842  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: April 28, 2012, 05:22:40 PM
While I don't think you're a "scammer" (the coins were received in exchange for a service), I do believe it's a matter of moral and ethics. The idea that has been brought up of repayment with a "grief fee" is the proper route to go. This way it clears your name, removes the scammer tag, and gets the 2nd party to stop attacking you. I also believe the 2nd party should do all that is possible to verify he is the owner of the sending address to avoid a potential scam, this matter can be resolved in a matter of minutes. Good luck to both parties.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: Sniff ... do you smell smoke? on: April 28, 2012, 01:45:26 AM
I wish gas where I live was under $4/gal. I live in a small town that has 1 gas station and price gouging here is ridiculous. The owner of the gas station has another one in a town with 3 gas stations and the prices are 5 cents cheaper per gallon.

In summary, gas station in my town with no competitor= $4.079/gal
gas station next town over (6 miles away) with competitors=$4.029/gal
Same gas, same delivery truck.

I'm glad it working for you. As for why cgminer didn't work.... i have no idea. I'm sure there's members here with more knowledge of these programs than myself.
Have you tried using Trixx to tweak your card settings, I know there's not a lot of room for improvement but you can probably overclock the core and underclock the memory to increase hash rate while reducing heat.

How much?
Also, since you're relatively new would you accept escrow?

Best of luck with selling your card, just figured I would get the expected questions out of the way.

I've never looked at a log for cgminer but did you make sure to enter a worker name and password?

Also, if you're having problems maybe try bitminter.com for it's ease of use
854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie joke competition - WIN BTC !!! on: April 27, 2012, 07:04:33 PM
I know I'm not a newbie but I felt compelled to share this joke

I was at the pub on Saturday night. Had a few....
I noticed two large women by the bar.
They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are
you two ladies from Scotland?"
One of them yelled: "It's WALES you friggin' idiot!"
So, I immediately apologized and said..., "Sorry, are
you two whales from Scotland ?"

I've just installed both of these toolbars you suggested!

Tried the bitcoin one but it's a pain in the @$$, since you have to click every 30 seconds I'm not going to do that one.

I will let you guys know when I receive my first pay-out, but I just started so this thread might be dead before that happens!
cool thanks! if you want to maximize your earnings for $20dollars2surf don't forget to log into your account and click the ads and play the free games everyday, it will make a big difference
