841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 25, 2023, 07:59:18 AM
I think it's not about abuse, but not knowing what it could do to you in the long term is the problem. Imagine, it's you who is being abused, not gambling. Gambling must be controlled, and your urge to gamble should be managed. It's weird to use "abuse" with "gambling" because it's not being used as something to be abused.
842  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Got scamed by Stake on: July 24, 2023, 05:05:59 PM
It seems like you don't know how to gamble with over/under type of bets, and that handicap has made you have a losing bet.

101-22.5 = 78.5, which is less than 83. Hence you lose.

Be careful with betting, you think that you have won just because you chose a team but with the slip that you have, it's different.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 22, 2023, 11:17:52 AM
I think that's just the rational way, but there's nothing like the "only one" in a market so big. In some way or the other, opportunistic humans would definitely make their own and start something that could change the world for the better or for the worse. This is also the reason why I think BTC won't' be topped because of the people/person behind it, Satoshi, built it anonymously and made it into a game changer and none is going to take that away. And creators who have their names all over the project could have some different look on the purpose of it or something. That's just my take.

The price of BTC is dictated by the market. Starting low is a good start because it's just starting and not a lot of people are into buying it yet. But when it did, it's just boom and I think it would never change.
844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: July 22, 2023, 10:14:07 AM
Yes, we also have that in gambling. When you play dice games there's a free play or free spins you can try it before you actually put a big amount on your account. We should learn basics of it, do not play when you are not ready or just want to follow someone. In trading you can do dca, but in gambling there's no dca you cannot adjust it and then have a profit, both thing needed to have to take a risk.
In EV- games, Gambling does not need a long learning process. Trading needs you to learn a lot before actually being able to trade. Hence people having that quick-rich mindset, will always go with gambling with EV- games more commonly than trading and say that both are somewhat similar which we know that is not always true.

There are EV+ gambling games like poker and sports betting but they need a learning phase and experience which of course newbies will not go for.
Definitely more time will be given towards trading comparing to gambling because you can gamble easily even if you haven't gambled ever before. I think that's the mindset that some people has that "easy money" thing that some people think that is easy to get. It comes with luck and skill depending on the game you are actually playing.

I think in any type of thing, there's always a need to study how it will be continued or pursued. You need to be better in that way.
845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: July 20, 2023, 02:45:44 PM
First, you would need money to buy it or at least find a way to make money to buy it. Usually, it's about making money with the reason you get into Bitcoin. I think those are the most common reasons why we get into Bitcoin. That's the reason why I discovered it in the first place. It's different for everyone, though. I do hope real beginners get to see this as well because they are the ones who will get motivated with this.
846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Decentralization Geeks also Trade using AI? on: July 19, 2023, 08:55:28 AM
Note* i am not talking about bots that automatically make your trade and end your trade. and all you have to do in those bots is set stop limits for profits and loss. I am talking about bots which suggests you to make trades at specific prices and also make those trades on your behalf.
With this, you are saying that the bot runs everything and just let them use your funds and capital for trading entirely? I wouldn't bet too much on it. Like not too much money because I want to be accountable for my decisions. I'm willing to at least try if that happens but right now, it's just minimal.

Is there a service that offers that already? I know that Ai helps with making strategies but not decisions. Mostly it has disclaimers for that though.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 18, 2023, 03:54:54 PM
Seeing someone winning that kind of amount makes me happy, as long as they can utilize it entirely and be smart about how they will be handling it. A lot of people are having a hard time because of mishandling. Those who have won and lost after a few months don't have any plans with it, and I think that's pretty common. It's just a waste of energy to be jealous of it or something. You cannot do something about it.

I have read somewhere that if you buy lottery tickets and the government controls them, it is somehow a subtle way of "giving" hope to the poor and collecting money from them without noticing it. It's something that I read the other day.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling everywhere on: July 18, 2023, 03:49:22 PM
Most people I know use their side money, like some extra after bills, and used in gambling. But the people I don't like are those who are asking for money from other people and are trying to make more money by loaning it from other people. The one I don't like about is using their children to lie and make it an excuse. It's a problem if you see someone that addicted and making their children as their reason to ask for money. People like that probably won't save money and will gamble it all away.

The things that are going through their mind are probably making more money by using money in gambling. That's entirely it. That's their motivation, probably.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 18, 2023, 03:25:43 PM
This week we will have the GP in Hungary.
The track is very boring after Monaco is the one where is almost impossible to overtake.

Exactly, it's very difficult to overtake in Hungary, also the Ring is not exactly a fast track, should be an advantage again especially for RedBull. Last year Mercedes was very close to RedBull at the Hungaroring, but I think the layout of the circuit could also benefit Alonso and Ferrari?
I think you misunderstood coinlocket$. He said Monaco is the impossible overtake. You should know that it is Monaco where it's hard to overtake especially these few years ago when the car is larger than ever. Monaco is definitely the circuit that is hard to overtake in. For GP in Hungary, there are portions of the track that could be utilized to overtake, so that would be an advantage.

Let's see what happens in the practice and qualifiers.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To transfer from PayPal to Crypto Without KYC on: July 18, 2023, 02:45:32 PM
I don't think you can. No matter what happens, if you use PayPal, there's already a KYC part, IIRC. So maybe he needs to find P2P that could convert his money into crypto, specifically BTC, then transfer it to you. Knowing that he is from the USA, that will even be more strict AFAIK.
851  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in is no longer a KYC free casino! (New terms) on: July 18, 2023, 06:50:10 AM
It must have been something related to regulatory frameworks, and they have probably been approached by gambling authorities or any other authorities in its operating location.

Maybe it's also their choice to have the restrictions because of possible problems they encounter.
  • Fraudulent Activities
  • Compliances to governing entities
  • Reputation
  • Responsible gambling
  • Expansion of catered members

There could be a lot of reasons for them to proceed on that, but maybe it's for the best? Idk. Is anybody against it?
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 17, 2023, 03:36:02 PM
You can't, that's the thing. Being a meme coin is what it is, a meme, but if there is a lot of support for what you could have, you could maybe do something about it by supporting it publicly and letting other people know about it. You can never predict it if it's in a good or bad position, only as it happens. You can read the charts but it would be really unpredictable.
853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 16, 2023, 04:21:59 PM
Repeating the same mistakes is not very good, it is a sign that the lesson is learned poorly. The value of mistakes is to understand the reason why it happened and not repeat them again. If this cannot be ruled out, then it may be worth considering whether it is appropriate to engage in high-risk activities. And with other people's mistakes, everything is even more complicated, and besides, not all traders share their mistakes, so it is unlikely that you will be able to take into account all the nuances without your own experience.
Many traders do not even realize they made a mistake and the few that do refuse to acknowledge them, and with that kind of mentality then it is obvious they will not learn from their mistakes and they will keep repeating them, which is a shame as even if it is preferable to never make a mistake while we trade, this is not a realistic option, so the best we can do is to learn from our mistakes and avoid them in the future, but unfortunately something as simple as this is beyond the capabilities of many traders.
Therefore the role of a mentor or teacher is very important here, they will act as someone who will direct and educate every step that will be taken by traders, especially novice traders. I strongly feel the position that any trader who chooses to go it alone with limited knowledge is very prone to making some mistakes. They know they have suffered a loss but most of them do not realize what wrong they have done. They think it's normal and indeed all traders will experience it, but isn't it better if we do research on the various losses that we experience, the goal is clear so that we can better understand the various risks involved. trading and accompanied by a mentor at least we will know things that we should not do. Actually it is very difficult to go through this process if we are not accompanied by a professional because it is very possible for various mistakes to occur when we do it ourselves with limited knowledge.
That's the thing with having a mentor, you would be guided as you are going through with trading. Novice traders definitely need those and having been able to be guided is important. But it is more important to know that you need to do something about it and continue to be consistent in what you are doing.
854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns on: July 15, 2023, 08:31:09 AM
Basically, it's advertising on the biggest cryptocurrency forum in the world many people are checking this out because this is a fountain of knowledge of everything related to crypto. It is definitely to promote and let other people see why it is what it is. It's also status, depending on how you see it, because if you invest in marketing, the business is also serious.
855  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to create a bitcoin wallet that can recover keys? on: July 15, 2023, 07:17:36 AM
There are a lot of people who have lost their Bitcoin wallets because they didn't follow the proper steps to secure their wallets. It's as simple as writing it on paper and storing it somewhere you or those you trust can only access it. There shouldn't be a problem if people followed the proper steps like it's their fault for not backing it up. Most wallets, IIRC, have the appropriate instructions when generating private keys.

There's no use in having a key recovery feature someday if it's susceptible to possible hacking etc. It should be just you or a way to remember those important keys.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP has been ruled a security on: July 14, 2023, 06:15:04 PM
They both win right? Like they are correct somehow that it's not with securities unless they are sold to a specific set of people/market like the institutional companies versus the individuals. As long as it's going to be good for everyone, I think it's going to be okay. With the rise in recent price of XRP, it's definitely safe to say that news has definitely reached those people who are hesitating to buy it in the first place because of this. Now that it has ended, a lot of people probably bought XRP instead of dumping it.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 01:35:02 PM
Having someone to bet for you on a different account would not be ideal because you won't have any control over it. The person can be greedy and would have a problem with you if something happens with the decisions to play on a certain game or which team to bet it on. It's going to be hard to trust someone if it concerns money (this is dependent of course on the status of the person). Sometimes, if the money is really life-changing, it's going to be a different talk.

I think you would get into a fight with a fellow gambler if he didn't make ends meet or didn't contribute to anything.
858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I understand Bitcoin charts? on: July 14, 2023, 11:28:40 AM
Theree are definitely a lot of experienced traders here in the forum and you just need to do the work and possibly pointed to the right direction. Imagine being able to know what to do at a certain market function. You should know that you would be able to potentially profit from that and that's just going to take some time and of course, some luck and you would be able to do it.

There are a lot of books that you can check and also some threads here that you would learn from. Just explore the Trading Discussion, for sure there are threads that would be helpful to you.

Some link that I have in my watchlist that I think are helpful for your concern.

859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 12, 2023, 03:13:25 PM
Those people who are saying that it's absolutely a scam are those who have experience with negative aspects and have been victimized with those people who make it their goal to let other people suffer with their hard earned money.

It's definitely life changing if you are early on it but the opportunity to earn from  it doesn't stop there. There's a bunch of markets that crypto has opened up so it's best to maximize it if you know how to.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 12, 2023, 03:06:02 PM
I think it's safe say that when you are creating or inventing something and a lot of people are trying it out and exploring it with their own, they would find ways to use it in a couple of different ways even if it's not meant to be for that or something.

A lot of people probably went out and bought Bitcoin for the sake of earning more so that's definitely going to be their goal. It's about money. So that's why I think they are considering it as an investment.
