@Baskin198: you've posted several times now that trusted users get paid by Stake to disagree with you. I wish that was true, but I disagree with you for free. My loyalties are not for sale.

Is there any additional thing that can be done to prevent that or at least make it harder for them to access? I can think of a few things ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) You could for instance use the washers to hang 400 kg of concrete from your ceiling. After all, you're dealing with construction material. That'll make it hard to steal.

i found a bug on your notification bot. It couldn't obtain the reply title I don't know why exactly this happened, it might just have been a connection problem when my scraper tried to fetch the title. I've manually fixed this one. (posts consolidated to reduce post count to fit 2 pages)
I think i found another bug. It looks like your script/tool couldn't parse the title and showing "BBcode Parsing" instead. I don't think it's a bug, and I don't think I use the phrase "BBcode Parsing" anywhere in my scripts. For unknown reason, icopress "recycled" an old topic and changed the title. Ninjastic.space shows a (now removed) post with title " Re: parsing", so I'm pretty sure the initial title was really "BBcode Parsing".

Don't change the rules during the game. One way or another some people are going to be unhappy about the result. That's unfortunate, but inevitable for this round. If you change the rules now it makes you look bad. There's a flaw in this proposed rule: For each merit that a candidate awards in the thread, he will have one vote removed from his total count. So if you get 20 votes for a certain category, but your rewarded people with 10 merits altogether, 10 of your votes would be disqualified. Ultimately, your final count is 10 votes. I've sent 48 Merit in that topic, but none of them for a voting post. I'm just a Merit source doing Merit source things. I took myself as an example, but the same goes for many more people. Look at the Merit OP alone received: Merited by Royse777 (50), Welsh (40), LoyceV (40), El duderino_ (34), dkbit98 (30), fillippone (27), klarki (22), GazetaBitcoin (20), ChipMixer (20), Ratimov (12), Mitchell (10), Cyrus (10), NeuroticFish (10), hosseinimr93 (10), 1miau (10), The Pharmacist (6), cryptodevil (6), BlackHatCoiner (6), vapourminer (5), pooya87 (5), Hhampuz (5), FatFork (5), RickDeckard (5), Pmalek (4), o_e_l_e_o (4), DdmrDdmr (4), famososMuertos (4), LFC_Bitcoin (3), mhanbostanci (3), sportsbet.io (3), Rikafip (3), cygan (2), slaman29 (2), Halab (2), $crypto$ (2), bitmover (2), aysg76 (2), Mahdirakib (2), philipma1957 (1), xhomerx10 (1), YuginKadoya (1), SFR10 (1), ETFbitcoin (1), sabotag3x (1), ShowOff (1), skarais (1), Xxmodded (1), Coin-1 (1), sheenshane (1), jakelyson (1), TheBeardedBaby (1), Hypnosis00 (1), acroman08 (1), tvplus006 (1), Bthd (1), onecall123 (1), m2017 (1), Unsoldier (1), joker_josue (1), CryptoYar (1), Rizzrack (1), PawGo (1), Clairvoyance (1), Despairo (1), villain_Mr.Burns (1) None of those should count against any votes. Why did you recycle an old topic for this?
Allow me to highlight yahoo62278's post: It's really disheartening that people always try to ruin something that was meant to be fun.

But it is not a reason to discriminate against normal russian users. Ratimov - is a politically neutral person. Where did this discrimination against Ratimov or his Russian origin happen exactly? Did I miss something or are you just deliberately trying to cause controversy here? I don't see it in this thread. Did it happen in the local section? It happened here. Ironic, isn't it?

Hey everyone, my friend's account has been proxy banned upon creation. His username is joro-metaversa and if his IP was used for abuse in the past, he had nothing to do with it. Thanks in advance for looking into it. Sorry, you're not an established member, so you don't qualify to vouch for someone: 2. Get someone to vouch for you If an established member knows you personally, they can post your username in this topic for whitelisting. I won't accept vouches from for instance a bounty hunter with 1000 Activity and 0 earned Merit. Your username isn't helping either: you wouldn't join a Lamborghini forum with username LamborghiniSucks, right?

Now, does anyone have any idea how to dispose of these washers? I missed this question yesterday, but I'll respond anyway because it's fun ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I'd say you can give the washers the same treatment as a hard drive: clamp it in a vice, get an angle grinder, and destroy the letters. I could toss a washer: down the toilet at home Don't do that, it'll just get stuck in the pipes very close to your toilet. it would drive me nuts knowing that the washers are not in my household anymore but sitting outside where anyone could pick them up with my seed still stamped onto them. It becomes interesting when thousands of people are disposing of their washers. Even if you'd find them all, you still wouldn't be able to use them. Still, this is wholly unnecessary. Just stamp over them, make them unreadable, and throw them in your trash. Even better if you use different trash bins: one per week at home, one in the office. Hide it in something dirty like coffee grounds or diapers.

Even trusted members like LoyceV are afraid to speak against them and believed their stories, by giving merit to their assumptions. For the record: my Merit means I think the post is worth reading. If you make an accusation against a highly trusted user, I think their reply deserves Merit. That doesn't necessarily mean I agree. Isn't this abuse of power that you scam people and if they report it, you leave them -ve feedback. If a scammer would do that, it would be abuse of power and they should be removed from DT. However, in this case, I haven't seen evidence of Stunna scamming. I did however see OP admit to identity fraud. So Stunna tagged Baskin198 because they believe the user engaged in match fixing. On the other hand Baskin198 saying he is not involved with any fixing. All we have is you and me words and since Stunna has a weapon to silent anyone creates scam accusation against them, they used it. Negative feedback isn't meant to silence users. What if today I would have been in the same situation like Baskin198 and I would say that I did not fix match. How would I prove it that I really did not fix the match. You can't prove that, and that's a problem. I'd say this should be a reason not to engage in sports betting at all. if they would have solid proof To me, this seems like a case that can't be resolved here on Bitcointalk. We can't know for sure what happened, which makes it a case for a judge. As far as I know Stake is licensed, so you can get a lawyer to get to the bottom of this.

Still, better to not lose hope since they have said they were working with the doge network team. I don't think those transactions can be reversed. Reversing transactions after several months would mean the end of Doge. Or more likely: a fork, after which it continues the way it should and Binance's own Doge fork becomes worthless.

First: I've never used boltz.exchange, partially because I can't easily confirm the non-custodial part by myself. Quick maths would suggest it's 0.5%, right? That's not bad.. Centralized exchanges charge between 0.1% (but require withdrawal fee) and 1% (but no fees - if I remember correctly) and are obviously completely non-private. The cheapest exchange I know to convert on-chain Bitcoin to Bitcoin LN is CoinPlaza.it. They charge 0.1% for this transaction, without further fees. But they charge much more from LN to on-chain.They require an account though, although without KYC for small amounts (<€500/month). FixedFloat.com would do the same without account, although I'm not sure if they'll demand KYC for higher transactions. Depending on your needs it can pay off to check rates at different instant exchangers. 1) Send each UTXO in full (full value) to your Lightning wallet If you're going to do this, it might be worth doing it before you need to consolidate your small UTXOs. So whenever you send a transaction that will create a small change amount, send it elsewhere to instantly swap it to LN. A concern of mine is that boltz.exchange would know about your transactions. That would be another reason to use different exchangers, so none of them has all your data. This might also prevent one exchange from consolidating all your small inputs at once into their own wallet. Depending on how many transactions they process and how many transactions you sent within a small time frame, that might still link your transactions (a bit).

Barely 3 days later, I received an email: There is a backend software glitch which can cause all data on /home to be removed. I still have "outputs" and "transactions" on the other server, but this means I'll have to upload 469 GB from my local backup again. It also means they've moved me to another server, which means the above links are no longer valid. I'm not amused.

Telephone number printed on both sides of the washer, perhaps it would be better to add the country code!
If I wouldn't have read this is a phone number, I may have never guessed it. Adding a +country might help (but there's probably no "+" in the stamp set), or otherwise at least add the full word: "PHONE" or "PHONE NUMBER" (at the back). If the phone number is intended to help out someone who doesn't know crypto, it might also be beneficial to add some washers with the name of the coins you (intend to) store using this seed phrase. That is of course annoying if you want to add another coin later, but it might save someone from having to search through hundreds of altcoins that could possibly be stored with that seed. At this point, the block is ready to be sealed with hot glue on both ends In my experience, hot glue sticks much better if you heat up the metal before applying the glue.

Idea is not bad in principle but I think it needs some testing from people who owns 3d printers (read n0nce) to see how it works in real life. Since I did it before, I can confirm it's quite trivial to manually pause a print and change filament mid-way through. There's a 'filament swap' feature in most modern printers that does it all automatically; you only need to insert the new colour. Wait, and here I thought 3D-printers would be able to print in color.... Google tells me it exists, but at a whole different price level (a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars).

As I say it's just a curiosity, but how did you get to that comment? Diving through all the posts? This topic got me curious how many old posts I Merit. I looked it up, and these are the 10 oldest posts I've Merited this year (in 2022): To answer your question: I usually just stumble upon those posts by following links. If the (new) forum ever implements a system that ranks posts based on Merit, good old posts should have Merit too. The merit in question was given to you by Welsh, a moderator. I have also received merit from him for old posts of mine. So did I. Let's see the 10 oldest posts Merited by Welsh this year:

There's a big OOPS: thanks to DroomieChikito's post, I realized I forgot to (manually) update the list of DT1-users last week. This means that week 164 will forever have outdated DT1-tags. Sorry for this, it's too much work to fix that retroactively. I'll correct week 165, which means the quoted link above will stop working when my update is done. So major services like Binance are absolutely safe unless you expect them to go mad for no reason and freeze your funds (which is still a possible risk). Allow me to correct you. Binance is NOT safe. Say you send someone 300,000 Doge ($600) from your Binance account. Then, 19 months later, Binance sends the same transaction again, except for now it's worth $80,000. Next, Binance freezes your account and demands you pay them $80,000. This is the kind of BS centralized and largely unregulated services can do for basically any reason they come up with.
