Nooo :S I don't really read many books now, I just.... Study and Research? O_O.... I'm currently studying Geology! Cheesy

As long as it's accurate, I like my information to be organised like this.

http://flexiblelearning.auckland.ac.nz/rocks_minerals/minerals/common.html

I find it a lot more interesting to read through than books for some reason, books tend to just throw tons of writing at you and hope you read it.

Pfft Tongue I just believe if we 'must' have government then it should be extremely minimal, otherwise fuck them Tongue

But are you sure we "must" have government?

Not really Cheesy lol Tongue
8564  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Connecticut Assault Weapons Legislation on: January 03, 2013, 02:57:57 AM
It's sad but from personal experience I'm not at all surprised these shootings happen, schools are a shitty place to be in when you're a child, well for most people anyway.

8569  Other / Off-topic / Family visits over the new year on: January 02, 2013, 10:41:16 AM
So who's had to deal with the horror of people visiting over the new years and Christmas? With the unusual alliance me and my dad seem to have over the issue we've managed to whittle down the numbers that visit but we had two extremely bored children come over and they woke me up twice while I was trying to sleep because of course they're bored and they have nothing more entertaining to do than make noise. Why? Why do parents insist on dragging their kids to places they clearly don't want to go? It's like those parents who bring their kids to the damn supermarkets and wonder why their children act up, I hated going to the bloody supermarket, for me as a child it was the most boring place in the world.

*twitches angrily and puts a blade in his new saw for Jewellery*

Edit: dsiDAS KDKAKD KSAKDKAKdska ps agriprep kpfe!

Edit 2: Yey! They finally left! My headache is gone!

Fail Greyhawk, fail Tongue
8571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the moral legitimacy of bitcoin? on: January 02, 2013, 09:54:34 AM
In my mind the morality behind Bitcoin is simple.

For centuries mankind has been threatened by governments of all stripe whether they're communist, capitalist or monarchies to pay taxes, every one of them has used violence against the people to assert their power, now with Bitcoin they will have no choice but to work with us instead or they won't get any money at all. I guess it's kind of like when you finally get to move out of your parents house, in the end no matter what threats etc. they might use against you afterwards it means absolutely nothing because you've finally gained independence.
8572  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Regulating frameworks for sugar on: January 02, 2013, 09:31:08 AM
I don't smoke or eat stupid amounts of sugar every day and I actually live pretty healthily most of the time, if I ever have kids why the hell should they have to go through all this bullshit brainwashing just because other kids are being way more stupid? I expect there are plenty of parents out there who all have pretty healthy kids that would feel exactly the same about the government pestering their children in school to eat healthily.

It'd be really nice if governments stopped trying to mass produce children to fit into society.

Can't US.gov just declare bankruptcy already, shut down and liquidate to pay back everyone already?

You dont understand the monetary system.  It is not possible to pay everyone back.  ALL of our money, 100% of it, every single dollar in existence, was loaned to us, with interest.  If we paid back every dollar ever loaned to us, how would we pay back the interest?

Nah bro, YOU don't understand the monetary system. There is no interest owed on the treasuries that are held by the Federal Reserve.  You are repeating disinformation of Edward G Griffin who spins his silly little misinformations, probably because he doesn't think you are smart enough to see what is wrong with The Fed as is.  So he couches it in dumbed down terms and just makes stuff up, like "all the money is loan into existence."  It isn't.  Get your facts straight.

People who actually understand the system, like me, cringe every time some one repeats this falsehood.  Stop making me cringe.  The national debt can totally be paid off.

I stopped taking you seriously at "Nah bro", but I would love to see proof that the fed lends us money at zero interest, because I can list you at least 5 different sources that prove you wrong.

How nice of the federal reserve to loan us money at zero interest.

The Federal Reserve doesn't 'officially' loan people money at zero interest but it gets that money back through taxation and the IRS, didn't you watch that collapse of the American dream video? LOL Tongue

Here's an insanely long documentary about all the history etc. behind the idea of money.

That would mean admitting that they were wrong, which no mainstream politician ever seems to be able to do.

Are you crazy? My tower was smelling like it was beginning to burn at 90c, even if your stuff hasn't melted yet now I wouldn't be surprised if it went over night or shorted out somehow.
8577  Other / Politics & Society / Those fuckers! Fiscal Cliff Rolled Back! on: January 01, 2013, 07:21:32 AM
Those can kicking masters have done it, now it looks like the world is going to be in for one hell of a recession, perhaps a depression.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/dec/31/fiscal-cliff-congress-deadline-live

For once I agree with the daft reporters, these politicians really are masters at kicking the can down the road? How the hell do they do it and get away with it so easily? Pop goes the bubble!
8578  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation that's equally distributed. on: January 01, 2013, 07:19:14 AM
There is no way this can actually exist in reality.  Defining "people of a country" and distributing anything evenly is doomed to failure.

Even if the money and inflation was distributed using pure math with division you can bet all the political groups in the world are going to find some reason to bitch about it.
8579  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: January 01, 2013, 07:04:10 AM
Some kids simply need to get slapped a few times, for example if a kid hits another kid they should be hit aswell.
...because hypocrisy is such a great teaching method.

+1

The only thing that parental and teacher hypocrisy ever taught me was how they were wrong and I should rebel against it even more, thankfully I tended to only experience teacher hypocrisy, I was lucky Cheesy
8580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My response to the community on: December 31, 2012, 06:12:27 PM
So let me get this straight, a guy makes a bet involving thousands of Bitcoins and you wonder why he turned tail and ran when everything went south for him? Didn't you idiots learn anything from the financial crisis? I'm so glad Bitcoin is run by math and not by human beings because otherwise we'd be completely screwed by now as the scammed people would all be out protesting and the scammer would receive a bailout so he could conduct his scam again and trick people into giving money.
