8582  Economy / Goods / Re: Protection is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: December 31, 2012, 02:49:03 AM
Once we get trustworthy people to handle transactions then chances are we'll hear less about scams, escrow services are probably going to replace banks for the most part at least when it comes to physical goods.
8583  Other / Off-topic / Re: I found out Satoshi Nakamoto's identity. on: December 30, 2012, 05:46:08 PM

Thank you, why these people don't learn the difference between written and spoken Japanese is beyond me.
8584  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins Can Inflate Too - Stop worrying about deflation. on: December 30, 2012, 05:40:04 PM
lol justusranvier I wouldn't bother trying to go after and change the mind of people like Hyena's teacher because I met his type lots of times during my school years, all they're interested in is teaching what's on the textbook and making grades higher even if the entire textbook is completely wrong. I'm looking forward to when people like him try to argue against Bitcoin because Bitcoin is made entirely from math and people always, always look stupid when they try to argue against math.
8585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Handing out credit cards with $25 worth of bitcoin? on: December 30, 2012, 03:58:46 PM
Giving out free credit cards with 0% interest is exactly one of the reasons this mess got started, let the free market do its thing, you actually reminded me of when I was little and there were nothing but 0% adverts rolling out from stores and loan companies, it's not intelligence, it's mass stupidity.
8586  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: December 30, 2012, 02:56:35 PM
Don't get me started on the Judge Adam Williams case that happened more recently, I've seen plenty of disturbing stuff on the internet but that was the one video I couldn't watch for longer than five seconds because it was a video of a genuinely helpless disabled child getting beaten up ( Not disciplined as people claim ) by her father and it's situations like this where I can only think that the people who actually support using violence against children are nothing more than psychopaths who thirst for violence and control.

Children need a lot of time from their parents. Yes, parenthood is a big commitment. It's unkind and unproductive not to give children the time and attention that they need.

Going on with this topic, I challenge any current parents who have children to install a lock on their childrens' bedrooms that only the child can lock and give them the only key, take a note of how many times they use it because I bet this will be a fantastic indicator on when to leave them the hell alone too, I bet you some parents will notice that the children would use it constantly especially if they think it's okay to beat them or control their lives constantly.
8588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Want to pay NO income tax? Cut welfare. on: December 30, 2012, 01:43:38 PM
People keep saying that sort of thing but I never actually see any proper evidence for that sort of thing, forgetting of course the fact that one of the main reason the gap between the rich and poor is so high is because of inflation rather than any cuts to welfare, if you had a government system without debt or money printing then a welfare system could actually work but unfortunately I see a lot of evidence that while welfare is intended to help people it often causes a huge number of problems.

On the opposite end of the scale you also have charities and ironically I saw Ron Paul healthcare debate video where there was a news segment before which actually talked about how people like doctors without borders couldn't give people free healthcare all on their own because of state laws. This is another thing I hate about political debate where often an opposite side on a debate uses hypothetical threats and fear mongering to try and make their points rather than facts.

I already knew the Federal Reserve was unconstitutional and I'm British lol.

If it were me I'd just take them to a prison cell for a day and show them what happens if they keep acting like they do as an adult lmao.
8592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My major concern about Bitcoin on: December 30, 2012, 09:54:57 AM
Diversification is always a good idea, that's why people put their money in Gold/Silver/International Stocks as well as other currencies, I do think people in the U.S mainly and nations who feel threatened will try and take down Bitcoin because they think it will be devaluing their own currency but one of the saving graces of the technological age is how little our previous generations understand anything about computers or what we do. It will most likely be a lot like filesharing, they'll take down a couple of big centralised sites here and there ( So think MTgox and BitInstant ) but in the end people will adapt and we'll just simply laugh at their attempts to censor and block everything to do with Bitcoin.

I hope I'm not being to overconfident, but I do think that the fact Bitcoin is an entirely different currency makes us nearly unassailable, we do not use the same funds that they do and what we have is worth more, so eventually as more and more people turn to Bitcoin they will lose the funding they need to take out Bitcoin altogether as it's all being transferred. At the rate things are going, I think we've already won the economic warfare currently going on between superpowers right now.
8593  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin mining will not be profitable in the long term on: December 30, 2012, 09:36:30 AM
Mining should be seen as a method of transferring your wealth not as a method of getting rich.

KIDS ARE A MIRROR IMAGE OF THE QUALITY OF PARENTING THAT THEIR PARENTS PRODUCE. If your kid is doing stupid shit all the time, well perhaps you should look at yourself and see if they are just copying you.

+1 respect to you Smoothie lol Tongue you get it Cheesy I see the way some of these people who are acting up on the forums and I'm not surprised at all they have trouble stopping their kids from wrecking stuff, they seem like the kind of people who would go ballistic in protests etc.
8595  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: December 30, 2012, 09:31:13 AM
I don't have kids but I've talked to children plenty of times before, they're far more intelligent than most adults I've spoken to and are better at conversation too, too bad school is trying everything it can to stamp it out.
8596  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: December 30, 2012, 09:25:56 AM
Solved most problems for me Stochastic it only becomes a problem when they keep harassing you after they've been told Tongue
8597  Other / Off-topic / Re: Parents need to bring back the belt! on: December 30, 2012, 09:19:26 AM
If you can't even teach your child to not hurt other people then you shouldn't even have kids in the first place, fucking idiots, I'd like to see how you lot react to getting hit for 'misbehaving' people like you are why kids now are walking powder kegs waiting to explode, ever tried actually talking to them? Or do you just smack them whenever there's a problem and expect them to get on with their lives? If adults got treated the way children do every day we'd start a civil war over it and that's a fact.
8598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell your friends you like cats, get 0.01 BTC! on: December 30, 2012, 09:06:12 AM
I've swiftly gotten fed up with these schemes, can't help it, why don't you guys just go and make a real product instead of irritating communities? It's a lot more satisfying making something believe me.
8599  Economy / Economics / Re: Meanwhile, in Greece... on: December 29, 2012, 06:29:07 PM
Oh please, the unions are just a symptom of the problem of government over-spending, but yes, Bitcoin is going to prevent all of this if people are clever about where they store it.
8600  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: December 29, 2012, 07:44:34 AM
For me BFL is like time sharing vacation, not a fraud but not a place to put your money as a good investement  Cry

BFL remind me a lot of game pre-ordering actually which is why I stay the hell away from them, they're building up the hype massively to get more business, it may or may not be a scam, but I bet you it won't be it's all its hyped up to be.
