These types of webites are older than internet, just don't trust them or you can lose months of your time for nothing.
862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why good news didn't push price up? Capital flight it is ! on: July 25, 2014, 05:31:56 PM
bitcoin adoption rate is decreasing

says who? and no, you do not count.

How can you say that the adoption rate is descreasing, in the lasts months there were major companies which adopted bitcoin, and more will follow soon.

He stated that bitcoin is falllling to zero, but in my opinion he's triyng to lower the btc value to buy more Smiley
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: July 25, 2014, 05:23:05 PM
I'm HODLING a little but I'm also diversified.

Unfortunately part of the diversification was with.... Coinex, so I got partly screwed.

Should have just HODLED. .

I'm holding bitcoins but I have diversified too buying some altcoins, which I like to trade.
At the moment I have about 90% in bitcoin (HODL), 10% in alts(TRAED).
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First airline to accept Bitcoin for payment - AirBaltic on: July 25, 2014, 01:42:52 PM
I've missed this news, maybe now the adoption will spread among airline companies, would be great to fly everywhere in the world paying with bitcoins!
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin myth you want to see us bust next? on: July 25, 2014, 01:40:09 PM
I'm curious about this, when the last block of bitcoin will be mined, what will happen?

My 2 cents:
The miners will gain only transaction fees so the electric cost will be higher than the revenue,
therefore the number of miners will drop drastically and the chances of 51% attacks will be huge.

Conclusion: when the last block will be mined, bitcoin will die.

myth?

What are your predictions about HUC value?
I have been holding since the start (four days after the start) but after the first spike the price is dropping forever  Undecided

I sold my millions when the value was 7 satoshi, as always I have a nice timing for my trades  Angry
Now I'm sure that if I buy back the price will drop to zero.

869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello i have a question on: July 25, 2014, 01:03:19 PM
Can any one tell me what is escrow ??

Quote
accept escrow for transaction >?
Quote
Escrow is optional

If you are trying to buy some sort of goods or services from people who doesn't accept escrows, just stay away from them.
Escrow fees are really low and therefore escrows should be used in every transaction with someone you don't know personally.
870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways To Earn Bitcoin on: July 25, 2014, 12:57:54 PM
faucets , buy and sell altcoins for BTC , Signature campaigns

This can work, but I've also heard of people losing BTC by doing this. Sad

Trading altcoins is the most risky business you can do, the gains can be huge but there are big chances that you lose all your invested coins.
871  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 6th Bitcoin Bubble should come SOON... on: July 25, 2014, 12:51:26 PM
If that happen, i will buy 0.5 BTC
but, the low price only lasts about few days

i didn't see the bubble coming

Im hopping for a larger period of stability actually. Feels good to be able to sleep at night in tranquility knowing it's still 600 territory. Also I need a bigger period to get more cheap BTC.

This! And a crash to 450 for a few days would be a dream come true Cheesy

last time the BTC price down to $400 (if i'm right)

I don't think the price will reach those low values again, all can happen in bitcoin world but it's very unlikely,
at the contrary I'm expecting a rise from the well known $550/$600 level in few weeks.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you started spending rather than hoarding your bitcoins? on: July 25, 2014, 12:45:08 PM
Seems to me that the next key step for bitcoin is true mass adoption. The day my dad uses it to buy something is the day I know we've made it.

Problem is if everyone is holding rather than spending, I am not sure how we ever get there. I know that there are many people spending, but the main game is still buy and hold expecting profits through price appreciation. My question is is this changing now that the price feels like it is settling down a bit? Does anyone have the stats?

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

At the moment I mostly spending Bitcoin, not holding.
First, because I need money right now and can't wait
and second, in my opinion, nobody really knows what will happen with the price of Bitcoin in next period, if this price will rise or not.

Short term bitcoin price is unpredictable, but long term is much more likely to go upward because the adoption is still at its early stage.
873  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Bitcoin Will Be Worth before end of 2014 on: July 25, 2014, 12:42:19 PM
I believe that Bitcoin will stay at 650$ for as long as it takes for either , a big business to accept Bitcoin or a huge spike in awareness.

Dell isn't a small company but its adoption hasn't changed the buy pressure, on the contrary the value is dropping a little.
There are few business which can give a spark to the bitcoin rocket, but maybe they should be in the top5  in the world to have some positive effect.
874  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it Safe? If Not, What Is? on: July 25, 2014, 12:35:31 PM
One more question, is it more safe to keep a wallet on Linux (Ubunutu) or Windows

If you mean a computer connected to internet, Ubuntu is safer than Windows but if you aren't used to it
and haven't got any experience with different OS', can be difficult to understand how it works.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great news from Dell and Alienware on: July 25, 2014, 12:30:01 PM
Still 40% +- to low on what they actually cost without the hideous cases  Kiss

I would never buy one of their computers because of their cases, but I know they are built for gamers, not for me.
Their particular design is perfect for teens, and the higher price is justified in my opinion.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 reasons why bitcoins are better than dollars! [VIDEO] on: July 25, 2014, 12:23:11 PM
Don't pay attention to the trolls, your videos are definitely helping a lot of people!

and BitCoinDream your criticism is not actually constructive.

Indeed, the video is simple but it can help some newcomers to better understand bitcoins, plus the lady
isn't so bad, with a different haircut could be hot  Smiley
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great news from Dell and Alienware on: July 25, 2014, 12:18:48 PM
This is bad in the short term for Bitcoin. Because Dell uses Coinbase(instead of accepting and keeping Bitcoin directly), coinbase will need to eventually sell the BTC to cover the USD they gave to Dell. This is why the price is dropping. Then people start to panic and sell as well.

I'm holding long term so this is a nice news, it's true that in the short term the selling pressure will rise a little but the adoption will increase at the same time.
878  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you started spending rather than hoarding your bitcoins? on: July 25, 2014, 06:49:16 AM
The value in those years is growing exponentially, in my opinion buying things with bitcoins isn't a nice move,
you should use FIAT instead.
If today you can buy a car with btc, probably the next year you can buy 2 or 4 cars.
879  Economy / Goods / Re: House for sale on: July 25, 2014, 06:36:37 AM
Nice timing to sell your "little house"  Grin , the bitcoin value is about to rally again in the following months.
880  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello i have a question on: July 25, 2014, 05:34:58 AM
Escrow is a trusted person who can be used for secure transactions, I recommend esrow.ms in this forum
but there are also some websites which offer this service.

Bitstamp is one of the biggest exchanges at the moment.
