861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have any DCA plan on casino on: September 26, 2023, 10:11:38 AM
Is there any reputable casino that have plans to release a token? Which is your favorite casino token that you are looking forward to DCA few $$$the into? Do not advise me about how risky they can be, I understand the risk and I am willing to accept any losses.
Two big casinos with tokens are Rollbit with $RLB token, you missed its pump months ago. Another casino is Freebitco.in with $FUN token that has yet pumped latest months.

I really recommend you to follow the $FUN token because the quality and reputation of Freebitco.in casino is undoubtedly. I would like to note that Rollbit casino is more actively with their product developments so their token $RLB can have more waves than $FUN token.

Both tokens have inflationary issues but their team are trying to use part of casino income for Buy back and Burn. A bigger capital used for buy back and burn as well as more new demands in next two years can lift two tokens to higher prices.

863  Other / Meta / Re: Would it be possible if there was some kind of like button? on: September 26, 2023, 01:56:57 AM
Ok I know, surely you will comment that, this is not fb or twitter so there is no need for a like button. Yes yes yes... I know that, so please don't comment like that. Ok?

Is it possible that there is a tag (some kind of like button or some kind of merit but not limited) to tell the discussion partner that I have read the reply and am not interested in continuing the discussion. Is that possible?
It is Merit button that is similar to a Like button with many forum members.

Merit system is designed to merit quality posts but it is not used like how it was designed. You can use it as a Like button and liking a post can be because you see it is a good, quality post or just like it (how it is funny, but I don't actually support this liking, meriting way).

My past discussion on it Sendable merit, how to use it? Send it when agree/ disagree with posts?
864  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 26, 2023, 01:52:07 AM
I'd advise people not to do this. If my experience from two bull runs tells me anything, it is that holding your coins when the bull run is happening (especially near the end) is not a wise choice. I lose so many potential profits doing that. Sure, there is no way to exit at the perfect time, but making a plan to sell some of your cons when the bull run happens is better imo. Especially if you don't have that much capital to begin with.
With Bitcoin, if you missed chances to take profit in a market cycle, a bull run, you still can have chances next times with future market cycles. I agree with you that missing a bull run is not good but I also agree with hathepsut that holding and waiting for a next bull run is not too bad.

With altcoins, if you lost chances to take profit, holding them can put your capital at risk of big losses or even completely losses of your initial capital. Altcoins are very risky because they are changing quickly with a market cycle, some months or years of bear market can kill altcoin projects. They are worse than Bitcoin in surviving through bear market.

How many cryptocurrencies have failed?

You can write anything you like for discussions because forum allows freedom of speech. If you disagree, let's discuss. If you feel like it is a trolling thread, ignore it. Don't waste your time for non sense or trolling discussions because it does not go anywhere.

I don't think it is necessary to compare you and that poster. Focus on yourself, keep learning and improving yourself. Forum members will notice your improvement if it is organically and naturally.

866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Psychology and tips on: September 25, 2023, 10:01:24 AM
Remaining positive and trying to influence our psychology to avoid negative thoughts is important when it comes to trading. I learned most of these things through gambling, as I started regular gambling when I turned 18 and there were a lot of tools especially in poker that can be also used when trading stocks and cryptos.
Practically if you are too positive or over negative, your thinking and action will be biased then no longer accurate. As a trader, investor or gambler, you should keep your mood as most neutral as possible then you can make better decisions or at least avoid bad mistakes because of emotional, psychological effects.

Yes I agree that trading is not always an internal factor, but in reality external factors will be very influential. It could be that when we analyze and we enter the market there is news that will suddenly affect the market. Surely it will change what we have analyzed about price movements
We are not whales and we are not manipulating the market. What we think about the market can be what whales are setting up their manipulations and they even see it better than us. So if we believe that what we see and think about the next movement of market is correct, whales can do opposite manipulation on the market. Then if we gamble with leverage, we will be trapped by whales and exchanges will liquidate our positions. It is not good and can be nightmare if we make loan to invest, trade and use very high leverages. Because a higher leverage, a higher risk to be liquidated and a bigger loss we will get at the end.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That. on: September 25, 2023, 09:48:24 AM
If you have a job and have a fixed source of income and that income is somehow more than enough for your family needs, I do not think it is bad to take a loan to invest in Bitcoin.  For the reason:

1.  You are able to pay the monthly dues
2.  You can time the loan and buy Bitcoin when Bitcoin is in its dip giving you the advantage.
3.  If the annual interest rate is lower than 10%, the profit with Bitcoin will outweigh these interest rate

People take loan when they are establishing a business I think it is not different with taking loan to invest in Bitcoin.  One just needs to make sure that they are able to pay the loan monthly dues and still have enough money to cover their family needs.  If that is impossible then I also won't recommend loaning to invest into Bitcoin.
I am against this idea.

Because you can lose your job anytime and your income will be changed or turn to be zero when you lose all your jobs. You will be in trouble to pay your loan interest in that situation.

If you have a job, good income, you can choose a safer way, use part of your income to accumulate Bitcoin. No loan, no loan interest, no loan repayment and if you lose your jobs, you won't have to be burned with loan interest. In that situation you only have to stop your accumulation  but you can always come back when you get a new job.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 25, 2023, 07:24:01 AM
Sure, Ronaldo bagged two goals against Al Ahli, which is a pretty solid performance, but let's not forget about assists, right? Talisca scored the same amount in that game and even made an assist. If we're talking about the impact on the game, I reckon Talisca had a bit more of an edge in that match. Now, I'm not throwing shade at Ronaldo, the guy’s a legend. But from where I'm standing, even with nine goals in seven weeks, he’s still got to step up the game if he wants to top the SPL charts this season. It's not just about scoring; it’s about contributing to the team's overall play
Sounds like scoring goals to help a team winning a match is not enough. It must be scoring goals, making assists, making tackles, saving shots from opponents to be enough. Talisca and Ronaldo both have a good match for their team and together they won it. They win and lose as team mates and as a team so who make assists, who score goals is not too important but more importance is whether they win or lose a match, then a bigger, win or lose a league.

Talisca used to be a main striker of Al Nassr before Cristiano Ronaldo joined them since World Cup 2022. Now with Mane, Brozovic, they will have better ability to have more flexible and powerful attacking system that can help they beat more opponents and compete with big clubs in Saudi Professional League like Al Ittihad and Al Ahli.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 25, 2023, 07:12:19 AM
Totenham and arsenal are now having the same points. The match was having very fast tempo compared with another match. It's pretty interesting to see that how all of goals from arsenal was coming from romero's mistakes.
Every player can make mistakes like Romero and he just had a very bad match day. What he contributes for Tottenham in a long season is more important for him and the club. The big clash ended with a draw but generally Arsenal created more opportunities in the match than Tottenham. They would be a team that more disappointed with only one point after the final whistle.

Quote

Totenham was always scoring through the open play which is showing its quality. Son can also become a very good replacement for kane.
SOn is really showing his quality. He was always able playing so well as central striker or attacking midfielder. Im feeling so amazing to see son's performance.
Son Heung Min is a main attacking power of Tottenham and they can rely on him two or three more seasons but they must prepare for replacement of the Korean player. Soon he will have less contribution for them because of ageing and less appearances for them. So far, Son Heung Min already made a great history for South Korean player in Premier League as well as Asian players there.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin miners energy usage has exceeded 50%, where is Elon? on: September 24, 2023, 02:42:34 AM
HODLers can instantly re-buy the "wasted" Bitcoins. Or maybe they want to take some profits with less KYC hassle involved. They can re-buy partially then. In any case, they're strengthening Bitcoin's "use as a currency" ecosystem and make Bitcoin's value proposition stronger, which could benefit them in the long term.

Think about Laszlo in 2010. He "wasted" lots of BTC but strengthened the ecosystem, and I'm sure he got the 10.000 BTC back very fast (via mining, etc.).
Nothing is wasted for nothing if Bitcoin network becomes bigger and stronger with time.

The Pizza of bitcoins trade of laszlo is only part of Bitcoin history but it is important to help Bitcoin gaining noise and attention in early years. It helpfully contributed to Bitcoin survival and with time, laszlo's trade and other traders, initiatives in community combined together to make Lindy effect bigger. The effect is know with gold and now we are witnesses for it with Bitcoin. The effect is mentioned in The bullish case for Bitcoin that should be one of bedside books for Bitcoiners.
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the SEC approve BTC ETF in the coming 23 days? on: September 24, 2023, 02:15:15 AM
Gary Gensler was voted to be SEC. chair with a 5-year term which will end in 2026, 2 years after a next President Election in the USA.

Even if he stays at the SEC. as their chair, he will face with more restrictions when the politics in the USA. change a lot after 2024 President Election. Recent months in 2023, we already witnessed many hearings and challenging questions against many unreasonable decisions from SEC. He failed to answer many questions in the Congress hearing and he will face with more challenging questions in future hearings.

The failed lawsuit recently is another red flag for SEC. and I believe we will see a first approval for Bitcoin Spot ETF in the nation. I expect it will happen after the 2024 President Election, not sooner.
872  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 23, 2023, 12:14:40 PM
I believe the main reason for that to end a bit later than what they anticipated was the fact that it wasn't clear what they wanted with the topic of it. When you do something like Halloween or Christmas or valentines day etc etc, you know there is a topic for it and it's clear what they want from us as well. But that August one that had to be extended wasn't clear at all and it was just august, that's it.
Halloween, Christmas and Valentines events are far from now but so discussions about them right now can go in to the air and be forgotten. I believe Roobet marketing team do remember about their past marketing programs around those special days and they will come back with similar or new programs to celebrate those days.

Rules can be changed by the team but with public announcement, it will not be big issue for participants. Events and marketing programs are enjoyable, not to feel headache about them.
873  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn how scammers capitalise on a trending coin or token. Save your funds. on: September 23, 2023, 11:45:53 AM
What do we should do? Because when you joined the trend, project farmers scammed us. That's how trending will end up, and investors will lose their funds. I will suggest you don't just jump into trends. Make sure the projects are solid. It's just not about bot trending. Pepe also did well, so many Pepe tokens have been launched. That is almost dead, but Pepe is doing good. Those launch later, and investors lose funds there. Don't be greedy, because everyone can't catch the trend. If you are late, you will lose. Rather, I would avoid any investment in brand new projects.
Altcoins are trending coins and they don't actually have good idea for product developments as well as don't have good usability. Those token projects simply are created to join trends but altcoin gamblers love trending projects. Not only PEPE recent months but before PEPE, after Elon Musk pumped Dogecoin, many projects with dogs in token icon and name were launched to scam people.

It happened years and months ago but did those people learn anything? I believe majority of them easily forgot those lessons and even their own losses, when PEPE trend appeared, they joined it again, lost again. In future when other new trends occur, they will join those trends again.
874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is The Father After All on: September 23, 2023, 04:09:29 AM
If they can invest in other coins, why can't they buy bitcoin? It's not that they can't afford to buy bitcoin, they're simply greedy and think that bitcoin doesn't bring significant profits so they choose to invest in altcoins. But they need to be careful because not all altcoins will increase in price with bitcoin, the bull season is still very far away and many altcoins will continue to disappear before the bull season really comes.
When they invest money in cryptocurrency market, a first cryptocurrency they must invest in should be Bitcoin. It is even not enough, their biggest part of investment should be used to buy Bitcoin. The minority of their capital can be used to buy altcoins.

Because altcoins are more risky than Bitcoin and if an investor focuses on protecting capital first, they will not use most of capital for altcoins. Unfortunately in reality, most of investors are not interested in Bitcoin and they fall in love with altcoins. Most or all of their capital are for altcoins and with destiny of altcoins is likely dead, they lose most of their capital.

Quote
Even if you spend money on potential altcoins, there are no guarantees, so don't count on free coins from a bounty campaign. Things have changed a lot, free coins from bounty campaigns are trash these days. Holding on for long periods of time is pointless.
Potential altcoins is a very promising term to attract altcoin investors but with each bear market, many potential altcoins die. We will see more potential altcoins in 2024 and 2025 but in 2026 and 2027, most of them will die again like previous cycles.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 23, 2023, 04:00:34 AM
City had a bunch of great players on the bench. It will not be so difficult to replace those who are injured with good players. Nottingham forest was nothing for manchester city. The current squad is more then enough to beat nottingham forest.
Forest was not as hard as westham. It will not be as hard as westham. I expect an easy win for manchester city. Haaland, silva, rodri, alvarez and many more to play in the game against nottingham forest.
Playing at home makes city will be much easier to beat forest.
Manchester City have perfect results in Premier League so far and they have many star players who can replace each other without much difference in team performance and result. It is their biggest advantage compares to other teams in Premier League.

Nottingham Forest is not at a same level of Manchester City, does not have too good form recently and they have to try best as well as hope that Manchester City will play worse than usual to have point from this giant opponent.

Well, that's good? because he conceded 14 goals in a total of 6 matches he played with Man United. I think it is still far from positive expectation Man United fans want. After that, Onana still faced his biggest challenge. Make no mistake, being a goalkeeper for a Premier League club is not as easy as when he was in Serie A. The comparison is very far and difficult. For the first season, inevitably Onana had to accept bad results, but because it was still early in the season, everything could be improved if he continued to study the Premier League game. The defeat to Bayern Munich in the UCL made Onana mentally decline, as can be seen from several clips showing feelings of frustration and self-blame after the match.
It is unfair to judge capability of a goalkeeper only by total conceded goals but I agree that it is a bad statistics for Onana. It comes from many factors, firstly from himself with not too good ability to save shots from opponents and second from bad defensive system of Manchester United.

They play as a team and their team must cooperate with each other to improve defense from proactively pressing at the front line to midfield and lastly their defenders around the box to reduce dangerous shots from opponents. They can not open their box, leave opponents freely to shot and hope Onana will keep a clean sheet.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 08:56:39 AM
I love how the Saudi pro league is becoming tough and interesting, I friend of mine was said they're wasting their time by offering players huge salary to lure them into the league and that they'll end up like the Chinese league, but I told him last season to wait and see how the league is going to be transformed, especially with the introduction of Cristiano Ronaldo into the league, currently the league is gaining more popularity and attract  more players to join and not too long from now they'll be rated among one of the most interesting leagues.
With money spent to buy star players and pay they high salary, it has been changing the league to be more exciting and attractive with star players from Europe as well as television companies in European countries. Matches in the league become more exciting and have better quality as well as competitiveness.

Problems are they bought many old players who will not be able to play like 2 or 3 more years with good performances or longer. Will they spend big money again to buy other old star players again?

It's hard to maintain such spending to maintain the league quality and Saudi Arabian clubs hardly to succeed if they want to buy young star players from Europe. I don't imagine this will happen soon before the league quality becomes much better. At a quality level which can help young star players from Europe can play in Saudi Professional League but still be called for their international duties. That time has yet come and the sustainable growth of the league is still very slim.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 08:47:49 AM

Seeing Manchester United's journey so far is certainly very sad with 3 consecutive defeats including the previous match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. I feel like Erik ten Hag's fate is hanging in the balance as coach of the Red Devils and since the match against Brighton last week we can see the fans booing regarding the decision to withdraw Hojlund who was replaced by Martial.

However, that didn't stop, Erik Ten Hag's decision again received protests from fans after bringing Hojlund back to replace Martial in the match against Bayern Munich. I think Red Devils fans are starting to become dissatisfied with the performance of the Dutch coach and it seems that soon we will see the hashtag #Ethout if the results continue to get worse in either the EPL or Champions League.
And people in Manchester United think Ten Hag is their savior and he is a better coach than David Moyes, Jose Mourinho, Solskajer. He is more lucky that those coaches because after many years of failures with some coaches, Manchester United changed themselves and became more patiently with Ten Hag. They are giving him bigger power than other coaches, allowing him to punish star players if he wants to do it. They are giving him more money continuously to build up the squad but their squad still have many weakness. Not much different than one from Solskjaer some years ago and this summer, he did not try to buy a good defender for the club.

Let De Gea leaving and buy Onana, wasting good budget to buy a good defender. He's Ten Hag, Manchester United savior but when will he be sacked?

I only knew GameProtect was banned by trolling + doxing. He trolled many years but was not banned until days he switched to doxing.
He was permbanned for plagiarized.
Thank you. I was wrong partially but GameProtect was a target of many members before that ban. Many questions from community why the user was not banned after all of his circus around. Finally, he made a mistake and was banned (I missed the last reason for his ban).

One member was banned for doxing is humanrightsfoundation, this case is surely correct recalled. That thread is still better from the one leads to his ban, doxing theymos directly.

You guys are incredibly responsive. I might try to sign a transaction with the key that allowed me to donate 5 BTC to Bitcointalk. But that goes way back. It doesn't seem simple to me!
If you can sign a Bitcoin message from the Bitcoin address you donated 5 BTC to the forum, it is good proof for your account recovery. Forum admins can ask you more questions to verify you are real owner of the Donator account or just a new owner (hacker or who bought that account).

During that time, I talked a lot about Ripple, and XRP wasn't well-received on Bitcointalk. I irritated some people and ended up "trolling," which resulted in a ban. This must have been around 2013 or 2014.
Be banned for trolling is very barely applied if it does not have something like personal doxing etc.

I only knew GameProtect was banned by trolling + doxing. He trolled many years but was not banned until days he switched to doxing.

Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts is one of the best possible ways to lock your assets for your kids for certain years and they will have access to it. But I just want to remind you that never forget your health and life insurance which will act as an emergency fund for your family even if it makes them a fortune for their remaining life.
You can use time lock as your scheduled time for your family members to inherit your bitcoins but they must know what Bitcoin is, what Bitcoin wallet to use and how to access that inherited wallet.

It is not very different than you give them your wallet seed and teach them how to recover that wallet by importing the seed. The common steps are teaching them basics about Bitcoin, recover, back up, make an on chain transaction. It's so important to warn your family members that they should never share wallet seeds  with anyone.

Not your keys, not your coins. Teach them about it.
