861  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-12-08] Zee: Our bitcoin turnover is over Rs 500 crore, says Sandeep Goenka on: December 15, 2016, 07:51:58 PM
Congrats... thats some great news.. but unfortunately ur INR price always high Compare to others

If we have higher prices, then I think you should take it as a benefit and not as a disadvantage.
The higher prices are because of demonetization and they will remain there until banks are full with cash again.
Anyways, congratulations to Zebpay for such an achievement and providing the best service among all Indian Bitcoin Exchanges.
862  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-12-10] ET: Bitcoin hits highest levels in almost three years on: December 15, 2016, 07:48:04 PM
The turnovers have been exceptional and these all time highs have just become possible due to demonetization, thanks to our PM because of whom this has happened. I think we should start talking about bitcoins openly to people so to let them start using this too just as they are using PayTM.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on Bitcoin price on: December 15, 2016, 07:24:12 PM
Hello Bitcoin lovers!

Where I can bet on BTC price? I don't mean "What will be BTC price by the end of 2016,2017 etc?" bets. I would like to bet on quick changes of BTC price (dollars).

Thank you!

Such kind of bet doesn't exist yet. There are similar bets to this through binary options but I don't know any website which offers such betting.

And even if it were such site you better stay away as Bitcoin price is way too volatile to make wins out of this, sure you can be lucky a few times but in the long run with such kind of bet you would be definitely losing.

I think we, including OP, are little bit confused on what he actually wants.
And people suggesting name of secondstrade should know that it is kind of binary options.
And if that's what OP's been looking for, then I think there are many websites which allow bitcoins to be traded as binary options.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Gainbitcoin: Invest 1 Bitcoin and get 10% Return for 18 Months on: December 15, 2016, 07:11:28 PM
Gainbitcoin is a scam. You'll lose your money.

I think that they will possibly gamble or trade with people's money, because seriously, such returns are never going to be made or else this will also run away with investors' money just like HashOcean did. So, staying away is the best choice.
865  Local / India / Re: How to buy paytm cash? on: December 15, 2016, 07:04:52 PM
There is an website to buy paytm cash with bitcoins..

I think, its unocoin

You cannot buy PayTM cash from Unocoins, the only place that currently allows such deals is localbitcoins.
OP, there are groups on WhatsApp where you can find people making such deals, but please beware from being scammed.
866  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-12-01] ToI: FIR against Delhi businessman for not returning Bitcoin on: December 15, 2016, 06:30:32 PM
This is something interesting and is actually needed here, so to stop scams in each sector including digital currencies too.
This would give a positive approach for bitcoins in India that even with the use of bitcoins, one cannot scam.
We don't need rules for it TBH, but we also need safety so not to be scammed.
867  Economy / Economics / Re: Most Secure Currency to Hold Funds on: December 15, 2016, 06:21:11 PM
As I know , gold are stable investment compare if you're investing on bitcoin.
So I'm suggest if you have many bitcoin, you better invest some of it into gold since bitcoin consider as risky investation

Why is it so? Bitcoins are riskier even more than gold?
I think that OP should still hold his coins and wait for the price to increase, so to sell his coins for USD itself as it will give him more reward than what he would get with gold.
868  Local / India / Re: Indian Gold Import Ban and Tax, Bitcoin Flying.. on: December 15, 2016, 06:12:54 PM

But perhaps there are not going to be elections anymore?

Care to elaborate?

Some people make extremely stupid comments that they don't even bother to explain, so just ignore such comments.
And OP, it is not going to be easy even for Bitcoins as it flew just because people were "selling" their old notes in order to get bitcoins, and now everything is settling down here in India.
869  Local / India / Re: How Long Should We Tolerate It? on: December 15, 2016, 05:55:32 PM
Don't worry, it is against the rules here and moderators do watch it. Smiley
They will deal with the same, and I think the comment that you were talking about, got deleted by some of the mods here.
870  Local / India / Re: Request to all Indian members on: December 15, 2016, 05:52:56 PM
It does not depend on the number of posts but the number of members in that country that know about Bitcoins.
How many, do you think, are aware of Bitcoins in India? It is still new to many so not many are joining here so to post here.

872  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Trusted Cloud Mining Website on: December 01, 2016, 09:05:59 PM
Yes there are trusted cloudmining sites

Hashnest is one. It is by Bitmain, which are producers of Bitcoin miners, you can buy a miner from them and get it shipped to your home - or opt for their hashnest. - In this one, its possible you get a profit.

Other REAL mining that wont steal your bitcoins is Genesis. But you will not get a profit with Genesis, almost for sure.

Profiting or not is a different thing, but investing in cloud mining sites does take a lot of time and efforts (like waiting patiently) in order to earn from them, but I think it's just like we are doing faucets because real cloud mining sites will never pay higher and others who come up with some interesting offers are nothing but scams, so I would recommend to stay away from cloud mining sites.
873  Local / India / Re: 20% premium on bitcoin for Indian customers thank you demonatization on: December 01, 2016, 08:55:32 PM
Demonatization is an over all a good thing, it is showing the world and mainly Indians that the real intrinsic value in any currency lies in its usability factor like bitcoin.  The free market exchanges in india like coinsecure, btcxindia, trybitcoin etc are seeing a price surge purely as a result of demand and supply. It is organic economics not greed.

Organic, but how? If not greed, why did buyers bought the coins just for the sake of hiding their black money behind the scenes?
If not greed, why the sellers are not taking old notes anymore? It's all greed for which everyone committed wrong deeds, but I would say it's not greed, but business and Indians did it just because of demonetization, but the effect seems to be melting now.
874  Local / India / Re: Back To India on: December 01, 2016, 08:22:53 PM
Hello friends!
i am back to New Delhi from Pataya. Any bitcoin Meet up going to happen in this year? I will be available here till 15th January. Guys who wish to meet me can meet me personally.

First of all, welcome (back) to India. (I put back in brackets coz I don't know whether you are an Indian and already were here or came here for the first time) Smiley
Don't know about bitcoin meetups, but if you are interested in blockchain technology, you should definitely visit 2016 Blockchain conference which is going to be held in Mumbai on 15th December, you can find more details on this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1700225.0
875  Local / India / Re: Price drop on: December 01, 2016, 08:18:25 PM
Price was inflated because of demonetization, but now it seems everything going back to normal.

I don't think so yet .. there is still 1 month to cover the cash issue in India .. so there is a chance to rise in Mid Dec or may be end Dec .. Smiley

Well, it's just a guess you are talking about, and we all are seeing the prices skidding down rapidly and a difference of 10k in a day is not a small thing to just let go and buy in when you are not sure what you will see the next minute. I think everything has settled now because 1k notes are completely out of use and even 500 Rupees notes will be out of use soon, and I don't think that now anybody will be accepting those notes. They wanted to take the advantage of this opportunity, they took it and now they are out of the game.
876  Local / India / Re: People pay your Taxes on: December 01, 2016, 08:08:42 PM
I still feel bitcoin is a tax free thing.

That was the whole point of the creation of Bitcoin .

If you guys keep acting like pussies then maybe the government will start regulating it no matter what.

The thing is people need to stand up against the evil the government do.

If no one pays tax and everyone shifts to bitcoin what are they going to do ?

So how you sure that its tax free in India ..

its still unclear to me how to pay tax for btc trades .. :/ i use personally coinsecure .. so when i file tax what income i mention ? and do i need to submit btc transaction details .. please can someone point me to a good CA who expert in this matter .. :/

Basically you will only have a problem if you move lakhs of money in and out of your account banks and income tax will wonder whats up but it's still legal.

But they say you must pay taxes for the profit u make on buying and selling btc. It's still iffy though. As bitcoin is not a legit job or source of income.  There are so many investors for online sites and other things like paid to click who get excused from paying tax.

Only a lawyer can answer this though as far as I know it should be legal but some btc exchanges in the early days got busted for moving around alot of money ... but the cops couldnt do anything.

Taxes are needed to be paid at any cost because in the end, you are converting your coins to a currency which is used in the country you live, so you are definitely bound to pay taxes. You will need to show statements as well as sources from where you have been gaining bitcoins, and even if it's gambling, you will need that too to be shown in your statements that you got x amount in your account through gambling.
877  Local / India / Re: ABP news Indian news channel talking about zebpay and Unicoin --- Bitcoins on: December 01, 2016, 07:55:56 PM

But don't you think these guys are creating a false/misleading image of bitcoins in front of Indians by showing it as a "source for people changing their black money for bitcoins"? This is not how we wanted everyone to know about it, still whether positive or negative, I think this will surely get bitcoins somewhere here in India as a lot of publicity is being done currently and I am now hearing about bitcoins everywhere.
878  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-11-28] Firstpost: Govts, industries worldwide to embrace blockchains on: December 01, 2016, 07:44:06 PM
Waiting to see such embracing statements coming from Government of India too as digitization is taking place rapidly here, and I think that this is the time blockchain should get started being used for different purposes in India too, because if not bitcoins, at least this blockchain technology should be conserved.

880  Local / India / Re: High difference in Coinsecure - Zebpay & preev's exchange rate. on: December 01, 2016, 07:07:49 PM
zebpay is paying so much because of demonetization .thats why the demand of bitcoins is rising and rising till the economy  of india is being stable .hope  it will recover soon.fees are generally actually taxes thats u gotta pay it and there s no hiding in it .kudoos Smiley

Wait, who told you it's Zebpay that's paying people?
It's a trade engine where traders set the price, you have such features available in it so please check them there.
Zebpay sets the marginal price but Bitcoin sellers have actually hiked the prices at which you are buying the coins for, and vice versa for the sell side too, but yes it's all because of demonetization.
