861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GoldReserve][XGR]X11 Unique Stabilizer Fund, BACKED BY GOLD NOW! on: September 16, 2014, 05:25:20 PM

Lately the price of XGR was too low to sell the precious coins we have! The idea is to increase the gold amount big time, but if I waste the premine at those prices then we ended up with low amount of Gold!

Anyway I was able to speak with the new developer and he is willing to help me improve XGR!!
I will make a list to him and a timeline where I will set up the goals from small to big with a 6 months period! Then we will discuss the level of difficulty of the improvements and we will finalize the list and the order!

This will happen within a week, then I will officially release the timeline.

Oh, one other thing I will improve my Proof of Developer rating to 5 by making a skype conversation to CryptoAsian. That will be within a week as well! Cool

Have a nice weekend fellows!

what about adding XGR on Bier exchange?

You meant Bter exchange... Hmm, there was a hack not long ago: http://www.coindesk.com/bter-nxt-bitcoin-exchange-hack/

Never heard about Bier exchange though.

So, i`ve just tried to send with SuperSend ticked, some supercoin between 2 wallets I got, after I hit send, green S is turning to yellow S for about 1 or 2 min, then it`s turning to green S again, but nothing is sent or recieve, nothing happens.

Though, I`ve tried exactly the same thing with mammoth coin and everything worked smoothly.

Why is that?

Can you post here what is in the .log file about that transaction so the devs can check when they will be online.

open with text editor like PsPad or similar one debug.log file in your appdata/supercoin folder

The problem was solved. The coins arrived to destination, it took a little longer than mamm, but that doesn`t bother me!
Thanks anyway, exemplaar for trying to help me! :*

edit: I was wrong! the coins that arrived are the coins wich i sent without supersend, after i`ve tried and didn`t worked with supersend.
So i`ve tried again to send with supersend, and i got the same result, nothing happens!
I`ve installed pspad and opened the debug.log file, but i don`t know what to copy/paste here so the devs can check. Will you be so kind to tell me please? thx

Ok, type in wallet debug console "getlastanontxinfo" without quotes. Did that returned any event?

Also you should look in .log file for entries like guarantor accepted address and mixer accepted address.

Will have more time to test by myself this tomorrow. Report your findings, tnx.

Hello, I`ve been out of town this weekend and I didn`t had time to look into this.

So, I woke up and tried to send again some coins, with supersend, between my 2 waletts and again, nothing happens.
I typed gatlastanontxinfo after each transaction and got this:

In both infos say that service nodes not available. what i must do?
Thanks

Hi, no problem, we are here  Wink

That is strange. You need at least 2 service nodes for operation to complete successfully.
Try this:
1.Close wallet and copy the whole content of your appdata/roaming/supercoin folder to safe location.
2.Check your .conf file that you have nodes from OP in it.
3.Check that your firewall does not block your supercoin-qt.
4.Delete file peers.dat from your appdata/roaming/supercoin folder.
5.Start your wallet and wait to get some active connections.
6.Try supersend again.

Gold backed coins seems to gain popularity.

Here is another one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=754858.0

Dev, can you please check this out, tnx.

Hi, I just checked their ANN page, but after the "book building", they became silent, no news, nothing. As I do not have a ripple address I can not check where are they now, and as one of my friends pointed out, fully backed means if the coin worth 0,4 btc then 1 coin backed by 0,4 btc worth of gold!!!

What they promised that 1 coin will be backed by 2,8 gramms of gold, but there weren't any explanation where those gold come from and where is it now, or where it will be stored.

I do not know what to think, but it is strange that after they sold their coins they went silent...??

Thanks for your insight and keep up the good work. There are some nice trading activities on allcoin exchange and the price is going up.

Anyone else having this error too:

This is what i get when i downloading all blocks from zero again using
my old wallet.dat.
I delete everything, except wallet.dat.

I have the latest Supercoin version 1.6.1 (github) under Linux (Xubuntu).
Never had this error before.

A day before this latest version was available i have send al my SUPER
to my other Supercoin wallet on another PC.
Both PC's were using at that moment the latest version of Supercoin

The wallet i have send all my SUPER to (in 3 different amounts) now says
that all amounts are unconfirmed and conflicted!

But the old wallet gave me the error like you see on the picture.

If i download all blocks with a new wallet.dat, it works without problem.

Looks like i'm lost my SUPER Sad

So, even back-up wallets is not safe... or does anyone knows a solution?

Thanks.

Ps. i'm using the recent supercoin.conf from start topic.

This error unfortunately could be a corrupted wallet.dat file. Do you have multiple backups of that file? Try with another one.

If you are still getting that error, try launching supercoin-qt with -salvagewallet command.

Always make multiple backups of wallet.dat. I always made one on SSD one on HDD and one on USB flash disk.

Hope this will resolve your situation.

Have the nodes in the OP been updated to v3.1.1?

Yes, the nodes in the OP were also updated to v3.1.1.
Cheers!

Cool, thanks  Grin

Though, I`ve downloaded the zip supercoin.conf and it shows:
rpcuser=youruser
rpcpassword=yourpass

And I think it should be:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass

Again, I`m not good at all with coding, and maybe it is good either way, but I doubt that cause my wallet started to sync after I edited to rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass

Maybe dev could confirm that?

rpc entries are for solomining, so they don't matter.

You can also remove them all from .conf file.

Question for Dev

2 It is possible that some currency survive without being anonymous as Supercoin, Darkcoin, etc. ..? [/color]

Thank you

Hi!

2. In my opinion only coins without anonymous will survive on the long term.

Thanks
Hi there.
Opinions doesn't matter. Please check that video ASAP: OpenBazaar's Sam Patterson Talks Ecommerce, Decentralization, Multisig & More | Coin Brief Interview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK85PCee3pU

Hi!

Says somebody who supports Supercoin..
Like you said opinions doesn't matter even not yours or Sam's.

gruve_p

I only post facts. I don't give opinions. And we live in a free world so i can freely choose which coin to support. I also mined some GRS.

My statement and a fact is that without implementing new future tech(for example presented in video), GRS will stay at 100SAT or below. I strongly believe that you do not want to see the price range 1-100SAT forever.

have a good day

That's no fact. That's your fact. Mine fact is that it is not the future tech which makes the coin but the mass adoption, investors, merchants. I know for a fact that the price range will be higher than 100SAT end of this year. We will see at the end who was right.

best regards,

gruve_p

Hi dev.

There is no reason, meaning or purpose for merchants and buyers, investing in coin with outdated technology.

Why mass adoption of torchlight when we have electric bulb. Makes no sense. BUT,... I say but if you can implement new advanced tech, that will make perfect sense.

Please consider again option of implementing new advanced tech. There is always time to change your mind.

have a great day

Nice mem OC you have there, though you have somewhat high voltage for 1286Mhz.

I had to delete the blkindex. 12 hours later it still isn't completely synced. Does this sound right? (Version 1.5)

Edit: And everytime I click on the wallet it goes to (Not Responding) for about 30 seconds then comes back. So I can't even unlock it for minting, even though it hasn't fully synced yet.

I also had to delete and start from scratch. Now 14 hours syncing, only 59% done. Why is it so slow. How to speed up this. Anyone have any clue?

When you sync from scratch, do it with a brand new empty wallet.dat. It's faster than with a wallet containing coins!

My wallet finally synced. About 14 hours later.

Wouldn't the wallet resync over again when you replace the wallet.dat with the original that contains the coins?

No - once the blockchain is downloaded, the wallet.dat file just tells the client which address/addresses to look for. Only takes a few seconds.

i like that idea ..i'll have to remember that one !

also i would say make sure the wallet has enough CPU power to work.
i doubt it's an issue but i CPU mine myself so i have to manage resources with that.. some wallets take a lot of power on occasions

confirm that new wallet take more cpu usage than old one
Thanks for the help, it worked. Did it with a brand new empty wallet.dat, took me "only" 10 hours to full sync.
New wallet is good and in my case does not consume more cpu power.
DougB62 i send you pm, please check.

Hey Mamm fans. Audio is done for the videos to promote Mamm Super +Supersend. I'm a little backed up though, won't be able to get the video finished before the 25th. But phase 2 comes out and I promise I'm all over it. I have versions for both Mamm and Super, done by different vocal performers.
@remistevens Ok this is great. I hope the video is going to help about our innovation to be understood. Please advice which logo you liked from above we can decide on it quick and move on.

We will make people understand our technology. Mammothcoin is better than litecoin or all others.

i or j look good

So how is everybody?

Hi.

I'm sweating at supermultipool. Huh, mining is quite challenging, but we will endure. We are looking at future, not on current circumstances.

Will bi nice if some more miners hop in and join us.

thanks
If is there anything we can help let us know.

thanks Superteam, I appreciate. So far there are no big issues.

Is your wallet locked or unlocked?  Locked wallets can't stake.  When you go to unlock there is also an option that only unlocks the PoS staking aspect for extra security.  I do that and have no problems staking daily.  It also matters how much you have.  I have quite a bit of JPC which stakes many times a day.  On my other PoS coins I have very little and stake only some days and it seems quite random.

Yes it's Unlocked, Thanks for your reply.

I'm fairly savvy and can't figure this one out.

I could transfer everything to another Wallet but then I'd lose the coin days, and may be right back where I started.

Hi.
Make sure that you have last wallet v1.4.1 and add these nodes to your .conf file:
addnode=74.208.234.18
addnode=219.194.178.90
addnode=85.241.196.165
addnode=188.78.66.111
addnode=96.27.101.117
addnode=2.27.246.124
addnode=69.123.197.209

also if you are not solo mining, remove all rpc parameters from your .conf file and set listen and server to 0

you never told us how many coins you have.. if you don't have very many your going to be waiting a long time that is how it works..
you seem to know what your doing but have avoided giving us all any real info.

when you hover over the staking icon in the wallet what does it say ?
Have you enabled advanced options and looked at your confirmations on your coins ? is there lots ?

It works fine form me but guys i think you *may have the wrong expectations.. that is big problem.
If your wallet is unlocked then you should be fine.. just wait Wink

of course he's right about the RPC commands.. they are a security vulnerability *possibly that is not needed unless your solo mining.
And yeah make sure your wallet is updated other than that i have no clue what to suggest sorry..

edit:
Hey guys does restarting your wallet affect your staking ?
I restarted mine lat night a few times in a short period doing software updates ..fuck that pisses me off LOL
and i can't remember if that is bad or what..

I have around 150,000 confirmed  going back hourly since the end of July, from mining. I took out the RPC Stuff and I'll see what happens.

Now that solo mining was mentioned I did a while back try to sol and gpu. I found the cpu mining greatly affected my gpu mining so I tried and stopped in an hour.

Maybe that changed something. It says my weight is 1470366 and 1 day.

Thanks!

Well in that case...
...from 150.000 coins there is not much stake weight, no matter how mature they are. You are lucky getting stake 1x a day with that amount. I got my first stake when i have approx. 700.000 coins.
Some good staking weight you can expect when you will have 3 million or more coins.

880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GoldReserve][XGR]X11 Unique Stabilizer Fund, BACKED BY GOLD NOW! on: August 19, 2014, 06:45:47 PM
Hmm we really need a multipool, That'll surely make things interesting.

I don't really understand how a multipool could help XGR. Yes, I know what a multipool is doing and that it could create buy support for XGR, but to have real buy support that needs big amounts of BTC and altcoin profitabilty is falling and falling. That means less BTC / MHash day. Just look at multipool stats (e.g. poolpicker.eu ) who do altcoin mining and pay out in BTC then calculate how much hashrate is needed to create real buy walls for XGR.

During PoW phase XGR never had really high hashrates (I'd guess, the average hashrate for XGR was 1-2 GHash during PoW phase), why should now 10, 20 30 GHash be pointed to a multipool to get payouts in XGR? For anyone who thinks logically and economically it's cheaper to buy XGR than to try to mine it via multipool.

Just my thoughts about this multipool topic.

I like the concept of mining real gold from a computer. Quite bizarre actually. I wonder how much gold will actually make it to the reserve?

Speaking of which, isn't gold meant to be added weekly?

Multipools can be created with different algorithms, so maybe if a multipool start a SHA-256 pool for XGR then people can direct their ASIC miners there to collect some GOLD! Cool

Next batch of FIAT arrived to the Gold Account, now we have 7 gramms of gold and 30 EUR. (because of the higher transaction fees I misscalculated the amount I should send...)

Also with scrypt, scrypt-n and x11/x13 algo multipool would attract more miners, thus more hashpower. Constant buy pressure guaranteed. Pool operator would have to buy XGR with BTC on exchanges to pay miners. Price of XGR would rise.
