861  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PumpTeam.Net - Elite Group of Pumpers on: July 25, 2016, 04:40:51 PM

yes mate the main target of this group are those newbies who doesn't understand how the trade works, they both help the dev who doesn't know how to create good usable coins and those whales who have enough btc to invest and after the trust has been generated to those who use their service a big dump will happen and the dev and the newbie investors will cry out loud.

The main target is actually the people who buy during the pump, as majority of them are the people who end up losing. It acts like a ponzi for the pumpers. Its also bad for the dev irrespective if he is a good one or not, as the pump tends to involve enough money even for a decent altcoin to up in price and then down later. The manipulation simply causes people to lose money in the coin.
862  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Easy, fast and safe way to covert your coins to USD, EUR or GBP on: July 25, 2016, 04:08:09 PM
Obviously a scam. For anyone who incase is looking for a legit way to convert money to USD/EURO/GBP or any other currency instead should rather look at localbitcoins. Its superfast as well, with an escrow system to protect people.
863  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another shooting in a Florida nightclub on: July 25, 2016, 02:22:02 PM
As long as the US doesn't control its gun laws, its not going to be able to tackle these kinds of attacks efficiently. I believe this attack was because of a fight between 2 individuals at the party, but not much have been confirmed yet. I feel more sad for Munich where atleast they don't allow individuals to keep guns(or do they ? )

865  Local / Press & News from India / Re: [2016-07-20] HT: Financial fraud: Punjab cops’ brush with Darknet, Bitcoins on: July 25, 2016, 12:28:47 PM
Kind of sad to see this. They should be focusing more on the drug trades happening in the Punjab area which are happening without bitcoin. The situation is getting worse and worse by the day and should be the priority instead of the small portion of trades which happen through bitcoin.

It may be a serious case in the USA which is why the Indian police are under pressure to take some action.

As much as I know, financial crimes in the USA are treated as much more severely and on priority than in India.

Fraudulent credit card transaction in India - you file a FIR and forget about it, if you are very very lucky you may get your money back in 1-2 years. Most of the times it is a loss.

Fraudulent credit card transaction in USA - the banks have to return the money if the customer can prove he did not use the card for the transaction. High level police investigations are conducted by American govt and even if the culprit is in Europe or Asia they try to extradite him as soon as possible. There are thousands of such cases each year where fraudsters from all over the world are thrown into USA jails for messing with American money (USD).

Even in the US they are not able to track down bitcoin transactions or bitcoin related drug transactions so efficiently. Its only the marketplaces like Silkroad that they track down.

Considering this, I don't think Indian police has much chance of being able to track down those shipments which have been paid by bitcoins. But they certainly could address the Punjab problem and should prioritize that.

867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World is really moving toward space age ! on: July 25, 2016, 09:40:16 AM
What you think when you see movies like as 2000 years later as few of Hollywood movies are there, shown proper space age.

Block chain is a best tool to concur space age. I think already its beginning of spce age. As cryptocurrencies are good example of it.

I think even before bitcoin came about we are still entering a world of paperless currency. the likes of paypal and bank transfers have been happening for a while now which is just an exchange of numbers on a computer. Bitcoin is just another baby step towards a paperless currency and one day we will be done away with paper notes completely . Sometimes when i think of handing over a bank note it almost seems so primitive, its like a bunch of cavemen swapping bits of paper for actual goods. Digital currency is definitely where it will go from here on out.

The one BIG advantage bitcoin has over any of those currencies is the transparency. If we expand like predicted, then obviously Cash will have to go and something like bitcoin will have to take its place, and specially because transparency will become a big issue then, as probably the entire world's currency will have to be united.
868  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.tm not cashing out my winnings (over $20,000) 2 days now still no answer on: July 25, 2016, 09:34:22 AM
Another reason that when you wish to gamble huge amounts of money, you shouldn't do that on an online casino. 20K is probably much more than what they will ever earn through normal means.

Start a scam accusation with all the proof, and also post on other sites to bring it to other people's attention.

I dont know if i can trust this or not. But im interested. Let me buy some time to think. So what are the pumpers do? Dont post hate comments if you have not try it. Let them have a chance. Who knows this can earn way more than ithers?

Pumpers basically pump the coin by buying into it, this way the price of the coin goes up and up, and ultimately they all dump so other people who have been buying into it loses. Also note, the pumpers ultimately do lose money too, as a lot of time the late buyers are the one who buy into the coins sold by early pumpers.
871  Local / India / Re: BEWARE of using MOBIKWIK/PAYTM etc to trade BTC on: July 24, 2016, 05:46:10 PM

That is correct. I have mentioned that too, reputed traders with whom who you have worked before are perfectly fine.

Being a trader on localbitcoins, I would say not even this is 100% safe  taking into account that they ban all the future wallets that money was transferred too. Most of the times, traders obtain these funds(paytm balance or mobiwik) through trading itself, and they could have bought it from a wrong source themselves. The moment you buy it even from them, you are essentially taking a risk from the original seller to the reputed trader doing a charge back or something. And the reputed trader would likely take a negative rep instead of refunding the money because even he wouldn't want to lose money on a trade. Its just a safer option than buying from a newbie with less number of trades.
872  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | WORLDWIDE live dealer casino on: July 24, 2016, 03:55:29 PM
Can your loyalty points be used? I have been betting on this sportsbook for some time and accumulated a decent amount.

I went to the site to look for information on the loyalty points but can't find any answers.

Unfortunately there is no use of loyalty points as of now apart from the ones you get in the beginning. Thats one thing cloudbet should address hopefully but have been ignoring it for the past few years till now.
This is a sad oh so sad thing for them. They had so much potential but they drop the ball in anyway to be a serious casino site and people are moving to because other sites offer just as much and even more than they do. They are losing ALOT of business not address their customer's serious concerns and the major issues that is plaguing their support staff in not giving the perfect customer support they deserve for putting in 100's of bitcoins to their site.
Such a waste and a shame! Angry

Yes, actually they used to be really active about an year and a half back. Site was active, support was just about fine. But since October, the site owners or developers have sort of given up on the site and are no longer running it like they used to. The site still has potential. They should probably sell it, if they are not up to running it.
873  Local / India / Re: BEWARE of using MOBIKWIK/PAYTM etc to trade BTC on: July 24, 2016, 03:48:43 PM
Hey hey hey!  Grin
We're talking about BTC wallet and MobiKwik/Paytm wallet both are different(not to confuse between the both)

Yes they block all the wallets to which the fraudsters send the money, so if you are just buying BTC, you will only be sending Rupees from your mobikwik wallet to another person's wallet and that person will send you BTC to your bitcoin wallet.,
So simply buying BTC, you will not be receiving these fraud transactions into your mobikwik wallet. I don't see any reason why they should block a wallet which does not receive any transactions.

I see more of a risk whoever is selling BTC in exchange for Mobikwik or paytm transfers.

But still safer to stay aware of these types of scams, these mobikwik wallet companies are really badly regulated in the first place (I really want to question who gives them the power to operate like a bank without even the most basic security features like OTP...!!!!!)

I would say never use these companies, but sometimes they make minor things such as paying your phone bill a bit easier than credit card or net bank.

Oh I thought you meant buying Mobiwik by selling btc, in which case you would have money come into your account. To be honest you can still continue buying these things as long its a reputable trader, and there is a surety he has obtained these funds through legal ways and not from another hacked user or something.
874  Local / India / Re: BEWARE of using MOBIKWIK/PAYTM etc to trade BTC on: July 24, 2016, 03:22:05 PM
As a buyer you are most likely not affected by this particular scam method but as seller you can face problems like wallet is locked etc due to fraud.
You mentioned that they come to block all the wallets the money was sent to , so even as a buyer when you get those funds in your personal wallet, you go through the risk of losing it all if they block your wallet.

876  Local / India / Re: Drug Trafficking with Bitcoin in India on: July 24, 2016, 01:36:53 PM
Thats really bad news for india and as well as bitcoins.
We want our country india and bitcoin to be popular in a good way not like that.
Ya right always the name of india comes in something bad and now with bitcoin related its really dissapointing.
Thats not true, Bitcoin being used in drug trafficking isn't a problem only in India, but rather all over the world. Bitcoin is used in almost every other country for drug trafficking along with other illegal activities.
877  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anti-fraud system in bitcoin casino on: July 24, 2016, 09:58:54 AM
Protect against double spend, general website vulnerabilities, and systematic issues

Apart from this make sure, none of the games are giving away wrong edge than what they are supposed to. A few sites have done this in the past. Make sure the person who developed the script did not have a backdoor built in of any form.
878  Local / Buyer/ Seller Reputations (India) / Re: Indian localbitcoins scammer list on: July 24, 2016, 08:08:42 AM
Thanks for the tip, while I haven't ever traded with Paytm or Mobiwik, I have never been aware of this as a trader. Instead of posting this here, you might want to post it on the Home section of Local board for India.
879  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | WORLDWIDE live dealer casino on: July 24, 2016, 07:32:18 AM

It does not look like they frequent in this forum enough because there are questions being asked that are not getting answered from them at all.
This is a little concerning since the people who play there are their paying customers and should be treated as such and not too just be ignored.
Yes their support isn't strong enough. Even on the website when you have problems, on sending them en email you can't expect a quick reply. Usually takes more than a day, sometimes days. Thats probably the only reason it isn't ranked well, and its sad that they don't take this seriously.
880  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Now Accepting Ether ! on: July 23, 2016, 05:48:19 PM
what the "Match Odds"? can u explain to me?

This bet is on which team will win the match. Typical options are Home Team, Away Team or Draw.

Some people say that it is better to go with higher odds then to go with lower odds because you risk the same amount. Is this true ? or is it better to balance it out a bit ?
No thats not true. The risk changes when you change the odds. The games with a higher odds, or a higher payout means they are more risky, and hence the higher pay. And its the opposite for the lower odd games.
