The problem is overcrowding not speeding, this is why airplanes don't get speed limits put on them, in fact a lot of problems we're having now can point towards overcrowding the planet and as far as I'm concerned this is all just symptoms of the problem.

Why do people like you insist on using such stupid logic, I don't know about Myrkul but my point at least when it comes to this sort of thing is that all these laws are just hysterical overreactions to normally rare occurrences, in the UK we really do have strict speed limits with speed cameras set up in built up areas, does it actually prevent accidents? It's never really been proven that it has, what usually happens with people who want restrictions on things ( Drugs are actually a perfect example of this because the law has been around long enough ) is that they declare victory, go home and never mention all the failures of the system they've created. I would actually argue that it causes you to drive more dangerously because you're worrying more about the speeding than you are keeping an eye on what's going on around you, especially when you're coming up to a roundabout or something like that and they change the damn limit on you very quickly, I actually had to use hazard lights on occasion to warn some guy behind me who wasn't paying attention.

As for guns well, what I'm pissed off about in regards to that is people never look into the cause of what lead these people to grab guns and kill people in the first place, you ever thought that we are perhaps living in what I would argue one of the most stressful times in history? A lot of supposedly powerful countries are on the eve of a great depression, that's going to push people over the edge, you had stock traders committing suicide a lot during the last depression in the U.S, then there's the way the mainstream media seriously manipulate people, as you know I decided to quit the televised version at least so I could think straight and holy crap that had an effect on my stress I didn't expect.

As always though, it's America in particular that decides blaming inanimate objects is the best course of action, first blame violent video games, then blame guns, what next after you ban guns? Knives? I can tell you now that the UK is already at the stage of gun control and they also get suspicious of people carrying knives and I can tell you laws do fuck all. They may mitigate the effects for awhile but eventually people find a way to get round them if they are determined enough and in my previous schools everyone was fucking carrying knives, they were more like gang warfare zones not fucking schools.

Edit: I appreciate you making a thread elsewhere by the way to talk about this type of thing by the way Tongue

I'm using pounds because I'm British Smiley but if you notice it says even on current notes "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of" bankers stole our real money centuries ago and have it stored away claiming it is a commodity and not a currency, they've tricked everyone into thinking that the notes we carry now is 'real' cash while neglecting to mention that it has been printed over and over until it no longer reflects the amount it was originally meant to represent.

Governments and Bankers didn't steal our money through taxation, they stole it through debt and inflation and continue to do so even now.

LOL You need specialist equipment to do what I'm learning, it's not that arts and crafts stuff but I wouldn't mind posting up photos of the process perhaps, you need saws to cut the metal and a blowtorch to get the solder ( Not the electronic kind of solder either ) the ends together etc. if you want to make proper silver/gold jewellery I'm supposedly getting a blowtorch this week when it comes to the door Cheesy
8627  Other / Off-topic / Re: Christmas is finally over! on: December 26, 2012, 11:25:05 AM
Made my mum a ring and earrings from silver, I'm sending my dad and brother a copy of "How an economy grows and why it crashes" lol Tongue As I progress with the Jewellery I'll post photos up on my marketplace thread for you guys to look at actually.

Probably belongs in the marketplace or project development?
8631  Other / Off-topic / Re: My New Year's resolution is on: December 26, 2012, 04:23:06 AM
lolz It's practically already crashed and I'm buying at extreme lows already, it's like a bargain basement for high value stocks right now, I'm also in the UK, we're not quite screwed yet, it's interesting because there isn't the usual panic that there was in 2008 - 2009 though and the prices are at the same levels for a lot of stocks.
8632  Other / Off-topic / Re: My New Year's resolution is on: December 26, 2012, 04:14:32 AM
To laugh in the face of the coming stock market crash ( which may be already happening now I look at the charts ) and make lots of money.

8635  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better than mining - 600% returns yearly, scaleable on: December 26, 2012, 03:01:32 AM
Just make sure you inform the shareholders of everything otherwise you'll end up like Nefario etc. lol Tongue
8636  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better than mining - 600% returns yearly, scaleable on: December 26, 2012, 02:49:53 AM
There is always risk in investments not just from ponzi schemes, what immediately sets my alarms off is you haven't spotted them yet.
8637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reporter speaks the TRUTH! on: December 25, 2012, 05:40:11 PM
What pisses me off about occupy is they did stupid things like say "We are the 99%" they never represented me and my views, in fact, it's sad to say this but they were nothing more than a bunch of rich bashing, corporate hating communists/socialists who didn't have a clue on why the economic crisis was actually happening so of course the news media just made fun of them. Even Peter Schiff was patient enough to come along to them jokingly saying he represented the 1% and all he got for his trouble in trying to convince them to go after the federal reserve was aimless ranting though there were some clearly intelligent people there too, just a shame they didn't get much of a voice instead, it kind of reminds me of this forum actually too bad you can't mute certain people in real life.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGL-Ex1CD1c < just slightly hijacking the thread so you know what I'm on about

Good video but yes, it's silly people have to put music over that type of thing.
8638  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gun free zone on: December 25, 2012, 05:22:59 PM
Haven't you gun-loving libertarians considered that right to own a gun is a government conspiracy to get rid of free Americans?

lol Are you one of those people like the Republicans who think there is only a portion of 'real' America left in the world? lololololololollololool
8639  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [BETA] Dark Exchange: a 100% decentralized p2p exchange on: December 25, 2012, 05:17:37 PM
This projected really needs to be revived, we can't have stock exchanges going down left and right because of a few stupid scammers.
8640  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gun free zone on: December 25, 2012, 05:10:35 PM
I don't hear news about mass murder-suicide happening constantly over there so maybe the problem isn't guns, the problem is Americans.

I agree. What works for one country is not guaranteed to work for another. However I'm still not sold on which strategy - stringent gun control, no gun control, or somewhere in between -  will work best in the US.

If I were the U.S President I would have a nationwide referendum on it or get the states to have a vote but America and the UK etc. have to be the most undemocratic countries I have ever seen, every election it's a matter of which dictator you hate the least rather than just voting for someone who you like and you can't do anything to overturn stupid laws they pass either. I'm seriously considering moving to Switzerland if I can ever get the money to and I won't care if I have to learn a second language either.
