Oh crap I posted this by accident lol how?! I closed the browser!

......

Oh well and yes, that's why I was trying to close it... Okay seriously how the fuck did I post this? Someone must be trying to force me to learn code.
8723  Other / Off-topic / I'm going to try learning C++ then maybe something else on: December 19, 2012, 01:15:40 PM
Well from what I've gathered there are obviously a lot of programmers hanging around here so I thought what better place to ask about C++/OpenGL than here. Now I looked at sites like cprogramming etc. which do a decent job of explaining basic commands to you but what pisses me off is that none of these sites explain what all the brackets etc. are supposed to do so how on earth am I expected to do anything with the code on my own? All that happens when I tried to type it all by myself is I get a mass of error messages because of course I don't know what to do with all the extra stuff that isn't the commands.

So for basic C++ at least for now does anyone have a website or book they can talk to that explains every little detail in the code like a glossary? If I can get that then maybe I'll stand a chance of understanding it all, I've experimented with OpenGL and managed to make a warped cyan triangle ( lol ) clearly I need to start searching for stuff to help me understand all of this.

Don't let cunts like this guy get to you, what we need is some sort of reliable payment system, I don't think the standard is going to cut it with Bitcoin because of all the scammers.

I hated using candlestick charts for currency trading, you're very lucky your brain can take that kind of thing.
8726  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I think I'm actually going to boycott mainstream televised news on: December 19, 2012, 12:13:01 AM
lol I'm just boycotting it for my own benefit, that said, I bet it would solve a lot of the problems in the world if we just used the internet etc. for our information.
8727  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2nd batch of butterfly, btcfgpa, avalon &co will make NO PROFIT and loss their $ on: December 18, 2012, 09:52:46 PM
Bitcoins are a currency, not a something you mine out of the ground for profit.
8728  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the Armory come back if USA changes its weapon laws? on: December 18, 2012, 07:59:01 PM
I keep telling you idiots explosives are far easier to make than guns.
8729  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [Poll] Will your GPUs stop mining bitcoin as the reward havles ? on: December 18, 2012, 12:50:30 PM
After doing the some estimates in my head and using the calculators out there I don't think it's practical for anyone to seriously get into mining now, most likely the only people who will be doing it now will do it for fun rather than profit, the profit taking clearly happened years ago when Bitcoin first started and it was easy to get.

Now we'll have to do actual work for Bitcoin but I consider that a good thing because the economy will grow Cheesy

4. Suggest extreme, over-the-top, counter-productive solutions which will hurt more than help

Yep.

+1'ing just because, the thing is though, it's not just on internet forums this happens.

This is still important! If you see good examples of any of these on the forum please quote them here.

The recent gun debate bollocks, I'd link the threads but I don't think I need to because it's so easy to see.
8731  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Kids Stabbed At School In China on: December 18, 2012, 04:17:14 AM
I think I've just found a solution to this whole gun debate problem, why don't the sane and rational amongst us just have a debate by ourselves and let the frankly rather stupid anti-gun/pro-gun lobbyists insult each other constantly while we come up with a real solution? That said, I don't think there really is a correct or immediate answer to someone who is determined to kill another human being which is something people just can't seem to accept.
8732  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I think I'm actually going to boycott mainstream televised news on: December 18, 2012, 02:57:42 AM
lolz, I wonder if there's a study that shows a link between mainstream news and violent tendencies? It certainly seems to be very manipulative.
8733  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I think I'm actually going to boycott mainstream televised news on: December 18, 2012, 01:42:29 AM
lol now I've got to figure out what to do with all this free time Tongue maybe I'll finally start learning Japanese like I've been planning to for awhile now.
8734  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Kids Stabbed At School In China on: December 18, 2012, 12:46:58 AM
One thing I can't understand about the anti-gun viewpoint is why it's terrible for ordinary people to own guns but for police and soldiers who we all know are following orders from people that couldn't care less about us it's perfectly okay, what makes them so different and special?

Just remember, if you don't see the Fnords! they can't hurt you.

Oh believe me I'm barely touching it now, I do need to read the finance news and stuff every now and then just to gauge the markets price movements though, that's unavoidable really but lol I've got much nicer websites for that now.

You really were still watching the sockpuppet shows?

I was watching it originally to find out pretty much what the 'other' side was thinking, but now it's just nothing more than murder stories endlessly looping in order to scare the living daylights out of us. Realised I was being a bit of an idiot because I can just go to news articles in order to find that out and laugh at them instead of get angry.
8739  Other / Meta / Re: What about some rules ?! on: December 17, 2012, 06:28:00 PM
The idea behind Bitcoin is that you can purchase and sell things anonymously, if people don't want to give their details on a public forum that is their choice but I can see where you're coming from with the first three, keeping things more organised somehow would be nice.
8740  Other / Meta / Re: Important topics - Add to a Master Sticky in each forum - Proposal on: December 17, 2012, 06:26:52 PM
While I can understand the thinking I think it's unnecessary really, I don't think certain topics of conversation should be deemed more important, that's how you get the horror that is mainstream news, I'd rather not see the Bitcoin forum devolve into that.
