Hey everyone! Please start pointing your rigs at heavycoinpool.com! I know right now it pays lower due to the low hashrate, but the admin is SUPER active and there are VERY helpful people in the IRC. Please help support a 3rd pool and decentralize this coin!

http://Heavycoinpool.com -> the only pool where you can mine and spend some great time having chat with experienced miners. If you need to get online support to fine-tune your configs, guys will help you there almost instantly. I used to mine on 1Gh but it's quite boring there. :-)  I was only able to get best mining results chatting with guys on HeavyCoinPool and sharing precious information on mining. The Admin of that pool Cryptomind is the kindest and most supportive person in this cryptoworld (which is quite miracle as this world is full of greedy miners and scammers)

is it 280x or 290 or 290x?

It's 290 (Non-X) Sorry, forgot to write here, already mentioned in my first post though.

I'm getting 8,23Mh with my reference Sapphire R9 290 --gpu-engine 1090 -i 8 -w 256

Hmm, could you please let me know your Hash Rate after latest upgrade from 1GH miner & please share your .bat & .config setting if possible for R290 card.
I am now getting constant 9.46 Mh/s at 55-60 degrees Celsius @ 4500-4800 RPM Fan speed but I guess there is still room for improvement.

The speed improvement with new CGMiner is MASSIVE!! This are my actual stats:

R280x:  47.0C 2250RPM | 8.992M/9.034Mh/s  (previously: 6,5) -> 40% increase
R290:  60.0C 3587RPM | 10.89M/10.94Mh/s    (previously: 8,2) -> 35% increase

Got the following after doing some adjustment in config file.
Now GPU is running at 60-62 degrees but to maintain that RPM should be over 4800  Shocked

Even with scrypt mining to maintain 80-85 degrees my RPM never go above 3500 !

BTW the make is ASUS reference card with default config (no overclocking/ no tweaking, nothing)

is it 280x or 290 or 290x?

Dude, are you talking about degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius? Because if you run 90 Degrees on HVC, you must be running your GPU without fan or what? Temperatures on CGMiner are by far the lowest ones I have ever seen when mining with GPU -> 50-70 degrees. These are my rates with the latest miner from http://Heavycoinpool.com -> https://heavycoinpool.com/downloads/cgminer-3-7-3-heavycoin-v3.zip

R280x:  49.0C 2247RPM | 6.746M/6.746Mh/s
R290:   62.0C 3593RPM | 8.218M/8.223Mh/s

Well, thanks for your stats, I am certainly missing something now please look at the screen shot attached here.
Of course GPU fans are running but somehow at low RPM ! Is there any command line to increase the RPM in this modified miner ?

I have noticed silently working GPUs with this modified CGMiner for heavycoin, while for scrypt mining my GPUs sound like Jet engines at full intensity.

How warm is it your room? My temps range from 42-52 while rpm range from 1700-2200.... r9 270's 3.86MH

Umm the Avg. temp. is around 30-35 degrees when I took that screenshot, as it's mid night here. During day time, room temp. should be around 35-40.
I also checked cooling my room with A.C. yesterday at 22 degrees but it didn't make any difference in either Mh/s or GPU Core Temp.

What is the brand and model of your card exactly?

Actually to be honest I run my rig in a serverroom with air conditioning and permanent temperature cca 17 degrees Celsius. On top of that I have a 30cm cheap desk fan blowing on my cards. But even without that R280x must not generate more than 80 degrees celsia. What is your whole GGMiner config now, can you paste it here? There must be something totally wrong with your cards. Haven't you somehow overclocked or overvolted via MSI Afterburner or some other shit? I haven't touched those special tools, the only overclocking I did is via CGMiner parameter --gpu-engine. I run over 85 degrees when mining Scrypt coins, but can't be with HeavyCoin.

It's just on front page on 1GH website...

Has anybody noticed the previous GPU miner (the link given couple of days back on the middle of this thread) worked smoother compared to the one given on the front page of 1GH ?

I have 3 Rigs with 3x R9 290 cards each, the previous GPU miner was running at 90-92 Degrees with constant speed of ~8 MH/s/card while the one given on the 1GH website today runs at 94-95 Degrees with speed of less than 7MH/s/card, is that only me having this kind of difference or I am missing something ?

What setting you got for the r280x?

This is how my BAT looks inside. The first two parameters are for 280x, third is for 290. I have overclocked the cards as much as possible, seems to be running stable for more than an hour now.

Has anybody managed to get this to work in Linux?  The readme instructions describe building for Skeincoin and Maxcoin, but nothing about Heavycoin.  I've tried building and running many different ways and the best result is 100% rejects with messages like "Rejected be506c0c Diff 1/0 GPU 1  (Ntime out of range)".

When you're running the autogen script, make sure you pass it the --enable-heavy flag, in addition to any of the other flags. This will build it with heavy support, which allows you to pass the --heavy command line arg to the script.

Have you used correct port 5333 when connecting to stratum01.heavycoinpool.com? I was getting the same Rejection error with Ntime out of range when connecting to port 4333 which Heavycoinpool had mistakenly used in their instructions in GettingStarted section. They corrected it already to 5333.

nonce-pool looks great, thanks for the tip on that

Nonce might be great but HeavyCoinPool.com is way much better. Their IRC chat is very lively now, all the best information from first hand can be gained just there I swear. :-)  Btw HeavyCoinPool.com almost 400Mh now...

So lets start organizing... How do we get HVC on more exchanges? Set up bounties?

We need places to spend HVC also.

Feel free to spend in my wallet:  H6Yihuuy5hyxdziHCP8UMB62WCtrq6CY5F... just kidding. This is the problem of all ALTcoins. Almost none of them can be used for anything else but speculative trading. The war among all altcoins is very brutal now. Everybody trying to launch better coin. Only few ALT coins with best specs and community support will survive at the end. Even Litecoin can't be used almost nowhere currently comparing to "large" merchant infrastructure already built around Bitcoin. It takes some time till merchants start accepting crypto coins on large scale. I believe this is just beginning of crypto age, we need to be patient.

I just want to point out... based on the traffic I am getting from the link posted here, there are a LOT of people reading this thread and interested in this coin! Not many sellers and a ton of buyers with orders stacked up. Also, all the weak hands have pretty much been removed, so be prepared for that first serious run very soon.

Spoken like an OSCAR winning legendary DUMPSTER!

Nope.. I'm in HeavyCoin for the long run. not gonna really sell till it hits a dollar. There aren't even any profits to be taken at this price, nobody has bought lower than the current price which is backed by relatively large buy walls.

The hashing power is currently being redistributed to other smaller pools like HeavyCoinPool.com from current 1Gh monopoly. This will raise the price significantly shortly in few days. HeavyCoinPool.com increased hash power from 17Mh like 3 hours ago to 100Mh now and still increasing.

DISTRIBUTE THE POWER FRIENDS Smiley

GPU MINING IS NOW POSSIBLE ON HeavycoinPool.com!

Anybody tried to mine with GPU via CGMiner on some other pool than 1Gh? I tried to redirect now to Heavycoinpool, but I get Reject error ...(Ntime out of range)

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

It's now possible to GPU mine with CGMINER on Heavycoinpool.com. In order to save this coin from doom, redirect immediately your GPUs (and CPUs) away from 1Gh to prevent 51% attack. Redistribution of hashpower will help to increase the value of this coin quite quickly.

You have to use this address in cgminer: stratum01.heavycoinpool.com:5333

 cgminer version 3.7.3 - Started: [2014-03-18 17:17:17] - [0 days 00:10:29]

Hell yeah, except my 20Mh mining rig I have put a harness on my home computer with poor Sapphire R7 260x, intensity 6. Getting additional precious 3.2Mh. Smiley I can't believe I was squeezing cpu miner on cca 7 PCs with Intel CPU's whole last week and still mining big shit comparing to IT admins in some computer labs. :-) The GPU empire strikes back!!!
