901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 17, 2014, 02:50:50 PM
those of you who think this coin is dead are insane, most of the people who had cold feet already dumped and look at the size of the buy orders coming in. GPU mining is looking like the beginning for this coin not the end.

I would have to agree. It's still decentralized. Difficulty will adjust with the higher hashrate. Higher amounts of coins being mined will increase liquidity of the coin; it's apples to apples, and it's fair and even to anyone.

It's not like only a select few have the new miner.... everyone does. If anything; the price may rocket up because people who had no interest in mining CPU coins will now be jumping in.

This is ESPECIALLY so with LTC difficulty so high.

Right now, mining HVC is by far more profitable than LTC.

I have 4 rigs running 280x cards at 4 each... I'm up at around 85mhash on 1GH.

Just wait until people jump off LTC with cgminer and point to 1GH. Price will SKYROCKET.  Then after a huge rise in price it will adjust, perhaps crash back down... before stabilizing.  But there is going to be a HUGE boom today with this coin.

Just watch.  This miner was released EARLY.  Its only 10am EST.  California is still 7AM.  A lot of people arent even aware it's out yet.

I have personally sold most of my HVC (which sucks in hindsight), but I would not be suprised if we see the value multiply in the next 6-8 hours- 4x, 6x. 10x. Its possible.  LTC is becoming SOO difficult.

My miners are more profitable, drawing half power, and running at 40c.   This is awesome.

I'm totally with you. I spent so many sleepless nights finetuning my rig for all those scrypt coins, lastly SpainCoin and computer crashing all the time like crazy. Now I run on 55 degrees Celsia in average and PC is perfectly stable, that's so great. HVC is really a greencoin now. :-)

really eh? having 50% loss of its value b4 gpu miners come out, i just stop mining with my servers and cpu cant compete with this.
having 16ghs in one pool is insane and other pools are being useless now  Cool

It's just matter of time to adopt all other smaller pools to use CGMiner to mine with GPU. It can't be developed overnight. I'm a developer and I damn know what it means to develop piece of working software. Don't forget it took couple of days just to get the freakin' Stratum work on other pools which should have been ready before lunch! As far as I remember the dudes from 1Gh have always been the winners in gathering most of the hashpower for most of the new coins which launched recently like Max. They seem to be real professionals in what they are doing and they seem to have very strong financial background to maintain their server farms. This is pure business, the more you invest, the more you get. Small pools have small chance unfortunately. 1gh should launch a new coin, maybe it would be the first good coin after some time. Smiley

So the sooner other pools realize HVC is mined on GPU's, the better for us. Why don't we just try CGMiner on the other pools like heavycoinpool.com? I will try it tonight. If it doesn't work, we should write to pool owners to do something with that, I believe they will manage to get their versions of CGMiner. I think there is also some source code available on the net.

Yes, I think so. This is just now battle between IT admins / Botnets and GPU miners. The hashpower is just redistributing from CPU's to GPU's. HeavyCoin will be just another GPU coin, that's it. Some cool features like voting is still there so it might take some more time for this coin to die.

YEAH!!!, let's rock with 17Mh/s:

GPU 0 - 280x:  41.0C 2263RPM | 5.199M/5.282Mh/s | R:37.5% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 3
GPU 1 - 280x:  43.0C 2283RPM | 5.022M/5.203Mh/s | R:0.0% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 3
GPU 2 -  290:  45.0C 3582RPM | 6.576M/6.742Mh/s | R:50.0% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 3

Config:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

cgminer.exe --heavy --vote 400 -o stratum+tcp://hvcpool2.1gh.com:5333 -u YourWalletAddress -p x -I 3

I used this one: http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/files/cgminer-3-7-3-heavycoin-windows.zip

Running at I-7 on my 290 and getting just shy of 8mhs, can't say if it will help with your 280x though.

Increased intensity to 8 and now getting 3 more megahashes:
GPU 0 - 280x:  47.0C 2259RPM | 5.924M/5.924Mh/s | R:2.6% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 8
GPU 1 - 280x:  52.0C 2289RPM | 5.922M/5.924Mh/s | R:0.0% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 8
GPU 2 -  290:  56.0C 3595RPM | 8.213M/8.218Mh/s | R:0.7% HW:0 WU:0.0/m T:1 I: 8

Thanks for the link for new CPUMiner. I hope there isn't some virus but so far no virus was detected on the machines where I installed it. I can tell you that now my hashrate increased from 300Kh to 500Kh which is cca 70% increase!!!!!! Do you know who compiled this version and why it's that faster than the version from 1Gh which I used previously?

how will i know the hash rate of my wallet miner?

is it good or very low? is there anyway that i can increase that? i'm using an i7 4770k

I have Core i7 4770K and getting 91200 hashrate (overclocked to 4,4Ghz per core)

what is wrong with the dwarfpool?
seems working so why it is "unsupported"?

nothing wrong, supported as always.
we're just discussing with developers about the fair uniform distribution of coin to attract the potential investors.
Sure, value of coin depends on investors as well as on community, not on miners.

DwarfPool

I have tried to connect to almost ALL Helix pools yesterday and there were connection issues EVERYWHERE. Dwarf was the only with sufficient capacity apparently so I stayed there. I didn't have nerves to loose precious mining time trying to connect somewhere. So before you ask miners to connect to other pools, please check with pool owners if their junk servers and ISP connections are ready for such loads, otherwise everybody is loosing too much time being disconnected, speeds are going down, not talking about fact creating milions of accounts on every single Pool trying to same shit again.

around 409MH/s with my 7970 Cheesy 1215 gpu clock and 1900mhz memory clock :-P

I would say this coin is pretty much GPU clock related, so you can lower your memory clock as low as you can to save some energy.
For my R9 280x does not matter if i have 1500MHz or 1000MHz memory clock, the hashrate is the same.

same experience here.
Turn the memclock down as much as possible, ive heared of people running em on 150mhz without any hashrate loss!
Im not able to go under 1000Mhz though on my 280X without cgminer setting it up again to default 1500Mhz

I have decreased Memclock to 150Mhz on my 280x, seems to work. Hashrate hasn't dropped, but hasn't increased neither. What is the benefit of decreasig Memclock? The temperature stayed the same between 80-85.

Max is going to hell. MCXNOW -> 0.0008112. This is opportunity to start promoting AKC

I'm getting now 390Mh/s on MSI 280x Gaming with this cgminer config -> -I 14 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-vddc 1.15 --gpu-dyninterval 7 --gpu-memdiff 0 --shaders 2048 --lookup-gap 2

Anybody squeezing more out of 280x? Please provide better config.

Hi AKC team,

The original DEV started to develop it's own BTC/AKC exchange and posted some picture on Tweeter. Are you going to finish development on this or you will rely on having AKC listed on some existing exchanges? Here is the tweet: https://twitter.com/AntiKeiser/status/434129687711711232/photo/1. Was it some kind of OpenSource exchange system which AKC dev tried to adopt for AKC or was this development from scratch?

To all AKC followers:

have you voted today? I see the votes are increasing very slowly on Mintpal and AllCrypt. I noticed on pools cca 10 stable miners alltogether so on Mintpal we should be able to make at least cca 300 votes everyday (5 hours x 6 votes x 10 miners = 300) but total votes on sites are increasing much slower. I personally try to make at least 60 votes everyday on Mintpal.

Whoever of you already wasted couple of KiloWat mining few AKC milions, don't be lazy and go vote. Nobody else will ever make this coin valuable and exchangeable other than its community.

What is positive is that we are keeping ahead of MAX on both sites. I am clicking like insane whenever I have time...  Grin
