901  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: July 14, 2014, 06:11:27 PM
We have the following news for you today:

The campaign will be closed after the ninth payment cycle (July 21-23 payment). Feel free to remove the signature on July, 21.

Well, it's been a pleasure. I'll savor my last week with the best campaign on the forum. Smiley I hope you achieved some good exposure for FX Open. As always, last payment received. Thanks, FXO.
Sad to see this campaign closing as i've never noticed any member reporting any problem.
Can you tell us the reason? Is it not worth the ROI?

904  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: New User Looking for 2-5BTC, Have collateral on: July 14, 2014, 10:10:55 AM
You'll get better advice and better responses if you list what your collateral is.

Collateral is a copy of my credit card and bank statement to show I have over $5000 (AUD)

That is not collateral.  What good is a bank statement if you don't pay me back?

Please read (second post) what is considered collateral:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0

Ah, ok! I thought my credit card details would have been good enough with the statement but I completely understand the logic behind it.
Ok, im going to go reassess what I can give for collateral.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction vod. Im  Like i've said im very new to this and do genuinely appreciate your help

Don't give away your credit card details, someone may use it against you...really don't do it.

I figured I can trust someone with my details if they were willing to invest in me. As a new user, the only way I will be able to get anywhere is with trust.
Not on anonymous forum, it happend quite a few times already that some user have stolen the othe ones identity/funds..

I guess youre right. Ok, wel i have no collateral but thank you all for your help

Soph
You can still use psychical collateral or however it's called, but you would have to ship it by mail to either escrow or the one that will offer you the loan (gold for example or so)
905  Economy / Goods / Re: * Selling PS4 (279.99$) * on: July 14, 2014, 09:54:31 AM
LOL, hold your horses everyone. Do you guys at least know what you're purchasing? Gee.

Playstation 4's related medias are, contrary to popular belief, region locked.
First of all, the guy is offering intercontinental mail while selling a product without speaking about customs because he's probably thinking of avoiding them, and that would be illegal by itself (but everyone does it tbh), but the fact that he is selling undiscriminately to every region either means:

1. He has no idea that PS4's games/ DLC/ Online will be region-locked.
2. If, for some reason your PS4 has a problem you have to send them back to Singapore... because you do know that Sony's Support is region-locked too, right?

And the price is fishy enough to raise suspicion. Let's consider the possibility that it's illegal: if he got the PS4 by selling smoke is a thing, if he cards them, they'll probably be blacklisted so, we go from "almost certain game problems, almost no support and almost no online" to "no support and no online".

If you are willing to pay for a PS4 that probably can't be played online and with a virtually voided guarantee, though...

tl;dr: You should probably buy this ONLY if you are from Asia. Otherwise, do yourself a savor and wait until the price drops if you don't wanna pay 399 bucks for a new PS4 (a working one).

I also think he is carding the PS4!
Sockpuppet created yesterday with only one post and it's this one...shame on you dude.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block with only 1 transaction on: July 14, 2014, 09:53:44 AM
Transactions are random, sometimes it one block can have tens of transactions, while another can have maybe 0 transaction, I guess it follows the Gassuian's distribution?
Most of blocks have 100s of transactions

In my opinion market is kinda overflooded with PoS coins.

http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PS4-General/PS4-is-region-locked/td-p/21205401

No, bro. I mean downloaded games, DLC and stuff.

With an Asian PS4, PSN codes don't work if you don't buy Asian ones.
DlC's don't work if you don't buy Asian games with an Asian PSN account (try to order something in chinese LOL).
You can't have support if you don't send it in Asia.

And so on.

And I bet my ass that big games will be region-locked (MGS: Phantom Pain, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts) since Sony left the ultimate decision to developers.
It's a half-assed PS4, it's not worth even half of the retail price.
It's all just a speculation that you are assuming it MAY be truth..maybe if someone is OK with playing only offline then they should buy it test it and let us know.
911  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: July 14, 2014, 08:49:51 AM
So anyway i dont think there will be spots available since the campaign is still over 30 members
There won't be for sure, MAYBE if it gets under 30 members.

bctcoin.com still needing some updates on decimal places( or comma)?  Is it 5.126 million or 51.2 million coins?  A tad confusing.

Done! Thanks

Almost... but much better...

Uhm sorry but i still see this:
916  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: I can't loginto internet to update my Electrom wallet on: July 13, 2014, 08:25:15 PM
Try adding electum to firewall exception and/or your antivirus one.
917  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet is the best on: July 13, 2014, 08:21:42 PM
in my opinion : btc-e and blockchain
Both of them are online and one is exchange wich you should never hold your coins on and blockchain.info may be vulneable.
so what's your advice ?
which wallet is the best?
Wallets that are stored in your computer for example Armory or offline wallets.

919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Winning and Loosing money on: July 13, 2014, 08:10:48 PM
I guess you were trading on exchange with bitcoins? Well that is though job, you need some patience and you need time. Buy now and wait for at least 2 months or 20% raise, than sell .
Why sell after +20% rise and not wait till 1k+ ? This is why we can't reach higher price, cuz as soon as we get to better numbers people start dumping.
Just hold!

Dub,
Can you provide some examples on the methods of storing it?

YC

Where do you purchase one and how do you store it? Is it a backup? What's the quality of storage in terms of duration? Can it last for a long time?

That's unfortunate. What are methods are there to backup DGB besides the wallet.dat file? Are there paper wallets or secondary level of protection in case of a situation like this?

Thanks.

Awwww....fck my notebook where i had 30k DGB (i know it's small summ  Roll Eyes ) crashed few days ago and i can't get the data out, fuck.
Yep i should have used paper wallet if you store it at good place and it won't get burn/destoryed by water or so then it's maybe the best way.
You don't have to purchase it, all you have to do is print it out of your printer, it's basicaly just a QR code and it depends on you how you will store it.
I myself would seal it into plastic foil or however it's called, it's transparent and water-proof.
