There's ignoring what they're doing and then there's ignoring everything they throw at you, this is what makes me respect the internet pirates so much, it's hilarious seeing the government rip their hair out over them Cheesy

The only thing I'm seriously concerned about is American Imperialism, the economy and how fucked up our education is when you actually take a second to think about what you are taught at school if anything. Yes we do have damn good life but I hate to break it to you, it's been at the expense of others, in particular that goes for the baby boomer generation, I can't help but feel sickened by it.

LOL I don't think it needs banning, people just need to stop being so damn pretentious and patronizing about it all.
9045  Other / Off-topic / Re: Steam on: November 08, 2012, 03:51:25 PM
BWWHHAHAHAHAAA!!! Oh man if that's true the rage from the console users is going to be brilliant.
9046  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: November 08, 2012, 03:46:32 PM
Hey guys, I just thought of a brilliant idea, why don't we let children learn whatever the hell they want and form their own opinions instead of force feed them bullshit from either side? Because I've got to tell you, I've been on the receiving end of that and it's exceptionally unpleasant when morons tell you to learn something or accept it without giving any reasoning behind it.

Yeah, THERE is a sure-fire way to destroy society...
Let's produce a generation of people whose skills completely do not match societies demand.
You're reasoning from a very privileged position. Not all humans on earth can do just what they like because the whole thing would collapse.
It is not something you could do without brutal consequences.

LOL you mean to tell me you can say with a straight face that a detached and delusional political class knows better than human beings who have to work for a living what skills are in demand in the current market? Don't make me mock you, because I will.

After having to deal with the stupidity of conventional schooling yep, this is exactly what I do now and it's amazing how much I've learned in the last couple of years compared to the several years I was in school.

Very interesting! Thanks!

I think I wouldn't mind hiding a closet at Christmas, seems like the best option for me right now since I don't have my own place to hide in.
9052  Other / Off-topic / Re: Congrats Obama on: November 08, 2012, 11:34:27 AM
Don't vote, it only encourages them

^ best quote ever Cheesy

That reminds me a lot actually of when a huge number of people ( Including me actually ) voted against the AV voting system the Liberal Democrats were trying to push through in the UK, some stupid conservative came along and claimed something like it wasn't just a rejection of the AV system but a show of support for the current system. If anyone in government happens to read this ( probably not ) I fucking hate the current system in the UK, I despise it, I want direct democracy and that is the only form of Democracy I will ever accept, anything else is simply electing dictators who do whatever they want without our permission and steal all the taxes for themselves.

9054  Bitcoin / Mining / Using renewable energy to mine? on: November 08, 2012, 11:00:56 AM
I was thinking about this for awhile guys and the one thing that is clearly a problem with mining is how power hungry mining rigs are 24/7 and how people who claim to be making a profit are usually nicking electricity from someone else, why isn't there a cheap renewable energy option out there? That would definitely be free and you wouldn't be spending your profits on electricity bills.

Just a thought I had really, sure it'd be difficult for people like me in the UK who would only get wind once in awhile, but what about in other areas where you're getting tons of heat and sunlight? Couldn't you just hook up a mining rig to a solar panel somehow?

What specifically? Detail? Or shape? I'll make some changes Cheesy

Oh wait, nevermind, I just double checked my reference and I know what you're on about now.
9056  Economy / Services / Re: Drawing contest, win 5 BTC on: November 08, 2012, 10:35:54 AM
Here's a rough idea of what I have in mind, still needs more detail, let me know what you think, I can change the colour scheme if you hate the purple Cheesy

9057  Economy / Services / Re: Drawing contest, win 5 BTC on: November 08, 2012, 09:52:33 AM
OOOO! I could do this! Much better right now at inanimate objects than I am at characters, if you're still up I'll happily submit something to you, can't believe I missed it.
9058  Other / Off-topic / Re: Steam on: November 08, 2012, 09:42:54 AM
Steam is not just DRM, it is a monopoly, I've actually gvien up using Steam entirely and put it on my boycott list like Origin etc. and I don't regret it one bit. It seems like a great idea until you start having problems, then you'll start hating it like the rest of us, you don't own games anymore you just rent them for the full price which in my opinion is fucking outrageous.
9059  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now that Obama's in for 4 more... on: November 07, 2012, 09:58:36 PM
USD goes down, btc goes up. You can't explain that.

It's actually quite easy to explain but there are correct and different explanations for it:

. Obama wins the election, stupid, mainly racist people ( lets be honest here guys ) get terrified and start buying up bitcoins because they think the end of the world is coming and want to get out of the dollar - this may explain a short term rise so soon, I remember seeing on the news at one time about how Gun Stores actually benefited greatly from Obama's scary gun law threats because everyone would rush to buy guns to prepare themselves for a civil war that wouldn't happen, same logic can apply to Bitcoin

. Obama is going to continue pursuing business as usual policies of inflation and blowing up anyone that looks at his country funny which will massively increase the debt and a rise in bitcoin prices is simply a reaction to his future policies much like the way currencies sometimes react to announcements by central banks etc.

. The USD is controlled by the Federal Reserve who are the only ones that can print the bank notes, they buy up bonds and securities to maintain a certain level of volatility that speculators can deal with whereas with Bitcoin it is a deflationary de-centralized currency not really controlled by any one entity, I believe that speculating with the currency itself is actually a fairly stupid idea because of course it doesn't have the same predictability the USD has as if you decided to purchase bitcoins for speculation purposes someone could just easily dump a ton of bitcoins or purchase them to ruin your day

That's how I understand the current situation at least in my mind.
9060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Thanks USA! on: November 07, 2012, 09:14:42 PM
Yes Obama is better than Mitt Romnius Wellington III ( I think that's what Jon Stewart called him Cheesy ) but why they didn't just vote for a third party is beyond me the only good thing I think will come out of this Democratic victory is we now get to see how bad a Democratic president will be since we've already seen how terrible a Republican president would be for 8 years.

I find it hard to believe that the two party system has survived for so long.

Who knows, perhaps 60% of your country voted for Gary Johnson, but you will never know because the controlled media has everyone convinced that it's only a tiny minority? Keep people divided and morale low. Grin

I'm British Cheesy

Sorry for offending you and for underestimating your intelligence Cheesy

Tongue I'm not easily offended, I don't mind people thinking that though, makes it easier to troll them lololololol Cheesy
