There is no comparison. I would chose Land based casino all the way. But if I was betting very small amounts then it would have to be online. Land also gives you other comps like drinks and the feeling of betting in casinos, as long as you have a casino in your locality. .

Anything priced in fiat is not a safe asset.
I believe one of the core beliefs of BTC is that it is better than the fiat system we currently use and that BTC will replace fiat someday.
So if its value is derived from the fiat system then it is not safe by the Bitcoin community's own admission.
Completely agree with this thought process, as a matter of fact even altcoins come under the same thing, since their value is derived from bitcoins or USD itself, and hence cannot be considered a safe asset. |

Not at all a safe investment. The swings over the last few years should make that obvious. I have also seen bitcoin swings during any economic instability, so its clearly not safe.

I've read from a buzz source that Utah traded Trey Burke to the Wizards for a 2nd round pick. They could just add him to another trade deal for a much better option. A 2nd round pick is just way off.
From what I've read, that 2nd round pick won't be coming in until 2021. So essentially they are just trying to unload Trey Burke who doesn't seem to fit their style of play. Your not kidding, that is completely to dump the kid. 2021? thats ridiculous so I have to think they knew he was leaving anyway and not happy so just trying to get anything out of him Regardless, but that is not the main concern in the offseason since trey burke is an ordinary player and nothing special to him, the hot issue here is to see where durant gonna land. There were talks that durant might land in GSW.. that would be insaaaane! Making GSW to favs for the next season..but I hope that doesnt happen.. Its just good for the NBA entertainment wise.. Hope he goes to Lakers and they revamp the team a lil. Could be great. Just read that KD has decided to sign for Golden State Warriors!! Warriors r going to be unbeatable next season.! They just need a solid Center now.. n damn.. what a team!  |

Its almost impossible to get a good arbitrage during live betting. Say if you bet on a team to win at over 2 odds, and the team scores, now odds for opponents to win go up, over 2 mostly. You can now bet on opponents and have an arbitrage set up. But its a foolish bet to arbitrage if you were betting on the better team in the first place. You might get an opportunity to arbitrage,but not a good one.

I guess it is a little too early for the NBA futures.. Most of the major trades havent even happened yet. Its just high variance for any sportsbook, I think. Question for Cloudbet: What is the use of loyalty points other than the first deposit bonus?(which I dont think I got any). I have over 5300 in loyalty points and I dont see any use of it. |

You can always avoid or ignore those threads. Maybe the new forum can add the flexibility of hiding a topic in the list if you don't want to see it. I don't see it ending, as the repeeated threads are sometimes created by people who haven't read the previous one. You can try requesting in the Meta for a separate section for just the Gambling Websites, and one for Gambling discussion.

The only mistakes I can think of when gambling are the few times I mis-click while playing poker. One time, I accidentally folded the nuts in a big pot (micro-stakes) to an all in re-raise on the river. I don't remember the exact amount in the pot because it was so long ago, but it was only micro-stakes so nothing crazy.
Other times, I have accidentally called a raise (again, misclicking) with a hand with absolutely no chance of winning - losing, of course.
I remember one time in college, loaning a friend - or rather an acquaintance, I should say - $200 dollars so he could bet on a college football game that he was so sure of. He lost and never paid me back the money he owed me. So I guess that was a gambling mistake in a sense.
Damn mate! 200$'s seems like a big investment on an acquaintance. I understand it is hard to say no sometimes but that was really sad. I'd say if u ever get involved into similar situations..always say no. if that person is really good at sports betting.. he should have decent amount of money by himself to bet on sports. NEVER GIVE A GAMBLER YOUR MONEY! there's a good chance that he'll lose it and never give it back to you. |

What are some the more idiotic and stupid mistakes that you know you shouldn't have made but did anyway. Yes this includes other none ga!nling stuff like sending btc to the wrong address. I'm interested to find out the stupid things other people do.  Losing self-control and went chasing on small loss, which then turn into bigger loss, and in the end losing it all  advice to self: never go on chasing loss That's the best advice one can give in terms of Gambling but really hard to implement. Self Control is hard. Ive chased my losses so many times and ended up with 0 balance. I still cannot control it but for now I always withdraw the excess money I have on the gambling site. I always start with a low ot moderate bankroll and try to make it 1.5-2x in the course of a few days(depending on my br) and withdraw that..n repeat the process again. |
