921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza for ripples? on: February 22, 2013, 11:16:43 PM
How about you post an address for people to send the BTC. Then when, say, 1 BTC has been pledged, everyone send their BTC and you can place the order. People can post to say how much they've pledged and the address they would like to receive their XRP. My ripple address is:

rKcvQj8Uu2JksodanKNUyGY731a8VQaYpe

OK good idea Smiley here send BTC donations to this addy:

1H8ufWVChTBqPXwuNiJnrahqqAQzUPXBv7

and post your XRP addy  in this thread with how much u have donated, I will add u to this post then
.
When it hits 1btc i will place the order for 2 large pizzas from his local pizza place (with whatever toppings ribuck wants)

I will then divide the 10,000XRP between the donators so for 0.1btc u will get 1000 XRP

Current donations list:

Tirapon -> 0.1BTC -> rKcvQj8Uu2JksodanKNUyGY731a8VQaYpe ... (received)

obviously if no one steps up and donates to and the deal for the pizzas never goes through i will refund all the BTC
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza for ripples? on: February 22, 2013, 11:02:56 PM
Damn you idiots.

Ripple XRP isn't meant to be used for purchases this way, its made to do ripple transactions.
Sell a pizza using ripple in dammit.

yeah i know it not meant to be used this way... but fuck it y not have some fun eh?? and the OP sounded hungry and wanted to merely mimic the BTC trade and make a mark on the history books

just remember the internet was meant to be used for university professors to exchange data and information between one another... now it used mostly for porn, gambling and social networking... so let us kiddies have our fun as we were not around at the dawn of BTC but we are for ripple
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza for ripples? on: February 22, 2013, 10:43:34 PM
That's massively overvaluing XRP... but I also like the idea of getting the chance to be part of the first trade. Maybe a bunch of people could pledge some bitcoin towards it, and then one person order the pizza. Then divide out the 10,000 XRP accordingly?

I'd be willing to contribute 0.1 BTC   Smiley

yeah i like the sound of this Smiley me being in the same country as the person asking for the pizzas I would be willing to do the trade and distribute the XRP's
924  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are Coinabul still operating? on: February 22, 2013, 10:13:25 PM
Just to say Jon has been very good and quick to respond to me now that I am emailing him direct, and he has resent the bars to me as of today (or yesterday perhaps) and I should be receiving them in 7 days he says, so I will update here once I have them in my hands.

Point to note as well he did not ask me to repay for shipping, so far he has been very good at resolving my order and hats off to him... but obviously I do not have the bars yet so still could turn sour.. but i get the feeling he wants to resolve the matter as this thread shows signs of very bad business... but i think we "may" be the few... just hope you get your orders to TradeFortress
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza for ripples? on: February 22, 2013, 10:02:42 PM
... this will cost u 30K ripples though ...
My offer is 10,000 XRP for two large pizzas delivered, as per the original post. This mirrors Laszlo's 2010 offer.

yeah i hear ya... but 21million btc cap... and 40billion ripples.... let me sleep on it a while and I may still be up for it come payday...cos I just like the historic moments Cheesy
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza for ripples? on: February 22, 2013, 09:50:03 PM
I make pizzas myself... tell me u based in the UK??
Yes, do you deliver to the north-west of England?

hmmm i'm way down in the south Sad

but i kinda like the idea of being part of the first trade....

if u can wait till the 1st march, when i get paid, i'd be willing to order u 1 large pizza from ur favourite local pizza outlet (or find a special deal ... i'm expecting it to be what £12-£15??) and pay for it and get it delivered to u and then u send me the XRP's .. this will cost u 30K ripples though.. gotta make it worth my while... out of 50billion Tongue

Hi,

A friend told me that this thread is reborn, and as BBQCoin. I did not read all the thread, but as the original developper of this project, have a lot of fun !
I still have bbqco.in domain name. If you want me to change dns on it, just ask!

Have a lot of fun, and hate alt-coins destroyers Wink

PS: FOR GOD, IT'S NOT BBQ BUT BQC. YOU ARE NOT USING BARBECUES, RIGHT?

Andy "Cubox" Pilate.

Hey Andy "Cubox",

Yeah BBQcoin FTW Cheesy we gave BBQ a rebirth just in time for the summer Smiley

just to let u know Greedi (the guy who I believe 51% attacked the chain) had a massive falling out with a number of people and was basically caught snooping on peoples PM messages on the LTC forum, and has since been dropped as an admin, and from the last ICR messages is believed to have dropped off the radar for crypto currencies, so LONG LIVE BBQ Cheesy

basically yeah there have been a number of suggestions of things that would be cool to see happen with BBQ and the Qt, some mentioned in here... but lets start things off... have u got the original source code in github?? would be lovely to see it hosted there under your name if it not already. Secondly I am a developer keen to try many (some might say too many) projects so I would love to see if i can help out at all (hence the request for a github source that i could try branching and tinkering with)

I'll leave it at that for now but there was requests to see some of the features that have been implemented on RUcoin (like the chat window and sending messages in the blockchain to others) so I will be in contact for sure as I see BBQ as a great introduction to the altcoin for all n00bs (especially in testing out solo mining) and playing with crypto currencies without the worry of loosing all ur money as you said from the start this is a bit of fun and that the way everyone seems to be viewing it to atm Smiley

oh and LOL just seen ur last part saying it BQC not BBQ.... :/ hmmm i much prefer BBQ for the innuendo value Cheesy

932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: February 21, 2013, 10:13:01 PM
well i not tried rucoin so i not seen the chat interface etc... shall have to dig that out then... and yeah that would be pretty cool... i just switched my 7750 GFX card over to it... am getting 72Khash or so atm just as a spot comparison what u mining on?
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoClothing: Clothing for your Crypto needs! on: February 21, 2013, 10:01:55 PM

934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: February 21, 2013, 09:48:59 PM
Cool, so we are all one the same chain which is great news.

This is going to be such a fun coin. It does not need value with regards to the USD but can be more like a powerful and indestructible hobby coin.

Cheers for the 2000.

Move out of the way Novacoin, here comes BBQcoin.

Yeah I agree... is by far my favourite named coin Smiley and yeah i don't care about it having a $ value, is good to test solo mining on and familiarizing yourself with cryptocurrencies without loosing $$.

Was thinking would it be worth looking into patching the source code to see if we could test storing torrent files in it like has been shown can be done with namecoin here?? -->https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145278.0

or would it be best to leave the BBQ to just cook the sausages Tongue

Your most welcome on the 2000 BBQ's Smiley

... there are some people who switch on BBQcoin and let others connect to them, but u have to set up BBQ coin in a particular way to do that... believe markm explains in this thread how to do it... but basically people will turn off the client.. and there a VERY small user base... i never had more than 3 connected peers.. i on 1 atm
