my theory is this: until halving in May 2020 volume on marketplaces will decline because miners and others will hold back their BTC and plan to sell it after halving. they are speculating the price will increase after halving.

so low volume is not good for markets because then markets are easier to manipulate by big fishes.

any thoughts on this?

Yes but what whale in his right mind will sell big q-ties before the halving?

because for someone who will buy cheap before the halving price is to damn high. so he tries to bring the price down and buy cheaper back afterwards. no?

EDIT: and if less volume much better for him. i bet on boring times until May/June 2020.

I'm also a bit oldfashioned but you might have missed that metrosexual is not a thing anymore, in fact since about ten years or so.  Tongue
Has a bit of 80s touch to it, which could be cool somehow nowadays again, but... NO  Grin

EDIT: Better "weg geht er" (the guy in the pic) instead of "vegeta" LOL

my bad, sorry!  Cry

Listen guys, but some users buy goods on this forum somehow staying anonymous, or am I wrong ?

hm, never have attended to this sort of business. in the early times if ppl bought mining equipment and stuff they communicated via PGP encrypted PM's and have had revealed some sort of receiving addresses to other ppl.

EDIT: try to send theymos some of your chocolate and see how he will react. he have never attended to some sort of meeting or anything else of the early Bitcoin community activities as I know so far.  Grin

maybe a needed correction. let us become patient again. it was a wild ride so far in 2020.

929  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2020, 10:46:37 PM
Send me all the chocolate.
And you will then send a tile to each of the WO's members?
No.
Send it to me.
All.
Okay, I'm ready to send you some piece chocolates. But I wouldn't want it all to go to you alone...
And how do I send it to you? Huh  I'm from the Ukraine.

Dude it was an attempt at humour. Never mind. There's no need to send me any choccy. Just send if someone pm's you.

Guys hello!
Today is exactly 2 years since I registered at this forum ! I do not write here often, (because of my bad English) but I read very often.  During this time you've all become like family to me, and I would like to celebrate it with you.  Cheesy
Since I registered on the forum, my life has changed a lot, mainly thanks to the financial planning that I learned from you! I want to make every member of the WO`s  a small gift in the form of a chocolate bar made by my close relative from natural products.
I have not yet figured out how to send the chocolate to those who want to remain anonymous, so I ask for your help with this. Huh

No need to send chocolate just chears.
What a nice day for you, I wish such beautiful days in your life come back again and again.

Chears! Thank you for your wishes!!!  Cheesy
The chocolate issue has already been resolved, I already ordered from a relative and I have nowhere to go...  Roll Eyes

first, much congratulations to you because of your anniversary.

second, this forum serves partly also as an information board for security issues related to Bitcoin and user want to stay anonymous here because of their OPSEC. so don't expect so many users are giving information about them to you for free. sorry bro!

third, if this is an attack to OPSEC of users then go f**k yourselve.

fourth, if you are just want to be kind or polite forget about the third point.

EDIT: sorry bro, I don't speak Russian but I assume you do understand English.  Wink

^ opening?

Asia, European, US sessions. Tokio, Frankfurt/London, New York opening. in a prop trading company you have common working hours.

do you think a bot trades alone with such a high volume 24/7?

could be I found a piece of the puzzle in your history of posts:

sorry I mixed the words support and resistance. it is a strong resistance at Coinbase and needs to be negotiated soon.

we saw the reaction by the market twice yesterday. the European opening was quite normal behavior with high volume of sellers. I guess some sort of institutional or prop trading companies. I can live with that.

but the second event at the US opening was terrifying. such a behavior should not happen in markets where you want to trade. if such a spike occurs it's a sign of an illiquid, immature market.

we need to go through this Coinbase support soon!
maybe I did not post enough pictures of naked women at rocks?!?!

or it was an inside job of an exchange. if you know such levels and you know how much buyer volume including the stop levels you have on your exchange it will pays a lot for you if you try to manipulate the market.

EDIT: I bet on BitMEX or Binance which caused the dump.

EDIT2: did anyone recognized that Binance integrated an Indian P2P exchange today? --> https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1227965284717416448

I don't get it. who is selling his BTC stash a few days before halving?

EDIT: or are this just derivatives?

EDIT2: in the morning someone wrote that the $10500 level is an important Coinbase level but not on Bitstamp. afterwards the post was deleted by him. he answered mindrust and wrote that the level is known for 4 months now. could be someone from a prop trader company.

938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 13, 2020, 02:00:17 PM
sellers fight like berserk to defend the $10500 level.

EDIT: LOL, this red spike again.  Shocked
