941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 17, 2022, 05:25:41 PM
I can't remember a tournament being discredited as often and so much than this winter's World Cup. The other World Cups were organized without really big media coverage. There are, of course, all kinds of things going on with the conditions of the people in the country. But FIFA also knew that when they awarded the World Cup to Qatar. I don't think players see much of this problem back in the country. Also for their own safety it seems to me better if they stay at the hotel and complex for their own safety and mental peace. The Nations League matches start next week. We will see which teams are well attuned to each other as the last matches before the World Cup starts.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why going for 1.02 odds and below on: September 17, 2022, 05:17:09 PM
I can understand why people use this strategy. The chance of losing is minimal, let's say 1-2% per bet. So you should win every bet, but the statistics don't lie. And that means on average that you lose 1x out of 100 times. We can assume that players who bet on 1.01, bet the entire bankroll and then you lose everything. Nice idea, it might go well for a very long time, but the moment you lose once is only a matter of time. I once saw something like this with a player who was laying the 3-3 correct score at Betfair.

Manchester City achieved another easy win. And Haaland just keeps on scoring. De Bruijne was also very important today. Newcastle United's draw at home to Bournemouth is a surprise with the current selection. Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City are currently playing against each other and we already have a 2-1 score after half an hour of football. A remarkable score so far. Other than that, Manchester City's 0-1 was a goal that was scored within 1 minute. Nice for the stats. How many goals would Haaland score?

I don't remember the odds being so low to win a race like Verstappen has with 1.40
It seems to be the man to beat, but his winning streak will also come to an end. It also doesn't always have to be his own fault if he crashes or falls out. 1.40 seems very low to me, maybe you can bet on that Verstappen will not win the race. Lots of crazy things can happen. Meanwhile, Hamilton also has to wonder whether he still feels like continuing to race at Mercedes in this way.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 16, 2022, 08:45:09 PM
I do agree with the opinion that the Italian league is very changeable and that you can't expect things from certain teams. Everyone seems to be able to beat each other more and more easily. Juventus were really unbeatable a few years ago. They are now letting a lot of points win. Next week I think we will have a break because there will be 2 Nations League matches. Maybe Juventus can put that break to good use and analyze the results. It will really have to be different. Could it be the coach? The players are good enough.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 16, 2022, 08:41:37 PM
Tomorrow, I really believe Barcelona can win the game against Elche. I have no doubts about the strength of this team in Laliga this season although in the end some games ended in a bit of disappointment. Against Elche of course Barcelona will be favorites to win with a high goal deficit, but I don't expect that to be the reason why Barcelona underestimate their opponent.

I didn't expect Xavi to rest Lewandowski and Dembele in this match. They must be fit enough to be the main players in this match so that Barcelona's chances of winning are still good. But I agree that Xavi rotates some players and gives other players a chance to show what he is capable of. I would like to see Balde at full left-back in place of Alonso, it will allow Balde to improve this season.

I also expect a simple victory from Barcelona. You would think Barcelona would have a hangover from the 2-0 defeat at Bayern. On the one hand, that is also true, but they could have easily led 0-2 at halftime. They played very well and Bayern were certainly not much better in the first half. It seems that Xavi can make most players function well. It is just not entirely clear what they intend to do with Frenkie de Jong. Would he play more? Real Madrid will have a lot more trouble, they can go out with fellow city rivals Atletico.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Clarity on KYC verification & online gambling. on: September 16, 2022, 08:39:19 PM
Several threads have already been opened regarding the KYC and I think there will be a lot more talk about it. We are in 2022, so the KYC is something that seems to have become inherent in the gambling industry these days. If you are going to play at a gambling site (only crypto or regular bookmakers) then you have to prepare yourself that sooner or later there will come a time when you have to undergo a KYC. That is the situation and it is not going to change. There are still a handful of bookmakers that don't require KYC but they are getting less and less.

There is plenty of spectacle to be had at the Nottingham Forest - Fulham match. 5 goals and with fifteen minutes to go it is now 2-3. We don't see the 3-3 often, but today it could fall. I see that some matches have been cancelled. Just don't understand why. Last week's games were all cancelled, does anyone know why this week's games have been canceled again? There are some matches that have been cancelled, not all of them. It is very remarkable. I would have liked to see Chelsea - Liverpool.

I've also heard the news about Gavi. It is also an enormous talent. Barcelona clearly have a lot of confidence in him and Gavi in Barcelona as well. He will never leave Barcelona again. You never hear such things, do you? Have heard something about Neymar about 200 million but now we are already at a billion. PSG or especially Newcastle can easily afford that. Then they are also at once from the financial problems at Barcelona if a club wants to buy Gavi  Tongue
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 15, 2022, 07:20:50 PM
In principle, Barcelona is currently a smaller club than Real Madrid. And I can easily base that on the statistics. In the last 7 years, Real Madrid has won the Champions League no less than 4 times, and Barcelona not once. Those numbers say enough. The last championships were all for Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid as well. This season, the differences have become somewhat smaller, but the question is how long Barcelona can keep this up. Real Madrid were pretty consistent throughout the season last season, and Barcelona wasn't.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 14, 2022, 08:35:12 PM
Djokovic has been told that he can participate in the Australian Open in Melbourne from 2023, what could be the rationale behind that? The minister of Australia has been very determined so far and has always denied Djokovic the country. Would Djokovic be vaccinated after all? The virus will then be impossible next year. And that tournament is already in January, so that will be in a few months. I wonder what the actual reason is that they let Djokovic back in. Perhaps too much pressure from society or diplomacy from Serbia and the tennis world.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 14, 2022, 08:32:47 PM
The fact that Bayern Munich is not at the top now, of course, means nothing at all. Admittedly, they have often missed points unnecessarily, but we are not even at a quarter of the competition yet. The teams that are now at the top, they will soon be losing a lot of points and Bayern is a team that can easily win 10 times in a row and then the difference becomes very big. I would also like to see it stay that way for a while, but I think Bayern will really be a strata length ahead of number 2 in 10 games. The number 2 seems to me to be Borussia Dortmund. That is clearly the 2nd best team in Germany.

Max Verstappen is in fact already champion. Even in theory it couldn't go wrong, unless he crashed and couldn't drive for the rest of the season. Something to think about for next season. Do we want another season just like this? It all started nice and nice when Leclerc won a few races in the beginning, but after that it was over. I don't think it's because of Leclerc, but that Ferrari's car wasn't good enough. If Leclerc had driven the RedBull it would have been a lot more fun. This is a memorable season in particular for Hamilton, he has not yet won a grand prix and he has not even been allowed to dream about the world title.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 14, 2022, 08:25:40 PM
Manchester City also appears to be human. They went into halftime 0-0, but are now 0-1 behind at home against Dortmund. That's going to be a fun duel. Dortmund had good chances to qualify for the next round, and this potential win would help them immensely. PSG are 1-1 at Maccaibi Haifa, but we still have some time so I expect them to win. Rangers had a red card and Napoli seemed 0-1, but De var intervened and the goal was disallowed and so still a 0-0 score. Napoli would only come to 6 out of 2, a dream start but 4 out of 2 is not bad either.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 13, 2022, 06:42:51 PM
The difference between Manchester City and Liverpool this season is night and day. I have no explanation for Liverpool's extremely weak performance. If you're going to compare the players individually between City and Liverpool, that could well be the reason. If City has a bad day, you always have De Bruyne with a great inspiration or Haaland who is always in the right place. if things are not going well at Liverpool, then you really only have Salah who can score a goal but he can't be served. A long and difficult season. It would be nice if Arsenal could compete for the championship one day.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 13, 2022, 06:39:58 PM
A bizarre end to the Juventus match, with no less than 4 red cards at the end. Where do you still see such denouements? Great for the neural football spectator. The worst of all is that the goal (the 3-2) was wrongly disallowed. Don't they have VAR there that can check things well there? I think the VAR should have seen this, now Juventus has just been robbed of 2 important points. Juventus already had a bad/moderate start, and it has only gotten worse. I also did not expect the 1-1 of Atalanta.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: September 13, 2022, 06:38:16 PM
I expect a few things in the Bayern Munich game against Barcelona. Barcelona are in pretty good shape at the moment, maybe even better than Bayern Munich. But we have seen in the past how good Bayern Munich can play football, people will not easily forget the 8-2 from a few years ago. Now I don't think it will be 8-2, but Barcelona must be careful that it does not fall behind quickly. It makes a big difference that Lewandowsky is now part of the Barcelona team. The best player on the field I think. That could well make the difference.

We'll get to the final soon, looking forward to it. It is a pity that the times in America are so far on the other side. That will be night work. I don't know who the favorite is, according to the bookmakers it is Alcaraz, but Ruud has also put down an impressive series recently, including a place in the final at the Roland Garros tournament. I think Alcaraz is slightly favorite. Besides the tournament win and a lot of prize money, there is also the 1st place on the AATP ranking list at stake. Maybe we'll get a 5 setter. 3-0 in sets for 1 out of 2 would be very boring for the tennis lover.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 11, 2022, 08:47:07 PM
It will also be a remarkable tournament for the players. It can also never be nice to have to play in a country that has been so discredited because many human rights have been damaged in that country. that will be in the back of your mind. And in the winter months in the summer playing football will also take some getting used to for the body. They also don't have a long preparation time due to the competition in European countries (most players play there anyway). It will start in 2 months anyway, so we can slowly start counting down. I have also read that there are many rules in Qatar regarding alcohol etc. That is going to be something with all those fans and bars.

I also think that PSV will have a long and tough season in this way. Could it have something to do with the new trainer? He has no experience at all, maybe that will play a role now. I can't say if he made a weird choice. There are some injured people at PSV now. They miss Luuk de Jong enormously with his experience and scoring ability. They have no other leader. But it is still early in the season. I don't think the championship is a realistic goal for PSV either. They have to hope to become 2nd and then qualify for the CL. That just won't work season after season.
