941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 14, 2017, 11:43:27 AM
4. Ability to manage contracts from mobile wallets without running a full node
6. Oracles and datafeeds built on top of the Ethereum Virtual Machine
Nice features I will wait for this.Smart contracts from mobile wallets is realy good for all users that dont require full node to run.By the way I hope this project became successful.
With more and more internet users shifting to mobile, contract management through mobile wallet will definitely take Qtum step ahead. This will revolutionize entire crypto space and am sure many other projects will follow the suit.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Usage Reduce Demand Of Fiat? on: January 14, 2017, 11:38:22 AM
Is it correct if more people start to use Bitcoin than they will use less fiat currency than demand of fiat currency will reduce and at the same time Bitcoin value will be growing?
There is no demand of Fiat but the demand of commodity or service that can be acquired with fiat creates Fiat demand.
If fiat is totally replaced by bitcoin, then Fiat will become useless and obviously there would be no demand for it.
Value of fiat depreciate with storing it while bitcoin value appreciates with time.

I also think that your address belong to blockchain.info wallet, but as they also allow you to create multiple wallets with same email try to search your email inbox for blockchain.info wallet you may see two welcome messages from them because you may have created two wallets using same email before. Check both or all wallets you may have in blockchain.info..Good luck
Great! why this never occurred to me?Yes you are absolutely right. It belongs to blockchain.info but to a different wallet with same email.I searched the email again with "blockchain" and found another email wallet id.
I checked the wallet and yes I found my 0.025 btc Smiley
Thanks for all of you.Mobnepal please send me your btc address

What is the new date if launch? What is the purpose of running signature and other bounty campaigns when ICO has been postponed indefinitely?

Whatever the reason for price hike is,I think this has and will attract more and more people to bitcoin in India.
I am now seeing article and news published in local dailies on regular basis. This reflects interest of Indians in bitcoin and this is a good sign Smiley

Have you tried entering the address in the search box on blockchain.info address page?  Since you were able to sign[1] I'd guess your address is from the old wallet and was imported to the new one, so it should be under the imported addresses section.

Also try looking in the Archived Addresses section[2].

Edit:
And "Used Addresses"[2] section under normal wallets.  Works funny and sometimes lists addresses that you never even used for sending.

Edit2:
Just to clarify.
[1] I meant sign a message.
[2] The addresses in those 2 sections won't appear when you used the search box.
Where can I find Archived Addresses and Used Addresses option in my blockchain wallet?

Why not go back to the thread where you learned how to sign the message with that address and see if it twigs your memory as to which program or service you used to get the address.

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1292107

Yes I checked this thread and even checked my post in "Stake your address here" thread in Meta but I still believe it was a blockchain.info as I was not aware of any other wallet at that time.

949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: WINGS ★ Where DAO Unicorns Are Born! ★ {18.11.2016 - 06.01.2016} on: January 13, 2017, 12:12:30 PM
I don't fully understand how Wings work btu someone from the other thread mentioned Wing can help future ICOs to be successful and also help prevent scam, how is this possible?

In order to prevent scam, people can participate forecasting the upcoming projects, this may minimize the scams perpetuated by rouge individuals . After projects are being approved by the community that is the time the project takes the next step which launching an ICO campaign .

Wings is revolutionary because forecasting, rewards and reputation mechanism will help prevent scam. There is also "milestone" feature that required delivery from the founder & team before their next fund can be released.

It will help future ICOs because it is very easy to use and everything is already available on its platform (smart contract, tools, chatbots, community, etc). If someone want to do their ICO from scratch, it will take them at least 1 week, rather than just 10minutes on Wings. Since Wings consist of thousand of member's community around the world, those ICOs which is successful will have a very high percentage on getting its token listed on exchanges.

WINGS alpha access
The alpha is available at: https://alpha.wings.ai
The alpha devnet explorer is available at: https://alpha.wings.ai:8443
Please note that all “BTC” and “WINGS” tokens on the alpha are not “real” tokens — you will notice that your wallet will have an Ethereum address; do not send tokens like ETH or ETC to that address.

WINGS Alpha Smart Contracts review
We are publishing the WINGS Alpha smart contracts on our Github:
https://github.com/WingsDao/WingsContracts
Head over and check out them out. If you see any improvements that can be made and your pull request is approved we will award you 100 WINGS. You can also join our wings-dev channel in slack, for an invite go to https://hi.wings.ai/

Scam ICOs can also be prevented by using escrow to a large extent. Will Wings also act as escrow and how would it be better than other escrows.
If launching an ICO would be made easy with Wings,we would soon have lots of ICOs which eventually leads to diminishing interest in ICO.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official Launch Of PumpMyCoin Community on: January 13, 2017, 11:28:19 AM
When will the Pump begins? If you dont make it to 5000 users, would you still pump as schedule or postpone it to next date?

We might start before we reach 5000 member but in this case we would raise the minimum voting contribution to be more than 0.002 BTC.  the strong factor of this community will be the members count, thats why i prefer to wait till 5K members.
You are right.Anything below 5k members will not make this a success.Increasing contribution might not work for this is a new project and with high bitcoin price, not many would like to take this risk.
I hope soon we get to the target of 5k members Smiley
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 13, 2017, 11:19:59 AM
Golem is listed on Yunbi and Liqui and while one is a Chinese exchange other one has very low trade volume.
Although it looks great project but it should be listed on Poloniex or Bittrex to expand its reach.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: January 13, 2017, 11:13:56 AM
So what's the latest news? I know it's the Chinese new year and all but this thread has seemed to lose its hype and activity. Devs, good stuff in the works or are we fighting a losing battle here?
Nothing new here.I think this is this year's biggest disaster. My web wallet has still not synched, no good exchange is available to trade etc.Things were where they were Sad I hope something is done in this regard.
953  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: INDIAN ALTCOIN TRADERS on: January 12, 2017, 11:37:27 PM
I am considering to make a Indian cryptocurruncy traders group to pump the selected coins in some exchanges just on the lines of many similar pump groups that exist.
Any takers for my idea here?

I think there is no such group exists till now so a nice idea. But not sure how many would like to trade altcoin which any given day will get disappeared especially with the new coins . Ones which are established like Litecoin also now not much being traded. So are you planning to create a what's app group or something like that?
Actually the whole idea of Pump is buy a coin (mostly the one with low price) pump it's price and sell it.
I dont think it has to hold coin for long so there is no question of coin disappearing.
Good famous coins requires lots of money to pump them so we will start with coins which are not much popular.
Yes a whatsapp group would be a nice idea.
Anyone interested start posting your numbers and I will add you to whatsapp group.

Thats a nice idea but do you think pumping few 100 buy worth of altcoins would make the price rise or once you buy it there will be seller at the time when you want to sell it? It is possible that you may get the buyer or even may not depends on the volume of the coins too.
Yes that is something we need to sort out.But sometimes it Is just a hype that makes a coin in demand.Take  for example Shorty. They started Rocket ICO on yobit and their price is still above ICO price.
We can target such coins

Perfect but do you know in a week how many coins gets released and how many get next to zero value in coming time. How will you identify if say 3 coins are coming with ICO. DO you wish to invest in all the 3 or just among the 1. Because there will be no guarantee of any coin that price will always be high above ICO for long.
We can make profit with any coin even if it is dead after a week of launch.

I think this is not going to work.Indians are still very few in numbers to be able to move price.Even if we have 100 members (a whatsapp group can not accommodate more) and each one invest 0.01 btc,I doubt we can pump a coin.

Do your math buddy. With 0.01 btc by 100 people, we can get 1 btc.If you check any exchange, this amount can push up price of many coins.

The thing is that first you will be buying that coin. So you require sellers for such a coin whose future nobody knows. Secondly once you hold the coin you would like to sell it at a high price. So you will require the buyers for that coin.  Now this is where thing may not be that easy.
Absolutely. And when you make it "Indians only" group, things are going to worsen only. All your investment could sink with that coin.
Please know I am not dissuading you but I doubt if it is going to work but if you do manage to get 99 people, count me in as 100th Smiley

Why is price for Equibit so high and starts with $2? Normally the price is calculated by money collected during ICO to number of tokens issued?
955  Economy / Web Wallets / Help me find my online wallet on: January 12, 2017, 10:59:10 PM
This may sound ridiculous to you but I have a very stupid request here.
Recently I joined a signature campaign and during applying for it I picked up bitcoin address which I had in my profile.
I assumed that address belongs to blockchain.info web wallet so after I got payment I checked my blockchain.info account but to my shocked that address doesn't belongs to my blockchain wallet.
Now I don't remember having signed up for any other online wallet.
The address is 1HWo8p2cCguVZvLMkDLDartovS3E19zM2V
Can anyone find me which wallet it belongs to?and if it is from blockchain, why can't I find it?
I searched the forum and found that I have also staked this address when I was a newbie.
Anyone help me find this will be gifted 0.001 btc from me as a token of appreciation Smiley

I suggest you try Bittrex or Yobit ICO.I have seen some of good projects failed to collect funds through crowdsale have opt for exchange ICO.You can promote your project here with this ANN thread or Signature campaign during ICO
