Yes. Several wallets in NovaExchange are affected due to storage switch failure. It is expected to be resolved soon. So we just have to wait for them to fix it. i don't understand why we looking for registration date when we making promo at other sites and even youtube videos. It is a filter, a great wall. This wall is one way of preventing the cheaters to create new accounts. Greed drives these cheaters to want more. So this filter is a must to promote fairness within the community. So I'm sorry for those who have registered here in bitcointalk after July 12th this year, who are honest and who just found out about DeepOnions. You are affected by this filter because the devs have no choice but to build this wall to keep the cheaters from entering. One account is enough for one person with a member and above ranks in BCT. |

Ok just fumbled my way in here and now i'm interested also. But the sign up for airdrop process is a tad confusing.
Dev get noticed about to much information on ANN with this actual shape / typo. Is better to read 2 times the main ANN i think  u can easy miss some information. Ok so I just read through everything and it seems that I will never be eligible to participate in this great coin because I have only been into mining for about two months, I started mining ETH and then some SIGT but I didn't feel I had anything to add to the community until a couple of weeks ago, when I made my account finally. I like to help and not be a burden and I feel it has worked against me in this instance. Instead of creating an account and asking newbie question I figured things out for myself by reading the information that is posted over and over and over and did not create my account until I had something useful to say. So is there anyway for me to participate in this or should I forget about this coin altogether? It's good to know that you're interested with this project. Your help will be very much appreciated by the dev team. I'm not a part of the dev team, but I see that they reward anyone who helps them. We have a supporter here who is not yet eligible for the airdrop as he is committed to another project. Nevertheless, he has helped the community with any help he's at best to offer us. It's not really that confusing. Read the OP first before you say that. Try not to complicate it but there are rules to follow. In the rules however, newbies in BCT cannot join the airdrops. Even if already a jr member or member by now, cannot qualify to join if they registered here in BCT after July 12th, 2017. If you can, please review the OP. There are times when stakes are not accepted. It is also known as an “orphan”. It was generated but not accepted. It is just a normal occurrence in staking/minting. This happens because several wallets are competing for the same block. And so to have the best chance of succeeding in staking you should have a reliable network connection. Just keep your wallet open 24/7 because it will retry or re-stake automatically, and will be confirmed/accepted by the network. |

The network weighs too much against our weight.
The chances on receiving staking rewards is now by luck.
So I'm still holding on because sooner than I think I might get lucky somehow.

I saw this intriguing story on a guy who got free NEM when it was launched in 2014 and sold them then bought back at 20 times more price and be very happy, lol. Hope this will happen to ONION. I am not hyping here, just saw this and wanted to share with you. Use your own judgement on DeepOnion I'm new as well but the way I understand it is: an air drop is free coin given out by the developers of a coin as a mean of releasing it too as many people as possible before it goes on an exchange or is released to the general public through mining or other means. They do this to spread awareness of the coin and their concept. It varies from coin to coin. Someone else may have a better answer.
That's a pretty good explanation. In some cases established coins may do an airdrop as well (such as the recent Byteball and Stellar airdrops) as part of their publicity campaign. It's a nice bonus when you can get free coins if you have the patiences to HODL them. Here's an example: When NEM (New Economy Movement) launched in 2014 I signed up for an initial distribution and got 10,000 free NEM. Being the short-sighted bloke that I am, I noticed that it was already trading on Poloniex and that I could get a whole 50 cents for them! Whee! So I promptly sold them and patted myself on the back for the free pocket change. I mean, with a weird name like that how could it ever catch on? Fast-forward to 2016 and one day I noticed that NEM had clawed its way onto the Top 100 chart at Coinmarketcap. Hmm. My 10,000 NEM were now worth $10. Did I dare buy back in and hope for further gains, or would I just wind up wiping out that 50 cent profit by losing a couple bucks if it deflated? After studying it a little more, I bought my 10,000 NEM back. Then late this spring I sold them again for over $2,000. So I missed on the rise from 50 cents to $10, but thankfully I got to ride the rest of the wave. Let that be a lesson in HODLING! The story is inspiring. And what do we wish? I do not hate Yobit, I just have less trust with them.

Edit: I see it's also listed at NovaExchange: Though Nova is a very good exchange, I still don't trust this coin as dev do not make it clear what's he gonna do with the 80% premine. If he dumps it, it's gonna be bad for the buyers.

Today I did a little bit better in staking.. about 3 $ONIONS. My weight is too small, my bag can't compete.
i staking is 0 onions , i using mobile to online and i busy to work , i just open my wallet to receive onion and sync it , i will stacking after 40th rounds end . because amount onion we get it less and less. For 3$ a day, assume onion=$, then you need, 1095 coins. Staking less for me is not a profit. Having both pos and pow for a coin is intrresting. Thay said with pos you will get near 10% a year. Is it constant over time or more staking will reduce this value? Hi Kissmarx, It has been quite for a few months, but the blockchain is running as designed both on the POS side and the POW side. Recently one of our partner sites POSwallet.com has been transitioning from 1.0 to 2.0. In this transition they have disabled the Exchange, and are now recommending users Remove their balances from the HOT wallets. Once POSwallet.com 2.0 is released then coins will be able to be put back into the POSW eco-system. We are still waiting for confirmation that CryptoBuck will be officially part of this eco-system they are designing. Will update once we hear progress. Users with BUK on poswallet.com can easily move them to https://www.novaexchange.com/market/BTC_buk2/ wallet in the time being or download the QT client https://github.com/CryptoBuck/CryptoBuck2/releases and take advantage of a very generous Staking algorithm.
