What a fun filled day yesterday was! It was like pouring water on an ant hill (The Ants being the trolls in this thread and surprisingly other threads as well!) What do you mean? I bought this account today.  I think btceic made ~13 posts yesterday just about me. There was mass panic in the KnC Thread about why 8 or so pages were missing for a good 3 hours. I'd say operation troll the trolls was highly successful. Oh and the best part of it is I have Atomic wasting a ton of his time trying to bring back the posts from the dead. PS: I Voted Grapefruit on the poll of yours Eric, we actually should grab lunch or maybe jump on skype sometime. You literally live ~4 hours from me. It would be interesting to see how you act/are off the forums. |

I would be willing to give up my two weeks worth of dividends if Lab_Rat included his 5% management fee in it as well for those two weeks.
From what I'm gathering "Every Bitcoin Counts". I think this would show a lot of good faith towards shareholders.
That being said, we would be looking at around ~200 Coins from two weeks worth of dividends to be reinvested back into LRM.
In all honesty, that's NOT that much. Would ~$26,000 really get that much of a better deal with Bitfury?

Speculating any kind of the same percentage increase after 10PH is likely going to be wrong
That's why it's hard to use those mining calculators accurately.
We will likely hit 8-10PH come beginning of January, from that point on you won't see but a 3-4PH/Month increase Max. Each month the % increase will go down.

Im a tad confused. I know that we are getting 75 percent of the coins. i was under the impression that the 25 percent went to operational expenses. I keep hearing that 25 percent is reinvested. so, could someone explain how it actually works? I just need some clarification....
25% is operational expenses and the remainder of that 25% goes towards reinvestment and management fees. Lab, you say 25 is operation expenses and the remainder of that 25 percent goes towards reinvestment and fees. so, does that mean 50 percent is taken out 25 for fees and 25 for reinvestment? Im a tad slow this morning, lol From what I get from what your saying, you take 25 percent to pay for expenses, then the remainder of that 25 percent you take 25 percent of that for expansion. Could you give us a breakdown if that is the case? Hey BigAsic, It goes like this 25% gets taken out to pay for Expenses. So 25% - Expenses = Remainder Whatever is in the Remainder goes towards Reinvestment and Management Fees. We do not know what percentage of the remainder goes towards either of those. While I don't believe we have a right to see a "Balance Sheet", I think it would promote honesty and good will towards shareholders if LabRat made a Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly Balance sheet to show what expenses were paid, what management fees were paid, and what reinvestments have collect. Transparency is the key to maintaining shareholder confidence and I believe Lab is off to a good start so far. |

I think price will be low till each share hashing power goes beyond atleast 100+ Mh/S as there are some other bonds/shares that are cheaper than LRM & provide more Mh/s per share compared to LRM, but LRM has great potential once each bond starts to go beyond 200 Mh/S per share..  The only issue is that it looks like were going to go from ~75MH/s per share straight up to at least 300+... I hope everyone is ok with that? I have a lot of news on the way, hopefully some today, but some news is going to have to wait a little while to release. is your estimated 300+ from a partial shipment of bitfury or are you still receiving other ASIC hardware? |

There is also the TerraMiner IV retailing for $5999 in the January batch. That makes it the first mining equipment to break the $3 per Gigahash barrier!
Both products feature CoinTerra's 500 GH/s GoldStrike1 chip, which is already the fastest chip announced in the Bitcoin market. Physical Design results for GoldStrike1 show that some of these chips can perform as high as 700 Gh/s. There is a possibility that at the time of delivery customers may be offered an option to upgrade their TerraMiner for a small fee, further lowering the cost per Gigahash.

I think that Labrat bought 3 minirigs from BFL at 22k each after the IPO finished and he said he would look at converting them to Monarchs. However he has not commented since that time if he actually did buy monarchs or not.
I would not be happy for him to invest any more in BFL especially now that any order made would be a Feb or later delivery.
It would be good to have a breakdown of exactly what has been ordered and from whom. Then we could make an educated guess on the future returns.
I would love for LR to get a refund on the Monarch orders and apply that all towards BitFury hardware instead. Would you rather have Monarchs in February or Bitfury in October? Sure, Monarchs are retailing at $8/GH and BitFury at $20/GH... but difficulty is the equalizer here... just consider the 70% increase per month, and more hardware coming out soon. Sitting and waiting for network gridlock might be the best bet. You might be able to buy a 2 TH miner for $2,000 next spring. I also agree with this but I highly doubt a refund can be gotten from BFL hah. That being said if KnC Delivers at the end of this month like they said they would, their november units are $5,000 for 500GH (Yes one of their employees recently confirmed they will be 500GH units not 400GH) If you buy 10 Units you get 1 Free, If you buy 25 Units I think you get into Bulk Pricing as well as the Free Units making them less than $9/GH with delivery in mid November. Hashfast has their second batch at $8.75/each for the very end of November. We will find out in less than 20 days if KnC can pull it off, Hashfast will have to wait for over another month I believe |

Well if he's counting on buying a significant number of BFL Monarchs then you can count me out. If I had to bet on someone I'd be going CoinTerra all the way, but hey, that's just my opinion.
It's a shame that this new deal seems to be having this effect on the market, but as you say, it should last too long. It's not an easy optimisation problem, judging whether to go big on BitFurt that you know will arrive on time, on spec and which you're at the start of the line for, or to go for CoinTerra which will give the efficiency to mine into the furute, or how to split between the two. Once I have a bit more time on my hands I will try to formulate it as an actual maths problem and solve it for several sets of initial assumptions, but that won't be for a few weeks yet I'm afraid.
I know he does have some BFL Monarchs ordered but only because he had a coupon with them and got a good deal even if they are in february. Lab_Rat doesn't want to take chances with the BTC he has raised he would rather have guaranteed hashrate that might be considered a little expensive than pre-order something that can be delayed which is why he didn't order many monarchs and is focusing on Bitfury. |

I would speculate the price slump is people cashing out shares they have acquired from hardware. They can turn a quick profit and still have plenty of shares left to get dividends from later.
Lets hope the next dividend is substantial enough to bring the price back up.
Once the bitfury deal is done and Lab_Rat announces precise dates on Hardware Arrival and how much. This is when you will see the Market push the share price to where it should be. |

Well, this seems to be the first time there's been what I would consider a meaningful slump in share prices (as opposed to the anomalies caused by low trade volume before). Any ideas on what's causing this anyone?
It was announced that Lab_Rat would give % off for bulk shares based on Market Price. I imagine someone interested in doing this has a very good reason to sell all the way down to 0.16, making that the market price and then buying in bulk from Lab_Rat at %10-15 less (.136 - .144) making money on selling and buying direct from Lab_Rat. Thankfully this can only be done for a short period of time at which the market will stabilize once Lab_Rat takes this offer off the table. |
