Can anyone help me with a Ubuntu Linux build? I downloaded source and built from source. Now when I run blackcond it says "Error loading wallet.dat: Wallet corrupted". Below is the log file. Hi publicjud, try running the demon again -- there's a known bug which prevents BC from running at first launch. Oh yes I remember ... would be great if this could be fixed now with the increasing interest of new investors. Also a workaround (i.e. simply create wallet twice on very first start) would suffice for now. Thanks for quick response. I tried launching again. Still says "error loading wallet.dat: wallet corrupted" How do I create wallet twice? Any other options I can try? this is Ubuntu server. Since you have no money in that wallet yet (right?) you can safely delete ~/.blackcoin/wallet.dat (or the whole folder) There is no money in the wallet, first time running. Brand new Ubuntu install. I deleted the wallet.dat file and it gives the same error. I delete the whole folder and same error. Tbh I first started the qt wallet (twice after initial crash) and not the demon. Can you make an X-forward and give that a try? I can try building qt. Do I need X11 or something? |

I noticed that Mac version is still 1.5. It looks like an older wallet version (current is v1.0.3), even though I downloaded directly from git ( https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin) which should have the latest. Any help would be appreciated. That's strange ... I just installed blackcoind on Ubuntu last night and it flew through the block update. I would say remove your wallet directory and restart the server. I had trouble with Ubuntu instal too. What version of Ubuntu did you use mellomike, and how did you go about installing? |

i understand thats its a far fetched idea and there are plenty of sceptics but i have spoken to the devs and they say its a good idea and if people are really worried that these coins wont be lost then i said i would send the coins to them and they can get rid of them.
im not saying mine all of the time. im not saying mine at all even, but if your rig went down and you had no idea it would be creating value to a coin that hopefully you are all invested in. its just a handy way to increase value blackcoin. please its just a service and a way to increase the value of these coins.
sounds retarded, crazy, wont work.... your probably right but i believe in this coin. this coin will get to the top without this im sure. the new tech being implemented on the blackcoin multi pool will create this eventually but at a slower rate. its just something that ive seen work on insanity coin.

You have this problem because you config file and you particle.conf not convergent . Do like i write and you will don't stuck on "starting particled"

this is purely just a service thats available for the coin
its no dumber than insanitycoin or (wolf) and it works very well for them

About multipool - if I understood right, there is intention to setup a sha256 pool also, which then mines sha-coins converting them to BC?
If so, then that is good news, as I have tiny amount of asic-power available for getting more BC.

I woke up and was shocked to find the price go down by 70% of what I bought it but I holding onto the coins because I don't want to make such a heavy loss on them. Do you all think it will go up again to the 5k mar or as that just the grand pump and dump of the coin by all the whales?
It will recover. Yesterday was whales pumping; look at the nice smooth organic growth before yesterdays zigzagathon on the charts. BC has great long term prospects and I am holding as are all of my friends. Where can I find good BC charts? |
