I beg to differ. I was posting her last month about being patient and having confidence in holding strong. The result is I lost my ass. I'm not rich from it. Lucky for me I have been benefiting from all of the recent volatility and so my account is recovering. I believe greatly in Factom and I'll be back in it someday. Today however is Bitcoin's time. You just can't ignore what's going on there. It wipes out anything else. Some people think it has just begun as well. Time will tell. Safest bet is to sit out and preserve capital. Please it's nothing more than a pump, people act as if Bitcoin can't be pumped, it can be pumped just the same. No real adoption, still no one cares about Bitcoin, same pump happened during the halvening and there down you go, Bitcoin won't be at 1k anytime soon unless there are some actual adoption from the mainstream, a major economic collapse or an amazing technical development (and even then I doubt that would move the price as much). People know how unstable price still is, a hack to a unknown Honk Kong exchange could bring the price to its knees in a second. This happened in 2016 not 2013... I don't hate Bitcoin, it's truly the king of crypto and a disruptive technology, there's no doubt about it but it's still far from making any impact in the real world, maybe in 3-5 more years (I'm still not sure how regular people would use it, we just hoard and hold it?). I got 4,549.67 ICN for 1 BTC which was locked at 605.89 USD So 605.89 / 4,549.67 = 0,1331722960126778 USD for 1 ICN if you look price on Kraken it is 0.000183 BTC for 1 ICN So 0.000183 * 728.68 USD = 0,13334844 USD for 1 ICN In my calculation current price is slightly higher than ICO price  Not if you bought in with BTC, like most people did. If you bought ICN with BTC you're 10% below ICO price. That is because BTC rose in value. It has nothing to do with ICN value. No, don't do that, Btc is the global denominator. Not the $. So, if anyone from the ICN team is listening, drop everything you're doing, pump this shit to $80-100m to get noticed and be done with, cause right now crap like zcash,stratis and antshares are eating our meal. Get serious and start pumping. You have 4 days left. Zcash is a joke but Stratis and Antshares are legit projects that Iconomi should invest in, very undervalued at the moment if you think about it. If Stratis deliver the NBitcoin project that will add a lot of value to Bitcoin and it will get noticed, that's why it keeps rising along BTC, perhaps one of the only projects that follows every spike. Antshares is still under development but anything chinese you know it can get traction fast and the team is very experience with plenty of connections in the industry. This is the first 100% chinese project and very ambitious, it can even become more used than Ethereum, at least in China. As for Iconomi, the price is hurting right now also because of ETH downtrend, every Ethereum asset and token is down and until there are some actual news or progress it will remain around $10-11 per ETH. So many amazing news and headlines have come out, everyone completely ignores them and turns to GrossBit for sanctity. WTF lol. Just because you guys whine like little kids that the Factom team doesnt have time nor patience for a stupid forum post and throw tantrums and dumps for losses. You idiots. Factom money comes from the big name investors and constracts they are trying to sign in the real world. This day trading is the rich taking advantage of the plebs. We are about to see a huge surge in Factoid prices so be ready, buy and hold. Dont mess with the margins either because thats where they will burn you. Just buy and hold. Big things are minutes away at all times.
+1. This is exactly the game in a nutshell. I've only be investing/trading seriously for about a year but the past couple months have been a crash course in market dynamics, manipulation, and the dead-eyed depravity some folks will go through to make money off others. And no, I don't believe whoever's behind fudking is dumb. For their own sake I wish that were the case, but the reality is he knows all too well what he's doing. Guys just set a target price, day trading is not for everyone especially crypto (and margin trading in crypto is just adding more fire). For me anything around $2 is a buy, anything under 300-400k is safe too but it depends on BTC price. If Factom continues to deliver and M2/Exodus wallet is delivered we can see prices well above $5 before the end of the year, that's the bottom line. Long term I would definitely sell a part of my stake which is not much at all at a future bubble based on companies signing long term especially if deflation plays a part. I expect we could reach $30-50 or even $100. If Factom becomes the new IBM or even Oracle as Draper said, then we are all rich not only because of Factom but because of crypto projects taking over the world basically. |

Mal, as a prominent non-shitposter in this thread, I encourage you to be more responsible with the Poloniex speculation/hype. Here are the absolute facts: 1. Poloniex is a Delaware Corporation -- a U.S. company. 2. Poloniex takes regulatory compliance very seriously. See for example New Hampshire action in quick response to new law. 3. ICN are, beyond doubt, a security which is currently not registered with the SEC. ICN are not in any way legal to advertise or sell in the United States. SEC could force Poloniex to shutdown, or put the hurt on them, for listing unregulated securities. Kraken seems willing to chance it for some reason. The idea that we'll suddenly see a "ICN now trading on Poloniex!" announcement is pure insanity. Iconomi put the cart before the horse by offering securities to U.S. buyers before they were registered in the U.S. Now I presume they're paying expensive NY lawyers in an attempt to retcon the whole deal and make it kosher with the SEC. We will see/hear administrative shit with the SEC, and a firm announcement of ICN's legal status in the U.S., before we see ICN listed on Poloniex, if ever. Anybody thinking that ICN will be on Poloniex "soon" or that the announcement will come out of the blue is delusional. Please do your part to contain the idiocy that infests this thread. You may have a point but really, they list ZEC and ETC in a second...they should be under investigation already but not because of Iconomi. And I think you are confusing ICN tokens with funds since basically buying tokens should not be that different than buying Augur/REP for example (and gambling is illegal in the US too...). Today NBA Season is very difficult to predict. Only Cleveland Cavalier for me is the team easy to predict. Like they will be the championship this 2016-17 NBA Season Does your prediction includes the idea of injuries? Because the Cavaliers has a lot of injury prone players, and one injured player could mean a difference whether you win or lose in a game, just like what happened to them during the Finals of 14-15 when both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were out due to injury Lebron has to carry all the team on his back. Well a team's success really depends on the players and teamwork. well I semi agree lol. I think the only thing you can predict is the Cavs will beat the East and make it in the Finals. I'm still not willing to give up on the warriors just yet. Well, if you will ask me, I would put more money on the cavaliers to win in the east.. They have improve this year and they have a good record at the start of the season, (2-0) is a good start for king James and I believe it's free money as the journey is very easy for them. Quite true. Seems like Cavaliers will dominate again in the NBA.. but don't disregard the west teams. Like Kawhi Leonard the rest of the Spurs.. dominated the game against GSW and Leonard really stands out seems training with Legendary Kobe Bryant pays it off. Please, the only injury that will devastate the Cavs team is a LBJ one. They went to the finals and actually put up a good fight without Love & Irving (with a much weaker team). On the other hand, the Warriors can't really sustain a injury to either Durant or Curry (and those are very injury prone players too, perhaps even more than Irving and Love) since the rest of the team is a joke compared to last season, they have 0 depth. |

Honestly, BTC made more powerful rallies than this even in recent months (halvening) and a lot of promising alts followed it. This is absolutely nonsense in my opinion since there are actually no real news or adoption, Bitcoin can also be manipulated and pumped just like any other altcoin, 10b marketcap is nothing.
I honestly think this is all manipulation to shake all alts and buy back cheaper. The price in terms of BTC can adjust of course but now we are seeing massive selloff in terms of fiat valuation and that doesn't make much sense to me. I understand people panicking and trying to catch the Bitcoin train but it's not as if Bitcoin is already worth $3-4k to justify that, it barely moved!

Did you expect that the chicago bulls will be the dominant team that happens early today? The hype was all about peoplesaying that it would be an easy win against bulls.
It was the Bulls home court and their opponents (the Boston Celtics) are coming off a win just yesterday. So the odds of winning for the Bulls were higher. Dwayne Wade play well in his first game back in his home town while Jimmy Butler was just being Jimmy Butler. This can't be a good gauge of how well they are going to perform all season because they played against a tired team. Yes it was just a game (at home) but the Bulls looked pretty good especially since they have two new players in their lineup which is harder to absorb. The Celtics added Horford to an already established system so in paper it would be much easier. Atlanta was in a similar situation with Howard but looked much better (plus Howard had a monster game with +20 rebounds). I still don't think any of these teams will be a true rival to Cleveland, we'll see what happens with Indiana, I really like them and Miles Turner could be a beast this season. |

I really don't see anything good about Houston future, similar to OKC sadly, they will be lottery bounded. |

While New York Knicks showed good signals in first half things changed quickly in 3rd qurter. Kyrie Irving had a great 3rd quarter and dominated the game. After Cavs made 20+ points difference they rest LeBron and other starting lineup. New York will do better next time. Portland's win also not surprising, Damian Lillard dominated the whole game. San Antonio made a surprise for most but I actually expected this performance.
Actually Im not surprised with the Spurs as they are really like that since then. My most favorite part is when Simmons blocked Curry behind. That was bringing back the memories of Andre Igoudala being blocked by Lebron behind lol. The bench of Spurs really did great. Since superteam was formed most of the bench players from Warriors has gotten minimized their playing time. Or the two blocks from Lebron to Curry hehe. The Warriors losing didn't surprise me one bit but the score was a embarrassing, especially at home. Like many of us said earlier on, the Warriors can put an all star lineup on the court but they don't have a full team. Not even a team right now, let alone a full squad. They neglected their bench and overlooked how important many role players were in their system (Ezeli, Barnes, Barbosa, Bogut...). They have a lot of work to do. Cleveland on the other hand seemed to be in training camp mode and this could continue all year, the team has a lot of depth now with Dunleavy and new additions that didn't made an impact yet like Felder and McRae. Irving, Love & Lebron are playing with such confidence now after the title that it will be hard to beat them. They can only lose if they get too cocky. |
