961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: September 25, 2023, 03:38:47 PM
Quote from: Mst.Wangdan$
I learned something new today. I started bitcoin trading with 100 $ I made 10$ from here and I lost 11$ gambling with 100$ now I don't call gambling bad because I don't understand and I don't have patience to play the game and past I easily from bitcoin made 10$ profit now which one should i choose you say i know a man need bitcoins in future but still a man can be addicted to gambling and to all of you i want to say none of you should be addicted to anything and not to gambling and you are more Trade Bitcoin and see your future shine.

Since you have made such amount of money from your Bitcoin investment with small amount of money, I think it will make you to understand better than Bitcoin is more reliable and profitable than gambling because if you purchase Bitcoin when the price is low in the market and hold for the price to increase higher your future will definitely shine. But for gambling, many people has loss their life and properties because they don't gamble with sense like the way some people gamble with sense in the forum which is the best way not to be addicted in gambling. Do you know, if you increase your capital from $100 to $500 your income will increase in the future, but you need to apply long term holding because there is no way the price of Bitcoin will not increase through out a year.
Both bitcoin investment and gambling has its own risk. But with gambling ofcourse it has a higher risk of losing ‘coz things happen in an instant and it depends solely on your fate as a gambler. With Bitcoin, as we all know, analysis work which lessens the risk. Bitcoin and other cryptos’ market value are volatile and affected by many factors. But if it is with higher chance of winning, investment would be better. You’d only lose from your Bitcoin investment once you choose to sell early while with gambling; if you’re unlucky then you may not expect for a better outcome than losing. These Two things are different from one another but the thing that connects these to is risk.
Comparing Bitcoin to gambling doesn't feel right to a lot of people. From what you've shared, it sounds like you've found more potential in Bitcoin trading and that it's been more profitable for you than gambling. If you're feeling the Bitcoin vibe, keep learning and go with it. Maybe you're on your way to being a crypto mogul lol
It is just fine for me than to push oneself with a scheme he often lose. This might also help those people who are frustrated with their crypto journey in particular with what should be their focus to earn from this industry. Some would still prefer gambling and that’s just fine, likewise with Bitcoin investment.

963  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 24, 2023, 04:36:40 PM
The past few years after COVID-19 have been the absolute worst; everything keeps rising—petrol, daily groceries, electricity, housing—to the point where you're barely making ends meet. Just to imagine, I've been looking for an apartment for over 6 months and haven't found anything yet. Not only is there a very limited supply, but those available are either too expensive, poor, too small, or everything combined. Thus, this is creating a huge feeling of uncertainty, as time is running out and I need to get settled down. Renting outside of town in the nearby villages isn't ideal either, because petrol is way too expensive.

I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same, but this uncertainty with the increasing living costs and the ongoing rat race is causing me excessive stress. On top of that, moving out of the country doesn't seem ideal either, because most European cities are also suffering similar conditions, along with an extensive immigrant crisis (see France, Italy, Germany, and the UK). I'd be interested in remote working, but the economics field I've studied at university isn't in high demand for remote working, which often recruits IT workers and generally fields that require hands-on experience. As soon as I'm settled down, I'm considering taking up a data analysis course and finishing my master's degree in order to look for more opportunities abroad.

I don't know, but each year seems progressively worse. It wasn't that bad before COVID-19; now it's the ultimate worst I've seen, and it's about to deteriorate even further. Thankfully, this forum has been a blessing and probably the only thing giving me hope, as it has resulted in me making a decent sum of money in the process. I'm yet to start looking for a job, but salaries are relatively low, despite the increased cost of living. To make matters worse, excessive weather conditions due to climate change are happening way more often now, causing floods and wildfires and destroying everything in their path. See Libya, Greece, Italy, Spain, and many more examples.

Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?

Handling it through a solution. I am always seeking ways to earn more in order to cope up with vast increase of daily needs. Well yes, government of countries should be doing their part to resolve the problem but that would take huge amount of time so I am just creating adjustments. As you’ve mentioned not only our countries are struggling but the majority. It is valid to stress with such concern ‘coz it is something being tackled on a daily basis. There are many ways to earn from this industry such as providing services or joining reward contests. We should also help ourselves with this issue ‘coz majority are highly affected by it. Choosing to stay with the problem and to blame people why such thing happened, won’t do good to us. Since such issue has been present for years, the only thing we should does to cope ip little by little”

Bitcoin blowup: Domestic dispute turns crypto catastrophe with six-hour standoff in central Thailand
Quote
A heated dispute over Bitcoin investment loss led to a domestic violence incident that escalated into a six-hour standoff with the police. The 35 year old husband, Kritsada, shot his wife and barricaded himself in their home in Uthai district, Ayutthaya province, before eventually surrendering to the authorities.

I just found a news story and tried to find more content related to this story, and this is all I know about this story. It makes me imagine stories that I have encountered before in the investment environment, where losses occur and make people lose their original reason for earning money, which is also to bring home and build a better family life. I don't want to discuss the reasons for investment failure here, but from the story associated with bitcoin, it will also continue to happen, but in a different form.

Bitcoin is getting more and more popular, and it is labeled with many different stories. I can see many people blaming Bitcoin as the cause of all the problems, but clearly the main problem is people causing them related to Bitcoin.

I sympathize to those who are struggling to open up their crypto investment to their family. However, our part is to make sure that once we explain it to them, they have the initial idea of it and avoid surprising them with result. Ofcourse it is normal to suffer from losses not only in Bitcoin but also with other investments. Think of a better way to say it; partial loss and may still be turned to winnings if you will choose to hold. We cannot blame them to view it negatively especially if they know nothing about it but this excludes violence in any form. If you have a choice to be silent about it or secretive then that would be better as well to lessen the risk of escalation.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see any value in move to earn crypto projects? on: September 24, 2023, 12:27:18 PM
There are some move to earn projects like stepn, stepapp etc . Do you see any value in them or it is just a death spiral?
Not familiar but if it won’t require you to invest then it would be worth trying. And if investing is needed always gauge the risk by just investing in the minimum if you’re just into testing it first. If you’re too hyped of it then you may invest bigger amount. Some are saying that projects of such concept are really profitable but to some it is not. Which gave me the idea that the ones who have engaged early are always the ones who are earning huge profit from Play/move to earn games/ applications. Better to try it for yourself or join communities specified for that application to gain first hand experiences for its users/investors.
966  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 24, 2023, 11:40:22 AM
This topic goes deep. Basic desires can't be escaped, food/shelter/clothes. Certain desires which improve your quality of life should be given priority.

A thing to understand is don't go blind after desires. Taking out savings, taking loans to fullfill unnecessary desires is stupidity. A finance saying goes, fullfill your desires from the wealth generated from your investments, thus you preserve capital as well and fullfill your desires too.

Most people would let their desires win due to comparison to the other people, cause if they are contented of what they had, for sure they could save money with taking loans and withdraw savings just to buy unnecessary things that can't help for your own convenience. Focusing in investment rather than comparing would build up the mindset of "in the future or sooner I would also afford that" which is actually good cause for that term you could be financially stable to buy things you want.
It is okay to have “wants” or desires ‘coz it could push us to perform better or to use it as an inspiration or rewarding system to ourselves. Problem only is that some people are disregarding limits or that their wants are not proportionate with what they can provide or spend. Better to seek for financial management lessons or watch things related to it in order to handle our funds well and to avoid spending too much. Some would say the things we should buy are things which could generate profit, well that’s valid but that’s not how our ego works and satisfaction. Understanding indeed the word “afford” is a must ‘coz not because you can buy something, it would mean that you can afford it. If you would be struggling financially after that purchase then you just forced yourself to buy it.

But with the topic, can we meet our desires and needs at the same time? Yes. An individual may do savong for that phone, car, or house. Urgency would also play a role with this one. Knowing the “right” time when to buy it is an important thing as well.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hate speech and it impacts on bitcoin on: September 23, 2023, 02:04:55 PM
I don't think hate speech has any effect on bitcoin because there is no government control over bitcoin no attack against bitcoin will succeed. Bitcoin is decentralized and has no influence and the price increases at its own pace without central bank or government control factors such as the inflation rate of the financial system or the surrounding economic development of the country cannot affect the value of bitcoin. Factors that affect the price of bitcoin are the cost of creating bitcoins through mining the demand and supply of bitcoins. The current year could be good for bitcoin as it has become almost the leading asset in the market so far..
But hate speech is simply persuasive to some people especially those who doesn't know that much of this technology. They have nothing to rely but what others are saying so technically, if they'd be hearing hate speech prior to pros of this industry, then they are more likely to be avoidant and to disregard what we would say positive to this industry. But problem is, we cannot really force them tk change their minds if ever they would be having negative impression of this industry unless they see its advantages for themselves. Wr may only share our positive views and it is for them to decide whether they would believe it and be open for ideas of investing as well or not. And also to point out the only factor which affects the price of Bitcoin is demand and that is something affected by many things, and not for expenses concerning mining.

969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gives the poor an Opportunity. on: September 22, 2023, 08:56:29 PM
Opportunity to earn? Yes, but it has limitations. With Bitcoin as an investment, obviously you’ll need money to earn by holding and waiting for its market price to increase. Indeed there are ways to earn from this industry in particular with services or projects but there are also limitations in particular with requirements to participate. Maybe if it was 4 years ago, there were so many options and requirements weren’t that hard to comply. I remember the first projects I have worked and participated with which really have helped me to make a start in this industry. With regards tk Bitcoin being an investment, we cannot do anything about it simply ‘coz in such way it became useful still given that its acceptance still is limited to majority of countries however I doubt it would might lower the value of this technology.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i invest in this project or not on: September 22, 2023, 06:43:36 PM
New projects could generate good profit but problem is would you be able to pick the ‘right one’? Not all projects are profitable to invest ‘coz some are just failing. We could talk about potential and such but that won’t guarantee a winning project especially if demand will not be established by investors. You may check for news and popularity as reference and to help you decide whether to continue or not. It is just hard ‘coz there are times the least expected projects turn out to be a profitable one so better yet choose in accordance to your will and tolerance of risk in this market.
971  Economy / Economics / Re: If They Can Pay off their Debts, Why Don't They? on: September 22, 2023, 05:37:10 PM
Answer is simple, they need their fund to run the economy. Just like with normal loans; the one who borrowed would make use of the money to other things perhaps in their business. Even if they happened to earn on their first month, they won’t do it ‘coz they would want to make that money bigger through revolving it for another month until it atleast double up and That would be the time they would pay only a portion of their debt, then do the cycle until whole amount is paid. Unfortunately there are times the one who is in debt has no plans of paying the amount he/she borrowed. With economies, agreement is prior before releasing the money and during the debt, negotiations could still be done and also, debt could be paid thru other ways possible which won’t cause any conflict to both parties.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is only Bitcoin and nothing else on: September 22, 2023, 05:00:11 PM
Like other say, you can look back, but you cannot take back; you just need to look forward if those coins is part of your past. This serves you a lot of lessons and learnings. we have different regrets in life that we didn't invest in that coin and hold, but that's the life. Also, another thing is you don't need to love those coins its part of your journey. You can make an investment and use the opportunity to gain profit; most of our goal here is financial freedom. Buy, sell, or hold and check another opportunity for another coin or position.
I do get the optimism with Bitcoin ‘coz if it is potential alone, then it has not only the potential but has proven how high its market price could increase. But to rely fully on a single asset won’t be advisable. If you’re into investment for years, then for sure you’d choose to diversify your portfolio. One reason is to lessen the risk due to factors which may affect the market in a sudden; economic crisis, wars, viruses and such. But if you’re that prepared to lose or win no matter what, then such method could work. Problem only arise when an investor isn’t ready for negative outcomes and are just being too positive just because he invested into it.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some good, trusty casinos that support crypto as payment? on: September 22, 2023, 03:13:11 PM
Simply engage with reputable ones in this industry or ones which are known in web 3.0 to make it easier on your end. Being specific will just make us biased of the platforms we are engaging but one thing is for sure, reputable ones won’t be in such classification if players have negative experience on those platforms. Gambling sites in crypto industry are all accepting crypto as mode of payment. Each platform could also give you offers to welcome you on their website but always choose those which are responsive with customer support. For me it does not only measure how good a platform is as a gambling site but also concerned of their players. With KYC procedures, make sure to read first the ToS to suit your preference.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Do You Of Think My Predictions On This Multi Bet Ticket ? on: September 21, 2023, 11:54:36 PM
The risk with multiple bets selections us higher and i can assure you that one or two games on that ticket will destroy your remaining winning at the end, and if you have followed up a lot you will already realize what I am telling you.
The best way to go with this kind of bet selection is if you are lucky for the few first games to win, you then will need to use the cash-out feature to take some gain from your winnings at the moment, but leaving the bet to run till 100% pause a high potential danger.
It is like an arbitrage gambling. Betting more  could generate bigger profit but will also increase the risk of losing. With regards to having an imbalance between winning and losing bets, those players who are doing multiple bets are not aiming for big profit but rather  compensation with possible losses. A mentality that if this bet loses, atleast others could make up for it. However since all bets has its own risk and if your multiple bets happened to lose at the same time then it would be a bigger problem. I personally do not recommend this scheme especially if you are just pushing your luck to win. It is still better to do things with analysis to increase the chance of winning if it is impossible to assure.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share Your Experience About Casinos You Found Here on: September 21, 2023, 11:32:22 PM
Have tried many gambling sites and not to name them ‘coz their platform is good but not good enough especially with tech support regarding concerns and bugs in their platforms. I think all casinos could offer big rewards and bonuses but only a few could give good player or customer support. Bugs are a bit normal to happen what is not is for platforms to disregard issues raised by their players.
2. Half of games are unavailable even with VPN (Pragmatic Play, Evolution).

Using VPN to bypass games that restricted your will make your account in jeopardy once you caught. Tilting on the casino that protecting you to avoid violating the ToS is not fair if you think about it. You should avoid playing games that restrict you using your normal IP because the casino can seize your profit once they find out that you are supposed to be restricted on these providers.

Please share your experience of playing in crypto casinos that you found here.

You play most on new casino or not that popular probably due to chasing down good bonuses. If you want a hassle free casino then try the well known brand such as Livecasino, Bitcasino and Sportsbet. These casino is my personal choice aside that I’m promoting it on my signature space. I play on these casino most of the time because I trust their superb service.
The possibility alone to have problems in the future is already a big risk especially if you’d bypass your country thru VPN. Platforms won’t prohibit such thing ‘coz it would benefit the platform in some instances if ever players would have trouble with their VPN and happened to have deposited to the site. But this rarely happen which still gives the idea to players who are too eager to gamble in spite of restrictions.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When Gamblers Fail to Read a Casino's Terms and Conditions on: September 21, 2023, 10:52:07 PM
Actually, to most of the games or platforms, we’re all guilty of not reading the ToS simply because doing so would consume a lot of time. But with gambling, it should be mandated because actual money is involved unless you are okay with sudden changes to be created by gambling site management all of a sudden. But if you’re that gambler who is against such things, then better yet read the ToS and decide for yourself wether to continue or not in their platform. Perhaps with KYC procedures, we have read ropics here wherein casinos are suddenly implying the procedure to their players and those who did not read it in ToS are usually shocked which causes dispute between players and the platform.
The results of which leads to misunderstandings and frustrations, often resulting in negative reviews and complaints that may not accurately represent the casino's practices. It is too bad. I have noticed that when gamblers don't read the T&S of a casino, they :
Misunderstanding these casinos is not always in the plan of some of these people, they actually read the T&S, but because of how some casinos do not write their T&S in simple terms that can easily be understood, it becomes misunderstood which later leads to problems. When gamblers fail to understand the T&S of a casino, it can also be because the casino have failed in making their T&S easy to understand. Some gamblers may not like to read the T&S too, they have played in other casinos without problems, so they can easily assume that the T&S is the same in all casinos. It can be a costly assumption later.
This is also valid. In some instances platforms are using general words and are becoming less specific with their rules in order to make changes in accordance with their motive. One example is creating changes if necessary. On our end we’d still be willing to engage ‘coz words used are vague not until the change has been made and happen to be against our likeness as players.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 05:18:51 PM
I'm always betting significant amount when I'm in the losing streak, Let's say only 30% left from my original bankroll after playing 1hr to 4hrs of non-stop Blackjack.

I always bet all-in which is my remaining bankroll that is significant amount for me on a 25% win chance rate bet on dice game. My heart palpitates during this bet and I really love the intense feeling. Most of the time I lose on this but it's really worth it if I win since I recover my original bankroll plus sweet profit of 20% of my bankroll.

I'm always doing this whenever I'm down after long gambling session just to finish with a big bang of surprise. When I lose at least I experience the thrill same with win since I have profit.

Are you doing this intense gambling experience by betting significant amount of your bankroll? This is insane but worth it if you are a thrill seeker for entertainment.
You’ve already said it; you often use this scheme and most of the time you are losing. On my end I believe it is not a good thing to do so; would your rather lose everything for that day or atleast have remains of your money for this day to be used on the next day? I get the idea that we’re driven but having such mindset will just put you in worse situation. You’d be easily be frustrated and too used of betting all you have just for the chance of earning an amount which won’t get back what you have lost. It would be a cycle afterwards that you’d be fine losing all your money for that day. Much better is to set limits for yourself and even set an amount or percentage of your daily gambling money to decide whether it is just a bad day or just unlucky of the game itself. Self restriction is a virtue that not all of us possess. It will always be better to be preventive than to just engage and risk everything. We are just being frustrated in such way and it won’t put us in a better place for sure.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Experience for new and old gambler? on: September 20, 2023, 11:44:34 PM
Do you think it is the same experience for a gambler who has practically experienced and been involved in gambling evolution since gambling was on the street side with personal belongings or money, to spaces and buildings for gambling with money, to gambling with money online, and now to gambling with cryptocurrency online with a gambler who has experienced a few or just one of the forms of gambling? whose addiction will be harder to break?
Yes it has a different feeling. From years of being in gambling industry to both landbased and online, I’d say how the games evolved, and the way rewards became bigger nowadays, have shown progress for gambling industry and that includes the platform and currency being used in every transaction. And I think online gambling at the present is more addictive and entertaining than before so maybe, addiction to new players towards gambling activities is more difficult to break but that depends on the individual as we all know. If you’re a greedy gambler, you’d be at risk of struggling to get out of gambling to either old platforms or new ones.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the drive that makes women go into gambling? on: September 20, 2023, 11:15:29 PM
Drive to earn more money and that is something which exists to us, not only to women. There are comparisons concerning why there are few female gamblers than male gamblers and as I’ve searched for it, the reason why there are more male gamblers is simply because they have higher risk taking trait than women.
I think for many women some of the few reasons they go into gambling, is that gambling provides them with the opportunity to be sociable and enjoy time with friends and also use it to escape boredom loneliness or even stress, excitement is also part of the reasons why women goes into gambling the sense of winning creates an additional anticipation of something bigger having the spotlight on you as a winner can make you feel good even for a brief moment. This has eventually turn into frequent trips or long session in gambling.
I can confidently tell you that what drives women into gambling is not very far from their male friends. Be it a boyfriend or a husband. They are the people that easily lure them into gambling. I have had a friend who always have different girlfriends and as much as he loves football and loves Sports Betting he will make sure he will introduce his girlfriend's into the same Sports Betting and before the relationship will come to an end, those girls are already into Sports Betting and discussing about football. So some girls in order to please their spouse have to engage in what their spouse are doing.
I doubt that in most instances for women who gamble, that they are influenced by other people. They’re a more curious gender than us male and for sure there are instances wherein female gamblers just learned how to, thru their initiative and curiosity.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 20, 2023, 04:36:10 PM
Young ones will always have the tendency to copy the actions of elders especially kids that still has no judgements of things. It is their curiosity which pushes them to copy adult actions. Best way is to not expose them with things you don’t want them to learn if not at the present, in the future. We all know the risks involved in gambling and just like with other bad things such as vices, we won’t wish the young ones to copy our wrongdoings. They have least to no control with the consequences of their actions and that simply means they could as well ho beyond what you are doing or the thing that they are trying to copy from you. Gambling is easy to learn but never easy to unlearn. If we are having trouble to stop our drive, so what more of the kids who do not know how hard it is to earn money just to be used in gambling.
