981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] API of Nxt on: January 16, 2014, 10:47:30 AM
When Nxt price will skyrocket we'll have to change the APIs to allow fee expressed in Nxt-cents or transactions will cost too much.

I think it's easier make now such an incompatible change than later when there will be a larger userbase...

It might be useful add more decimals than just 2.

Ah thank you ! I was asking for help from devs but no one is moving.
If bit777 add Nxt this will be the biggest promotion ever.
With what exactly can we help? what do you need?

Just helping him understand how the client work and how to implement it to his casino (considering the high traffic/transactions).
The Nxt client is very different from BitcoinQt.

This is a main problem we see also appear with exchange, people dont know how to implement it in they environment. Can we have somebody other than core DEVs JL and CfB to help people with this?

who is willing to do this?

Do we have someone other than core devs that could explain how NXT works and help them setup business; this is also in the interest of NXT

Perhaps I can help: I'm a Linux system administrator and a PHP programmer.

Is this possible:

1 vote = paying x% of owend coins

the fee will be devided between the x poorest accounts.

I have 1NXT fee for voting is 2% I pay 0.02NXT fee

I have 1,000,000 NXT I have to pay 20,000NXT

Pin

This will not stop a large holder from transferring 1 NXT to a large amount of accounts, then voting with those accounts to get around the fee. IMO 1 NXT = 1 vote is the simplest, least gamed method.

a %fee for voting might be a possibility. your math failed. if there was a 2% fee, distributing coins to many accounts would increase big stakeholders overall cost.

Hm? He is saying on a per vote basis, you pay (for example) 2%. So a large account with 1,000,000 NXT has to pay 20,000 NXT per vote. He could just send that 20,000 NXT to 10,000 accounts and get 10,000 votes for the price of 1 vote.

Sending 20,000 NXT to 10,000 accounts has fees too...

AFAIK all current deposits are being saved for new 28nm infrastructure.  Which is planned to start coming online later this month IIRC.
so, when he done install it, that mean all queue up deposit will be active, right?
my question is,
after that time, if i deposit again
is my deposit will be active immediately or must wait some weeks again, waiting he buy new hardware again?

When queue will be emptied new activations will  require very little time.

Why is there even a discussion? This is a POS currency, that says it is a 100% POS currency, now people want to game the POS system?  lol@game playing, that is basically POW and the reason i prefer this coin over others.

1 NXT = 1 Vote but we should include a 0.01% Fee on voting (1 FEE or 0.01% whatever is higher)

ATM I have to agree with TwinWinNerD: 1 NXT = 1 vote, but voting should not be free

PS: Just an imput - anybody contemplated a double majority yet?
Example in a Yes or No voting (always assuming that voting has a fee):
YES if (number of YES-Nxts bigger than number of NO-Nxts) and (number of YES-Accounts bigger than number of NO-Accounts)

This makes the system biased towards NO, so who propose the vote has great power in choosing if the question is "should we do xxx?" or "should we avoid xxx?"

Sorry for the noob question: I`ve just read the essay from anon and it says the code is still not released? I thought it was? If not, when will it be "full open source"?

http://www.nxtcrypto.org/nxt-coin/nxt-source-code-released-january-3-2014

I'm disappointed that only an old version has been open sourced.

Why don't we use GitHub or something like that?
How many developers have current source code?
987  Economy / Marketplace / Re: So you think you're going to start a Bitcoin business, right? on: January 14, 2014, 09:00:51 PM
I'm brand new so bare with me when you say WOT I googled it and came up with http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratings.php is that it and if yes the purpose of that is so you can rate my business ?

The purpose is rating you as a trustable person or not.
People rate you when you buy/sell goods.

Quote
- Decentralized Alias System / DNS - Complete
Register names and assign them to URIs.  URIs can be anything from web addresses to Nxt account numbers.  These aliases will be tradeable in the near future.

- Basic DDoS Protection - Complete

- Decentralized Asset Exchange / Colored Coins - Done, but not yet implemented.
This allows gateways to issue assets on the Nxt network.  These assets can include cryptocurrencies (BTC, LTC, etc), fiat currencies (USD, EUR, RMB, etc), stocks and other assets.

- Transparent Mining - Complete.
Transactions are encrypted.  Only PoS block generator can decrypt transactions.

- Arbitrary Messaging - Complete. Implementation on block 40,000.

- Instant Transactions - Requires peer review

- Decentralized Marketplace / Auction - In progress
Buy or sell goods/services in a distributed manner.  All listings are broadcast to all nodes on the network in P2P fashion.

- Distributed Storage - In progress

- Multi-signatures - In progress

- Blockchain Shrinking - In progress

- Two-phase Payments - In progress
     Software supported escrow transactions

- Voting System - In progress

- Reputation System - Will be implemented after Voting System
Account trust rating system.  Check if sellers on the distributed exchange have a good history, if stock issuers pay dividends and if gateways honor their asset redemptions.

989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IPO][ANN] ShadowCoin(SDC) Project. The Currency with PoS and P2P features. on: January 11, 2014, 05:25:37 AM
Few questions:

What problems in NXT are you addressing and how?

When will software be released?

When will full source code be released?

Why are you treating first investors differently then later ones? Goal of the IPO should be spreading coins as much as  possible for its success, not gathering money fast
990  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Perchè aspettare tante conferme? on: January 11, 2014, 04:41:40 AM
Perchè? come è possibile far diventare tale transazione come orfana?

New infrastructure:~110.7GH/s/BTC
Whoa, seriously?

at ~1000 usd pr coin thats 9 usd pr ghs.
nothing to go "whoa" over Tongue

It is when you put multiple BTC into pyramining back in 2012 :~)

New infrastructure is additional hashing power added by new investments.
Overall hashing power per BTC will be way lower.
993  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Ghash.io vicina al 51% on: January 09, 2014, 12:49:42 PM

994  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Duro crash in arrivo? :-( on: January 08, 2014, 11:52:00 PM

You can just keep them and wait for btc price grow.

Or you can have a look at securities section of the forum but watch out for scammers!

If you are interested in mining, I reccomend http://solarwindmining.com/accountsforum/index.php?action=refferals;refferedby=7

qualche suggerimento su come fare per ritirare euro ottenuti da bitcoin senza esser tracciati?

localbitcoins, otc, forum...
Insomma evitare gli exchange utilizzando l'approccio P2P.

I've checked in the blockchain, no payment sent to the addresses that were due 24 and 25 december.

Now we are allowed to say this is a scam.
