As soon as the CloakTrade and TOR update is ready we'll launch a vote for the next wallet innovation.

We are making CloakSend 2.0 right now but to compliment PoSA there are 3 very interesting side projects that lay ahead of us.

We are not sure which one to prioritise.

You guys get to decide.

Wow - I'm just shocked at how this unfolded  Roll Eyes

Isn't it funny how I gave you guys great advice and yet everybody hates me for it? Who doesn't wish they would have sold at 7000 like I told you too? I wouldn't have been here if I wasn't certain this was a scam, guys. The dev is a scammer - he's scammed people before and he will scam people again. Next time, feel free to ask me to analyze a coin before you buy into it and I will give you my honest assessment. Stop losing money! I'm happy to help.

Read the thread and you will reconsider.

1. devs premined
2. whitepaper was not that interesting
3. did not released the next version last night
4. other user named silkcoin_something said that its coming tonight
5. someone here noticed that the 1 million premined coins moved to a Mintpal address
6. screenshot appears here which proves that the coins were dumped.

Shame on you silkcoin!

Maybe we should make this thread moderated, to prevent FUDsters?

Too late. Damage is already done.

Are the devs really working full-time?  Why is not a single one of the 5 dev's responding?  Why is the premined money moved without any pre-notification?
why..why..WHY

I have a question about multipool. Does it mean I get paid 137.669 CLOAK/day if my X11 hashrate is 34 Mhs according to this screenshot?

No, that's how much you've been paid.  Payout always depends on market price and shares submitted.

I understand that payout will definitely change day by day because of fluctuation in market prices and such. That Avg. Hashrate of 34.71 MH/s is not mine, it's pool's average. I just wonder how many CLOAK/MHs did miners get paid in the last payout?

Can anyone explain a noob as myself this:

Why are there multipools and people talking about hashrates?  I thought the POW fase was over, how is it possible that people are mining?  Or...

Hi,

I am not sure if I have a problem.  Just a moment ago I trasferred about 823 cloak to my address Bsau6v72rN5zvVz1NfYBtYLiuJvfV3FtHj.  The client wasnt synced at all, that was because there was no cloakcoin.conf.   Now I created the conf file, but my wallet is not syncing, it says no active connections.

What am i doing wrong?  Firewall is open for the client..

Thanks,
boestin

Go here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637704.msg7291668#msg7291668.  Do those things, but when you get to the cloakcoin.conf step - use these nodes instead.

Code:
addnode=cloak.blockexplorer.cc
addnode=119.191.200.5
addnode=188.232.115.205
addnode=37.59.27.14
addnode=5.250.177.24
addnode=212.160.231.239
addnode=109.68.168.5
addnode=37.6.145.32

Edit:  I've actually updated my post there to include the up-to-date nodes.

Working!!! Thanks..  Whats your cloak address, I want to test the cloak function  Smiley

Moreover, my concern is what happens when the devs run out of premine?  Should they work for free?  I think we need to eventually set up some sort of foundation to fund the dev team.  Another idea I had was for the stake blocks to pay a small percentage to the devs and also to eliminate the transaction fee as to me that is a legacy of PoW systems.

Thoughts?

Well if the developers want to get paid from that SC, then it should be transparant. For instance, like NEM.  Say they had 2 days of work for the exchange module in the new client. Then there should be a credit from the premine address. < that transaction should be transparant, public on the thread.

Staking is ofcourse a possibility, but will the 2 percent of a couple of million be enough?

I don't think the devs are worried about getting paid at the moment.  They are focused with getting the vision implemented.  Anyone on the team I am sure have personally bought their own silk and have that stake in it taking off.

Not sure what the percent would be.  When silk coin takes off a small % could be a good rev stream.  That rev stream could also go to marketing for adoption like payment processors.

Yeah, me too.   I absolutely don't mind if the devs take some of the premine.  But if they do let it be transparant. That way there will be no FUD afterwards  Wink  Make it a poll  Cool

Well said J..

#1 Start closing this thread and move on to a moderated one, FUD is scaring away new people
#2 To the devs: Post something technical, instead of front-end goodies. That's what I am interested in. Innovations? There are many with Silk. But I would love to see in depth tech talk.
#3 Post some polls about future choices!!  Smiley
#4 Last but not least. We all know there are a couple of addresses with silk in them (yes the premine thing again). Post a poll. What do WE want to do with it. Maybe charity? Good cause?  THATS what counts imo.
