Hi everybody.
Trying to relaunch a coin is a good idea.
So, I decided to move one of my r290x rigs from DRK to ICOIN, just for fun on solo mining.
It will probably take ages before any ROI at this stage but if it help, I will be happy to participate by donating small chunks of what I get.
I just want to raise some questions :
- is ICOIN the right ticker ?
- is the block reward 50 instead of 100 ?
- is it normal to have only 2 network connexions ?
I agree those are noobs questions but I want to avoid mining the wrong coin otherwise my donations would be worthless.

Hi Jofo, You are correct ROI might not even happen, but thanks very much for pointing your rigs at iCoin I have my small miners solo mining at the moment. ICN is the ticker we used in the past. The block reward is 50 as block halfing happened a while a go. 2 connections is normal at the moment, once we gain momentum, that will hopefully change. |

It looks like there are no many wallets on and staking. I got PoS stakes on 26 out of 26 last blocks and then the last generated block was about half an hour ago, coinciding with my last block that staked. If you are still interested in KTK, please put your wallets on.
If I didn't have to bunch the blocks together every week, I would leave mine on. It slows everything down on my computer if I leave it. |

I have had 2 people say no to me so far as they are happier being away from being a dev. I will keep trying Hmmm , I was hoping someone would pick up and run with it . I have been searching too. I can only find people that will work for bitcoin and will only do specific tasks. Nobody that is willing to take the coin over I think that our community needs growth. For that, we need to advertise outside of Bitcoin Talk. Any recommendations? We could try to raise some bitcoin to buy some ad space from sites like coinurl I have put the OP info thread on hashtalk and there are a few people looking into it. At this stage I wouldn't recommend any adertising that is going to cost people money as there is a risk they won't get it back. I'm going to look at block explorers this weekend and see if my and my friend can come up with one. The more we can set in place the more attractive it's going to look LordPiccolo, you seem to have several friends with the ability to become developers. Would any of them be willing to support the coin? I'm speaking with a few this weekend so hopefully I'll have some positive news |

I haven't mined in ages and divested most of my cards to my kids computers, but I think I'll try to start up mining this once more when I get home from work.
you can get small scrypt miners for about £30 from ebay, they ofer about 1.2-1.4 mhs and only run at 40 watts Much better than any card |

what does "not staking because you don't have mature coins" mean?
you need to leave your coins in your wallet for a minimum period before they mature. Can't see any info about what that minimum time is for this coin. |

We understand your complains regarding the percentage of coins available to be mined, we made the decision to have a small PoW % because we wanted to have visibility in the mining world and because we felt like ICO + PoW was a good combination since the network would be smoothly running during the ICO phase and that fact would calm investors and prove that we are here to maintain a stanle blockchain since day 0.

Ok , I got it going on my desktop right after I sent you that message . I will send the proceeds from that wallet and donate some extra from my other on my laptop . I'll try to donate 20% of the earning from my fury on top of the gridseed and if thats not enough I'll try to do more up to 50% till we get this coin going . Sound fair enough ?
