981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not panic on: October 10, 2018, 09:09:41 PM
Panic is like a family member, I'm not worried about it anymore Smiley

Then I sympathize with you, in my opinion you should always take care and worry about your family members.
With regards to panic, this is a condition that does not bring any benefit, it is easy to make a mistake in it and therefore should be avoided.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology. on: October 10, 2018, 09:04:15 PM
I have been just in the crypto world for 5 months. I have tried to learn about blockchain, bitcoin, altcoins,... and I realize that blockchain is being abused.

Many projects are launched with the ideas of using blockchain. But actually, blockchain is not necessary to implement their projects. It just seems to follow the trend of tokenization. And their tokens are utility tokens, real "utility", which are utilized to raise their funds. There is no reality application of blockchain. I think everything will be good if it is enough. Will blockchain become worst if they continuely abuse it?

What do you think about this problem?

Of course, this is true, this technology by and large does not even need coins and exchanges is only an addition, but at the moment this addition is the determining factor for most projects.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to known a Scam ICO on: October 10, 2018, 09:02:45 PM
As a rule, all scam projects make the same mistakes such as fake team, copying white paper of other projects, poor design.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do now on: October 10, 2018, 09:01:18 PM
First of all, do not ask for advice here, but if you arleady asked, then read all comments here, among them will be a couple of really worthwhile ones. Second, make your own analysis of the coins, so it will be easier for you to make a decision.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: October 10, 2018, 08:46:54 PM
It is important to understand that the market and the bitcoin market price is manipulated and held through bots on the Bitfinex exchange, so it’s hard to say when it will all end, because it’s not natural price regulation processes that solve this issue.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy BTC? on: October 10, 2018, 08:19:50 PM

Considering the positive growth trend in the Bitcoin price over the past 5 years, I think now is still a good time to invest in this project, imagine what those who bought Bitcoin 10 thousand or more now think.

Did anyone try purchasing MCO here?
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bo Shen hacked? ETH, REP sold on poloniex? on: December 08, 2016, 02:27:28 PM
Looks like the hacker is trailed right now.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Augur team member hacked and 100,000 REP were stolen? on: December 08, 2016, 02:25:00 PM
So basically looks like - the hacker is tracked right now, according to this article

These exchanges must have at least his IP address.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright is Not Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 04, 2016, 02:22:26 PM
I think it's politics manipulation where someone want people believe that Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto and think his decision is the best for bitcoin future.

Can't see how this is a good idea - as it now makes his invention vulnerable. Now people would watch his every move and project it on whole bitcoin market.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ad-blocking dilemma is solved by cryptocurrency. on: April 07, 2016, 06:41:13 PM
Making users pay a micropayment to access a web page is never going work. The reason is because the cognitive load of each action is far too high:

http://www.shirky.com/weblog/2009/02/why-small-payments-wont-save-publishers/

Yet another stupid shit coin.

You should have read that more thoroughly. You don't have to pay anything to access the content. Instead you are offered with a donation option that can further enhance the content quality.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ad-blocking dilemma is solved by cryptocurrency. on: April 06, 2016, 02:47:44 PM
Why do we need a new specific coin for this? How about using an existing cryptocurrency that is rather known and already widely used?

I agree that micropayments are indeed a great area of application for cryptocurrency.

I think it was just easier to make this using new currency rather than try to make bitcoin work with it.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ad-blocking dilemma is solved by cryptocurrency. on: April 06, 2016, 11:32:40 AM
Cryptocurrency ADZcoin proposed the solution to ad-blocking issue.

As far as I understood, publisher just adds the code on its website and can accept donations in adzcoins which users get for free. These donation widgets replace the ads for those who use adblock.

Great job, guys! I found and tested this on review of Cointelegraph.

996  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-08-14] Is The Paypal/Braintree Deal Good For Bitcoin on: September 13, 2014, 08:23:47 PM
http://cointelegraph.com/news/112514/a-lincoln-douglas-style-debate-is-the-paypalbraintree-deal-good-for-bitcoin

Quote
With the news that Paypal's subsidiary Braintree will begin accepting Bitcoin payments, much of the Bitcoin community is full of excitement and lofty dreams of another big boom. But is the news actually good for Bitcoin?

We have decided to pose the question to two of our writers here at CoinTelegraph: Tone Vays and Ian DeMartino. We are going to attempt something new here, a text, by-email debate inspired by the popular Lincoln-Douglas Debate format on this very issue.

Ian DeMartino will be arguing in favor of the statement while Tone Vays will be taking the opposing viewpoint.
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Epic bitcoin exchanges poll on: September 02, 2014, 10:23:29 AM
I think you forgot to include the poll lol.

where is the poll? :-)

That is the point, I'm asking for some exceptional features which aren't present on most of the exchanges. So if I'd just created the poll with "High security", "Fast withdrawal" and "Live trading" options, this wouldn't be so interesting.
998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Epic bitcoin exchanges poll on: September 01, 2014, 01:33:23 PM
Hey guys, I've decided to make a quick poll, everyone's opinion is welcome! The question is what features make a good bitcoin exchange? Chart plotting tools, security layers, unusual options for withdrawal, etc, etc, you name it. Please let me know about anything you think is important for an exchange, I would love to hear as much versions as possible!
999  Other / Off-topic / Re: Epic bitcoin exchanges poll on: September 01, 2014, 10:50:30 AM
Not sure if "Off-topic" is the best place for this.... maybe "Trading Discussion."

Anyway, first and foremost, a real-time, non-lagging trade engine. Non-buggy platform is a must. Easy-to-use interface. Trading options -- stop orders, please. Regular auditing. Good cold storage protocols. Fast fiat withdrawals. More, but not off the top of my head.

Thanks for the input. Although these features are more like a general guideline for any exchange to follow. Maybe some more obscure things?
