982  Economy / Collectibles / [Cases] What do you keep your coins in? on: July 19, 2017, 10:16:57 AM
I'm quite curious as to what you all keep your coins in? I know a lot of people may keep their coins in safety deposit boxes, but for the few that you keep at home or nearby what do you prefer to keep them in?

I use these (first time putting up a picture, probably wont work)

My coins are laid down facing up, its nice because you can slot them depending on the size of the coin.

is there anyway to stop a payment once sent? I just got scammed on this deal. I received a message from Mifman stating the roll of satori are mine with the address so I sent payment. then I just noticed it came from someone calling themselves mifman with 1 f should be miffman not mifman. What is wrong with people today!! you needed 300 bucks that bad unreal!!

With bitcoin you are acting as your own bank. You need to double triple check everything before you send BTC to someone. You aren't conducting yourself in a safe manor by handing out your email address and wanting to do business in that way.

There are trust/activity tools on the forum that make it fairly easy to find these scammers. Unfortunately your bitcoin are no longer yours and there is no way to stop a payment after you've sent it.

BUMP

Is there really no one who is willing to sell one?

(if not, I can spend my budget on the ZimNotes Cool)

994  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Friends of Satoshi ZimNote: Sport Edition [Auction # 2 / 4] on: July 08, 2017, 01:33:33 AM
Side question....

Sporty buffalo was not one of the four posted in the original announcement thread. Can any assumptions be made on which doodles will be part of auctions #3 and #4? Or do we just wait and see?

Say for example I was holding my bidding bits for the moon buffalo from the ANN thread... but maybe the moon buffalo is not one to be offered at auction?

Awesome work regardless, cheers!

The only note that was available for auction and previously shown was the zombie edition. The next two after sport edition have not been seen by us. The note contributors kept their favorites and moon edition was one of those.

Hey chronicsky I want the kind of magnet that snaps together when I put the two pieces close. I gathered by your gif that this is what happens. I am happy with this choice of magnet but if for some reason they push apart when I put them close together I will not be happy.

make sure on your coin it doesnt say BitCoin because nobody spells it like that, i assume your autocorrect may have taken over.

im by no means trying to play cop, just sticking to morals and hoping people that don't read the whole thread can see a wrongdoing.

The auction time was changed after the auction was clearly over.

JackBlack I very strongly advise you to do the right thing and honor the deal.

It was very clear the auction ended at 9pm 6/22 and I won.

JackBlack,  I expect an answer from you soon.

I agree you won the auction
I am sorry I was super busy
Also makes me unfit to auction anything if I am not able to follow everyhr
You won buddy will honor your  bids

will remove neg rep once LazerViking confirms items. Thank you for honoring your original auction terms.

this same thing happened a month or so ago with user XboxThreeFixMe, changed end time after he did not get the price that he wanted. In these cases the auction holders should not be holding auctions, rather having sales. regardless xboxthreefixme was run off of the collectibles forum and will never sell one of his coins again. anyone condoning the actions by the OP should smarten up or else these auctions and wrongful business practices are going to keep on happening.

edit - negative rep left. just because we are able to edit our auctions on this forums does NOT mean OP can do it without repercussions. New members entering the coin game on our board see this as acceptable behavior if we let this slide.
