981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: September 27, 2019, 08:33:56 PM
There have been many examples of altcoin which have higher coin specifications than bitcoin, but still cannot compete with bitcoin because of the bitcoin community and history itself is more valuable than the specifications. and also the comparison is not too far away. but certainly bitcoin as pioneer crypto will always be number 1 or i can say main coin in the crypto market.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after cryptocurrency on: September 27, 2019, 08:31:39 PM
Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

the world is big and so is the economy. maybe with the development of the times. will be completely digital, and only a few people use real money. Can crypto be the money for major transactions in digital transactions? I think it could be and the banking system might be able to improve further, and provide the best solution without changing the core of bitcoin itself. freedom without fees and broad access.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to 100% Secure Bitcoin from Thieves / Hackers / Government??? on: September 27, 2019, 08:28:13 PM
I haven't tried real crypto wallet like ledger nano but i have seen my friend using trezor is that the same thing? I am still using the application wallet on mobile and secure devices that I have never used for browsing. so I think saving on a secure device and never being used to browse something weird or suspicious I think our wallet can be safe.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: September 27, 2019, 08:21:03 PM
why bitcoin is attractive to investors? Any good opinions or answers? Thanks
Bitcoin gives its users the freedom to use their assets freely and anytime on the internet. and the price is fluctuative for some people it is profitable for trading. but many also consider that because of the price fluctuations, bitcoin is considered a dangerous trading asset. but still easy come easy go. just becarefull to trade in crypto especially with altcoin. many people still fall for it.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 27, 2019, 08:17:12 PM
investing in crypto mostly on ICO projects or cloud mining is very controversial because the nominal needed to to get real profit or get ROP ASAP like that always ended as fraud investment . and with the truth of investing in the internet this is an opportunity for them to make their way to make instant money . and sadly still many people fall for it.
986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most popular payment methods to buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: September 27, 2019, 08:13:04 PM
I prefer choose to buy directly through a local crypto exchange that can deposit with a local bank. Because the price of coins through this service can be more expensive up to 10 to 20 percent compared to direct purchases on the market exchange. and there are also special fees for these service providers.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency entirely dedicated to GAMBLING? on: September 27, 2019, 01:23:27 PM
An idea came onto my mind, and it consists about a currency that is entirely dedicated onto gambling and also betting, I did not search through the web if there is actually a crypto that has done this. Gambling is a thing that the people love to do, whether if it is in the casino or online, but have you ever thought of a crypto that will serve as your main currency whether if it is in the casino or it is on online, I think this could also be beneficial for the gamblers as well, I wanna know about what you think of my idea, whether if it is a positive or negative opinion, I will still take it.

that's not the initial purpose of crypto. but times have changed. people use crypto not as an alternative means of payment anymore. but many people consider this as a trading asset. and many new altcoins also appear that forget the main purpose of crypto coin itself. and focus more on trading. so trading on crypto is indeed a big risk. because it's too easy for someone to get profits but it's also very easy to lose them again.
988  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Bagaimana cara melindungi akun bitcointalk agar aman on: September 27, 2019, 01:20:20 PM

989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin market dominance rising fast? on: September 27, 2019, 01:17:04 PM
Over the past months, Bitcoin has been rising in market dominance at a fast pace. Altcoins have been on a constant decline in price ever since the bear market began back in 2018. They've been the ones which suffered the most, while Bitcoin has obtained greater prominence within the crypto market.

Which is why, it wonder me wonder why Bitcoin's market dominance have been rising so fast? What could be the cause of this? Will altcoins die soon, as a result of Bitcoin dominating the whole market? Or will they still survive?

So far, Bitcoin has gained the attention of people within the mainstream world, especially since it's one of the most limited cryptocurrencies in supply with an outstanding development team. The Lightning Network is its most interesting feature yet, leaving many wondering if it will render altcoins obsolete. If this indeed happens, then Bitcoin would effectively centralize the whole crypto market. What are your thoughts about this? Huh

Bitcoin does have a fluctuative price and the exact reason that causes the price increase is uncertain and many assumptions of each person. some say it's a big holder game. some say it's pure market demand. but certainly bitcoin easy rising easy falling. thats why some people aren't really into bitcoin trading.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: September 27, 2019, 01:09:58 PM
IMHO they are looking on trading volumes and rare tokens that you trade. As I remember coin will add on CMC after 50000 USD day trading volume.

They removed the exchange volume requirement a while back.

https://in.finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/coinmarketcap-removes-volume-requirements-cryptocurrency-192959566.html

Coingecko is far better than cmc tbh, they have excellent customer support which I adore the most about them.

Indeed coingecko in terms of platform appearance is more interesting and has many functions compared to cmc which still uses classy design. but still mostly crypto users when typing bitcoin prices CMC always become the top 5 on google search. as well as other coins listed on the exchange mostly refer to the cmc website.

992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: September 22, 2019, 03:41:38 PM
This really happens to my friend in a horse racing, he is making a good run of winning he was in a winner take all bet and he needs to only win one, before he buys a ticket a winner take all-ticket, he has doubt on his bet on the 7th race because he is not the main favorite, he opted  for the favorite of race 7

He wins bet on all the 6 races  and he just needs one win and he is confident that the horse who he picks for a replacement on the horse he first bet to win the race, in the end, he loses the big jackpot in the 7th race because the horse that comes out the winner happens to be the horse he replaced with the favorite, he loses $3000 jackpot because of that.

He had a hard time moving on with that experience.

I often experience that. especially when I'm gambling on a sports book or e-sport gambling. gambling is really just try our luck. but it's actually fun if you don't use large amounts of money. in the case of $3000 of your friend for me that is huge money. i dont think i can calm my self after losing it.but what can be done after that happens is only accept and keep thinking positive things.
993  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you actually spend your cryptocurrency on? on: September 21, 2019, 07:23:29 PM
I mostly use bitcoin for online digital goods transactions such as gift cards. payment service or currency exchange. because it's easier. online users can certainly get wallet easily and without time. and track money can be checked directly without delay. so I would prefer if this digital goods transaction with bitcoin because it is real time and simple.
994  Economy / Economics / Re: CASHING OUT YOUR CRYPTO-CURRENCY PROFITS on: September 21, 2019, 05:19:35 PM
Hi everybody, I have a serious question to address:

How will you tell (or reveal) to your Bank that the huge daily (or weekly) deposits into your Bank Account are from crypto-currency profits?
- Would you go to your local Bank Branch and tell them ahead of time, that you are a crypto-currency investor BEFORE you make huge deposits?
- Would you go to your local Bank Branch and tell them that you are a crypto-currency investor AFTER you make huge deposits?

Why not just telling the truth? I have been asked where you get your money and for who you work ? and im just telling them I'm starting a 'Bitcoin' crypto business and they look so confused and im telling them im miner and do trading bitcoin also and they have no idea what im talking about. what I think is maybe they consider me to be trading the stock market.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: September 21, 2019, 04:44:50 PM
Looking at the market dominance, bitcoin covers almost 70.5% of the market trade as of time of writing. there is the need for altcoin recovery or it might spell doom for investors. i.e, people invest today on a new project and sell off tomorrow.
According to a wall street executive, Max keiser, he strongly believed that altcoins has reached there dead end and advised that everyone should focus on bitcoin. considering the fact that bitcoin is limited. there is the need for altcoins as the name implies, Alternative coins.

What is your say on this.

Altcoin depends on Bitcoin prices and market trends. if Bitcoin is getting more popular it must tend to be a more active market in bitcoin but does that make altcoin completely dead ? of course not because the altcoin community itself has its own progress. so if the altcoin market is not as active as before it does not mean altcoin is no longer had value. every coin had their time. for now its for Bitcoin.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 20, 2019, 09:57:31 PM
When you invest in a solid project and hodl for the long term, then it's not a gamble, BUT when you invest in a worthless shitcoin with a scamming CEO, then buying & hodling for any length of time is a pure gamble with the odds stacked very much against you.

We don't gamble if we hold some coins, especially if we hold some potential coins that can increase anytime. Gambling itself is a game with the money involved, and it's not the same as holding. Holding is something that we keep for a while, and we are waiting for the price increases. If we hold for a long time, it doesn't mean that we are playing gambling because we know what we did.

it can be very gambling if the invest in unknown project. everyone has belief in a particular coin before buying a coin, if all wrong predictions back again to the coin holder. because basically what determines from the beginning is that the holder should have his own commitment and belief in what will happen in the market. different from ameteru trader who only bought without knowing the purpose from the start and only guessed the fate of the coin.

997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 20, 2019, 09:51:52 PM
Gambling can make someone lose everything. gambling can be addictive. gambling can change the way people think. but gambling can also train mentally and adrenaline. gambling should be a fun game. but if it's too serious and sacrificed money for gambling I think it's the wrong way.
Everyone has their own thoughts and beliefs. all depends on personal beliefs. I myself consider gambling just as an exciting game.
998  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Portal Berita dan Informasi Seputar Cryptocurrency Indonesia on: September 20, 2019, 09:39:34 PM

Kek gini misalnya:
https://www.coindesk.com/gk8-blockchain-wallet-offline << promosi? Kalo agan ga dibayar GK8, lewat aja cari artikel lain

999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: less interest of investors to buy ICO on: September 20, 2019, 05:21:13 AM
More and more fake ICOs are confident of announcing their lies in the media. and as crypto users themselves many are already aware of it and many are not aware of this ICO. I think people's interest in ICO will continue to grow as long as the project offered is relevant and handled by a developer and team that is clear and has the appropriate experience of the project it self.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Altcoins? on: September 20, 2019, 05:16:51 AM

All the mentioned methods are good avenues for increasing ones altcoins holdings. Based on the expertise level of the investor, chooses which avenue works fine for him. Trading is a whole field on its own which require knowledge in how to make market analysis, how to read the candles, how to make tangible predictions based on the analysis etc. Others prefer to invest in ICO or IEO and hold for a long term.

And even someone who is already an expert in trading such as the stock market feels a big difference with trading on crypto especially bitcoin because the price and uncertain market conditions affect the price of bitcoin itself. It does sound like gambling but many also think it is an advantage of bitcoin trading than other assets.
