461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: August 01, 2021, 07:01:47 PM
The price does not change my way of betting: first of all, I only bet with fiat money
this is the good thing about crypto online casinos, now most of them convert directly to usd, not to total coins. in the past very rare find casino like that mostly gambling site only have dice game and direcly to coin. these day Casinos are more safer in asset value and had more options too. so if there is a problem with changes in the price of bitcoin / other crypto there is no problem at all.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's holding back Amazon & eBay from adopting Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2021, 05:26:03 PM
What's holding back Amazon & eBay from adopting Bitcoin? Is it due to skepticism, volatility or lack or regulations? Do you think these companies will adopt Bitcoin soon? Or it'll never happen? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much Smiley

Those are big companies that are popular worldwide. and very successful and very often used. It seems that the reason you said is true because, volatility or lack or regulations because they are big company and must be regulated under government regulations. and do not know whether they want to risk their assets or not . but I believe there comes a time when it happens.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market situation is deteriorating day by day.. on: July 31, 2021, 05:23:37 PM
This shows that the market is taken up by itself and then brought down by itself. I want to know how long this market situation will last, And when will the market start to go up?

It seems that serious news that has an impact on the crypto ecosystem is very influential with bitcoin price movements. I hope there is a lot of good news in crypto this year. and bitcoin movements will always be like that, high price corrections are very common in crypto that is why they are called high volatile assets.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety on: July 31, 2021, 05:20:03 PM
that is also not that secure and I believe in the next 5-10years Bitcoin price will reach 6digit and after this happens crypto holders will be the major target of online theft.

As a preparation for what may happen now and in the future, what are the 0% error/100% step a crypto holder or investors need to follow to avoid been expose or securely save his investment from attackers?

no need to wait for 6 digits at the current price, hackers and online thieves have started doing many ways to steal other people's crypto from spreading viruses to brute forcing or cracking, controll and monitoring someone devices. now it's just how we store our assets in a personal wallet safely. many suggest using a ledger wallet or the simplest is to use a device that is not used for browsing or doing activities on the internet. because the only way hackers get our assets is only with our activity on internet.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: July 31, 2021, 05:09:14 PM
There are plethora of online casinos (gambling sites) which accept popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. This is good because you can place your bets anonymously without all of the hurdles involved with Fiat. No KYC, means freedom. The only downside is that you'll be missing the experience of gambling in a real world setting. Physical interaction is not the same as going virtual.

I think if the regulations are clear, modern offline casinos will also have the option of buying chips with crypto. right now not all regions allow crypto as a legal payment. I'm sure that many offline casinos also want to adapt bitcoin but limited by regulations because it's proven that online casinos are very crowded and in demand at this time. They definitely want to follow what is popular in casino bussiness.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: July 31, 2021, 05:03:12 PM
If that is about the video on Youtube and Twitch, many people can watch those videos, including the young generation, to get into gambling and play games.

Twitch has their own cathegory for gambling ( slot ) and cmiiw they not restricted age to watch those stream. unlike youtube they had age restricition and optional for streamer non safe for kids . now it's not a problem about the streamer. but to the platform which is not maximal in limiting their streamer content.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about NFT? on: July 30, 2021, 09:02:45 PM
I saw NFT hype in the market and thinking about invest in one. So I invested some of my money in one project called polkamon. Here you can learn details about it: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/polkamon/

This NFT project seems very good to me but the price is going down continuously. What do you think guys I should hold this token for a long run or sell-off with a loss? I still think it's a very good NFT project and could easily break out it ATH.

I think NFT is very unique, especially with the presence of games that involve the NFT system. it's been several game projects almost like this. and the average system is also the same. I hope this is your honest opinion about polkemon and not part of he promotion. if I see it there are still many more popular NFT. like axie many of my friends recommend me about it. but so far I'm still not interested in buying NFT games like this.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: July 30, 2021, 08:53:45 PM
Aside from Bitcoin (BTC), will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee?

Holding long term does not mean that it will provide a guarantee, the concept is to become a believer that bitcoin will reach an all time high again in the future. with great returns. and many people believe it will happen again . basically there are 2 sides 1 who believe bitcoin will be much more expensive than it is now and another side people who doubt anything about bitcoin. if you have decided to become a long term holding, you must first believe in bitcoin.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 30, 2021, 08:36:53 PM
If i found some good casino that offering games that many casino dont have like real poker then they require their player do KYC first, and im on state really want to play that type games i would do KYC, that's the rule from their side. the only strange thing is when if you find some website let you deposit any amount. and when you ask for withdraw they ask for KYC and treat your account like in trouble im also experienced these and its feels terrible.

What do you think about this issue? Do you want to do KYC just for gambling on any platform?
Also added that they are giving new users registered through their referral link some money, and they also require KYC to receive it. I heard that this amount is up to 200$, if you are, would you like to sell your identity to get this money?

if the casino is really trusted and the bonus is pure it's part of a promotion, not a trick to freeze our assets, that's okay to do KYC. this personal opinion
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: July 30, 2021, 07:42:10 PM
If it's a gambling site like that. it's part of their risk and advantage too. because the value of wagering also will increase and higher if compared to a few years ago. what more if directly with the coin is not converted in usd. that's why stable coins or any popular altcoin that have low value are also commonly used as optional.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: July 30, 2021, 07:27:08 PM
If they choose to pay me in Cryptocurrency or fiat, I will never accept fiat but if I must choose crypto, it must meet my requirements.
  • It must be during bear market, so that I can hold them, if they are paid in crypto at all time high, there is likely high chance of loosing much value.
  • If the above options isn't favorable, I will go with USDT because holding is also an hedge against inflation in my darling country who keep devaluing its local currency with stupid policies.

And the point is that you can't accept payments for volatile assets like bitcoin. because there can't be such a thing to only your favor. They will definitely send the appropriate value from the market at that time . There are still many who do not accept crypto payments and I think that is understandable due to the factor of asset transfer fees and other things.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Will some companies like Amazon really 'store' Bitcoins? on: July 30, 2021, 07:24:34 PM
I came through a post here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351319.msg57557132#msg57557132

And it says that will Amazon adopt btc or not till specified date there.

And has been denied the claim officially that the news is not true. but the issue made the price of bitcoin yesterday touch 40k again and after confirming denied that the price has started to stabilize again and tends to fall. it is evident that news of adaptation of large companies concerned or will use bitcoin has a good impact on prices in the market. I also hope that news is right but its only hoax.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to Bitcoin in 100 years? on: July 30, 2021, 07:03:59 PM
IThat's my point. What do you think of Bitcoin 100 years later? Do you think Bitcoin will die in 100 years?

well i hope we all live that long . and I think what you mention makes sense because the world is always evolving towards digital and cryptocurrencies will be common at that time. and according to many predictions that years the bitcoin supply limit will approach the maximum and I think the value is will very high compared to today.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to earn bitcoin using blogger on: July 30, 2021, 06:59:55 PM
I have a blogger site called GNews Ghana ( https://www.gatenews.online) and I want to use it in mining bitcoin. Is it possible to mine bitcoin using blogger though my domain is custom. Thank you in advance for your advice
There is a plugin in wordpress that can set every visitor coming to your website visior will be mining some value in usd but not bitcoin . and their computer when open your page website the page loads will be slow. but I don't think it's worth it because the value are very low there will be no more people coming to your website if that's the goal. The only way to get bitcoins from becoming website developers is trough offering banner to advertise. adding ads revenue. cpc . its mean monetize your website , there is some adv companies accept crypto as payout option.

478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: July 29, 2021, 11:23:49 PM
I heard some of my friends constantly earning income with staking masternode coin . but i didn't really follow what's happening now and it seems that there are a lot of coins that can't be staked but are staked by these platforms. I'm not really interested in things like that there are a lot of risks its more than only holding coin. and usually its needed large capital.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best platform to use for a token offering? on: July 29, 2021, 10:57:28 PM
Also is this forum also being used to promote new token offerings? What would be the best way to promote a new token offering?

From what I see for ICOs, many are promoting through this bitcointalk forum through a sig campaign. social media campaigns. and there are also those who promote with google ads or partnership with some websites related to the crypto community. what is certain is that crypto promotion seems quite expensive and worth it if the promotion is successful. many also offer airdrop and referral systems. all depends on how you doing promotion.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 29, 2021, 10:25:30 PM
Why does Indonesia have such a low sports achievement at the Olympics as well as at the SEA Games? I mean, your capital, Jakarta, has almost triple the population of my entire country, and we've already won two golds and a few bronze medals. We're also very good at the Winter Olympics.

I am in Indonesia and have heard a lot of this news. There are many news rumors that the government is not totally in support of Indonesian athletes. Due to the COVID-19 emergency pandemic. even here people still stay at home and self-isolation and many strict prohibitions for events that invite crowds. So it's no wonder that not as many athletes are sent as usual. and congratulations to your country if you get a lot of medals.
