981  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-E.com - Not Able to login! WARNING - They are not helping me! on: April 11, 2013, 12:01:46 AM
This thread really needs more attention.

Something is definitely not right here

I too am locked out of my account. It happened very abruptly last night and I immediately started emailing support about it. I didn't know about the ticket system until this morning so I opened up a ticket and it took almost 8 hours to respond to it. Now after I've given my username I have waited another 5 hours and still no response.

I had roughly 5BTC in my account, not much, but at the time it was worth about $1000.

To back up just a bit, I registered my account just a few days ago, never got a confirmation email from BTC-e, had to manually request verification by emailing support, and got locked out of my account. Tried password resets in vain, locked myself out of the account several times.

If there are any BTC missing from my account we really need to get vocal about demanding payment. If exchanges keep operating like this then it will just fuel the fire of bitcoin needing more regulation to prevent stupid shit like this.

983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chatbans on BTC-E on: April 10, 2013, 11:50:55 PM
Honestly you probably got banned for using too many caps.

The real reason you shouldnt ever use BTC-e again is because when your account gets compromised they take more than 24 hours to assist you.

Best $1000 I ever lost.
984  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btc-e.com down on: April 10, 2013, 07:23:17 PM
I'm currently enjoying an issue whereby my email address and password have somehow been changed and I can't access my account/

Support has taken 18 hour so far to get back to me.
985  Economy / Scam Accusations / BTC-e Account Hijacked? on: April 10, 2013, 01:48:16 PM
I haven't been able to access my account for the last 12 hours. Every time I enter the password it says password invalid. I've gone through 4 of the 30 minute lockouts. Password reset link doesn't email me, etc etc.
I never ever keep more than $1000 USD in my account but I am really concerned none-the-less.
I've sent numerous emails to support with no response. I just found their ticket support system so I am going to do that.

Does anyone have experience with this? Does BTC-e replace funds up to a certain amount?
I feel like I caught this pretty quick, but I'm completely powerless to do anything.
I'm hoping the account got locked because it was logged in from too many locations or something like that. Worst case I'm out 5BTC.

I'll update when I get more information.

Just kind of looking for reassurance here. Never been swindled using BTC before.
986  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: IS THIS SHIT FOR REAL? $10k+ for a pre-order????? on: April 05, 2013, 05:13:39 AM
These are expected to earn BTC. At today's difficulty, that's ~4.5BTC/day. If the price was $10, that's on $45/day. With the price currently at $89, that's $400/day. Can you see how the increase in the price of BTC affects the increase of the price of these hardware pre-orders?

If you don't understand this, I will gladly buy your early-date pre-order for what you paid for it: $1300.

The price of BTC will fluctuate so if you buy a rig that mines 4.5BTC/day and the price of BTC falls to $30... Can you see how the price of BTC makes paying $10,000 USD today for a machine you MIGHT get 3-6 months from now a real losing idea.

If you don't understand this, I will gladly sell you MY early-date pre-order for what I DIDN'T pay for it: $500. ... and I will give you the same assurances all the eBayers give you like a nifty .jpg of some invoice for $1,300.

I'm glad this thread is still going. I'm sure you'll notice that today BFL announced a price doubling of all their units. Discuss.

I'll go 154 for mine.
989  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 4x Radeon 5850 Rig - Used Excellent on: April 01, 2013, 02:00:32 PM
Free shipping offer only valid for $750 and above.
990  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 4x Radeon 5850 - Used Excellent on: April 01, 2013, 01:46:54 PM
Offer is $425 for 4 cards?

For entire rig + 4 cards, new price would be $700?
Would you accept free shipping?
I would be interested in buying the entire thing.
I'd assume going by the picture, all 4 GPU fits into one rig?
So when I receive it, I can immediately start mining litecoin
with all of them?

Any heating issues?

I would ask for receiving first, before payment.
Unless you can provide me a good reputable source.
I have a long list in my signature.

Best regards
Lightlord

Sorry about that, I responded to too many PMs about the PSU and forgot to add it to the listing.
I didn't think the rig would get so much interest so I didn't list it initially.

The rig was running off a 1000w rosewill that slowly petered out.
Instead of buying a new one I opted to sell the rig all together.
If you prefer I would happily install a new PSU and not upcharge for it based on neweggs current pricing... about $100.

Yes $700 would be new bid for entire rig complete with cards, $800 with a new PSU.
All 4 GPU's fit into the rig. I have put rubber spacers between them to attempt to maximize airflow.
There are no heating issues in a room temp atmosphere, about 60-70C per card.

I will only accept BTC and use escrow, although I don't know who to use after learning Kluge is out of the game.
991  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: First BFL ASIC! on: April 01, 2013, 05:56:16 AM
Unfortunately for this bet, Luke posted 36 minutes after April 1.

And this one has the power requirement which wasn't met.

But still great news.

Does the bet specify a timezone?
992  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 4x Radeon 5850 - Used Excellent on: April 01, 2013, 05:40:04 AM
Cards and rig are still available!
At this point I'd like to request no more PM's please!
Current offer is $425 for cards only.

Bitforce Single Upgrade - paid September 13th, 2012. Will ship you my existing FPGA. Order number high 7000's. - Asking 160 BTC
Not an avalon but still considerably less than 270 BTC, at it's a pre-order.

996  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: IS THIS SHIT FOR REAL? $10k+ for a pre-order????? on: March 26, 2013, 04:48:31 AM
Based on what they're going for I'm tempted to put mine up with a really high reserve and see what happens.
