981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 29, 2024, 10:11:13 AM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

That depends on what level of addiction these people have.If they go to work,take care for their families by fulfilling all their needs and only playing every day with their remaining amount of money then their addiction is not that much of a problematic one.If they at some point start surpassing these limits and start changing things by leaving something missing from their family needs it is here where gambling addiction becomes a really problematic one which can lead to extreme bad consequences so it must be addressed as soon as possible by asking for professional help.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 29, 2024, 09:13:57 AM

~~~
I watched a lot of interviews with players who smilingly talked about how they lost for months, losing almost everything in their lives. Starting from the apartment and ending with the trust of loved ones - which I consider in each case the most expensive loss. So, these people then got a very big win, and often it was so big that it would be possible to return all the material goods sold. But these ludomaniacs did not fix this profit. And they played on and lost.
That shows that these people deserved the most expensive loss which is the losing of the house and beloved ones as nothing replaces them.The fact that even with that huge win that could replace the loss these guys continue to play showing that they care about nothing except gambling means that they deserve such huge loss.If they were good persons they would immediately fix their errors with this big,huge win rather than to lose it all again for a second time.
983  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 29, 2024, 08:26:07 AM
I think is important as it gives you money to do what makes you happy,in this context gambling.However it also poses big risks as sometimes we become mad from our losing sessions and this can lead us to inject more money from our salary to chase our loses.This is a very dangerous place and moment as addiction lies right there.If this happens to anyone being single without family the impact is not as bad as someone who has a family to care as the money needed for the family needs can go to satisfy the gambling desire.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {OPen}A multi-bet has failed with the lowest probability, normal:2023-2024 on: January 29, 2024, 07:40:37 AM
I think the title takes all the context, right? Smiley
But...
I actually don't remember in the short-term having failed a multiple bet with the lowest probability, maybe in the short-term, I think one from Barcelona last year, but it wasn't less than @1.10, so, select @1.09 as limit for your story*...  Wink
This post is a "sentimental*" thread with a placebo effect, yes, that the despair of seeing a multi bet fall with a  lowest "@" is not something of the gods of bad fortune, in addition, sport has an influence.
-/Question/-
I think basketball is one of the least reliable for low probabilities (@<1.1) and Tennis is the safest...
Do you agree?
e.g.
You are not alone and don't feel sad but when you play multi tickets you are not really playing sport betting,rather you are playing lottery as  with each bet you add to your multi ticket you dramatically reduce the chances to win that ticket.I know that feeling as I was let down in a similar bet by a NBA favorite with odds of 1.07 which should have been a sure win.I soon after that came to the conclusion that is not worthy playing low odds in a parlay.I don't know but lately has become super difficult to even win a parlay with odds of 3 or just a bit more than that.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2024, 07:13:08 AM
If Inter will win next week to the serie A will be over.
Next week we will have Inter Juventus
big match next week. and inter are favored in the match. because inter milan will act as the host. if Juventus lose then inter will very easily win the Italian league championship. but the actual can not be declared champions and finished because the number of matches is still a lot. it could be that inter in the next match could slip losing points either draw or lose.
Only 1 point away, so it cannot be said that Inter can easily fight for the title. Moreover, Inter's next match will be more difficult because they will also face Roma after fighting Juventus. On the other hand, Juventus should be able to take advantage of the next 2 matches to get full points because they are against bottom teams. The battle for the title this time will probably only be dominated by Juve and Inter, because Milan has quite a big difference in points. But it doesn't rule out the possibility that they will be able to wipe out the rest of the match so they can keep the two teams on points.
Inter have one game in hand, so they have a better chance of staying top of Serie A... Although they certainly need to beat Juventus in the next match to gain three points and stay in first place... It is difficult to predict who will be the winner, because both clubs are in great shape now and they have no rivals in the standings... Both will play only to win...
That is an absolute must for them to have piece of mind and a better psychological level for the rest of the season,they need to beat Juventus in this upcoming game.They sure have the players and quality to do so but they have to be careful as in direct matches against Juventus they usually have suffered,so in this context it becomes even more important for them to get the win.
Juventus is in a great shape but they failed against Empoli which is a good sign for Inter to not fear and get this win which can decide the title this season.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: January 28, 2024, 10:09:37 PM
Razor Shark is one of my favorite slots game that I'll never missed to play although only few tens spins.
Let him try.
At least he will know the reality once he experience by him self before he see a big win from other user. He will think, f*ck these is hard to hit the bonus while he playing on top slot from (Relax, Push, and other).
After that, he will move to pragmatic play again ~xd
Interesting. In the past I used to think that Pragmatic Play slots were not that rewarding. My wins on those slots were always below 100x, but then one day I won this
on Twilight Princess by Pragmatic Play, and it was my personal record 1,172.75x of my bet
and I've changed my mind. I'm not winning anything big since then, but at least I know, Pragmatic slots can deliver.
I think that is why you are wrong,normally it depends on the slot but lately Pragmatic Play have been really really bad as slots people are struggling in all casinos to hit something decent with them.I don't know what happened to them but to me it looks to win huge in Pragmatic slots nowadays is much harder than passing a difficult math test.
I personally have shifted view and got back to Play n Go,I usually play 30-50 dollars and I feel better knowing I have played my chances better as the bonus there will fall within such range playing with minimum bet of 0.10 while in Pragmatic slots even catching the bonus in base spins is becoming mission impossible.F*ck them as the worst provider for me.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 28, 2024, 09:00:48 PM
Girona is putting a lot of pressure to Real Madrid during this time and I think they are a great team capable of facing Real Madrid in Bernabeu on 4th February.Before that encounter Real Madrid has an away game against Getafe sitting in the middle of the standings right now which if Real does not win this game then the pressure on them will be even higher.Personally I think Girona is living a fairy tale now and I would support them against Real Madrid for this simple fact,I would love to see a fairy tale in European football as it is a long time is not happening.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 28, 2024, 08:35:53 PM
The Champions League equation is getting tougher for Barcelona. Despite Barcelona being a big team and a big team, this team is currently losing most of their matches in La Liga or Champions League. Barcelona lost 2-3 against Antwerp in the last match. Against Barcelona Napoli are performing better than Barcelona. Barcelona's chances of going to the next round are very low with the way they are performing but if Napoli can improve their performance and if they play seriously in the upcoming matches then Nepali can qualify for the next round. There are many reasons behind Barcelona's poor performance but the most notable reason is that both Barcelona's defense and midfield are weak. Barcelona is not able to perform well in big matches due to weak defense and midfield.
I think what happened in the past doesn't have any influence, it's true that Barcelona is a big team in Europe, but this season their performance is quite poor.
From what happened in the La Liga match, we can predict that they will not be able to do much more on the Champions League stage because what is left in the UCL at the moment is the best team and in terms of quality, most of Europe's top teams are currently far above Barcelona.
This is inevitable because after all, with Barcelona's current condition even though they can actually still be said to be good in terms of performance for the Champions League, but in Domestic competitions they are in chaotic conditions and this could be eroded and carried over to the Champions League which could disrupt them.
The current situation of Barcelona is in an unstable condition and is currently exacerbated by Xavi's decision to leave at the end of the season which will definitely make Barcelona's internal situation even more chaotic.
Financial problems that are allowed to drag on in the end become a time bomb for them because indeed sooner or later something like this can definitely happen and I think Barcelona knows about this, it's just that they seem to turn a blind eye and don't really want to question their chaotic finances even though this has backfired on the club's performance and that's happening now.
It has only affected them in that they don't spend mad money and can't afford to buy a lot of players like they used to. Otherwise it's up to them, but I agree with you that it will definitely affect the Champions League. It's hard to talk about the team in the context of a possible win when they are in such a mess internally
Of course you cannot expect of them a possible Champions League win during this season as they simply have not the quality players required to achieve such thing.They are not doing that well in their domestic league either where they are only in mathematically in the title fight while I believe they to not have a chance to win it this season.Of course financial problems can have some serious impact in any team be it great or small as it cannot let the management to buy good players to improve the team,in some other cases even force good players to go away from the team because of such problems.
this is not a casino - this is a lottery
users pay with a credit card, but not with cryptocurrency, that's why we're interested
As long as you are getting money is good for your business.I know though that merchants that accept credit cards pay some commissions which with crypto can be very low.If you want to push more users to pay with cryptocurrencies then you need an aggressive campaign toward crypto.You can add a section to your website to tell your users how easy is to pay with crypto and you put a detailed how to document there.There is no other solution except good marketing to promoting crypto payment
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 07:18:56 PM
Quote
KPHO reports that one of the man’s neighbors called 911 and said 2-year-old twins were running around alone outside a Peoria-area home with an aggressive dog.
The neighbor reportedly told police the twins were outside for roughly 20 minutes, running near the street before he called and brought them inside his house.
...
Court paperwork stated Opdycke initially told police he went to a nearby Taco Bell. He claimed he was gone for 30 minutes, ordering and eating his food at the restaurant while leaving the kids at home.
...
However, when Opdycke’s wife arrived, he asked to speak to officers alone and changed his story.
Opdycke confessed that he didn’t go to Taco Bell and instead, he went to Desert Diamond Casino around noon, five hours before police were called.
...
During a search, authorities said they found Opdycke had winning tickets from the casino and over $2,000. He was booked on one count of child abuse.
Father arrested after leaving 2-year-old twins home alone for hours to go gambling, police say
The urge this man felt to gamble was so high, that he didn't even measure the consequences of leaving two 2 years old kids at home alone to gamble at a local casino for 5 hours straightforward. Imagine the state of mind of this man to give more value to his gambling session than to the lives of his two young kids who could need him anytime.
Luckly there was an attentive neighboor to call the police, otherwise the dangerous dog or any other potential threat on the streets could have severely harmed those kids.
That is insane to say the least.What kind of irresponsible person is that,he should not be a father at all and I don't know if he had a wife or not but should definitely get some jail time as a minimum.The children could have been damaging themselves by playing games as they don't know a thing at that age of two,they can swallow something which God forbid could have killed them or anything similar like starting some of the devices we have at home like the oven for example or the gas and be killed by that.I am still having difficulties to understand this type of person.Once I have been alone with my 3.5 years old daughter and I opened my favorite browser to gamble at home while she was playing with her toys in the carpet,I was also watching her for any misbehavior so definitely this person needs some jail time as a minimum.
It is really difficult to understand Marcus Rashford. He has been inconsistent over the years. For example he had a wonderful season previously. Under Erik ten Hag's management Rashford also played a significant role in Manchester United to start fixing their problems. His performance played a really good role in his team to join the Champions League as well.
But now we see a Rashford who has lost his way.  Sad  He doesn't look very keen on finding it either considering his general performance level so far. While he is one of the most crucial players for the Red Devils this is making a bad impact on the results.
But at least, Marcus Rashford still has goals this season although not many but yes, at least Marcus Rashford can still score goals and that's not bad at all when compared to attacking players who can't score at all. Because after all, the reality is that Manchetser United have experienced a decline in performance this season and we also cannot blame Marcus Rashford completely for the poor performance and results for Manchester United this season. Because yes, basically the Manchester United squad this season has decreased in performance and thus, Manchester United is still stuck in the middle of the Premier League standings until now.
Since the coming of Ten Haag as a manager the performance of Manchester United has been very volatile to say the least and what is worse is that has been in deteriorating form since he took over.I think his choices were all wrong since the time he put Cristiano to the bench and applying his radical ideas which in the end didn't pay out and the fact that he is still coaching them I see no way how the management of Manchester United still keeps him in power.I would have fired him since some time now as he had some really bad lost games.I see no improvement whatsoever under his leadership and if they continue with him most likely a single damn thing won't change.
At Liverpool he achieved great things and may be at Liverpool will win the title again this year most likely.His work will be remembered as a great one and now the next manager will have a mountain to climb if he wants to win the heart of the heated Liverpool supporters.He needs to become one of them in order to win their hearts.I don't understand this decision but I also don't judge anyone decision to leave a team,maybe he has come to a level where he knows that he has given everything and he feels not anymore motivated to continue,he also ruled out to be coaching a new team in England so I don't know what to think for his future career.
Madrid isn't going be additional GP. They're going to replace Barcelona track. Personally for me, Barcelona is one of the most boring old school tracks, but I don't want to see it replaced by another soulless street circuit. It looks that one day we're going to reach point when in F1 calendar there will be more street circuits than old-school tracks. From business perspective it's logical, rich cities have more to offer for F1 than these tracks. But as old F1 fan, it makes me sad that such great tracks like Istanbul, Sepang, Mugello or Portimao don't get spot in calendar and getting replaced by city circuits or boring tracks in Middle East
I didn't know that Catalunya track was going to be replaced by this new track in Madrid. But truthfully it wouldn't be bad to take this action.  Tongue
Because I mean the Catalunya GP is mostly boring so I think the same as you. Because there aren't many areas for the drivers to overtake themselves. The biggest opportunity is on the start straight. Other than that it is much harder. For us the spectators it is really important to watch as many overtakes as possible to be more excited about a race. This is why Monaco track isn't one of my favourites either.  Grin
And the thing is it's gonna be a street circuit in Madrid, so that at least would make it somewhat interesting since it's something new.  But we'll see, I hope it isn't somewhat of a disaster like how the Las Vegas GP was.  The fans that went weren't as many as expected.  But then it's not in Europe where F1 is really popular...
And Spain has a couple of their guys on the grid, Sainz and the legendary Alonso.  Wink  Pretty sure the fan turn put over there will be huge.
I have no doubt about fans in any F1 race in Europe.Just go and look in statistics,last season or the season before the crowd record was in Silverstone,near 500.000 fans during all weekend and that is a huge achievement for this sport.Silverstone is a legendary circuit and British people are well known for being great sport fans but near the same we saw in Netherlands,Italy and of course Spain itself,so I have absolutely zero doubts that the F1 circus in Madrid will a huge success as an add on to the street circuits to be raced in.
I think though most Spanish persons love MotoGP more as they have quite some riders there but also F1 they will be great fans I am sure of this.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 01:07:57 PM
Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.
However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.
I think that gambling addiction can lead to domestic violence based on the type of person the gambler is,if he is an aggressive type of person by nature chances are high that his aggressiveness will lead to further such type and become violence with the passing of time if the gambler loses in continuity and cannot support such happening.There are even worse situations when the gambler is a sore loser and does not accept loss which may further aggravate the situation in big domestic violence.This is different if the gambler is a good quiet person by nature,this thing even if he gets addicted will not happen and I talk by my personal situation here,no matter when I have lost big because of addiction that has never led me to even raise my voice let alone domestic violence,so overall it depends on the gambler's personality.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 12:28:50 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?
I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.
That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.
Maybe.That depends on the type of character you have,personally I am a cold person and when I double the bet I am not driven by emotions but by logic,I say to myself that I have such remaining money and I will double the bet in order to try and win something big,whatever happens no matter if I win or loss I am not driven by emotion I am driven by this logical choice.I have done many times wrong choices but they were never from emotions,people who usually are emotive tend to dictate their choice through emotions,people rational tend to dictate their choice by logic.I know that the odds are against me when I am playing slots yet I say to myself maybe this is the time I hit it big and decide to double the bet,not for any other reasons,the end result is the same though,be or not be a person who is dictated by logic or by emotion,it is loss in the long run.
I also think it is a good thing.The Catalunya track is great but only one place to overtake and that is the big straight at the beginning.From the layout Madrid track shows like a great fast track despite being a city circuit with lots of overtaking possibilities,it looks a bit like Singapore yet we are another time in Europe and it is great to be in Europe,a city circuit fast enough to be great for spectators to enjoy.I of course think that Monaco is still with us because it is one of the GP-s that had almost been there since the beginning of F1 and it has historical and sponsorship ties more than it has anything to do with F1 racing.
I see more activity in this topic, so does anyone know if we are going to have prediction pool again for new Formula 1 season 2024 and when it is starting?
Yes; I'm fairly certain we will have a 2024 F1 Prediction pool courtesy of Steve and our friends @ Sportsbet.io  Smiley
Great to hear this.The season of F1 for us here was not boring at all compared to the other fans who just saw Verstappen dominating,we saw it too but we were more focused on our choices and that added a great level of entertainment to an empty F1 season dominated completely by Redbull team.Chances are high they will dominate again this season and without a pool most of the fans were not going to be motivated to watch every single F1 race while with the pool going on I am sure everyone participating would watch any race no matter who they are a fan of.
P.S:Hopefully even better prizes this season as is the third one  Grin.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "loaded slots" scam on: January 27, 2024, 04:48:33 PM
I think there should be more discussion warning about scams here.
This particular scam is pretty old, and goes all the way back to a time where slot machines were physical coin toss and lever machines with actual spinning parts.
Back then it would actually kind of make more sense. A "loaded" machine could in theory give out more rewards.
But people unaware to the scam wouldn't know that hitting a jackpot doesn't actually pay from the money the machine holds anyway even back then. So we're talking about a scam that has been around for ages actually.
But surprisingly it's made a resurgence.
There's scammy ads and promotions all around. Someone claiming that if you pay them x amount of money, they'll give you some very secretive sets of information about what slot games to play and when, in order to get surewins.
It's important to emphasize that this is an outright scam. Slot machines, especially virtual ones, are based on chance alone.
So the term "loaded slot machine" does not apply at all. If you have ever seen someone believing in this myth, do your best to dispel it.
If we're going to gamble, at least we should be educated about it and do it in a healthy manner, without falling into the trap of fallacies.
As you say it yourself there is no such thing as loaded slots.At first I used to believe that too as in some casinos,reputable ones tell you the percentage of money or RTP that the slot is currently in.I used to choose slots that had a 63% monthly meaning that slot had eaten a lot of money and should pay out.The reality was completely different from my expectation and the slots never paid out meaning the concept of loaded slot is just a myth and people wanting to scam now are capitalizing on this myth in order to cheat newbies.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 27, 2024, 04:17:57 PM
The bookmakers only provide odds @1.50 for Atalanta but i can understand why the odds for Atalanta is quite low today because they only facing Udinese which is this team is categorized as weak team this season and Udinese records was very bad because during this season they only gets 2 wins and for Atalanta they currently in the good shape especially from their last match Atalanta can able to gets the winning result with big scores from Frosinone so this result can boosted their morale and Atalanta seems very confident they can able to beat Udinese and collect 3 points today
Last update from Atalanta squad is Teun Koopmeiners will be doubtful to play because got injured and if Koopmeiners can't play today i think this is big lost for Atalanta because recently Koopmeiners performance was very impressive because although he is not a striker but Koopmeiners was very sharp because from 3 latest matches in all competitions Koopmeiners can scores 4 goals however about this match although the odds for Atalanta was low but i think this is safe bet because big possibility Atalanta will being an the winner of this match
Atalanta have been an improving side overtime. They've had some rough edges but their performance in the league is still seen. Even though they may not be top trophy contenders, they're trying to stay in the domestic league instead of relegating. Which is more important, maybe with time they would develope better and start contending for the title.
  They're currently playing host to Udinese and goodnews is they've been able to net a goal which still puts them in and advantageous spot of finishing with the complete 3points. Of both teams, there's struggle atmosphere present and even though the visitors won't take mercy with them, the both teams will strive to see that they either win or get a draw at the end. One would have to wait patiently for the game's final result. There'll definitely be an addition of points on both teams.
This time though despite many thinking they have done well I think their performance is still in downfall compared to the last season or two seasons before where they played great football.I agree that they are still doing fine in Serie A compared to what they used to be,a team at the bottom of the standings usually,a team going back and forth between Serie B and Serie A and as such they can be considered a team in continuous improvement overall.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: January 26, 2024, 03:19:17 PM
This question really sounds ridiculous, is gambling a job? Please it's very wrong to treat gambling as a job, because by doing so, all your hopes and attention will be on it, and it's just a matter of time that you get addicted, which to me is the end game of every gambler.
One thing I have observed about gambling is that, when you make it as your source of income, it put you in a very difficult situation whereby you start chasing, and when you start chasing, that when you lose more, it's really wrong to think you can make a  career out of gambling, the only thing you will achieve by that is to get addicted, nothing more.
Not really, because there are people who try to make gambling their job, and they think that gambling is something they should prioritize. They will gamble more often and will use more money even though that doesn't guarantee they can win. Yes, they can become addicted because they often gamble, and it will be risky for them, so they should rethink making gambling their job. There are still many other things that can be used as their work and they can still look for jobs that can make money. It will be better for them because they can get a good career in their job so they can earn more money. Those who want to make a career in gambling can think about becoming an employee at a casino so that it can provide income for them.
Gambling is not a job where no one will get a certain amount of money at a certain time.  Some months he may have huge profits and some months he may have heavy losses.  Gambling will never give you only profit even if you have long experience in gambling.  So gambling cannot be a successful career for anyone.  It can only give temporary fun.  So those who start thinking of gambling as an income stream or a career are going to lose big
There are only two type of "species" constantly in success while gambling and I will name there.The first category are the streamers who keep playing with sponsored money so they don't care much if they win or lose in the end they will always be in profit as they are playing with casino money.
The second category is the people who go live on Tv,live streams or some other way where they are also playing with sponsored money im the sense they enter for example in poker tournaments free and can win huge amounts of money like Pokerstars which was held some years ago on Tv.Beside these two categories everyone else is a loser.
