9886  Economy / Services / Re: Website Preview: BITADS.NET. Now Pay-Per-Day! on: October 10, 2013, 06:33:53 AM
Is it normal to receive the default "Your Ad Here" ad on every single placed ad space? I would absolutely love to use this, but there's no point if I'm not going to get a single ad. Is there some waiting period or something?

Ads are only shown if advertisers buy one for your site. If they don't, you will not be earning money.

It's not an ad network like Adsense; it's like BuySellAds (ie. the advertisers manually choose which sites to advertise on and how much they want to pay).

So is there any general rule for how long this might take for, say, a Bitcoin faucet? Other faucets with similar amounts of traffic have ads, so I assume it's something that a bit of patience can cure?
Yes. There are times that advertises just don't buy ads. I recently had no ads for over a week. And there were times that almost nobody had an ad for a while. Kinda annoying, but nothing you can do about it.

-Just checked your faucet-
Oh, another Inputs.IO faucet.

Well, it sounded you had some bad luck and the gambling gods decided to make you just lucky enough to get it up to 1 BTC. Good move that you withdrew that. I have seen a lot of people win big and lose it all. Well, gamblers will be gamblers right?

Just a quick tip.
I advice everyone using/trying this server to create a worker with a password which they don't use.

While it is a good generic advice, I do not really see the point here. What harm can come out of everyone knowing my miner worker user and pass? The only outcome I can see is others mining for me, which they are certainly welcome to do.. ;-) Am I missing something obvious?

To the OP. An interesting idea, but If you have hashrate at your disposal, why not use it yourself?
There are people who re-use their password constantly (yes even in the BitCoin World). If OP has their miner password, he COULD get access to other accounts. Also, miner names (aka. nicknames) are often re-used too. You see where I am going?
9894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XPM PROOFS! The only physical representation of the first scientific crypto! on: October 09, 2013, 06:58:39 PM
LOL, what a fucking joke... Whats next, physical hobocoins and physical shitcoins... i cant believe how stupid people are here.
Why can't someone show their support for a coin? You could say the same about Physical LiteCoins or even Physical BitCoins.
I never used PrimeCoin, nor do I intend too, but this coin (and the casing) looks awesome.

Yes, it does. Now we get what you want from us Tongue Well I bet you can find someone. Free money, who doesn't want that?
9897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experimental virtual scrypt mining on: October 09, 2013, 06:37:47 PM
I don't get what you want from us. Do you want a miner? Do you want someone to use your miner? Do you want us to mine for you? What?

I find the title of this topic and the current first post very misleading, because nobody will get that 1.26198125 BTC you state in the title and nobody will ever win 50 bitcoins with this. I have checked the balance quite a few times during my time as a member of this forum and it never ever exceeded 0.1BTC (if it even get's there).
9900  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: POLL - Why are you mining? on: October 09, 2013, 12:26:22 PM
I mine a few altcoins for fun and to sell them if they ever get on a exchange, but mostly fun.
