1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: crypto is actually the future on: June 04, 2024, 03:21:28 PM
we as traders want clear trends.
crypto has the advantage that there are still a lot of retail traders in comparison to markets that are dominated by algos run by gigantic financial institutions.

Nah, I gave up already. Posting in this forum is bizarre because 98% of posts are from you guys, and you feel the intentions. I wonder how this is profitable for the announcers since there isn't much interaction from potential clients. It's probably about Google ranking?
It is quite surprising old members ask newbie questions about the forum

things have changed a lot over time. I actually was in a campaign or two several years ago. pretty sure it can be found in my historical data here.

the future of investment that is,

while traditional markets are becoming more and more unpredictable (prices driven by expectation/marketing), cryptos are drawing clear patterns over and over again.
the game is actually flipping over. traditional assets are becoming gambling, crypto is becoming fundamentally backed by historical data.

Can you provide a few historical data to support your thoughts. As crypto is still considered highly unpredictable market than traditional market. It is still hard to predict the price of Bitcoin in 2024 with all the historical data and patterns used.

predicting price is always the wrong starting point anyway. the historical data that support my thought are the well know Bitcoin cycles. we have clear trends that are surfable for the patient people

I think you forgot to mention the volatility in the cryptocurrency market, which for me's the biggest enemy right now compared to other traditional markets.
What I jus really admire in the cryptocurrency market is the accessibility, where you can easily invest, it's more accessible for many.

volatility is just a case of timeframe and position sizing. if your time frames looks crazy, "zoom out". people look at 15min way to much. Bitcoin is daily, or even weekly

ok guys, finally foud a guy that can really explain it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUv27513cfU

you are basically trading unrealistic implied volatility,
and I was actually right because with perfect option prices there is nothing to gain

also, be sure to watch a (not so) funny reality at 15:37 when you don't watch it all.

Well, there have already been numerous companies that chose to promote or market their services on the forum. Many of them have their campaigns running for years, spending thousands of dollars weekly. I don't think they are that crazy to continue spending big if there isn't any profit from it.

The last company I was promoting here was Best Change. Their campaign lasted for more than 4 years, paying at least $2,500 each week. I can't speak exactly as to how significant the impact of the campaign is on their business, but there must be considerable contribution. Otherwise, why would they continue wasting more than $10,000 every month for it?

well, it obviously works for them. I just wondered how lol

I have a hard time believing that you guys would be here 2h a day if it wasn't for the campaign. I mean, there is only so much you can talk about crypto lol.
But I thank you guys for the answers, I don't think my writing style will ever generate merits, so this really is nothing for me.
I think I have some merit left to give, let me see if I can give to everyone
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Explain crypto options to me on: May 27, 2024, 01:48:20 PM

I still don't see the point.

Who specifically will opt for buying options and in what situation?

We can limit risk and leverage without options.

I tried learning about it by going through Bybit's course during COVID-19 lockdowns. Personally, for me it's useless because I'm a mere pleb with a small amount capital for gambling. It would be laughable but shitcoinery with Runes or BRC-20 might be more suitable for a pleb. The Options market is a kind of casino that is reserved for sophisticated whales with a large amount of capital to deploy.

It seems like you can't talk about options without people having binary options in mind. I don't think real options are more of a gamble than any other trade.

There is no magic formula for success in terms of x-hours - x-merits = $100 per week. It is true that there are many people for whom the forum is just a place to work, but that is simply not what the forum should be for. With the attitude "I'm here to earn merits and earn $100 a week" you won't get far - but no one is stopping you from trying Wink

yea, It probably isn't viable at all. Also I hate circle jerking and that is basically what people award.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / participating in the forum in order to be able to access campain in the future on: May 23, 2024, 12:43:05 PM
Do you guys think it is viable?
How many hours do people spend here a week to earn merits?
and than you receive only (max) $100 a week?
13  Economy / Lending / Re: Why do you take a loan on this forum? on: May 23, 2024, 12:37:42 AM
Not that I have ever requested here, but where I live people don't give you loans, not even family members
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Explain crypto options to me on: May 23, 2024, 12:01:35 AM

I don't get what you are trying to point out because you mention futures and leverage and stop loss.

Are you talking about the Binary option? But I never heard of a Binary option that has stopped loss.
If I'm right then the Binary option only has two options up or down and this is very risky because if you lose the total amount you set is fully deducted from your total capital minus the fee if you predicted it wrong that's totally different from futures or leverage trading because there's no stop loss in binary option it is likely just yes or no and it is totally a gamble.

No, not binary options, regular options.
people say they are less risky cause you can only lose the premium. That's why I mentioned stop losses as these provide protection without the use of options.

16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Explain crypto options to me on: May 22, 2024, 03:04:36 PM
So I was learning a little about the "world's largest crypto options, and futures exchange" how they call themselves, and even speed-read their tutorial about options.

I do understand the basics of options trading, but there is one thing I still don't understand: why options?
"limited risk" can't be the main reason to trade options. I get that stop losses aren't the most secure guarantee that your risk is limited, but they do work in most cases.
for "leverage" you don't need options either.

what is the main advantage of trading options? or would it be the main use case?
someone experienced with them could give me a hint?
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: March 28, 2024, 06:09:51 PM
because it actually is freaking hard. An extreme level of concentration, self-control, and patience is necessary.
most will be better off just holding.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommended Forex Brokers Accepting Crypto Deposits and Withdrawals on: March 27, 2024, 07:51:53 PM
just in case a client missed it: Evolve Market is shutting down.
Also, if you ever had an MT4 account with them, you might want to check there since those assets are separate from their normal web pages for some reason. I found coins there I had forgotten about.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Belize banned crypto it seams? on: December 11, 2023, 11:49:23 AM

I wonder how they could even operate for the rest of the year. there must have been a later revision
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Belize banned crypto it seams? on: December 07, 2023, 03:53:40 PM
Probably related to this[1]? I can imagine they temporarily ban businesses from doing crypto transactions because they want to prepare for a better monitoring system, and then resume it after the framework is ready. It is also possible that they ask for other requirements if the business wants to continue dealing with crypto, but the specific broker you mentioned above doesn't want to do it.

I found this, too

check official FSC announcements.

hard to find those
