Hello All,
I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out. I have been using monero since last summer and never had any issues sending coins, however yesterday afternoon (about 24 hours ago) I sent XMR from one of my wallets to another one of my wallets with simplewallet synced via bitmonerod. The transaction said "money successfully sent", but the coins never showed up in my receiving address. Not only that, but 24 hours later I still have a difference between my locked and unlocked balances in the sending wallet. I sent 1200 coins with a mixin of 5. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before, or I am just screwed?
Not sure what to do here given I have over 1200 XMR in limbo right now that cannot be accessed or seen, so any help of any kind would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help ahead of time. Happy Holidays!
AKW
Perhaps a stupid question, but have you actually refreshed both of your wallets? If not, just type refresh in simplewallet (make sure bitmonerod is fully synced). Also, what happened to your other account? Not Stupid! The answer is yes, I was refreshing about every 2 minutes while synced with bitmonerod. From right when the coins where sent until right now some of the coins in wallet 1 are still locked from this tx, and in wallet 2 there is nothing. No coins have been received. BTW, I have sent between these two wallets multiple time, even recently, with no issues. I am positive the address was correct. Any ideas?! I'm kind freaking out... Cheers! I have had this happen to me before. I was using a usb-ethernet dongle and I was refreshed/current with the network, but right before I sent the coins the dongle lost power or something and the transaction never actually went through, though it said it did on my simplewallet. I only figured out what happened about a month later when it happened again and I watched the lights of the dongle go out and put 2 and 2 together. Turns out the funds never left the wallet to begin with, it just looked like it did. Check to see if you have the same amount of monero as before you sent the transaction, maybe check your log or something, but i feel like this is the same thing that happened to me, hope so at least.

Another day and another 3 PRs merged. Thank you cow and pony Another day waiting for the definition of "soon" Our Devs are legendary. I have total faith in their abilities and the sheer intellect of our core team, and even many of our long time members give me the assurance that Monero is -the- digital cash of the future.

Should there be two new Dans added to the Hall of Fame? Sticking with what the current setup is it would look like 9th Dan would be 10,000 XMR, and 10th Dan would be 25,000 XMR. I think Articmine is the only member of 9th Dan. I'm not sure if diamonds would be adequate for these Dans, can anyone think of something more luxurious? I would love to see more people donate. Donations feed the progress of our beloved XMR, and that will make it worth that much more.

Monero 0.9 beta still consumes a lot of memory when I synchronize blockchain that wasn't updated for 15 days.
In Windows 7:
+ Working memory: 2114890Kb (~2GB) + Elapsed time: 2.5 hours (very slow I think)
Is that the first 0.9 Beta or the second?

I've been slowly buying more since I think this is the final time we will ever get to see .00105-.0015 ever again. I've also convinced some more friends to each put in $1k in. I help them get cold wallets to store it in too, I hope they appreciate the effort in 2-3 years when they have several hundred Gs Can't wait for that v0.9 to come, I've been itching for that release for about 7 months now right? It will be worth it to see the reaction of all the XMR Fudsters and non-believers.

Will this miner work on an ATI R9 390 GPU?
Asking for a friend, sorry if it has been asked/answered before, I didn't see.

His screenname is pretty apt too. The key to keeping big rollers interested in these sites seems to be to not limit the trade size too drastically, which seems fine with the current settings. Holy shit! That really sucks for that dude, as much as Monerodice is a great website, people reallllyyy should not be gambling.

Appears to work great, thank you!
What hashes are you pulling with the R9 380? how much wattage too if you cant check.

The weekend of 27-30 August is available in Malla for a Monero meetup. I'd like to organize the event if minimum 10 people enroll. Price for a 4-day event or any part thereof, including airport transfer from Tallinn, the conference and all meals, would be 300 EUR. There are 3 kinds of rooms, all renovated in 2014. Also dormitory is available. Rooms will be added to the bill per night. This short note is just for probing the possible interest, so please speak freely! I would love to attend eventually, but this year it is impossible with school and health issues lingering. I hope you find enough people to allow for the meetup.

Exactly, this should be a non-issue. I would simply ignore them, they seem to be butt-hurt over nonsense.

It's a screenshot from letter by "Moneero" company. They agreed that "monero" is a common word. And now they write us: "We have trademark moneey, therefore you can not use money in domain names" Good, they told you how to refute their claim. Exactly, this should be a non-issue. I would simply ignore them, they seem to be butt-hurt over nonsense.

Would anyone have a use for a QR code for a newly generated account on the offline monero generator page ? I was thinking it'd be nice, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra work.
I think it'd be worth it. I agree, I love me some QR codes.

As long as I get my promised percentage of the exchange program than I am square with Baritus. I wasn't sure if that was going to happen, but I owned around 3% of the exchange shares and I want to be made whole on the promise. Hopefully everything works out.

I will of course provide a bounty to having an open source AMD miner, I believe we need one. Is the CUDA miner opensource? I know there is an optimized CUDA miner for people with big rigs(at least I heard there was), but we need this stuff open to the public and get it more decentralized.
I would provide 500-1k XMR additionally for a bounty, easily, for helping GPU miners get more involved with Monero.

On the topic of bounties, I am looking for someone to create tutorial videos for Monero.
I'd prefer someone who is somewhat of an established community member.
Tutorials will cover getting started in windows & linux, mining, and secure storage.
Please PM me for more information. We can negotiate pricing for each tutorial. These will be of great use to a lot of newcomers.
If I recall correctly, GingerAle already did some tutorials for getting started. So I would advise to PM him! GingerAle Tutorials Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6AgEvNeIFw3fiEzRQ_Yswgugh, I need to make a new one. My idiot self didn't check that the compile instructions had changed. " make release-static-64 " is the build command you should use, if anyone's following that rambling video series In linux you can hit tab to see what commands/options are available. You could tell users to do that and explain generally what which one does: For instance, these are the targets now available: all cmake-release debug-test release-static release-static-arm6 release-test clean debug release release-static-32 release-static-win32 tags cmake-debug debug-all release-all release-static-64 release-static-win64 If you give people general clues like diference between release/debug, static/test , 32/64/win64, etc. The viewer would then be educated to discern what each target means, and even eventual new ones.... or not: GingerAle has been my first go to and I think he is great for the task, but I think he has been busy lately so I wanted to let others know that if they are interested in helping to make these videos that I am willing to pay a bounty for them. These videos will be not only helpful for myself, but for getting new people involved in XMR, especially before the GUI comes out, which could take a while.
