People here really don't get it crypto-currency one bit.
Crypto-currency are about being useful as a currency, what makes a currency useful ?
High fee's, slow transaction times, hard to use and impossible to remember public-keys ?
I don't think so, people that are in real need of a functioning crypto are chosing for Dash,
KuvaCash, ALT36, the people in Venezuela to name a few are moving towards Dash, because you know it gives them the functionally they require.

It's almost a year of EDG projects, and I'm sure prices will skyrocket in 2018, buy now will be very profitable because it is still cheap. The project started long before that. The started before ico platforms where a thing, the ERC20 token option just gave them away for proper funding. I think you miss read my post, I already sold my EDG (with a profit) |

I really like the idea of EDG, and I still do. I much more the profit model any day of the week over that of Funfair. That being said They are not delivering, with 2weeks left still no updates on licences and the amount of bugs in just a single game is really high. Personally I don't think the team can get the job done. I am looking for an EDG clone that can deliver. If anybody can point me to it I do appreciate it. If I was wrong please enjoy my cheap coins  |

Let's see if the price level will hold. I don't see why XMR can't be valued so high. In the end it's a good coin with lots of pros IMHO.

True no on chain scaling will ever be able to rival that of visa and mastercard etc unless there are huge block sizes and this is not practical.
For large transactions on chain is good but for small micro transactions and instore retail where waiting for confirmations is unacceptable on chain just is not good enough this is where off chain is superior and instant.
Think as on chain as your offline savings account and off chain as your everyday disposable bank account
People seem to forget everyone has different use cases Actually there is, you should take a good look at DASH and DASH evoultion roadmap, it's planning to go up to 400mb block per 2,5minutes. |

How come this project has such high marketcap ? Seems to me that only on dev can not compete with, the Golum team or SONM team.

Monero has no competition. Great you post a pro Monero bias article in favor of Monero that incorrectly states facts about other coins than Monero. My info are facts, about all the coins. You can choose to believe what you want, but I take a trust-less coin any day of the week over need to trust code and devs. Not true. If you read the link that you posted, you'd see that the bug was discovered and patched, and it was done BEFORE anyone had exploited it. It was discovered by XMR devs, not by others or hackers. The XMR community voluntarily pays for PhD mathematicians and cryptographers to scrutinize the code and look for weaknesses. The code is all open source so anyone can review it and verify this.
Since BTC devs and cryptographers point out security problems with Dash, Zcash, mixing services, and others, but haven't with Monero, that should tell us something. How can you say not true ? I provided you with an actually proof, the proof is from the Monero team them-self. If you can't see it for what is, I don't know what will. BTC dev's ? which ones ? the ones that are from blockstream ? sure they seem to have the best interest in bitcoin at heart or crypto in general. Or maybe you talk about the guy that actually invented coinjoin, lol he is calling is own invention snake-oil ?!?, sounds legit. At any rate DASH it's privacy has never been broken, the same can not be said about Monero's (older) version's all the while claiming that it was superior to DASH, and trolling and FUDDING at full speed. Simpley switching to another crypto-currency is easier said than done, for starters the company or person your transacting with needs to accept that same currency as well. That being say, if one would move towards DASH you'll get the following benifits DASH - easy to use private functions - instant private sent (if you pre-mixed) - Allot cheaper than bitcoin, and most privacy coins ( transaction costs will be 10x cheaper in the near future) - An improved decentralized coinjoin, giving added privacy. What would be the purpose of Dash now that Bitcoin would adopt soon instant transactions and improve its privacy? I think your talking about segwit and all the features it will bring ? segwit itself will not deliver any of these feature, future development will have to take place and than you will have to trust 3th party's to provide you with those services. For optimal use the company's and or people your doing transactions with most likely will have to trust the same or other 3th party's as well ( I for one am not going to be one of them), aka it's only a solution if wish to offer up the decentralized trust-less part of using bitcoin. Also it will take quite some time for any of this will be setup, and even than it's not sure if everything will pan out. That being said the segwit2x is good for business, at least the 2mb part (as I personally only accept non-segwit transaction, because I want my transactions to be fully registered on the blockchain). |

I am aware of dash it's recent (evolution) roadmap update, and it's plan to do on-chain scaling and I am all for that, but there are also technics such as thin-blocks, that seem to have no down-side for on-chain scaling.
There are multiple good idea's/technics that add benifits to a crypto that wishes to have a fully transparent blockchain. Yet I never really hear the dash team say, anything about it, I would have expected to hear things like: "We know that thin blocks work great for bitcoin, and because they here are only upsides we will implement it, or something like that". It sometimes seems to me like the DASH core team is only busy with there own vision, and do not take the input of other great idea's even do they are available in open-source code. I know the dash team is very busy and is keeping the white-paper of dash evolution internal for the time being.
My question is simple is DASH keeping it's ear to the ground, and picking up these low-hangfruits, or do they (currently) have their blinders on focusing on evolution?

What actual NEW code is being written/created on this project?
Evan was generous to opensource. I think ChainCoin is another Fork. PoS and soon zerocoin protocol... and no instamine for starter. Look at the code you will be surprised. Dash has suffer allot of damage thanks trolling and the stick they swing with is instamine issue which in fact is already a thing of the past , all the while that a great many coins have had or still have issues and they are getting a free pass in comparison to dash ! For instance even bitcoin own creator still has 1milion bitcoin in one bitcoin address. yeah just check last 2 weeks of june (select the date on timestamp) couple of hundreds trades daily Thanks, I overlooked the fact that, the data is displayed per date, instead keep track as one long list. Is there any easy way to check how much they lost or made on those trades ? What investment strategy did they use ? I at the very least does not seem to be strategy based on fundamentals of the coins they investing just by looking at what kind of coins they invested in. |

I have a serious question:
Who is willing to pay almost around 1.43 Dollar for each bet? This is the transaction cost for execution the black jack contract. Every single playing round costs 1.43 dollar.
I think this is way too expensive. This cant work! Good point, but in time I would expect this to run on a side-chain like the lighting network, or simply move the whole project to the stratis or lisk blockchain where it can run on its very own sidechain. |

The discovery of an exploitable spurious issuance or double-spend attack. It happened once it bitcoin, a few years back. Now it has happened once in the cryptonote universe, including Monero. The discovery of such an exploit by talented but unscrupulous persons could have destroyed most of the value in Bitcoin, in the first instance, or that of Monero in the second. In both cases I think the discovery has reduced, rather than increased the likelihood of such a future event, but it does highlight the possibility, and it would be good to have a principled argument for a numerical approximate probability, for rational decision-making. That completely incorrect, and it will do creator no good, the blockchain will stop at that point and everything after that point will be undone, but this can not be said for opaque block-chains, it may already be going on for sometime now.
