Galatasaray's win was certainly the surprise of the night. However, I didn't expect to see Liverpool so ineffective. I wonder what Slot had in mind? He didn't analyze the opponent well. He said he would get help from GvB but it doesn't look like he did that. I think Galatasaray's defeat in the first game against Eintracht Frankfurt misled many people. Many expected this match to be similar. I don't see Liverpool as good as last year, I think they will be far from success this year. Even Slot's seat might be shaken if these bad results continue.

NBA Media Day was held. Teams are slowly falling into place. Friendly matches will be held in Abu Dhabi and Melbourne. Also in Brooklyn, Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Brooklyn Nets. I like to watch games like this because NBA teams and teams from other countries don't get the chance to face each other very often without these events.

Real Madrid and Bayern München won in away games. Apart from them, host teams dominated the matches. Bodĝ/Glimt were 2-0 up but the game ended in a 2-2 draw. All other home teams won.
Atletico Madrid's win is impressive. After Real Madrid, they scored 5 goals against Eintracht Frankfurt too and won. The fact that 5 different players scored the goals shows Atletico's offensive power. On the other hand Eintracht Frankfurt reset their positive averages they made in the first match. After winning 5-1, they lost 5-1. They had conceded 11 goals in their last 3 league games as well. Their defense is seriously alarming.

Beşiktaş's successful coach Duan Alimpijević will coach the Serbian National Team. I think he is the best coach in Europe for the last 2 years together with Ergin Ataman. Alimpijević extended his contract with Beşiktaş until the end of the 2027 season. He will be one of those coaches who coach both club and national teams. I hope this pace won't wear him out. I want to see him achieve success at Beşiktaş for years to come. If a little more budget is allocated to the basketball branch, there is no way he won't be successful.

Beşiktaş played the right game at times. When they scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, we thought it would be a comfortable win. But then they gave the ball to the opponent and unnecessarily gave up control of the game. After Tayfur Bingöl's goal, they had troubled moments. One-different lead is always troublesome. That's why it's important to solve the match early. Kocaelispor is already a team with a certain strength. Beşiktaş absolutely had to win this match and they did it. The game will be better later, a lot of players in the team are new and they are getting used to each other. It will get better with time.
I like Jurásek, he is starting to adapt to the team. Gökhan is now the first choice at right back. Emirhan and Djalo tandem is working for now.

Lazio play the transition game fast. Both the first and the second goal came on the counter-attack. Lazio needed this win, they haven't started this season well. They need to pick up points with wins against opponents like Genoa. They can win against Torino next week and make a series.
This season Milan, Napoli and Roma started the league well. Juventus is still undefeated but they have fallen behind with two draws in a row. I expect Juve to do better this year. Kenan Yıldız is now more experienced and can lead the team.

Liverpool started well but they can't keep it up forever. They'll start dropping points soon. Arsenal and Tottenham are hot on their heels. Manchester City, on the other hand, had a poor start. It's too early to draw conclusions after just 5 weeks. The league is a long marathon and there are still 33 weeks to go. Teams that are behind now can recover and teams that lead now can stumble. There are 6 main contenders for the title. Everything can change over time.

Dördüncü haftada ligin en önemli maçlarından biri oynandı ve Porto deplasmanda Sporting'i yenmeyi başardı. Son iki sezonun şampiyonu Sporting oldukça zayıf bir oyun sergiledi. İlk üç maçtaki hücum zenginliğinden bu maçta eser yoktu.
Bu sezon yeniden çekişmeli bir lig olacak gibi görünüyor. Gyökeres'in yerini Suarez ile dolduran Sporting büyük maçlarda böyle zorlanırsa üst üste üçüncü şampiyonluğu yaşamaları zor. Bu maçlar önemli. Geçen sezon da böyle ufak farklarla şampiyon belirlenmişti.

 Portekiz Premier Ligi başladı. 2024/25 sezonunda şampiyon olan Sporting CP yine favori. İkinci olan Benfica ve üçüncü olan Porto ise en büyük rakipleri olacak. Genel olarak üç takımın çekiştiği bir lig izliyoruz. Geçen sezon 39 gol atıp gol kralı olan Gyökeres Arsenal'in yolunu tuttu. 19 gol atan Samu ve Pavlidis ise takımlarında kaldılar.
