At this rate we'll be back to just 100 pages in a week.  Roll Eyes

Interesting to note that Homero Vlad2Vlad has been deleting all of his comments since the coinfire article. I wonder how many other sockpuppets of Homeors have been busy scurrying back into the darkness?

I don't think Vlad is deleting his posts. His false accusations of Coinbrief are still up...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg10677066#msg10677066

Yeah, some people don't understand the potential repercussions of libelous statements.

It is up for me.  That said, Mike, if you are having issues with the hackers, send me an email.  I'll see if my partner can give you some advice.  As soon as our GAW article went out, we were under attack for a solid 24 hours or so.  Luckily, the other co-founder of Coin Brief is very experienced with internet security.

Btw, sorry for taking over your Hashtalk thread.  I received an alert that someone mentioned me, and when I responded, I was swarmed.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 06, 2015, 02:26:56 AM
He was not the editor.  He was a freelance writer that hasn't submitted an article in ~4 months.  Coin Telegraph, for some reason, decided to publish an article claiming that he was the editor.  I am trying to get it corrected, but they have yet to respond to my emails, tweets, phone calls, or skype requests.

With all due respect it doesn't matter if he was the tea boy or the janitor, that shit is going to stick.   Unfair I know but it will.

I'm not too worried about it.  We will deal with whatever comes our way as a result of this situation.

I think we can report that last post by vlad

Yes, I posted a factual real NEWS link from CNN.

Please, I beg you, don't report me.

Bahahahaaaa.

Yep, you posted a real NEWS link from CNN, yet you did not read it it seems.  Here is a quote from that article:

Quote
The teen is an "intelligent kid," a man who hired him to write for a digital currency news website said Wednesday evening. Dustin O'Bryant, the editor of the website Coin Brief from Alabama, said: "He did not come across as radical in any way."

Notice how the "editor of the website" is referring to me, not the kid who was arrested.

I think we can report that last post by vlad, also this has been mentioned when it happed 20 pages back you're just spamming now oldnews dumb dumb.  He's not the author of the Paybase article Dustin O'Bryant was.

No, the ISIS guy was just the Editor.   haha!

Obviously you haven't graduated highschool.

Any and all articles are approved and reviewed by the editor.

The editor runs and directs the stories which are to be published.

What an idiot.  I hope there are smarter sock puppets than this here.

6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-04] Bitcoin Spies --> Coin Brief Working With ISIS? on: March 05, 2015, 08:03:24 AM
No, we are not "working with ISIS".  We had a writer at one point, who has not written anything in months, who allegedly helped someone get to Syria to join ISIS.  He was just a kid (17 years old now), and I'm not sure what happened with him...but it is a sad situation.

Sounds like a bad situation in all regards
Guess there are all types in the world kind of interesting that it was a chem paper Smiley

Yeah, a research paper discussing the synthesis of nano gold and silver via sonochemistry...aka, using high powered sound waves to create incredibly small particles of gold and silver.  It was quite interesting (especially to me, as I studied Biomedical Chemical Engineering for ~3 years).
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 05, 2015, 04:55:26 AM
People really should read back a few pages before wasting thousands of keystrokes on speculation about things that are already well known. In particular I would read where I noticed an email in the list from Scott Booth which he verified was indeed real:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg10651942#msg10651942

Get real. There were at least 50,000 Emails in that dump last night. It would take someone a year just to write them, not even getting into all of the links and pictures and voicemails and then the DKIM signatures that are in them. If you are an idiot solipsist and just can't accept that truth can be known I think you are in the wrong thread.

P.S: This post is mainly meant for trixter and PC. PC is already on ignore, and now you are as well aptley named wall o text poster. See you never, forget to write! Buhbyes!

This thread is moving so fast and there is so much trolling and FUD that it's impossible to discern what's really going on.

Yesterday morning I saw a screenshot posted here where coinbrief said the emails they leaked were in fact faked.

Was that screenshot legit, were those leaked emails which dropped the price 2 nights ago to .0011, in fact fakes?

Cause now I'm seeing a 50,000 email dump?

WTF is going on?  Are these real or not and who has the most to gain if they're being faked?

If this is all FUD, it is the biggest most elaborate FUD I have ever seen.

Thanks for any clarification!  I hope Coinbrief posts to clarify once and for all or better yet, write another article to clarify or add some color.

Wow Vlad is actually considering the fact that this may, in fact, be legit?  That it may not be FUD?

I mentioned earlier that I was considering not writing another article about this, but I've had enough people asking me to do so that I feel like I probably should.  I don't know if I can get it ready by tomorrow, as there is a LOT of information to dig through...but, I will try to get it all worked out as soon as I can.

The funny thing about the 50,000 email "dump" is that not only was it not a hack.  It wasn't even a true dump or leak.  It was all freely available for a LONG time.  It just wasn't indexed by Google (they don't index Google Groups).  I'll make sure to show exactly how it must have happened, with step-by-step pictures for those that would rather not read, when I write the new article.

I thought about digging through all of these emails, updating the article and/or writing a new one...but, I hardly think that is even necessary at this point.  I guess it is time to get started on one detailing the end / aftermath of GAW's collapse, and moving on to other subjects.  That is, unless I can get even more insight than these leaks can provide.

I think you should still write an article that way hashtalkers will see it. (they will never dig through this thread)

It's also just a lot of info to digest, would be nice if someone would pick out the important parts and summarize it.

Not only that, but the general consensus on HT is that the Coin Brief article was libelous and that you will soon be retracting your story.

Edit to add: I got ninja'd by Jimmothy. I was looking for that thread on HT, there are a bunch of idiots on there going on about how the article is false, even after PC fan admitted he was wrong and resigned from HT.

This is the thread on HT: https://hashtalk.org/topic/32996/coinbrief-article-update/100

Found another post I was thinking of:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/33111/what-exactly-is-going-on-can-someone-post-an-unbiased-account/11

Oh, that reminds me.  I didn't watch the newest episode of "Better Call Saul".  I've been too busy with all of this...

I have to make time for that tonight.

Coinbrief,

Thanks for posting.

Can you comment on the screenshot posted here yesterday where you guys said the leaked emails you wrote an article about were in fact faked and you were certain of it.

Please verify if you guys did in fact verify those leaked emails were faked and if not please add some color regarding these other recently leaked emails.

Thank you!

Coinbrief never said the leaked emails were faked. You are probably referring to this post made by a user who is NOT Coinbrief:

After this was posted the OP admitted he was an idiot and resigned from his position as paid mouthpiece. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg10647824#msg10647824

Vlad, I've already responded to that when you posted it before.  We have NEVER said that the emails were fake.  Others have claimed that, without even the slightest shred of evidence, but we certainly have not.  Want to know why?  Because they are not fake.  The DKIM-signatures prove that they are real, and we have since been in contact with the one who released the emails, and can confirm that the source is not a "hacker".  The emails were obtained legitimately.

It's shocking to see the paid bashers here.

I mean, coinbrief comes out and says the leaked emails were faked and nothing, there is no positive response.

That's not possible.  There can't be that many blind haters on one board which means we have a lot of sock puppets here trying to keep the price down.

If the faked emails don't prove what I've been saying then nothing will.

We never said that...not at all.  The emails are legit.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 03, 2015, 11:55:20 PM
But that only reinforces the "world against us" mentality. I lived in a country like that once, and find it incredible that in the age of free (in all meanings) information people DELIBERATELY choose to feed on propaganda.

Take a look at the Southern United States.  Fits that description to the letter.
These broad stroke are what nudge us toward polarization--I'm sure not every resident of the "Southern United States" are deliberately ignorant.  Come on, man.

Yep.  I am from the Southern United States.  I am forward thinking, accepting, and completely reject any notion of "Us vs Them".

XPY down to 0.0025
I think that thread is making a big dent Smiley

Oh wow, I didn't see that.  Maybe it will hit my $.50 target after-all.  Now I gotta figure out where to get some BTC to buy some more.  haha

So what's the catalyst for this drop?  Must be the news about PayBase being hacked.

I really should have traded/sold half my position as soon as I heard about that yesterday.

Well, now I'm actually hoping we hit $.50, I think lots of people would panic dump at that level so I would probably average down there if I can clear some BTC.

Thanks for the update!
i'm late to the party, was busy at HT and gethashing, but it hit 0.0011 in case you missed it Smiley
I think it was mostly the coinfire article (with info we already knew about Smiley ) and the lack of response. This thread has been good
https://hashtalk.org/topic/32948/gaw-needs-to-respond-to-this/3

Not Coinfire!  Coin Brief Cheesy

We have been around for longer than Coinfire...just haven't been as vocal about GAW for as long as they have been.

oops...well, clearly not my fault, i posted very recently that I had 2 (almost 3) little monsters that consumed my oxygen and time....no, really ,my bad. no excuses.

Its ok.  I don't really care.  I'm just glad that it helped get people to pay attention to the emails.  Before I posted that, most of those were sitting between 200 and 300 views.

Could this mean we're also getting closer to figuring out whether Joe Mordica is a zombie or not?  Tongue

Heh, I looked into that.  There were actually 2 Joe Mordicas in the same city, at the same University.  GAW's Joe Mordica is 2 years older, and has a different middle name, than the one that died.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 03, 2015, 03:15:21 AM

The dates are not important.  The content is what matters.  Some of those emails were absolutely atrocious.

I gotta disagree with this.

Why would someone sit on such important emails, if they are indeed legit?  It implies that they were either implicit in these alleged wrongdoings or they were hoping to get paid which means they are extortionists.

Or of course - the other possibility, the emails have been altered or totally faked.

There is no doubt XPY has been attacked by someone from day one.  Part of it might have been deserved but I've never seen such a concerted attack against a coin or a dev like what has happened against Garza and XPY.

There is more to all of this than meets the eye and the XPY volume and price proves [in part] this possibility.

So I at least entertain the possibility that someone has a lot to gain by seeing XPY fail.  If you eliminate any potential possibilities then you will run the chance that you will miss what's really happening.

Many did this with Bitcoin back in November 2013.

DKIM-signed...

How do you fake rsa-sha256?

oh.. haha. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

the date isn't important? at worst, "he" was sitting on emails for 2-3 months and just decided to release them. that seems mildly important from a context standpoint. "he" claimed "he" has someones lost ipad/iphone from Miami. That date's them back to mid/early January that "he's" had them. So, at best, he was sitting on them for a month+. Not important?  Roll Eyes

The dates aren't important in the grand scheme.  Did this person sit on the emails for longer than they should have?  Possibly.  Or, maybe they were scared of posting them until they knew they could do it in a way that wasn't traced back to them.

It truly does not matter.  The content of the emails is damning, and can be provably linked back to geniusesatwork.com and btc.com.
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 03, 2015, 02:50:54 AM
Anyone know what happened to "gawneedstobestopped"?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=438070

The DKIM-signed emails he/she/they posted were extremely helpful.

Ran out of emails to leak? If they were legit (and I'm still on the fence on that), everything was from back in December/January right? Has he/she leaked anything more recent?

They were legit.  The DKIM checked out, and pointed directly back to btc.com and geniusesatwork.com.  DKIM uses RSA-Sha256, which is pretty much impossible to fake, and I've received emails directly from Josh Garza using the same domain and selector (which refers to a specific private / public key pair).

Yes, they were from November - January, and the November ones werent DKIM signed...but that is consistent as well.  Emails I have from GAW in November or earlier did not include a DKIM signature, but December and on do.

The dates are not important.  The content is what matters.  Some of those emails were absolutely atrocious.

I don't really understand what you mean by "a way to avoid a real discovery".  How would this result in avoiding any real discovery?  The responses, and all evidence, will be publicly available.

He doesn't have to answer any questions he doesn't want to.  Legal will ask him to not answer 80%++ of the things you'll send his way.

In a real discovery, you have to answer questions that are asked.

To me, this sounds like a way to save on legal fees, have the community send you everything they think they may have.

uhh, dude, he has been given numerous platforms to do this... reddit ama, miami in person, even on his own forum with the "30 days of questions/answers" bullshit. why do you think he all of a sudden changed his tune?

don't you find it a little odd that the guy can't answer ANYTHING that isn't pre-screened? this is just another shining example. he does not do/answer anything that he cannot control.

True, he already has 28 more questions to answer, let him start there.

Hrmm, I see your point.  Like I said, I don't really expect much out of this, but I was surprised when he actually agreed to my request for proof that the allegations against him were not true.  Maybe I should just throw some of the questions that I personally have + the remaining AMA questions at him and see what response that garners.

Although a likely futile attempt to get a straight answer, I suggest asking him one simple question:

Mr. Garza, in (250) words or less, please explain how you plain on defending your admitted involvement in what can be easily classified as a classic cryptocurrency pump-and-dump scheme in addition to other ongoing conduct relating to the mishandling of verifiable securities in violation of sections 5(a), 5(c), 17(a), and 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 [15 U.S.C. §§ 77e(a), 77e(c), 77q(a) & 77q(b)], Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 [15 U.S.C. § 78j(b)], and Rule 10b-5 thereunder [17 C.F.R. § 240.10b-5]?

Sum it up with, "Again, please stay on topic, keep it (250) words or less and be specific. Thank you."
