I'm afraid Netherlands teams are really nothing in the Champions League this year. PSV got a horrible loss against a much weaker team like USG. This is enough to understand their current condition.
Ajax lost to Inter. Actually no, that's okay. But I still don't expect great results from them either. We don't have the same Ajax now. The one who reached even the Champions League semi finals once...
That Ajax which was minutes away from Champions league final, when you see what players they had, damn. This season I think that it will be good enough if they will reach playoffs. While PSV, such loss at home against USG is something what I didn't expected. I wouldn't call it as much weaker team, but still, it's surprise. But I wouldn't write-off PSV after one game. Big game tomorrow between PSV and Ajax. And despite that few recent their games ended with Ajax wins, I probably will put some money on PSV. Also, another big game between Feyenoord and AZ on Sunday too. |

This is basic security tips that were posted here so many times. But I guess it's useful to repeat it time from time. Few extra things that I can add. Don't use throwaway email to signup on Bitcointalk. That will make recovery proccess very complicated. If you used such email to signup here, better change to real one. And tip not related to Bitcointalk only, but in general - be careful when you connect to public Wifi networks.
BTW, from what I see problem of hacked Bitcointalk accounts isn't that frequent nowadays. I remember times when half of Meta topics were request to recover hacked account.

Well for once I never saw as many red flags as I am seeing during the official qualifying, already 4 and we are only in Q2 right now while we would be finishing the complete session now. A lot of stupid drivers, we have said a lot about these new drivers coming from F2 and the fact is they are doing red flag after red flag possible. I got a lot bored here, I think again Verstappen is a favorite to be in the top 3 right now while I don't see any real difference between Norris and Piastri, they are driving equal. The fact is the medium tire is doing almost the same performance as the soft red tire so this makes it even more thrilling this qualifying. I think a McLaren win is highly likely compared to Redbull as in here the tires will degrade pretty fast for all teams except McLaren.
I didn't saw it too because it's new record. We had 6 today, previous record was 5 in Imola 2022 and Sao Paulo 2024. I'm wondering what caused all these mistakes from drivers because conditions were good, track was dry. I doubt that strong wind played such big role. Qualifying lasted almost 2 hours, more than most races. Sainz was so close from pole, but damn, Verstappen is doing amazing things, he got fastest lap despite that on his last attempt some parts of track was already wet. I'm wondering maybe it's worth to lose my EBP and change picks because I didn't backed Vertappen as someone who can win race. |

Rio Ave is been beaten by Porto, currently it 0-3 and I have a feeling that how the scoreline is going to end. Porto are currently doing absolutely very well, they now have 6 wins from 6 games played. An early goal from Rosario helps put them in a very good position and some minute later Samu doubles the lead.
Porto remains the only team with 100 percent record In the league as they have not drop at least a point, winning their 6 matches.
This season I think Porto will be a very contender n challenging for the league, they are moving in a good direction so far, let see if they can keep it up.
This is something what was expected. Rio Ave is one of weakest teams in league and I will be surprised if they won't relegate again. While Port not only have perfect record so far, but they conceded just 1 goal in 6 games. Very impressive and after few disappointing seasons now they're looking like contenders again. Benfica is playing with AFS, it will be very interesting to follow Mourinho debut. And first challenge for him doesn't looks that difficult. |

I was thinking the same here. They play more games and maybe need to manage better, or at least they will play one half. So I guess, expect more draws?
I also saw Aston Villa got knocked out, I had a feeling they would go far. BTW EFL cup qualifies anyone for Europe? Maybe Conference?
When you consider everything, Championship clubs playing so many games during the season. Especially if they reach later rounds of EFL and FA Cup. Yeah, not that much as clubs that play in Europe, but still, impressive. I actually forgot that EFL Cup gives spot in Conference League. I thought that you onnly can get into Europe through FA Cup. |

I blame the government for this senseless killing. How would the government allow an individual with mental health issues to roam the street? I read he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and couldn't get medical assistance because a mental health hospital couldn't admit him due to a lack of space. I think he should serve life imprisonment without parole because he is a danger to society.
I don't understand how person like he was in freedom. With history of his crimes and schizophrenia it was obvious that he is dangerous for society. In general I'm not supporter of death sentence, but in cases I would support it. I doubt that prison can fix person like he. Offcourse, there is option to keep him in prison for the rest of his life, using tax payers money to feed him. What also shocked me that someone started campaign on GoFundMe platform to support killer, as it was written ''fight against the racism and bias against our people,. This left me speechless. |

Today is the last day of games from the first gameweek,some really good matches today, Manchester City Napoli, where we can see for what is this super Napoli, and Newcastle Barcelona is maybe the best one to see.
Sad that de Bruyne comeback was so short. He was replaced shortly after Napoli got red card. And this red card decided game, after it Napoli had no chance to save result. Barca got win at Newcastle, best Rashford game for Barca so far with 2 goals, 2nd his goal was amazing. Eintracht humiliated Galatasray 5:1, despite conceding first. Didn't saw this coming. Same like Brugge getting big win against Monaco. Bayer only took 1 point afrer scoring goal on 90+1 minute. |

It's likely due to Monaco's narrower layout, which makes overtaking less likely. Furthermore, the sprint race format has fewer laps, so there's less spectacle. Meanwhile, a sprint race in Singapore makes more sense. Although both are street circuits, Marina Bay is more spacious and has slightly modified the layout, making overtaking possible.
I was sarcastic when I mentioned Monaco. It wouldn't make any sense to make sprint where it's impossible to overtake. Singapore is something similar. I think it's bad decision to make sprint in this track where we don't see many successful overtakes. Yeah that is the ongoing rumor.

Yet again, this round we have only a few teams battling one another, so the picks are limited it is what it is. Maybe in the upcoming round, well have more teams to choose from. Just a suggestion: maybe add Hoffenheim and replace Freiburg, or consider including Lille, PSG, and Marseille. I know Ligue 1 is sometimes considered a bit of a farmers' league, but they do score a lot of goals there.
I haven't looked at this week games yet, but I'm sure that I will find something to pick. I think last season there was some discussions about adding Ligue 1, especially when one of 4 leagues goes to cup or winter break. But it was decided that we stay with current format. And Trofo is right, available teams is updated once in five rounds. |

Giannis' comment related to Turkish flag on social media made me quite sad as a Turkish person. However it is quite mean to threaten his family like this. I hope that the necessary punishment would be given to this person.
These toxic people are harming the unifying spirit of the sports.
What Giannis said isn't cool, but it's not the end of the world. Fans also should behave more civilised. Emotions is high and you can say or write some things that you later regret. Benfica's current squad is already very good. Like the players who have Mourinho (or another quality coach) are able to do a good job.
Lage was never a coach that the fans liked, everyone predicted that this would happen.
Now we have to wait and see if it will really be Mourinho who will be the new coach. So far, it is practically the only name spoken.
I believe it's not official yet, because they are trying to reach an agreement with all the candidates for the presidency of Benfica (which has elections in October) and accept to stay with him until the end of the season.

League phase is finally about to start. One of the opening matches is between Athletic Bilbao and Arsenal. I see it like a good betting opportunity because Arsenal are given 1.84 odds to win the match.
Fun opening round so far. Arsenal got a win, they were better, but it took them a while to score. Union SG makes big upset by winning big against PSV away. In first half it looked that I waste my tim watching Juventus - Dortmund. But damn, 2nd half was completely crazy. After first few minutes it looked that Benfica will destroy Qarabaq. But they managed to make huge comeback and win game 2:3 Very poor performance from Benfica. Real struggles against Marseille, but takes a win despite red card. Most typical Real Madrid. |

Still playing them all but it started to feel like job and not fun. There is just too many pools and too many scores to fill, I can't stand those correct scores predictions any more. Come Friday I have to fill out Bundes, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Premier League, Cross League goal madness and Fantasy - which is way too much then comes Tuesday and I have to send BSFL answers and fill this one and Europa League one. Than there is also F1 and NFL. You can't say that isn't too much and I am complaining while I am responsible for half of them.
That is 12 pools I am currently playing. And I turned down UCL fantasy and Cricket.
Can relate partially. Last season when I joined Championship pool, I said that's my last pool. This season we have 2 more pools and I didn't said no . When I fill predictions of some Championship teams that I didn't even saw playing for whole season, sometimes it feels like filling Excel file at office. When I will stop getting joy from all these pools, I probably will stay with pools of leagues that I follow most. Anyway, in general number of participsnts of these pools isn't going down. But when you consider that if you want to play in all pools, it's already quite significant amount of money. |

He has the potential to become a complete basketball player when he develops. I don't know if he currently has a club, but one of the teams competing in the EuroLeague should definitely sign him. He needs to be transferred to a team where he can play. I wish Fenerbahçe management would act sooner and bring this young player to Fenerbahçe. There is no chance to see him in Europe anytime soon. He played for high school and now he is planning to play in NCAA until NBA Draft. Muurinen is projected to be drafted in the middle of first round. I enjoyed watching how he played in Eurobasket, he has potential to become great player. And some of Muurinen dunks was just sick. Fibland basketball future is bright. |

Damn, it was one of best finals of Eurobasket ever. Congratulations to @AHOYBRAUSE, congrautlations to Germany. I know there is many people from Turkey, I know what you feel now. It was great tournament for your team, but it's not how you wanted to end it.
Turkey were better for bigger part of game, but damn, how Germany played in clutch moments. Bonga was unexpected leader, Theiss 3-pointer and important points of Schroder who had difficult game.
Few words about 3rd place game. Greece controlled whole game and it's crazy how they choked in last 2 minutes. But Jantunen missed really good shot and saved Greece. Giannis after game said that's biggest his career achievement, bigger than NBA champion ring.
Crazy fact that we didn't had any overtimes in whole tournament.

It's funny that no one chose either Juventus or Inter  It was hard to expect even a total of over 4 here, but in the end it was 7 goals. It looks like Inter is out of the title race, after this round the bookmakers will most likely sharply revise the odds and Inter will fall from 2nd place (they had a big advantage over the third) to 3rd. Overall very good, 3 title contenders is something we rarely see in top championships for many years. If someone before the game would said me that it would end with 7 goals, I would call him idiot. Such results is something that you can't see coming. And despite this result, Serie A teams is still going to be rare choice for me. If last season Atalanta was safe pick in many cases, now under Juric it's different story. And I wouldn't draw such early conclusion about Inter yet. |
