It is different niche of products, you know gaming chairs or computer peripherals have to make commercials as well. Can you imagine better target audiance than gamers? Beer and football go hand in hand, while drinks like Monster are big esports sponsors. I am sure they have their math sorted out.

Also new generations are watching more and nore esports while football numbers are dropping outside major events like world cups or premier league. I even heard arguments to shorten football matches in order to better captivate young viewers who can't keep concentration for 2 hours straight.

As i said, like or not, we all have to adapt to new ways or we get left behind. Maybe new offaide rule gets implemented to all leagues and it will probably raise the number of goals significantly and maybe boost some other stats.

It's true, new generations barely can keep attention for 2 hours. It's not just about football, but also other sports too, I think there was similar talk in NBA. And also, TV probably would prefer to have 90 minutes divided into 3 times 30 minutes each instead of current 2 halfs  and 45 minutes to include more commercials
I really hope that new offside rule won't be implemented. I think that now everything is OK with football that we have now. If I would want to see more goals, I would watch handball or futsal. If I'm not mistaken, they're going to try new rule in some youth championships to see how it goes.

back to topic, Vondrusova make it look easy to become first unseeded Wimbledon winner in Women open era
and Djokovic should claim 24 GS tomorrow, @1.53 it is a really value bet
Feel sad for Jabeur, it should be very painful to lose 2 Wimbledon finals in a row, but Vondrousova made history today.
Yeah, odds for Djoko looks not bad, but probably I'm going to look at other markets too to get more value.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: July 15, 2023, 04:50:39 PM
I don't know about you guys but this is my favorite pool, followed by Champions League. That doesn't mean I do well in it, it's just my favorite league, with my favorite team and my favorite sports.

I will send PM with payment details. Always a good idea to pay as early as possible because BTC always higher end of season Wink

Barca just got slapped with UEFA fine. I have a feeling it's more bad news coming Sad
La Liga is my favourite league, but seems that my own performance is getting worse each season. I hope that I will do better this year. But even if not, getting yellow caps with free bet rewards helps to recover what you paid, so, it's great deal even if you don't fight for top places.
Going tp pay sign up fee for all pools over this weekend if nothing will go wrong.

Another rumor, Madrid is ready to get a GP in the near future.

The "city" is doing the paper and the work necessary to ask for the permit to be a site for the GP.
Please don't tell me that it would be another street circuit... I think there is already enough such kind of tracks. As I understand, Madrid would replace Barcelona GP because I doubt that Spain would have 2 GP's. Ok, it's not most exciting track, but I still would prefer it over street circuit.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 13, 2023, 10:26:52 PM
Yeah the only way to bet the heavy favorites in women's soccer is by goals.  There is zero value in trying to bet them to win.  You basically win nothing and in an event of a draw by some miracle ypu end up getting crush.  Wait until the later rounds or bet goals you have it right that's the way to attack this tourny
It's scary to imagine how big score in England - Haiti game can be if England will play full power. I think that some games easy can reach double digits of goals scored. Though, now I'm checking results of previous World Cup and there is not many big results. Only USA 14:0 Thailand is something what you won't see in men football at such level.
For main contenders group stage is just warm up, usually they have one opponent in group for 1st place, but serious things begind in playoffs.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: July 13, 2023, 10:18:34 PM
Probably biggest upset today is Balzan big win against Domzale away 1:4, odds for their win was @7.00. Big statement, but still wouldn't say that they're in next round 100% already. Maribor failed to win against Birkirkara, terrible performance of Slovenian clubs against might opponents from Malta. While all 3 Maltese teams didn't lost today, probably it doesn't happens often.
Vaduz loss at home against Neman is also somewhat unexpected.
Embarrasing performance of clubs from my country. Panevezys was heav favorite against Milsami, but managed to waste 2:0 lead and game ended 2:2. I see flashbacks from last year games against same opponent. While Hegelmann - it's beyond shameful to lose 0:5 at home when your opponent isn't even considered as favorite today. I think that Shkupi is only team who are 100% in next round already.
986  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you handle borrowers? on: July 13, 2023, 09:58:45 PM
I don't have much experience with such situations because I barely get requests from someone that I would borrow money them. And there isn't that big circle of people that I would lend money and have my trust. You know, when things comes to money, people often change into bad side. And if I would get request to borrow really significant amount of money, something like $5000 - $10 000, then I would suggest him to go to bank.
So, usually I get requests from friends to borrow something like $1 or $2 when they don't have cash and want to take coffee from vending machine Smiley.

didn't saw odds, but I think that Ons should be a favorite here
last year finalist, should have more chances to win this one than Vondrousova, but everything is possible

Svitolina was not focused on the match, you could see that on press-conference after winning over Swiatek, but Vondrousova win in two sets is really remarkable, on the other side Jauber won over Sabalenka was tougher, in a more interesting match
Yeah, Ons is favorite is favorite in the final. Don't want to understimate Vondrousova too much, but she had much easier path to the final. After all, Jabeur eliminated good looking Kvitova, last year champion Rybakina and now probably main favorite Sabalenka.
Tomorrow mens semifinal. If Sinner will managed to win oneset against Nole, it will be already good achievement, while other match between Alcaraz and Medvedev should be much more interesting, though Alcaraz is favorite there.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: July 13, 2023, 03:15:50 PM
Conference League will resume later this day and I see few known names mainly Puynik that will play tomorrow, Alashkert too. The other teams are less known and some of them never heard about them. Second qualifying round will be held in a week and hopefully these games will be a bit challenging although I don't think they will be.
If Pyunik and Alashkert from all these teams is best known for you, then most likely you're from Armenia Cheesy. But seriously, from all these teams which playing today, just few have experience to play in group stage.
Not going with big bets today, mainly some over 2.5 goals and BTTS markets.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 13, 2023, 03:06:29 PM
Watched first semifinal and my prediction already won't become true as Svitolina lost to Vondrousova. Svitolina didn't looked fresh today and from her body talk it didn't looked that she can win today. Though, at one moment in 2nd set it looked that she can make comeback when from 0:4 she went to 3:4, but then Vondrousova won break.
Other semifinal is final worthy match and nothing surprising that score is 5:5, both players winning their serves.
990  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: July 12, 2023, 10:45:04 PM
Another strange bug I noticed, I don't know if it's the same with others.
In the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5459386 there is no BPIP Rank and Earned Merit data, while in several others that I checked, this data appears normally  Huh

Op for example
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/11/ZNflc.png
There is another strange thing I noticed and I guess it's also related with last downtime. User is shown inactive, despite that he logged in last time just few days ago. After refreshing profile on BPIP everything is OK again.
991  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 12, 2023, 07:41:40 PM
I’m not sure how real this is and I didn’t put in the time to fact check it, maybe one of you want to. However, this is a shacking use of social media type apps to assassinate a rival. Seems almost too far fetched and movie like to be true, but it also seems very plausible and simple to pull off. A good case of social media sites having unintended consequences.

https://twitter.com/stealx/status/1678741923400384512
It's true that he was posting his activities on Strava, you can see profile here https://www.strava.com/athletes/14384072 And it's possible tht it helped to assasinate him. Haven't checked Budanov profile that like this post, but most likely it's fake anddon't really belongs to Budanov.
It's not similar case in this war. There was stories that Ukraine managed to get exact cordinates of Russian bases thanks to post of troops on social media. And then release some HIMARS rockets to it. Something similar happened in Makkivka on New Year's Eve. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/1/3/makiivka-attack-explainer So, it's good example why you should stay away from social media when you at war.

I don't think the Russia-Ukraine conflict will end easily. Russia maintains war with Ukraine. On the other hand, Russia wants to take some parts of Ukraine for which they are continuing this war. Because if Russia can occupy some part of Ukraine then it is their own gain.
Thank you for very interesting and deep insight, you really said something new.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 12, 2023, 07:22:19 PM
RBR's way of changing their driver is quite aggressive. Anyone who didn't live up to their expectations would be replaced whenever they wanted. Well, this makes sense considering that Nyck's performance has not shown any improvement at all and maybe F1 is not a suitable place for Nyck, maybe Formula E can accept him back to compete there.
And as for Daniel I am quite excited to welcome him back to F1 as a new driver at AlphaTauri. Daniel is a pretty fun driver in my opinion, it's just that yesterday he didn't fit in at McLaren, hopefully at AlphaTauri he can adjust and improve his performance even better than he did at McLaren before.
It's his debut season in F1, so, I don't want to judge him much, he wasn't extremely bad, but in general, de Vries didn't showed any signs of improvement in half season that already passed. That's harsh reality of F1, especially when you're in Red Bull system - show results now or you will be replaced.
It's a bit relief for Perez as hisseat is safe at least until end of season.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: July 12, 2023, 03:13:30 PM
Personally, if fee will be 2 mBTC, I'm completely fine with it. I will play regardless of what fee you will set. It would be nice if we will get at least 20 participants in both pools finally. I don't believe that there is no 20 people on Bitcointalk who are interested in La Liga and Serie A and ready to pay some money to play, while EPL or Champions league is getting 60 participants without problems.
Will it be allowed to pay for both pools in one transaction?
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: July 12, 2023, 03:05:43 PM
Well, my fears about playing in Faroe Islands wasn't without a reason as it was dull game and Ferencvaros was far from winning it. Anyway, other part of my parlay also wasn't successful as Balkani made upset by beating Ferencvaros 2:0. Zalgiris disappointed me too as they didn't showed anything against Struga. At least Qarabag saved my bet on last minutes.
Not that much options to bet today. I'm going with HJK and Slovan parlay with bet boost and over 2.5 @1.62 in Farul - Sheriff game.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 11, 2023, 04:31:59 PM
Jesus, what happened to her? Svitolina killed her in the third set with an easy 6-2. It was the second time that they meet, but Svitolina is 76th on the WTA. That's why I don't like women tennis... Always full of surprises.

Was the game over before the deadline for after? I'm not in the cup so I didn't wanna wait for the last second to send my answers.
Well, Svitolina was Top 15 in ranking before maternity break, so, it's not that Swiatek lost to no name player. But yeah, most part of game Swiatek didn't played her game. And in general, she isn't doing very well on grass, 1/4 final is already her best achievement.
If I'm not mistaken game ended before deadline and I waited until end of it to sumbit answers
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Prelim Qualifiers on: July 11, 2023, 02:40:03 PM
9 qualifier games today and plenty of options to bet. I'm going big with Zalgiris ML against Struga @1.50. Odds isn't high, but I'm very confident about Zalgiris win. Lincoln Red Imps - Qarabag - over 2.5 @1.65, it shouldn't be very difficult for Qarabag. Going with over 2.5 in Spartans - Maccabi Haifa and Olimpija - Ventspils games with similar odds. Ludogorets and Ferencvaros parlay @2.45 looks like good option, but it shouldn't be easy for Ferencvaros, playing conditions usually is very difficult in Faroe Islands.

You should check out the conference league teams in the first round if you haven't already. I swear some of these names sound so random, almost made up: Egnatia, Niedercorn, Penybont, Cosmos... Cheesy
Yeah, some of these names looks like AI generated or unlicensed teams from PES Cheesy
997  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 10, 2023, 10:05:39 PM
Meanwhile Turkey agreed to support Sweden bid to join NATO and now Baltic sea basically becomes lake of NATO. First Turkey released Azov commanders, now supported Sweden bid to join NATO. From neutral country now they're turning into unfriendly country for Russia.

https://t.me/vert_i_call/12669

However, many NATO countries have ratified it, such as Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, etc. - and from their point of view, this is a war crime.
If these countries who ratified convention would supply cluster bombs to Ukraine, that would be war crime. Now they can be against, they can condemn this decision, but it doesn't really matters.

In general, this is a good sign for Russia and for the whole world. There are many signals that there are very active behind-the-scenes negotiations between various participants, one way or another involved in the conflict. I think that with a probability of about 80%, this topic will lose its relevance towards the end of this year in connection with a peaceful settlement between Russia and Ukraine. There is also about a 20% chance that there will be a new phase of escalation in the fall, most likely related to the desire of Poland and the Baltic States to also participate in military operations against Russia. For Russia, this is an acceptable option, it will probably end with new territorial acquisitions. I assess the risk of nuclear escalation with a full-fledged direct confrontation between Russia and NATO as minimal. I assess Ukraine's ability to reverse the unfavorable course of the conflict during the current counter-offensive as zero, I think this counter-offensive has almost completely fizzled out. And there will be no next chance for Ukraine.
Ok, some random % based on nothing more than personal expectations. So far you weren't doing very well with future predictions, but continue. And dreams about more territorial gains when Russia was taking Bakhum for how long, 10 months? Oh, I forgot, it wasn't even Russia but Wagner.

Great to see that bot is working again. Already got first notification after quite long time. After using bot for quite some time, few last days without it using forum become not very convenient and react to replies on time.
Not that it matters so much, but as I understand we won't get notification for posts and other things that happened during downtime?

Another painful defeat and I'm still in relegation zone. Good part that my closest opponents aren't doing much better and I still not far away from them.
Now it's cup week and I see just 6 questions there. It seems that you guys struggled a lot to make questions when there is nothing signficant and big besides Wimbledon isn't happening right now. At least there is no questions related to esports Cheesy. This time I'm going to submit answers just before deadline, I hope it will help me with with Wimbledon questions.
1000  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 09, 2023, 08:27:54 PM
It looks like a gesture of desperation from Biden against the backdrop of empty NATO arsenals. It won't fundamentally change anything on the battlefield, but it could split the ranks of NATO allies, many of whom have already denounced the move, and rob the US of "moral high ground" if it used to be. The use of cluster munitions can be qualified as a war crime.
So, you want to admit that Russia did war crimes by shelling Ukraine with cluster munitions? Or you trying to deny facts that Russia used it in this war or as you call ''special operation?
But as I said, Ukraine didn't ratified convention against cluster munitions, same as USA. And Russia too. So, there is no point ot look for war crimes there.

Let me guess, Jewish Gay Traitor agrees with Islamist Russophobe to liberate transsexual Nazis from captivity.
Without going deep into details - yeah, something similar
