While there is at least few weeks until we will see launch of first F1 cars, today Mclaren released design of their livery. It's difficult to spot difference as they made minor changes. You can see it in link, lazy to upload photo from phone.
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/mclaren-2024-f1-livery-mcl38-launch/10566302/
Probably biggest change will be in Sauber design as they're no longer with Alfa Romeo and Alpha Tauri if they're going to change their name.

Also, Russian attacking Sweden is very unlikely because, even though that country does not belong to the NATO, it is still part of the European Union. It is a big diffirence between being aggressive against a non-aligned eastern European country than attacking a Nordic country like Sweden.
What excuse could Russia possibly use to try to fool their population and the world about their reasons to wage war against Sweden? I can't think of anything.
Yeah, that part about Sweden doesn't makes much sense. If Russia would prepare for another invasion, I doubt that Sweden would be their first target. Probably it would Poland, Baltic states, Finland maybe.

Makes sense. It is widely popular among Ukranian youth that zelensky gets $1 for each Russian or Ukranian killed on the battlefield. If Zelensky takes a high interest loan now before he fled and let Russia takeover, it would be Russian responsibility to pay the loan. What we need to remember is organization like IMF, World Bank, EBRD, EIB has already provided huge loans with higher interest rates and they expect to get return on it.
I heard many conspiracy theories about Zelensky, but this one is something new. Getting $1 for each Ukrainian and Russian killed is cheap, he would need 1 million people to get killed to become millionaire.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: January 16, 2024, 08:39:08 PM
What is more surprising to me is the fact that he has a solid lead in the LaLiga pool and in the BSFL he can't get out of the relegation zone. A month or so ago I was right behind him in the LaLiga pool but after a few lousy rounds I fell behind.
It only shows how much different things prediction pools and BSFL. It's so difficult to be good at both, but so easy to be bad at both games Cheesy.

Forgot to mention I love the inclusion of Dakkar rally -- used to follow that on TV in my youth, and I think it doesn't get the love it deserves. This Sainz guy, I'm backing him to be a legend in this year's edition. He's already fallen to second place at today's stage so it doesn't look good on me, but I won't use VAR and allow this to take its course. He still has a healthy lead but more importantly, seems to be the least error-prone, so the penalties on the ones chasing should see him through.

He's 62. He had spinal injuries in his last race after a crash, has a habit of retiring races early but man his performance in this one...

Alongside sad news that a driver has passed after an earlier accident. Dakar is hellish and the drivers who brave it are something else.
Sainz is one of biggest legends of Dakar. And yeah, he is 62 already, but rally raids is one of rare sports where you can be competetive at such age. BTW, if someone don't know, Sainz is father of Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr., maybe one day we will see his son in Dakar too.
Sainz lost quite a lot today to main opponent Loeb, but still have over 20 minutes lead. 3 days remaining, everything still can happen.
And yeah, sad part of Dakar that almost each year it takes life of participants. RIP...
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: January 15, 2024, 09:09:49 PM
Porto had a very easy victory in that game, I had a lot of doubts about whether or not I should bet on Porto and given the amount of indecision that was going through my head I ended up deciding not to put Porto in my parlay, but I was very surprised by With this result, I expected it to be a game in which Braga would be able to cause a lot of headaches for Porto, I expected it to be a very balanced game. but it seems that Porto in this game came with too much force for Braga to handle. Congratulations to Porto for the victory in a game that was supposed to be a difficult game, with this victory Porto continues in the race for the title and knowing that in the Portuguese league as long as we don't see a big difference between the top team in relation to Porto, we won't be can rule out Porto as likely champion
Didn't included Porto in any of my parlays, went simply with their ML, but bet was quite big. Their win was very comfortable that I can't even say something about the game. Though, their dominance doesn't reflect in stats at all.
So, we already reached half of season, Sporting leading with 43 points, then Benfica with 42 and Porto with 38. Unlike in some previous seasons, this time we don't have clear favorite to win league, even Portvstill hold fairly good chances.
385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War ukraine time is up now it's time to build up ukraine invrstors are ready on: January 15, 2024, 09:01:17 PM
If everything would be so simple as you say... Fact that Ukraine reached agreement with BlackRock and JPMorgan doesn't means anything. There is lot of various kind of agreements reached, but everything will go in action only after end of war. And now there is no signs that war may end anytime soon. Unless you know something more than we know.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 15, 2024, 08:43:14 PM
Cape Verde aren't no weak team. Infact,  they play better football than most of the supposed favourites.  Like Egypt and Co. Remember Cape Verde borders with Portugal and some of their players are of Portuguese desert.
For me it looks strange that Cape Verde is understimated so much. Yeah, they're not powerhouse, they don't have stars, but it's good level mediacore team, definitely not one of weakest in Africa.
BTW, surprised to see Bebe in their squad, one of worst signings of MU in SAF era. Always thought that he is from Portugal.

At his point, I just need to look forward to round 2 and hope it turns out better than this round. I expected Cameroon to draw today, they have not been in very good form, but yet I hesitated to take the chance.

Hopefully the next round goes according to the expected plan.

I haven't checked table until now - didn't thought that I'm doing so bad. Now only way is up Cheesy.
387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: January 15, 2024, 08:30:16 PM
It seems that Ukraine has downed an IL-22 and a A-50 EWC. These are seriously high value targets in the range of hundreds of millions. Ruzzia has only 30 of these.

Something out there is hunting Ruzzian planes and it seems to be hungry.
There were only 8 A-50 planes in service, but it doesn't means that all these planes is ready to fly. And loss of such plane isn't just about money, it would take years to build such plane from scratch and I'm not sure that current Russia is capable to do it.
Il-22 worked as command post, they managed to land it. But when you see how much damage from shrapnel it good, I doubt it's possible to repair it:
https://twitter.com/RALee85/status/1746872033185563018
Some Russian channels raised version of friendly fire, but I doubt about it. These planes almost from start of invasion were flying same route daily in Azov see triangle between Crimea, Berdyansk and Rostov, it's difficult to believe in such version. Now is question what Ukraine used to reach it, after all, distance to Berdyansk from front line is quite significant.

I already lost this round before waiting for results of last questions. I got burned by Barca again, but as I said in other thread, I just can't go against my team. Congrats to cls63 with a win. While upcoming final rounds will be another battle for me to avoid relegation. Fortunately my direct opponents aren't doing much better.
Didn't expected to see Dakar question, I thought that I'm only person in whole forum who follow Dakar Rally Cheesy.
While Hanball EURO, one crazy thing from it. Yesterday Faroe Islands managed to reach draw with handball powerhouse Norway. First, I have no idea how they managed to qualify to EURO and now they achieved such crazy result:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMTNDCnqspY
Over 5000 Faroe Islands supporters where at arena yesterday, it's like 10% of their whole population. Love such underdog stories.

DAMN! i just realized there were 4 games in AFCON, on the question i thought it was 3 games so that's why i answered 6 or less, I need to learn and read properly 😂 There are 4 goals already and 2 games to go.
Yeah, it's a bit confusing. They mentioned 3 Sunday's games, but whole question is about all 4 opening games. When I answered it, I had 4 games on my mind, but just wasn't right. Not sure did they made question in this way intentionally to check how carefully we read it.
389  Other / Meta / Re: was gambling board restricted from merits? on: January 14, 2024, 04:39:58 PM
Ok, what you can merits in topics like ''Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles'' or in 1155th page of topic about one football leagues? I don't argue, there is good posts made in this board, but they get lost in sea of boring generic shitposts just after few minutes. C'mon, even people who are posting here barely reads other posts, so, don't expect that merit sources will search for merit worthy posts there.
Though, I don't think that merit distribution is such bad in Gambling/Gambling discussion board. Maybe you're just posting in wrong topics. From what I noticed, most merits are rewarded in self-moderated topics, topics of prediction pools andin general, topics with less activity. And maybe your posts just aren't good enough to get merited?
390  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The story of Betnomi.com (Exit Scam) on: January 14, 2024, 04:15:47 PM
The refund drama of Betnomi hasn't ended successfully yet. People are still waiting to get their funds back.
https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/se5UJ.jpeg

In the meantime, Betnomi team (Sorsis and other admin of their telegram group) is back with a new project. They may refund a part of the users to gain the trust again for their new project, but everyone should remember the shady things and behaviour of Betnomi team.

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/sWo6q.jpeg

No one knows how bigger and long lasting their new scam project will be. Perhaps, they will finalize everything by observing the reaction of the gambling community after the refund drama.
Oh, I already forgot about Betnomi as I haven't heard anything about them for a while. How unexpected (not) that people didn't got refunds. I guess that only not so big part of their users filled request, as others simply weren't aware about it. But Betnomi didn't even bothered torefund part of their users.
They're starting new project when they didn't refunded customers of their previous project, what is pathetic. These who are going to use their new project have no common sense anddon't respect themselves.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 04:00:09 PM
Damn, who could have thought that Girona wil drop points against Almeria - worst team in league which still haven't won any games. Highest scoring La Liga team against worst defense in league and game ends 0:0. They can't waste points in such way if they're really dreaming about La Liga title.
El Clasico in Supercopa final starts after few hours. Don't want to get hyped too much and hold big expectations. Real already showed what they can in crazy semifinal.

I cannot ever choose Real so that's my weakness in BSFL, or even any pool, good luck to you. I need 3 points but as long as both play amazing we must see the deserving team to win. Xavi says we must dominate Real lol I wonder if he has been watching our team Tongue
Not that I can't choose Real, but when they play with Barca, I simply can't go against my team. Maybe it will cost me points, but I simply wouldn't feel ok going against team that I support.

393  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: January 13, 2024, 07:01:37 PM
Remember when more than year ago Russia were spreading narrative that Europe is going to freeze without Russian gas in winter? Well, it didn't happened, but now something similar happening in various parts of Russia:
https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-cold-heating/32770198.html
https://theins.ru/news/268286
282 houses in Liptesk stays without heating, -30°C tonight. Karma is bitch.

Our town has welcomed around 500 Ukrainian refugees and they all seem to be nice people unlike most of the fake refugees that came from parts of Africa. Both Ukrainian and Russian people should leave their countries en masse and let the glorious leaders on both sides and their families fight each other to the death and go back when they are finished.
There is one difference between Ukrainian and African refugess. First one is really running away from war, second one is mostly just searching for better life and want to live from benefits. Though, significant part of Ukrainians belongs to second category too.
But how you can imagine almost all people of Ukraine and Russia leaving their countries? It's impossible.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: January 13, 2024, 06:45:31 PM
important win for Partizan to stay on a positive note, and wasn't looked that way in first half
we were broadly down, but somehow reemerged to win this one
happy about the outcome
it seems that HT score is not replicating on FT score Partizan matches lately

Olympiakos lost after winning strike
Efes won important match to stay in the race against Virtus
Making comeback from -24 and winning game is one of biggest comebacks in Euroleague history. Yesterday I already wanted to write post asking what's wrong with Partizan, but fortunately I haven't done it.
That Efes win against Virtus after so many losses is huge relief for coach Can and also keeps their hope for play-in alive. Solid Baskonia win against Olympiacos

What I took from this week is how unpredictable this league is.
Ok, ASVEL Lyon is also a bad team but a 25 point home loss against ALBA Berlin squad with basically the same problems and bad season in both EL and domestic is just too much.

These 2 teams are underperforming hard this season.

This weekend is bringing us some nice games domestically. In France 3rd place Paris ( which is strong this season ) is hosting the best team in the country, Monaco.
In other leagues there are also nice games to follow so the weekend is set for people that love to see nice basketball from Europe.
I''m not really sure what ASVEL is doing in Euroleague... Theyalready changed 2 coaches this season and after club sacked Pozzecco, ASVEL owner Tony Parker criticised him so much that it didn't looked professional at all.

Speaking about domestic league. Just watched Lithuanian league game, derby of Vilnius between Ryas and Wolves. Happy for my club Rytas easy win, it was away win for them, but 90% of arena supported Rytas because Wolves is plastic club without any real fans. But I'm so disappointed that Rytas can't play in Europe so well, even against weak team, we had another shameful season in BCL which ended for us so early.
395  Other / Meta / Re: Did you notice something a little weird? on: January 12, 2024, 08:16:05 PM
No, I didn't noticed it. I simply don't have time to pay attention to such tiny things which don't have much importance. It's normal thing that it takes some time for certain data to get updated and reflect on user's profile. If it's question of seconds or few minutes, I don't see any problem at all. If it would take hours until rewarded merits reflects on profile, then it already would be an issue.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 12, 2024, 07:56:18 PM
Gunther Steiner lost his position in Haas.

Big L for F1, he was a loved person in this world.

Not clear yet why this decision has been done.
When you look at their results, maybe this decision doesn't looks such surprising. After all, they were last in constructors championship. With limited budget thatthey have you can't expect something amazing from them, but they want to compete with teams like Sauber, Alpha Tauri and Williams.

Haas actually did alright in the last 2 years or so, after the whole period of Mick and that Russian kid, they got all the money they possibly could from the sponsors, and then used that money to build a better car and get better drivers as well. I do not mean that they are doing wonderful, but for the amount of money they have, they are doing fine at least.

Haas is a poor club and no matter who is at the top, they will not do much, you can put Horner or Wolf there and they would still not be doing all that well, I still think that it would not be all that ok for them to handle it. I think it is going to be an issue where you will not end up seeing them achieve anything good, it will cause some trouble. Haas made a mistake with this decision if you ask me.
Yeah, when you look were they been few years ago, now they're doing prety fine. Haas were so desperate toget some money that even agreed to paint thair car with Russian flags. And then this story with Rich Energy sponshorship
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 11, 2024, 09:38:19 PM
I was already missing Bundesliga. Time to return with full intensity with all leagues played + AFCON pool. Maybe it's worth to expect some strange results after winter break, but maybe not from Bayern.

Actually came in here only because I just heard about the passing of Beckenbauer. Too young to see Kaiser in his prime but at least we enjoyed the fruits of his labour in Bayern that somehow still echo today. Never mind WC Russia, all is forgiven.
RIP, der Kaiser. Offcourse that I haven't saw how he played and didn't saw how he worked as managers, but it was one of the iconic players, afterr all, not many defenders have won Ballon d'Or
So many football legends lost in recent few years - Maradona, Pele, now in few days of 2024 we lost Beckenbauer and Mario Zagallo...
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: January 11, 2024, 09:25:43 PM
I really want Barca to win the cup but I feel we're way to weak at the moment. Osasuna will be a tough battle in the first place so final is itself not a given.

Between Atletico and Real, I feel we have a better chance against Real more recently so I'm hoping for a big Clasico final. Atletico is too good for us but Real we will have psychology edge, in my opinion.

What do you think guys?
Damn, what a game between Real and Atletico it was. Nobdy didn't saw 8 goals coming, expected to see low scoring game. But it was such pleasure to watch. Atletico was close to win game in regular time and then in overtime from reaching penalties. But Real is Real, they have mentality to win such games. Ancelotti didn't even celebrated that Real goal in extra time, he just raised his eyebrow a bit.
Not much joy watching Barca game. Yes, we won by 2 goals - it happened first time since September I head it right from commentator, didn't conceded goal, but that's all. How Barca is playing, it doesn't gives much confidence before the final.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 11, 2024, 09:15:44 PM
Finally paid for signup. It really hurts to pay such big transaction fees, but didn't had other choice as I'm not able to pay with other currency.
Really have no idea whatto expect from this tournament, so, going to follow insights of people who have some more knowledge about African football

Are there any teams other than the host that will have a home atmosphere in Ivory Coast? Not really familiar with politics there, will Guinea/Ghana have any advantage or not?
Good question. For example in EURO, no matter who is playing and where, we always have full stadiums. Don't know how many fans are traveeling to support theirteams in Africa, but I guess that these countries closest to Ivory Cost will get biggest support. I just hope that vuvuzelas isn't big thing there Cheesy.
400  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How is an ordinary person's week going in your country? on: January 10, 2024, 09:22:10 PM
I I work typical week from Monday to Friday. But not from 8 AM to 5 PM. Such schedule doesn't fits for me. I start my work early at 5:30-6 AM. I get up about 30-40 minutes before work, eat sandwhich with coffee or tea and then go to work, I reach it in about 10 minutes. My works end somewhere 2-2.30 PM.
After work currently I spend most of time at home watching TV, scrolling phone or playing something on PC. I hate winter - it's cold, dark and ugly, don't want to go out of home at all Cheesy.
During warm season I barely spend time at home. I love to cycle long distance, it's best relax for me. Also, sometimes I go to play basketball with friends, grill or just go to pub drink some beer on weekend.

Do you have holidays 21 days a year? That's a lot.
In my country we have 20 work days which is given as holidays. If you use it all at once, it's whole month with weekends included. But most people divide it in parts, taking one or two week holidays at once.
Also, if you work at same place for 5 years, you get 1 day extra, for 10 years you get 3 days.
