1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: June 13, 2024, 06:44:31 PM
I'm enjoying this season more and more.  Grin  The gap between Red Bull and others is closer now as you can see. Verstappen can't dominate every race that easy anymore which is great to see.

I didn't understand why McLaren didn't call Norris to pit at the same time with his direct rivals when he had a great time advantage. I think Norris really deserved to win this race so no wonder why he was the "driver of the day".

Another interesting thing was seeing Ferrari gamble with Leclerc's race. Why would you go for hards while it was still slippy and likely to rain more??  Huh  I can't imagine how frustrated Leclerc was after such a poor race.
Not that Ferrari needs my defense, but I think the track was drying, and what we need to remember is that when there are 20+ cars going about 300+ km per hour, the track is hotter than everywhere else, which means that it dries quite fast, even after rain, because those tires do leave skid marks that make it hotter and hotter.

So, their assumption was that because rain was leaving soon, if they do hard earlier than everyone else, they would be first ones to get advantage, sure maybe for one or tow laps it would be bad, but then it would balanace out and he would do better and everyone would pit and he would be ahead of a few people that way. The strategy obviously did not work, but it is totally understandable why they did it.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: June 13, 2024, 04:42:23 PM
Vincent Kompany and Bayern Munich are massively making quality additions to improve the squad ahead of the new season. They've just made conclusion with the new defender they signed up. In the next few days it would be completing the deal for Fulham defensive midfielder who was the best and highest when it comes to tackling in the Premier League Competition last season.

I want to see if Vincent Kompany is enough for the task. I'm not saying he is not good enough, but he doesn't seem tactically better than Xabi Alonso.
I hope they don't disappoint Harry Kane no more this upcoming season.

He's played too many games in the Champions League Competition and he has a good knowledge of how intense every round gets. I do not expect him to be knocked out too early. Most likely the Semi finals would be the last place we see him. Still not smiling he couldn't win the three trophies this season.
There is no doubt about few things with Vincent Kompany is having good start, and currently he is trying to fix their main problem which give them headache which mean he understands how things will be work for him and Bayern Munich in the coming season even right now we can't talk about anything with any result can happen and things can go favourable for the Bayern Munich and Vincent Kompany as well but still it's never been easy.

As player, he is having good experience in all competitions, but now he is going to join another level which is surely not easy and here peoples will watch about his abilities with can he manage things at this level, or he is going to have early exit even Bayern Munich is having one of the best squad, and we can expect another good season with Bundesliga is surely challenging, and they need to be aggressive which will help them for having better results.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Stake F1 Team on: June 13, 2024, 01:29:22 PM
It's not just happening to you; I experience that same thing often too. For sure not only us. This is why I don't play the originals by Stake much anymore. As much as possible I stick to sports betting. Actually, someone posted on the scam accusations board about something similar regarding the Original by Stake, implying there's some cheating involved. They say that originals are probably fair but when I'm playing these game it feels not probably fair.
Slots games are completely algorithm based so there is a lot of cheating because you are betting there to win and you are predicting that you will win that bet but you cannot understand or see what is happening in the backend of the game. so it is much higher risk. But those who enjoy gambling do not worry about win loss. But if we see that they are cheating us by using different tricks then it cannot be accepted. I still don't understand that they are cheating somehow. I think we lose gambling because of our bad luck
I would say that back-end doesn't really matter, of course it is not decided on screen with animation in reality, backend just randomizes, it is a very simple code really, you could make a very simplified version of it on c# with like 10-15 lines of code, something that randomizes between 1-10 and if you guess the correct one then you are going to win type of thing.

We should consider the fact that we are going to end up with a great result without a doubt. I feel like the best thing we can do right now would be just focusing on how to get better, and for that to happen Slots are going to just stay the same with the backend, and the improvement will mostly happen based on what you do not see. Same goes for plinko and dice and so forth as well.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2024, 12:08:22 PM
Maybe it's time for Barcelona to let go of one of their players and this time Newcastle are interested in signing Ferran Torres. Newcastle offered a fee of 20 million euros including bonuses for Barcelona but I think this offer is quite low considering Ferran Torres' market value is 30 million euros. Maybe Newcastle can increase the fee a little more so that Barcelona wants to let him go.

On the other hand, Barcelona certainly knows this is an opportunity to increase their increasingly poor financial resources and at least they have the funds to buy players under the tutelage of their new coach Hansi Flick. Moreover, even though Ferran Torres has recently been getting quite a lot of playing minutes, his overall performance is still lacking.
There is no doubt now things are looking for the change into Barcelona because they are having new coach with they also needed few new players and their financial situation is not allowing them to have these changes but if they are able to sell their few players which are having good price tag then surely they can take good opportunity for this Ferran Torres is 24 years old and skilled forward and winger which can give good performance at the Newcastle United hopefully both parties will be able to have things on track during this transfer window and will be having good for the all stakeholders.

As we are having few updates, most chances we will have few players from Barcelona will be on verge of their careers are going to take another change because now it's time for they all to think about this worst ever financial situation and try to bring better things.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could 72K USD be the peak for this bull run? on: June 13, 2024, 09:44:09 AM
That's a low target, people are eyeing $120k to be an easy target for them this bull run because we are only in the second month after the halving event so far, and there is still a long way ahead of us. The next couple of years will be crucial for Bitcoin because we will see surprises in them, and those surprises can be both positive and negative. However, the whole market is optimistic for a second phase of the bull run because we haven't seen its full force yet.

For me, I believe that even if there isn't as much movement as we are all expecting, it will still go above $80k pretty easily because we have already seen it getting to $73k to set a milestone for this season but it doesn't seem to be the end of the bull season yet, there is a layer of it remaining and we are going to see that.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Involve an attorney in your business dealings. on: June 13, 2024, 08:42:23 AM
this is truly essential if someone really trying to make business deals and we are talking about some not measly amount of money where if you just not diligent enough to know that there's term that can cut you off your rights you gonna get in the losing side later on.
there's always reason why the big company always have legal department because they know that every business need someone that knows well about law and will oversee the legality from many aspects, you know sometime some people just ignore the importance of lawyer to skim through their contract to save some pennies ended up in unfavourable side because they don't even understand what they are signing.

spending some additional money is worth it for anything that involves large amount of capital, only people that have thoroughly learned about law will know that some term is trying to give advantage to the contract maker.
to be fair you can always use AI these days but its not guarantee, just letting AI do all the work will never give you high accuracy of how fair the contract is, some AI only fed with outdated data, regulation always changes, the AI can be outdated.
its always good to have someone help you take care of the law and regulation related thing even more so if that person is knowledgeable about the law and keep being updated.
but yes you gonna spend some additional money so always take that into account.
Successful businesses are built on good policies, terms, and mutual trust. If you are doing business and you and your partner have the same amount of capital, chances are less that he will cheat on you. If anyone wants to run and carry his business successfully, he needs to act honestly and never cheat his partners as this will not only damage his own business but also others'. In my view, he will be suspicious forever. If all these things are left aside, it is better to take the legal route to avoid all this and never let this happen.

Many people don't go through the hoops of lawyers and courts before starting a business because they have to pay a good amount in taxes and lawyers' fees. It is very true that if we are saving a little of our money, we may be cheated and lose all our money. It is better to hire a good lawyer or prepare a stamp paper. It should be done with the signatures of both parties and legally verified so that no one could cheat.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 12, 2024, 05:06:32 PM
I think the minimum acceptable result that is expected from a United coach is top 4, right? Here's how bookmakers see the teams' chances:

Manchester City - 1.10

Arsenal - 1.25

Liverpool - 1.53

Chelsea - 2.38

Newcastle United - 2.75

Manchester United - 3.00

Tottenham Hotspur - 3.00

Aston Villa - 4.00

So far, I see that United has dropped out of the list of elite clubs and will only fight with the underdogs, and even in that group it is not a favorite. It is unlikely that the appointment of another coach could change this picture much, but the fact remains: for United, getting into the top 4 is the end of dreams, their chances of winning the title are estimated at 1 in 26.
For the top four spots things are looking interesting because we all know three clubs are having no problem for the staying here with last fourth spot is going to the headache because few clubs are trying to improve their strength and fixing their problems which they face in last season but still there is no guaranteed about this who is going to stay for this spot, and we are having five clubs even I am personally having feeling Chelsea and Newcastle Untied are having not strong case but still they can take charge from the start which could be interesting.

Manchester United, Tottenham and Aston Villa could be in fight for this spot with things are clearly indicating this could be not easy and all have to give his best if they want to have this hot seat which is dream for these top clubs with momentum is important, and they have to give their best for staying into these spots.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2024, 03:59:03 PM
Manchester United will very likely stick with Erik Ten Haag next season, https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1800662592035451155
new contract talks are still ongoing, and their focus for next season will be with their young players like Mainoo and Garnacho, and if they will focus on young players, maybe there will be an opportunity for Greenwood return to Manchester United and become the main squad there? Man United fans reportedly don't like him after the cases he experienced, but if he can perform well at Getafe, maybe he will also be able to develop well at United next season, and United will be one of the teams with quite a young squad so they could be even stronger. in the next few seasons.
So Erik Ten Hag is staying at Man United? It's good that there is still a chance to start again and the management believes Erik Ten Hag can bring the club better, but there is no chance that during the journey when things are bad Erik Ten Hag can be fired at any time.

Actually, Man United still has a lot of young players with potential, it's just Erik Ten Hag's job to be able to cultivate these players well, but I think he can bring better even though there is always criticism.
About Greenwood what is Erik Ten Hag's decision? The news is that he is also feuding with the coach.
Situation is very confusing with things are going completely out of the way like we have rumours there are Thomas Tuchel is ready for taking over from the Eric Ten Hag and now suddenly we are having new update like they are going to extend contract which is fascinating because I was also sure now most chances he is going to leave, and we are going to have new changes but as this new is now circulating it is taking new way and Manchester United management want to have better results with youngsters which is possible but is this working no one is clear about this all.

No one having any doubt about this with too many skilled youngsters are available, and they can turn the tables with their talent which is surely going to be amazing for them but is there any chance Eric Ten Hag can handle this all because in last season things were completely out of the control for him, and we are having worst ever end of the season with many new records are also already set which are surely needs to be had serious change.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 12, 2024, 03:10:52 PM
I do not care who says what, Ronaldo will not be able to play at this one. Dude is already 40, he would be like 42 or something by that time, not sure if he will be still playing football at that age but even if we assume that he still plays, he will not be playing at national team when world cup comes.

There are already quite limited number of players that teams can send, so that means they are not going to spend one of the slots to a 42 year old Ronaldo, he is already not doing that great, even in 2022 world cup he was benched after a while, and now we are seeing him getting to something four years later? Of course not, he will not have a place. Maybe if they do that like emotionally, like so he would be a leader, but I doubt they would, he doesn't look like a leader at all.
I do agree with this, but in a different approach. I do agree with the part that he could still be called up as a "leader", like a veteran presence, like someone who would be there not to play but to motivate the players and to be fair liked or not Ronaldo is still Ronaldo and I think people would listen to him when he suggests something. When he is a player, if he says something then other players may think that he is just out for himself, but when he is not playing at all, then we are talking about someone who is doing something that will be just for the good of the team.

So, I think if he is playing and he desires to play at that one, then they could still call him up, but I agree that not for playing because he is already not good even now.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: June 12, 2024, 12:48:22 PM
When he complains of gambling, he can’t completely put the blame on it because it depends on how you gamble too. First rule is that no matter how good you are, you should never gamble money with desperation. Most times it clogs your view of things and you end up messing up. Gamble slowly and steadily. Some people want to buy houses and cars overnight and gambling for such unrealistic goals would only make it worse.
Not completely, but they can't blame gambling at all because it's a choice for everyone whether they want to gamble or not and they are not forced to do it. Any adult should be able to decide what is right or wrong for them, especially when it comes to things that involve finances. You can't say that you didn't know that you could lose everything because you already knew when getting into gambling that it's a game of luck and there are two outcomes for everyone who gambles.

I don't like it when people make a decision themselves when they are completely in their senses and understand the possible outcomes of their decision and then when they face negative consequences because of their decision, they start blaming other people or things or start making excuses instead of accepting the reality.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: June 12, 2024, 09:36:51 AM
Maybe it is something new to people that are not in gambling or they just gamble a few times in their lives that they can say there is only joy in gambling after winning and then there's pain when losing. I believe this is something wrong, if a person only found joy in winning and then pain in losing it obviously means that someone is betting money that he or she cannot afford to lose. We only need to bet small amounts of money so it won't cost us pain if we lose.

Indeed, there is more thrill and excitement when betting especially when we're watching the games live.
"Can afford to lose." Yes, that's the key to avoiding being frustrated in gambling and that's also the way that we won't be one of those people who call gambling sites a scam just because they lose what they cannot afford to lose.
I get it, they are hurting because of losing the money, I've been in that same position before but I never came to a position where I would call a gambling site a scam. Put the blame on the providers, especially in slots, they are the ones who made the system like that where we won't be winning in a faster way. Let's also blame ourselves because there are times we are winning and yet greed won't make us stop. Grin It's the truth and I know many will understand me.

I agree that sports betting is better at giving more thrill to the game when you know you placed some money for your favorite team/player.
That happens when a person loses a lot of money in a single platform, and even though it's their own mistake because they don't have control over themselves and have lost the money due to that, they would still go ahead and blame the casino for it because they are badly hurt and frustrated and they want to take out their frustration somewhere and they feel that the casino is the best and easiest target for them since it has also taken their money.

I have also lost a lot of money in gambling, and sometimes you would even lose a bunch of money at once and that makes you feel extremely bad, but I have never thought of going somewhere over the internet and accusing the casino for scamming or cheating me because that would be a complete lie.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you lost the money that you where supposed to withdraw from online casino? on: June 12, 2024, 05:06:41 AM
so have you experienced a thing like this from any online gamble site that make you to lose the money that you wanted to withdraw?
First of all, no, I have never done anything like that even though I have seen other people doing it where they try to withdraw, wait for some time, and for some reason the withdrawal doesn't go through, and the funds are returned to the account of the gambler and then the gambler starts gambling with it again and loses it all. Fortunately, I'm patient enough to keep myself safe from doing such things and I never touch the money that I'm supposed to withdraw.

Secondly, the phrase that you used is wrong, you can't say that the gambling site or the casino made you lose the funds because they didn't do that,  you are the one who didn't have patience to wait for 24 hours and they didn't allow you because you already made a lot of withdrawals for the day.
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 11, 2024, 04:48:15 PM
Maybe many of them are just butthurt like what you said but also there are some that have been cheated by gambling sites as we also knew that not all gambling sites operates as how we are seeing and knowing them now because there are other side of each gambling site.
that I also  believe that many of them will try to take players money but when they are being called then things changed and indeed they are paying the taken money from those gamblers sad but reality , while other sites pretend to  be not intended to act such but deep inside its their tactics to take fund from those who have no capacity to run against their behavior .
You are right but the odds of reputable casino platforms doing something like that are very low and we know that most casino platforms we have in this forum are at least somewhat reputable apart from the ones that are being announced newly, and if a gambler chooses a new casino and faces a situation like that, we can't blame them because the platform is new and doesn't have a high reputation in the community yet but this is also important for gamblers to make sure they are not depositing large amounts in fairly new casinos.

Nothing can be done about those who are butthurt because they have lost their money in a casino and now want to accuse them of being scammers. Some such gamblers would even create fake proofs such as fabricated or edited chat screenshots that they claim are real and were done with the customer support team.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you pay for car repairs with Bitcoin? Why not :) on: June 11, 2024, 02:40:55 PM
It's a good move. By accepting Bitcoin payments and telling others about cryptocurrency, you're not only reducing transaction fees but also contributing to spreading your knowledge about cryptocurrency to others. Your effort is consistent with the original spirit of Bitcoin which aims to decentralize finance and
make privacy more accessible to transactions by integrating Bitcoin payments into your repair shop.

Cryptocurrencies are contributing to the growth of the e-ecosystem. Keep up the good work and make more people aware of cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin who knows you may introduce a new wave of cryptocurrencies in your area and that is going to boost the overall adoption of Bitcoin in the long run.

Keep up the good work.
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Stake F1 Team on: June 11, 2024, 12:01:42 PM
If we pay attention to the participants in each Freeroll there are around 2500 users and let's just say 500-1000 users play every day on real mode then we can imagine how much they gain from the house edge. By the way, what is the ideal house edge for Poker games? should it be 1% since it's an inhouse game?
Honestly speaking, I doubt that there will be 500-1000 users when it comes to real mode game. The prizepool of the freeroll is quite attractive to be missed by those who like free roll tournament. When it comes to cash game or buy-in tournament, the number of participants can be lower than what you expect. We have many examples in this crypto industry where there are many poker sites unable to survive because they got so low interest. About house edge, as mentioned by arallmuus above, the most common used terminology is rake. As an addition, rake is usually few percent taken from the pot (in the cash games).
That is true of course, you can't expect 2500 freeroll users to all pay up, there will be much less and that is alright because it is not a big deal. I understand that some people may want to see thousands on those type of paid big tournaments as well, but it is fine if it doesn't happen just yet.

We need to wait for it and if it works fine then we are going to be fine about it as well, but if we end up with nothing at all then it is going to be an issue and we should of course keep expecting the best from them at all times but sometimes we just need to accept the good they are doing as well. I personally believe that they are doing fine right now, and they have absolutely nothing to worry about neither, they are doing just fine at the moment.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What about low odds in sports betting? on: June 11, 2024, 09:56:22 AM
I recently came across a discussion about low odds in sports betting. I never believed that using low odds in sports betting could lead to success. And I believed that the reason for this state of affairs was that one loss can cancel out many victories. For me, this seemed like something that did not require proof, until a man began to argue with me, who, according to him, had achieved success in sports betting and had been taking profits from bookmakers for a long period.
 His strategy is:
1. He selects matches with relatively low odds, the outcome of which is more or less clear. For example, when an experienced team plays with outsiders.
2. You should choose many such matches for diversification purposes, so that one random loss does not wipe out all your winnings.
3. It follows from this that in most cases, low odds work out, and random losses are offset by a large number of wins.
I would like to ask you, what do you think about such strategies? What do you think are the disadvantages of this strategy?
The only disadvantage of this strategy is that if you lose consecutive bets, you will start to lose a lot of money. If you are choosing odds like 1.2 or something, you will need to win 5 matches to cover what you have lost in a single game because you are only getting 0.2x over your bet. So the profitability of this strategy depends on how many games you are winning and how often you are getting a loss or a few losses.

I believe someone shouldn't always target lower odds because sometimes, the odds don't play out the way they are shown, and the side with lower odds might lose the game against a team that gives higher odds if chosen, and this can put the sports bettor at a loss in case they lose two or more such games.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: June 11, 2024, 08:44:22 AM
but gamblers who are addicted to gambling will not be able to easily pay and pay off their debt if they don't have money or when they have money, they might even have the thought of going back to gambling first to double up. their money and hope to win, the aim of which is to cover all losses including the debts that surround them.
That's the problem and that is the reason why a gambler should never borrow money from anyone to gamble with it because they will never be able to return the money because as you said, even if they manage to get some money from somewhere, they will think of gambling with it again so that they can win more money with it and have something left for them after they repay the loan but what happens is that they lose the money again and then again have nothing to repay the loan.

I have also seen gamblers taking loans on top of current loans, which means that they take a bigger loan from somewhere else to repay a pending loan and have some money left that they can use for gambling hoping for a win and repaying the loan but that barely happens and they eventually lose it all and then have more burden.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the best time to trade a Bitcoin on: June 11, 2024, 03:32:32 AM
Having Bitcoin is not difficult, because even if it's only 1 satoshi, you can immediately have it as long as you make a purchase, no matter how much you actually have. The only difficult thing is to immediately understand crypto trading. It is not easy to learn once you enter; it is not possible the next day.

You already know everything; trading is not designed like that in the Bitcoin industry. So, if you want to trade Bitcoin, you can do that right away; even now, you can do that, but the question is, do you have extensive knowledge of chart analysis in an exchange? Do you know how to read a trading graph? Yes, it is true that it is based on price prediction, but there is a basis using different tool indicators.
We can even get 1 Satoshi for free in a BTC faucet but the only problem is they have minimum amounts to withdraw, so yeah that the only best way to instantly have a BTC is to buy it. We must only understand that there is also a minimum when buying a BTC on some exchanges. This is due to the fee and maybe to prevent from spamming the network but who wants only 1 Satoshi anyway? Lol.

Trading is not only limited to crypto, so if we have a knowledge about it before, it might also be possible to apply it here in crypto immediately. Indeed trading is still predicting or guessing but it's more on a educated guess with the help of analysis and tools.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: June 10, 2024, 07:11:30 PM
Fenerbahce presidential elections is over, I am always in awe that they have "presidents" that they elect and not owners, which very few leagues offer that type of thing (as far as I know Real  Madrid and Barcelona was like that too if I am not wrong). Same president will continue, while they have not won anything at all, they have done quite well, and it looks like financially they are spending more and earning more from transfers, so the fans basically said that they trust the process.

It happens, sometimes teams do a lot worse before they start to dominate, they just wanted to get rid of the debt, hence why zero improvements on any stadium or facilities as well. I feel like with Mourinho and more money, they are about to do something quite well this season.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The BTC stability on: June 10, 2024, 11:33:01 AM
I think BTC is very volatile to use it as a value reserve of a big company or a country. But it is awesome seeing its capability to speculate and invest in long term. Today I watched a video on YouTube a rich man saing that BTC is 80% of his patrimony. I think it can be dangerous. And all of you? Also are all in?
Bitcoin has always being known for its volatility from when it was made , using it has a reserve is all has to do with the individual's understanding of Bitcoin and the risk involve. Before someone can have 80% of his patrimony in Bitcoin,he knows what he stands to profit if being kept for a long term. In terms of risky ,it has to do with your mindset because there is nothing we do in this life that is not risky, you just have to keep your fears aside and be positive/trust always when investing in Bitcoin , despite the volatile nature of Bitcoin,it is still profitable.
If before, I guess BTC is more of a currency because I think it is much stable in the past than compared to now. This is why we are seeing people using their BTC for purchasing something but if you notice now, almost all people are only talking about their BTC investment despite BTC having a wide support now for merchants.

I think a reserve is like an alternative only, and we might still have other alternatives than it, so I wouldn't worry too much in case something bad happens with BTC. Risks doesn't only depend on the mindset but also on our actions. For example putting more money is highly risky. It is only highly rewarding too, once we successfully passed the trials.
