141  Other / Politics & Society / What do you think of my latest rap song on: October 20, 2014, 11:26:24 AM
I decided to make it politically correct to prevent criticism from social democrats ('liberals'), environmentalists, and feminists

Hello guys,
What's up
I like engaging in sexual intercourse with women
Only if they consent to it first of course
I make a lot of money
But I pay my taxes so they can build the roads
I like speeding in my luxury vehicle,
But I make sure I use Hybrid/Electric cars,
I also never go above the speed limit,
When I do, however, I make sure I know my rights when I'm ticketed
This is what I enjoy doing
Making all the money,
Well not all the money, that would be monopoly
I like smoking marijuana,
Only for medicinal purposes of course
I like having sex with promiscuous women that engage in consensual sexual activities for money,
But I make sure to stay safe by using condoms,
If they get pregnant, I pay for their abortions
I consume alcohol in moderation,
But not on election day, that's when I'm voting for Obama

142  Other / Politics & Society / Thoughts on microchip implants? on: October 20, 2014, 09:11:56 AM
What are your thoughts on microchip implants? Do you think they will positively contribute to society?

Here is what I think.

We already use smartphones, they have become our own personal identification. We have the forced National ID, which we are required to possess at all times and may get in serious trouble if found without one. We could abolish the National ID and have optional, not mandatory implants. I think they'll allow us to easily combat human trafficking. If we can integrate GPS tracking in such a chip, a missing child can not only be found easily, but we can eliminate the chances of such a tragedy happening. We could also devise a way to pay using Bitcoin by scanning it, similar to the QR code method we have.

Of course, we are many many years behind such a thing to ever be released. The technology exists alright, but not in an implantable form due to public opinion (See: Google Glass, SmartWatch, for wearable devices)

Just need a Facebook code received on a phone number
If the number is not approved because it's been used too many times, then the transaction will not be fulfilled

145  Other / Meta / Where do I report abuse for the trust system? on: October 19, 2014, 11:50:40 AM
Where may I report a user who I feel may be abusing the trust system by false reports/extortion? I have clear evidence this is happening to someone on the forums and feel I should intervene to maintain the reliability of the system.

147  Bitcoin / Armory / How do I change the folder for the blockchain on: October 19, 2014, 03:52:33 AM
I know the blockchain is huge (like 50 GB) and I wanna save it to my 1 TB hard drive instead of my 60 GB HDD which has only 800 mb left ;(
148  Other / Meta / Need help going anonymous on Bitcointalk on: October 19, 2014, 02:41:11 AM
I wanted to set up a new account over TOR, but it says I have to pay a tax for that

Now here's the problem, all transactions on the Blockchain are logged, and if I send one from my main wallet they will automatically know it's me who possesses the account, just by tracking my wallet.

How can I overcome this problem?
149  Bitcoin / Armory / Armory synchronizing with network since last year on: October 17, 2014, 07:28:40 PM
Hello, I've been trying to synchronize on Ubuntu, every time it just says "Oh too slow using torrent blahblahblah" then snaps back to 0%, Then I restart it. Cycles been going on for a year now.
150  Other / Off-topic / SSL compromised on: October 15, 2014, 11:42:22 PM
"An attack affectionately known as "POODLE" (Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption), should put a stake in the heart of SSL, and move the world forward to TLS."

"We often refer to the worlds most popular encryption standard as SSL, but SSL was replaced by a newer standard, TLS, back in 1999. The name however, stuck."
"Yesterdays announced POODLE flaw is in SSL version 3. The newer TLS is fine."

"POODLE is a chosen-plaintext attack similar in effect to BREACH; an adversary who can trigger requests from an end user can extract secrets from the sessions (in this case, encrypted cookie values). This happens because the padding on SSLv3 block ciphers (to fill out a request to a full block size) is not verifiable - it isn't covered by the message authentication code. This allows an adversary to alter the final block in ways that will slowly leak information (based on whether their alteration survives verification or not, leaking information about *which* bytes are interesting). Thomas Pornin independently discovered this, and published at StackExchange.

On its own, POODLE merely makes certain cipher choices no longer as trustworthy. Unfortunately, these were the last ciphers that were even moderately trustworthy - the other ciphers available in SSLv3 having fallen into untrustworthiness due to insufficient key size (RC2, DES, Export ciphers); cryptanalytic attacks (RC4); or a lack of browser support (RC2, SEED, Camellia). The POODLE attack takes out the remaining two (3DES and AES) as trustworthy (and covers SEED and Camellia as well, so we can't advocate for those)."

Hello, I think I have found some counterfeit Bitcoin on my DOS machine.

Where can I turn them in to the authorities before my device is confiscated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation?
152  Other / Off-topic / TOR-Chat on: October 15, 2014, 06:25:38 PM
So, the Bitcoin community suggested me (and everyone) to get rid of Facebook messenger, and instead gave the alternative TOR Browser.

So I'm safe from the prying eyes of Facebook and other greedy corporations. Yaaay

Well,

Too bad I have nobody added.

That's right. Nobody wants to use TOR-Browser. All my friends are on Facebook, and I don't even want to explain them what TOR is, let alone how to use it.

I'm a miserable loner, will anybody at all bother to help me make better friends?HuhHuh??

Friends that actually value security?!
153  Other / Off-topic / How to divide by zero on: October 15, 2014, 06:09:07 PM
Consider these mathematical laws:

1) Any real number, when divided by zero, produces modulus and quotient zero.
Example: 0/2 = 0

2) Any real number multiplied by zero is equal to zero.

Therefore, it logically follows, that zero divided by zero is equal to zero.

156  Other / Politics & Society / "If you keep fucking around with me you're going to end up like Michael Brown!" on: October 07, 2014, 06:02:40 PM
"If you keep fucking around with me you're going to end up like Michael Brown!", threatens a very violent, black member of the New York Police Department, as he repeatedly punches and kicks an unarmed white teenager for a harmless prank.

The "prank" was a one minute and forty nine seconds clip of the teenager attempting to sell a plastic bag of sugar to a police officer, who retaliates by aggressively tackling the innocent victim on the ground and kicking the victim's helpless body, as he screams in pain and apologizes. After he's done, he is seen screaming "Get the fuck out of here!", tipping his hat when the prankster leaves.

I'm looking for $3.79 USD Paypal cash, to be exchanged for Bitcoin

Since this is my first time making a trade on a forum full of strangers I am, indeed, nervous, but will have no difficulty initiating the trade.

Please post all offers here and not on PM, it makes it easier for me to pick that way. Thank you
158  Other / Politics & Society / America finally announces five star plan to combat Ebola on: October 02, 2014, 04:09:10 PM
'Murka, home of the brave, has just announced its complex and well thought out plan to combat Ebola.

With guns.

"Ebola cannot be shot, stabbed, or hit with a drone strike like innocent Pakistani people. Why then are approximately 1,400 soldiers set to be deployed to West Africa in October?"

159  Economy / Services / Know Android? Know the Samsung Note 10.1? Help me with a small issue for 3mBTC on: October 02, 2014, 06:04:50 AM
I have an Android tablet (Samsung SM-P605) and I wanted to install the Cerberus application on it, but since I'm new to this, I needed help.

I know how to grab it from the Google Play store, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want to install Cerberus as a system application, so even after a factory/hard reset, the tablet will still have the app on the phone.

I'm looking for the extra features listed on their FAQ:

  • I have a rooted device. Can I get additional features?
Yes! If you have rooted your device you can integrate Cerberus into your ROM and get two additional features: complete uninstall protection (Cerberus will even survive a wipe/factory reset) and GPS auto-enabling even on Android 2.3.3 and later. To have these features uninstall Cerberus, then download cerberus.zip, put it on the sd card and install it from recovery. Cerberus is also available on ROM Manager.

I don't want to root my device as it voids my warranty, is there an alternative way?

This is what their FAQ said:

  • I don't want to root my device, but it has an unlocked bootloader. Can I have the root features anyway?
Yes! You have to install a custom recovery first (google "your device model custom recovery" for more info). Then download cerberus.zip, rename it to update.zip and put it on the sd card. Reboot into recovery and install it.

That's not very helpful, I tried googling "Sm-P605 custom recovery" and I got nothing but instructions on how to root my phone, which is against what I was looking for!

Please help me!!! Sad

Apparently, it triggers "KNOX" to "0x1" which means the device will be marked rooted, voiding my warranty!

What are some good vacation ideas (for a year or so) to spend some time overseas while Bitcoin Core reindexes blocks?

I was thinking of flying to Switzerland. Thoughts?
