Brain Ransomware

The Government is Ransomware for your Brain

One of the unfortunate developments in the digital age is the manifestation of a new type of computer virus know as Ransomware. The Ransomware is sent to the target computer and when this virus infects the target computer it encrypts the data on the hard drive making it unusable. A very professional letter is then displayed to the computer owner. It informs them their data has been encrypted for their "protection". However if they do not pay the ransom payable in bitcoins in a short period of time they will lose their data forever.

Since I have been involved with Crypto-currency, I have had more calls than l want to count to sell people bitcoins needed to pay this Ransomware fee. Usually it is businesses that are targeted as most home users when hit with this virus, reload the operating system and kiss their pictures goodbye The price usually is about $700 worth of bitcoin. Once they pay the fee, a key is sent to the customer that allows them to return their computers to their unencrypted state. I hate going on these calls, because bitcoin is the most amazing technology to make the world a better place and yet for most of these people, this is their first exposure to it. The principle reason that bitcoin is used is because it is anonymous and the ransomware customer can not reverse the transaction once the key is received and the computer is unencrpyted.

So right now, I am using my computer just as you are as well, I go to my email and open an attachment and OMG now the computers all phuked up. The government "works" the same way. I am going along minding my own business, enjoying my life and along comes this violent criminal organization that places a virus on my brain known to most as "government". This violent criminal organization, known as the BORG, just loves to get into my business and your business too, in fact your business IS their only business! Every time I want to do something, somehow without my permission I find I have to engage with the BORG. Everything they do is for RANSOM!

Everybody else in the 3 dimensional world generally operates by persuasion, being nice and offering choices and convenience. Through the laws of supply and demand they must add value to the transaction or they become obsolete. However this violent criminal organization doesn't operate like that at all. They operates through violence, threat of violence, kidnapping, theft, killing, fraud and RANSOM! I can only imagine how much more effective I could be as a salesman, if I could only lock my customers in a cage for a while, to persuade them into needing my product and determine for them what they need to pay for it.

Whenever I have to deal with these criminals I feel like I have gotten ectoplasm on me, like the goo they had on "Ghostbusters". The only way to get it off, is to pay them a Ransom! At least with the Ransomware, once you remove it from your computer you only have to pay them once. With the government, they have set up a convenient system, for them of course, to keep getting payed over and over and over again. The government can be very very hard to get out of ones life. Every time you turnaround they want money and if your don't pay them, they hold you HOSTAGE!

I want to buy food and if "you're" living ...

Coup Plotting: A US Tradition

Stephen Lendman

Were US dirty hands involved in Friday's failed attempt to oust Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from power?

Relations with Obama are strained. During Erdogan's March 31 - April 1 Nuclear Security Summit participation in Washington, no meeting between both leaders was scheduled, no White House invitation afforded.

He's more tolerated than welcome. Establishment organization Brookings invited him to speak.

Mayhem followed, his security guards making Washington look like Ankara, assaulting journalists covering his address, clashing with peaceful demonstrators outside the venue, protesting his crackdown on press freedom, other human rights abuses, war on Turkish Kurds and support for ISIS in Syria.

It's likely Washington prefers dealing with someone else in Ankara - whether enough to want Erdogan forcefully toppled isn't clear.

Meet Riffle, the next-gen anonymity network that hopes to trounce Tor

Next week, top eggheads will unveil a new anonymizing internet tool that they claim is snoop-proof and faster and more reliable against attack than Tor.

Dubbed Riffle, the system was developed by MIT and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland. It uses the same onion-encryption system as Tor, which wraps messages in layers of encryption as they travel through the anonymizing network to disguise the route they've taken.

Like Tor, Riffle [paper PDF] runs connections through a mix network of nodes, bouncing packets from system to system to obscure the origin. What separates Riffle from Tor is that the former has extra defenses to potentially prevent spies from unmasking its users

Could Steem be the Next Bitcoin?

I have been involved time as a crypto-currency trader for the since February, 2013. After my buddy |"Big Kahuna" Brad gave a talk to me and about 20 of my friends at a meeting, I was immediately very interested. It only took me a short while to acquire some Bitcoins to be able to start trading with. I went to Localbitcoins.com and found someone who would sell me Bitcoins. Actually it wasn't that easy. I emailed one person through the localbitcoins system, waited a couple days, no answer. I messaged another person, again no answer, then a third person, no answer, forth person, no answer. Finally the 5th person messaged me back! I was getting concerned, as there wasn't anyone else to connect with to buy them from.

I get messaged back by a guy named Salty Dog. I thought this is great, it's like being a secret agent, these people don't even use their legal fiction names. I had been going by Morpheus for a while, kinda tongue in cheek, so I set up my localbitcoins account as Morpheus, so that is what he knew me as. I set up a time with Salty to meet at Denny's in a crappy part of town. He sounded a little nervous about meeting there because of the neighborhood. It was convenient to meet there for both of us, so we agreed to meet there. I met with him and we ended up talking for about 2 hours. Much of the time he was almost wanting to talk me out of doing the deal. We ended up doing the deal and I had some bitcoins. I got started with $600 and the price of the coins was $38 with his markup.

When I was leaving the Denny's and paying the bill for both of us of $6.66 Now that threw me back somewhat, I still believe it's a sign, I just don't know what the "sign" says. I do remember thinking, "I am going to make a fucking million dollars doing this." Now three and half years later I have no idea how much money I have made. However I don't have a Job, I date two beautiful women, Everything I have is paid for, and I do whatever I want to do and I NEVER think about money, in terms of how am I going to pay for this or that. I don't go on trips around the world, but I do everything I want to do. The two attributes that value very much is my free time and my privacy.

These are two values that most people have no idea what they are. This is most peoples lives: Get up, get ready to go to work, drive car in insane traffic, work all day doing some mind bending task. Drive home in more insane traffic, some recreation, some time with family, do tasks around home, hygiene, go to bed and repeat. This is how the overlords want us living our lives. How do I know this? Because this is how most people live. 95% of the people are on the 40/40/40 plan. 40 years, at 40 hours a week, to retire on 40% of what you couldn't live on when you were working.

When people ask me how much money do I make, I describe my lifestyle and say I live like a millionaire without the Ferrari or the headaches. I have lived that lifestyle, yes without the Ferrari and with the headaches, when I had a direct mail company. There was the pressure of running the business; as well as, the responsibility for employees finances and indirectly their families lives is a bit much. As the owner, I used to call my self the head cook and bottle washer, because if it needed to get done, I would do it. From negotiating the lease, the painting the office with my x-wife of 3 coats, because the paint sucked. Getting the phone lines brought into the office and purchasing a phone system. Buying and building cubicles and endless trips for computers, printers and office supplies. Setting up computer networks and throwing Ethernet cables across the false ceiling. Writing employee handbooks, hiring and firing. Signing forms for all the appropriate government agencies. Negotiating contracts for trade shows and other advertisers including logo on the window. Website design. Working with the salespeople. Scheduling their time off, Selling, Bookkeeping, CPA's, Attorneys, Cleaning the floors and bathrooms. It's a lot! Yea, The money is great, it's just a lot of responsibility.

Now with Bitcoin I feel like I have my life back. Its mine! I love that feeling. I am not responsible for all that stuff anymore and I have all the money I need to do the things I want to do, when I want to do them. No customer service after the sale and I use a building someone else pays for to conduct business at and their headaches, I mean employees serve me food or drinks, clean the bathrooms etc. So apart from the gas to get there or any food I order, when I do a bitcoin deal every penny of money I make is MINE! I love that feeling!

What I didn't realize, when I first got started with Bitcoin, is that not everyone I explained Bitcoin to was going to "get it". Somehow, I was able to escape the school system with some semblance of critical thinking. Either that or God must love morons. BTW how do you know God loves morons? He made so many of them! Many people have told me the way I present Bitcoin is one of the best unfortunately, even as good as I am, Bitcoin has still not taken over the world. Enter Steem.

Steem is a platform that rewards the content providers for providing content for the network. Right now Facebook is valued at 337.32 BILLION dollars. Now I know bunches of people that spend a great deal of time on Facebook promoting the content they want their friend to see and none of those people ever get anything from Facebook for providing the content. We have seen how new business like uber.com, airbnb.com and craigslist.com have flattened existing industries. These business models have made things more efficient and cheaper for the consumer. Plus the owners of some of these business have made BILLIONS!

By combining crypto-currency with Social networking, Steem is positioning itself as the facebook.com, reddit.com, twitter.com, killer. Now you can post on steem and when your posts get up voted you make money. Just today, I got a call from a friend who wanted to buy bitcoins and he started talking about Steem. He was going to use the Bitcoins to buy Steem on Bittrex.com. Immediately after receiving his overview and looking at the pricing on coinmarketcap.com. I went to Bittrex.com and bought .5 bitcoins worth. I had to drive 1 hour to meet my friend in the time it took to get to the Dennys ironically the price had gone from 3.68 to almost $6. It has settled down now to $3.20 however the point is that this crypto-currency could be how we get the masses into this new protocol. This could be the next Bitcoin!

In the industrial age the way to success was to be bigger. Bigger means economy of scale and that means more profit. In the digital age the way to success is to be faster or smarter. When you see something that looks like it might work time to get on board the train before it leaves the station.

People want to be able to share their likes and what is wrong with the world with their friends. Now with Steem they can get paid for doing so. How much trouble is it going to be to get them to come over? Steem gives them the financial incentive to put their toe in the water. Oh, the water is nice and clear! Wow and they pay me too! F-U Facebook!

What happened to Wilicon? We liked his continual promoting of Trump.

Personally, I think that Wilikon realized that Hitlery will win, and has simply left the forum for fear that she will attempt to get revenge on all the people who promoted against her. He has gone far away, completely removing himself from all things that might point to himself as a Trump supporter.

What does anybody think?

The Never Ending War: Obama Orders 8,400 Troops to Stay in Afghanistan

After nearly 15 years of conflict and 2,378 deaths, the United States is still trying to find an exit to the longest war in American history. Millions of Americans voted for President Obama because he promised to withdraw our military from countries like Afghanistan, and two years ago he promised that by the end of his term, the only troops who remained would be guarding the US Embassy in Kabul.

Instead, it looks like there will be no further troop withdrawals for the duration of Obama's presidency. The President announced today that the 8,400 troops currently stationed in Afghanistan will remain there until 2017. That is 3,000 more troops than he had originally planed.

"The security situation in Afghanistan remains precarious," he said at a press conference on Wednesday, with Defense Ash Carter and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford standing beside him. "I strongly believe it is in our national security interest … that we give our Afghan partners the best opportunities to succeed."

Venezuelans Swarm Past Border In Search of Food: "We Crossed Because Our Children Are Hungry"

Venezuela is reaching the point of total desperation.

Women are now pouring over the Colombian border in effort to get their hands on groceries, trading on the black market and doing anything to survive.

That suggests other means of coping in the economically besieged capital of Caracas are wearing thin, and the difficulties of managing ordinary life under food shortages and long ration lines are forcing people to turn to alternative means of combating hunger.

According to the Miami Herald:

Dozens of Venezuelan women broke through a barricade along the Venezuelan-Colombian border on Tuesday with one goal in mind: finding food.

Local media in the Colombian border town of Cúcuta, estimated that more than 100 people — mostly women — defied Venezuela's border patrol and swarmed the frontier to do their shopping.

Inflation and falling oil prices have led to dramatic food shortages in Venezuela, and the border state of Táchira has been particularly hard-hit. In recent weeks, there have been widespread reports of looting and food riots.

"We decided to cross the border because there's no food in our homes and our children are hungry," one unnamed woman told Cúcuta's La Opinion newspaper.

[…]

Venezuela unilaterally shut down its 1,274-mile border with Colombia beginning in August of last year, saying that its subsidized goods were being smuggled out.

The women were defiant and easily overwhelmed the border agents in an act of bold desperation that created quite a scene on video:

This has become a full blown humanitarian crisis.

The ongoing struggle between socialist President Maduro and the U.S.-friendly opposition are dragging society down with it into the lowest places, to the disgrace of their tactics.

Starving the people of Venezuela will prove – apparently – how much power can be taken away from a despotic regime floating on the price of oil.

Scientists figured out how to regenerate teeth and eliminate root canals

Root canals are always fun, right? In reality, word that you need a root canal is some of the worst news most people get at the dentist. Whenever your dentist tells you that's the next procedure you're going have to go through, two things are clear beyond the pain you're about to endure: One, that your throbbing will finally soon go away, and the second is that the tooth that's getting the root canal is dead.

However, researchers have come up with a new kind of biomaterial that not only encourages the natural regeneration of teeth, but also might eliminate root canal procedures for good.

This Twinkie is 40 years old

The Twinkie was initially part of a science experiment at George Stevens Academy, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Then-chemistry teacher Roger Bennatti unwrapped the treat in his classroom in 1976 and placed it on top of a chalkboard to see how long it would take to rot.

Four decades later, the experiment is still ongoing.

The Twinkie, which looks a little pale but otherwise in good shape, now sits in a glass case the office of Libby Rosemeier, George Stevens Academy's dean of students.

Rosemeier was a student in Bennatti's class when the Twinkie was first unwrapped.

"We were studying the chemistry of food. We went next door to the store, bought Twinkies and we gave them to Mr. Bennatti and [asked him], 'How many chemicals do you think are in something like this?'" Rosemeier told the Bangor Daily News. "He said, 'Let's find out and see how long it lasts.' He opened the Twinkie package, ate one, and put the other one on top of the [chalkboard]."

Tim the Kenyan elephant seeks out human help after being hurt by spear

Tim, as he is known, made his way through Amboseli National Park to a camp of conservationists where he knew he would be helped.

David Bates was counting buffalo calves last month when word reached him that the 47-year-old tusker - an elephant with tusks weighing at least 100lb each - was headed his way.

"I was excited to see him," he told The Nation. "But then, as he drew closer to us, we realised that something was wrong.

"Protruding from his head was a spear, and on his forehead was a huge bleeding wound. It appears it was hit with a large rock."

It was dark by the time a vet from the Kenya Wildlife Service arrived so they tracked Tim through the night until it was light.

A tranquiliser dart was used to knock out Tim and inspect the wound.

"To all our relief, the spear wasn't poisoned, and had gone through the ear and merely scratched the skin underneath," said the Big Life Foundation. "Within five minutes, Tim was up and heading back to the swamps in the middle of Amboseli."

Democrats targeting content and control of the Internet, especially from conservative sources, are pushing hard to layer on new regulations and even censorship under the guise of promoting diversity while policing bullying, warn commissioners from the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Election Commission.

"Protecting freedom on the Internet is just one vote away," said Lee E. Goodman, a commissioner on the FEC which is divided three Democrats to three Republicans. "There is a cloud over your free speech."

Freedom of speech on the Internet, added Ajit Pai, commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission, "is increasingly under threat."

Pai and Goodman cited political correctness campaigns by Democrats as a threat. Both also said their agencies are becoming politicized and the liberals are using their power to push regulations that impact business and conservative outlets and voices.

Only 28 percent said they’re ready to move on from the Obama White House, while 6 percent are undecided.

Obama is enjoying a surprisingly strong approval rating for a president serving out the final months of his second term.

But after a virus infected his company computer, encrypting crucial files and leaving him and his team feeling helpless, he learned not only about computer security, but about an entire underground network of cyber thieves, ransomware and the digital currency known as bitcoin.

The story sounds more similar to a script for a spy thriller than a real-world occurrence, full of intrigue and secrecy, including a theft and a ransom note, the result of a virus attack that left no trail and few clues.

But this was no Hollywood movie. The attack and the ransom note were real.

Local Sheriff Blocks Feds From Raiding Peaceful Farmer

Sheriff Rogers followed up on a complaint from a local farmer, David Hochstetler and discovered that he would use his position to side with them because he saw that there was no justified cause for the obtrusive inspections that have going on since 2011 around twice a month.
They were searching for a reason to shut down Forest Grove Dairy Farm, so Rogers stepped in and blocked it. Then he started speaking out about it.

The big agriculture backed FDA along with the Department of Justice (DOJ) started the harassment approximately four years ago just because the hard-working farmer was producing raw milk and supplying some of the organic food co-ops. Thankfully, the government's steady war on small farmers was halted in this particular case.  Sheriff Rogers, authored a 600-word break down of the ordeal for the local newspaper in his contribution column called "Ask The Sheriff".

"Specifically, the FDA was inspecting his farm without a warrant as much as every two weeks. Typical inspections occur annually. The Department of Justice (DOJ) had subpoenaed him for a grand jury in Michigan in which he was to bring his production documents. The Feds wanted to make this farmer an example."

Why paying cash for hospital bills
is five times cheaper than
your government mandated Obamacare

You might want to consider just ditching the failed health insurance "tax" altogether and paying cash for medical services on an as-needed basis because, truth be told, you'll end up shelling out far less money in the long run.

This was the recent experience of a California woman named Caroline who, after receiving a hefty bill for a few simple blood tests, petitioned the hospital where the blood was drawn for answers. What she came to learn is that there's essentially two pricing tiers for medical services: the insurance rate and the cash rate.

Accustomed to just having her medical treatments billed to her insurance carrier, Blue Shield of California, Caroline was shocked to learn that the $269.42 she was responsible for paying out of pocket for the five blood tests she received -- this out of $408 total, the rest of which was covered by her insurance -- was nearly four times higher than the total cost would have been if she had just paid in cash, insurance aside.

A Hacking of More Than $50 Million Dashes Hopes in the World of Virtual Currency

A hacker on Friday siphoned more than $50 million of digital money away from anexperimental virtual currency project that had been billed as the most successful crowdfunding venture ever — taking with him not just a third of the venture's money but also the hopes and dreams of thousands of participants who wanted to prove the safety and security of digital currency.

The attack most likely puts an end to the project, known as the Decentralized Autonomous Organization, which had raised $160 million in the form of Ether, an alternative to the digital currency Bitcoin. While the computer scientists involved in the project are aiming to tweak the code that underpins Ether in a way that will recover the money, the theft is nevertheless prompting a bigger debate about the viability and principles of virtual currencies like Bitcoin and Ether.

"This is one of the nightmare scenarios everyone was worried about: Someone exploited a weakness in the code of the D.A.O. to empty out a large sum," Emin Gün Sirer, a computer science professor at Cornell who co-wrote a paper pointing out problems with the project, said on Friday.

Central banks and financial firms have been exploring how to use the technology underlying virtual currencies — known as blockchain — to improve their own internal systems. The technology is considered to have advantages in terms of transparency and security. Just last week, Janet L. Yellen, the Federal Reserve chairwoman, told central bankers at a trade industry conference that they should accelerate their efforts to explore blockchain.

But the incident on Friday provided another reminder of how the code can be just as vulnerable to human greed and mistakes as paper bills.

Two police officers who wish to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation say that James Wesley Howell, an Indiana man who was found with a car full of explosives and weapons on Sunday morning, told police he was part of a team that planned shooting attacks on gay communities in Florida and California.

Howell told police he was turning himself in because he wanted protection. His story was that he had been assured by his recruiters that he would not be harmed in the shooting but, when he heard on the news that Omar Mateen, the lead gunman in the Orlando group, had been killed by sniper fire, he realized he was being set up as a patsy and would be killed.

Soon after that, the FBI took over the investigation, and information to the public was filtered to remove any facts that might show the Orlando shooting as a planned event involving others. GetOffTheBS 2016 Jun 15 (Story) (Cached)

Paul Craig Roberts on Orlando Shooting:
Still No Evidence, No Blood, No Bodies

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts makes a very good point… if we cannot prove the story, we are entitled to disbelieve it.

In response to my challenge, readers report that they have found no evidence of bodies or blood. One person reports that a TV station posted names of some victims, which is the way the absence of Sandy Hook bodies was handled.

One person who said he is a veteran said the AR-15 can have a 30-round clip. That would mean four reloadings in order to shoot 103 people. The veteran said that the rifle can be reloaded in 5 seconds: one clip is dropped out, another put in, and the bolt released. But 5 seconds is not fast enough to prevent being rushed. Remember, sprinters can cover 100 yards—300 feet—in less than 10 seconds. Ordinary people who are not couch potatoes can cover 300 feet in 20 seconds. That means they can cover 150 feet in 10 seconds or 75 feet in 5 seconds or 15 feet in 1 second.. In the crowded club, people were likely no more than 10 feet from the shooter, 20 feet at the most. Moreover, if there is only one shooter, he can be rushed in an arc that he cannot possibly cover. It is difficult to imagine that there were no veterans in the club, no people aware that guns run out of bullets and have to be reloaded and that so many people would miss four opportunities to disarm the shooter. It is hard to imagine that none of the hundreds of people present were capable of presence of mind. Bottles could be thrown at him, glasses, chairs. And no one did anything?
